I am very impressed of the service, I recently got this really epic Cannondale that I enjoy dearly, its so much fun and its racing approved. I never thought of the day I would get a Cannondale road bike, so its a big plus up, and it changes everything. This is one of the few great neighborhood bike shops where I would go to for a quick fix, tune-up, or safety inspection since everything is fully open.

They should TEACH everyone how to operate during COVID. Wow. Truly impressive. Touch free service. Everything was sanitized, and legitimate social distancing. There was a spread out line but you would call the store in line to state your business, and they took care of everyone; kind of like taking a number at a deli. It was honestly impressive how they did it. So, I was insanely skeptical about purchasing a bike in this capacity, but I would urge anyone reading this to give this brand a chance before anyone else. Flipping amazing. I am blown away by you.

These guys are the best! Bike shops can be intimidating, but not Bicycle Therapy. They are great. They get right to the point, ask the right questions, provide good service, explain what they did and charge a fair price. Their notification system and follow up should be a lesson for other service providers regardless of the pandemic. Shout out to Lee for running a great shop. Shout out to Bree for being awesome. I have zero reservations about recommending Bicycle Therapy to my friends and family.

I recently needed a bicycle to get around and Bicycle Therapy was recommended. Despite limited availability of bikes due to the pandemic the shop was great and talked to me about what I was looking for, what they had available, and what fit my budget. They got the bike built up and ready to go in less than a week despite being busier than usual since everyone is looking to get outside in some capacity. There was an issue with the front brake within the first day of me bringing it home but they told me to come in and they would sort it out; they did and at no charge. Overall the customer service experience was great and I would 100% recommend anyone looking to get a bike or have their bike serviced to check them out!

Great local shop. Ordered a new bike recently, and they had it set up ready to ride within a day or so of getting the order shipment in. Chatted with a few mechs there and got some helpful advice about bike setup and components - they know their stuff. Also quality of service is top notch. If you dig the new Cannondale lineup as much as I do, you can’t go wrong with this place, buy your bike here. If you just need fix or tune-up they’re great for that as well.

I bought a bike from bicycle therapy during Covid 19. This was seriously one of the most amazing shopping experiences I’ve ever had. After going to two bike shops in South Philly and short being laughed away(apparently there is a huge bicycle shortage during the pandemic) Jess from Bicycle Therapy was there for me. I told her what I would be using the bike for and she had the perfect one for me. To be honest I have been super nervous about riding a bike in Philly and she gave me great advice on how to be safe in the city. Totally calmed my nerves! Thank you Jess, you are a gem! I LOVE my new bicycle!! 100% go here!

Right place, right attitude. Bicycle Therapy is a gem of a shop in the City. The location near the Schuylkill River Trail in Center City is ideal for those that live in town or those that visit.More than a nice selection of bikes and the strong repair work, this is a great place to relax after a long ride or just chat about cycling. The new lounge is a slick touch and Lees lifetime working and riding bikes is self-evident. Sam is also very knowledgeable and willing to offer advice. I know I am a stronger rider because of the tips that I have gotten from Bicycle Therapy.Whether you are a commuter or a enthusiast, BT is a good choice for a bike shop that epitomizes community.

Completely dissatisfied with the customer service here. As one other Google user on here already review his service with a flat tire, my experience was exactly the same. I had a flat tire fixed for $15 including service which I was completely happy with. They replaced the inner tube. Literally 24 hours later the same tire was flat again. I took the bike in 26 hours after the first service and explained that I was in yesterday thinking they would look at it and fix the original issue free of charge. Instead the mechanic told me, I highly doubt that we would miss a piece of glass in the tire. It is possible that the piece of glass was from a different event but 24 hours is extremely close to have the issue repeat. The owner of the place was standing right next to me when I explained all of this and didnt say a word. I even showed them the receipt I had in my wallet from the previous day and they still charged me again. I thought I would love this place as it is a very local business and is right next to where I work but I have no reason to return here any more. I would rather visit a different store that is not as convenient than go back here.

If youve always wanted a bike shop with the customer care and sense of community of a stolen bike on craigslist, Bicycle Therapy is for you. After buying a brand new bike here, every time Ive walked through the door Ive felt like all they see you as is walking $$ signs. They dont care if they sold you a defective bike that every local bike shop says they should have fixed for free (broken gears, of course they blamed me) and lets not forget the time they installed a bike basket that the screws fell off literately the day after, and they charged me $15 for redoing that. If you like that feeling of being expected to pay %40 of your bikes worth when you walk in for an annual check up for the bike you bought from them, then by all means, this place is for you.

