Parking is a bit tricky, you can park on Lake or in the lake lots across the street south of this location. There is also a small 15 minute pickup area parking in the alley and a parking structure I believeCoffee is fantastic no matter what you get and pricing structure makes it very easy to order; wish there were more locations!

Nice Coffee selection, so far we have tried three different beans... Philtered Soul, Terosa and Ambrosia Coffee of God.As we will be staying in Pasadena for another month, our aim is to try them all... about 16 different types 😀

Got my orders. Last person to leave— even though I was there before 5 other people. I was the only brown customer there. Maybe they thought I should have gone last? They laughed when I complained about it. They said it was because they accidentally switched the orders.

The nicest people work here and it’s clear that the coffee and food is very high quality. Yeah it’s more expensive than Starbucks, but who cares when the quality is 100% better!? The wait can be a bit longer than I’d like sometimes but as soon as I try my drink I don’t regret anything.My drink recommendation: iced philtered soul with medium cream and light sugar😍☕️ (Also their chocolate old fashioned donuts are to die for)🍩

Nice place, Phil chai is very good. Jalapeno bagel with cream cheese was also very good. I will go back. Highly recommend it.

I got the Ethiopian decaf roast here. What I like is you can get your drink iced, which involves rapidly cooling down the brewed hot coffee without diluting it, so you’re not drinking watered down iced coffee.The flavor profile is also well-balanced, and not overpowering. As usual, Philz has done really well

Our coffee tasted like water with milk. We couldn’t taste the coffee at all. We asked to have it remade and it still tasted terrible. I’ve always had a good experience with philz but this location never seems to make the coffee right. Waste of money unfortunately.

Philz is my favorite coffee anywhere! Expert, friendly baristas, expansive and unique coffee menu, and theyve got some bomb burritos. Im wearing my Philz shirt now, its lasted over 3 years.

I am a big Philz fan. But I particularly like this location because it doesnt look or feel like your usual Philz coffee. It has a cute vintage-y kinda feel, appropriate to the neighborhood and its nice!I love all Philz drinks, but their Chai at this location was a little off. But their Iced Mint Mojito was on point!Prices are always reasonable to the great coffee and tea you get here.Service was good.

This Pasadena location was 2 years old . Philz personalized 30 unique blends and wanted to make sure the coffee making process embodied a personal and social feel, so he designed his own coffee station allowing for every cup to be crafted one cup at a time.This location is awesome, Philz supports local artist to allow them to display their artworks in his store.. When you walk in to the store, you can smell the coffee, enjoy the varieties of the bread and loving in this artistic environment.

A nice p lace to work or study. The environment is ideal and the drinks are really good. You will find more people that are also studying or working.

Unique and creative selection of coffee! I like Philharmonic which has mint in it ☕️🌿Also I often get a bag of beans, too. A blend of the month is for $14 and it’s a great deal. Grinding beans in the morning is a great way to start my day. +1 for Tesora👍🏼

The options were healthy and different, but not as tasty.

It was organized inside with lines like a theme park. Be sure to order on the app and then get in line. The drinks were set on the table by the door. No one called us, but the app tells you who made it, how many minutes are left and when it’s done! Head in when it tells you it’s done. The coffee was good- I’m not a big coffee fan but the cold brew with creamy cream and no sugar fit my need.

Coffee always delicious but the breakfast options are lackluster, it would be an upgrade to a get a frozen jimmy dean sandwich that what we had at philz

Big location with lots of table space inside for working (and tons of people already doing so early Saturday morning!). Staff is really friendly at this location - I like it more than the downtown LA location. I really only ever get the Mint Mojito here - so good! 😋

Not for me. Coffee tasted burnt and flavor was a bit one note. They also only offer pour overs, and I like having more options. They encourage ordering by app due to CoVid and that process is easy enough, but i didn’t receive any sort of notice my drink was ready, so even if it’s a longer wait (they told me it’d be 10-15minutes even ordering by app) I would stick around so your coffee doesn’t get cold, and also cause it didn’t take quite that long.

I love the Mint Mojito so much and wish they would franchise in AZ. The wait was usually pretty long, so I’m so glad to be able to order ahead using their app now. I had to knock down a star because of their outdoors line management situation during COVID, but normally they are perfect!

They have a unique set of drinks many of which I had never heard about anywhere else. The barista in Philz made us an amazing espresso drink. The coffee shop has a cool and cozy vibe inside and is an absolutely must-go millennial place to hangout/work/study. It can be a little bit overwhelming if you have a short attention span or are working on something that needs high focus but otherwise a really nice place to spend your afternoon.

Pro Tip #1: If you like the Mint Mojito, order it easy on the mint leaves, otherwise they pack practically half the drink and you wind up with little room for left for the actual drink.Pro Tip #2: Stir up your drink before consuming as all the sugar is on the bottom or you wind up with a mouthful of way too sweet coffee at the end.I wish there was a Philz closer to where I live but I am willing to make the drive for their fabulous Mint Mojito Coffee. I used to go all the way down to the DTLA location (about a half hour drive) before they opened up this one in Old Town and it was worth it then too.The service is so nice and consistent, no matter which one you visit. My friends and I have pretty much only ordered the Mint Mojito, so I cant tell you what anything else they have tastes like.The setup to order and pay is a little weird though if you have never been to one before. You get into a line but youre not sure if its the correct line or even a line at all. A barista will call you up to ask what you want, then you shuffle on over to a different line where you repeat your order to the cashier and pay. I dont think thats the most efficient or user-friendly way to do it but thats pretty much the only complaint I have. All their locations are designed that way, which always throws me off because I dont frequent them enough to remember, then I end up trying to figure out how to order my coffee.The layout of the shop is open, clean and has plenty of seating- both indoors and out. I like the location because Ive always loved Pasadena. My husband loves their Mint Mojito as well but he finds it overpriced.

I wish my drink was sweeter but because of covis it didnt seem like they could take it back. Then, you have to download the app to make an order which is annoying. Itd be easier if they took cashless orders rather than everyone download an app.

Avocado toast wasnt as good as last time, which I had long ago - not hot enough, got much less and too cold avocado this time, spice is now tastes different, and its more expensive now. Its just not as yummy as it used to be. I dont know whether they are saving on production or something, but my experience worsened. Still better than Starbucks, right? 🤔

I wish I knew the name of the girl who helped me, but she created a secret menu coffee blend and it is AMAZING!!!! Everything was fast, and plenty of seats inside and out. Parking is free across the street.

Philz is great. The atmosphere, location and obviously coffee. The tea selection isn’t very good but everything else makes up for that. Their is convenient parking in the structure on Shoppers Lane.

Very helpful, the manager Daniel informed me about the teas which not many places would have much information about their drinks. Very kind and will definitely return. I normally get food there but today when I didn’t like the tea I had originally bought he was kind enough to remake it for me the way I liked it. Amazing!! Love how he creates a great atmosphere for his customers!!

Unique drip coffee experience. Ive been to multiple locations and they manage to create a consistent cup of coffee each time. I like the variety of coffee bean options. I also appreciate that I can customize with soy milk and honey. The mint mojito is a delicious once-in-awhlile treat. Order first and then pay after ordering your drink. The online app makes ordering ahead quick and easy.

Their Coffee is robust rich in flavor and is a pour over verses brewed like Starbucks. The customer service and atmosphere is quaint always with a smile.

These people have an amazing selection of