This place is a joke. First I brought my bike in for popped tire that shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes to fix, it took them 4 days. I probably would have never gotten my bike if I didn’t call and ask them where it was as it seemed that they completely forgot about it. Secondly after I got off the phone with the employee Sam, he and all the coworkers thought it would be a good idea to make fun of my name saying “poor kid has it hard enough with a name like Hunter”. The only reason I know this is my roommate was in the shop getting his tire fixed and overheard them. Once Sam was confronted about what he said he tried to tell me to just take the bike and not pay for it just trying to get rid of me. This shop is unprofessional, unkind, and I wish I can give them 0 stars.

Cannot recommend at this point, but I hope I can recommend in the future.I purchased a new bike but a pedal fell off after a week. Never happened to me. I could have been injured seriously (could happen to you or your kid). I like the people, who are nice and seem knowledgeable, and would like to bump up the rating in the future, but if the shop cannot do the most basic stuff about bicycle, or not being careful in doing the most crucial/basic stuff about bicycle, I am not sure I can give more than one star at this point. They didnt sound too apologetic about what happened, which disappointed me as well.I purchased the bike to participate a bike race next weekend, but I am not sure I have my bike back in a week. I told them I want to have the bike repaired as soon as possible, and they promised me theyd contact me in the morning of Monday (I brought the bike in on Sunday), but they didnt call me or do anything on Monday... The service so far is very disappointing. So I might need to buy another bike (of course, from another shop), or rent... Basically the shop might cost me extra couple of hundred bucks for not being responsive to the trouble that they lousy maintenance caused.******* update on April 28, 2015 *******They did not call me for two days even if they promised to call me back yesterday. I called them, and found out that they did not seem to make any progress, and they tried to charge me for fixing the pedal and the crank for $200. This is ridiculous. I tried to convince them that its not my fault that this happened. They seem to be convinced for now but lets see. They also promised to fix it by Friday, but I am not sure I can trust them at this point. I started finding another bike.

Had a flat tire, they fixed it for $15. Rode my bike around all day making deliveries and right before they closed my tire was flat again. Luckily I got there before it closed and they replaced the tire again for another $15. I was hoping they wouldnt charge twice in one day for a tire change but they did which is understandable. Said there was a piece of glass in it. The same tire is now having issues, doesnt seem to want to stay inflated but doesnt completely deflate. I have a young face, Im not white, I dont look like I own multiple thousand dollar road bikes in a nice suburb of Philly (its true, I dont). When I walked in I was ignored. Several times. I was then patronised, and felt like a commodity they wanted to get out of the way. Other people got friendlier and faster service by the same people.Needless to say, I didnt spend my money here. I have since found a different bike shop; when I was there, several young kids on cool bikes went in and asked for replacement parts and they were treated with respect, just like any other customer. I have been in the shop around once every two months for the last year. I have not had a bad experience or witnessed any other customers who were treated badly. If others have had bad experiences there, I would say that those bad experiences are the exception, not the rule. I will NOT be going back to this shop. Ive been riding for a very long time and would honestly say I have ridden close to 10k miles. I have raced BMX and I even entered an X-Games comp. in the late 90s, so I think I know my way around a bike and can perform my own maintenance; except for wheel truing. So,I bring my bike here to get the wheels trued, but first I call and get a quote that my bike will be returned within 2, maybe 3 days the most. Perfect!! Right before the weekend. (Survey says: AAAAAAAAAINT- gonna happen) Well, turns out they were real busy because of a race that weekend in Manayunk, and they couldnt complete my repairs. Totally understandable; but I did not get one phone call, email, facebook post, morse coded message, telegraph, or aerial message. I guess the Goodyear blimp was covering a Golf Tourney.I get my bike back after the weekend and Ill admit, everything was fine. I was happy my wheels were tightened.Just the other day, I was riding back to Philly from Reading with 30lbs of gear on my pannier and I was about a mile or 2 from Pottstown when I caught a flat. Now, my experience dictates the necessities of a patch kit & pump, right? I of course had them handy, but Im thinking: why? How? I have double/triple thick tubes and I have two(2) anti-puncture strips in each wheel to prevent problems like these. (I know it makes the bike heavy, but Im not a Pro)Upon patching my tube, I notice I DONT have 2 anti-puncture strips in my wheel. Its been almost 3 years since my last flat (before I armored my wheels) and no one else had touched my bike. The only assumption I can make is either the mech. who was working on my bike decided my overkill methods were unnecessary and didnt put my 2nd strip back, or he forgot they went to my wheel, or he wanted them for himself. Either way, I purchased these strips for my security and comfort and I had no problems til now. I am not happy with the lack of professional courtousy and irressponsability of the mechanic (cant believe Im calling them mechanics; more like brain dead thieves) who worked on my bike.I ride a lot of bike trails throughout Philly area and beyond and touring is my new thing. I cant afford flat tires, broken chains, broken break cables, ect. Nor can I afford to rely on inept shops to perform the maintenance that I prefer to do myself, but lack the necessary tools to complete. If B.T. cares about their customers and would like to make corrections, Im the guy with the blue Haro hardtail and Ill be back for my strips, or blood!!!!!
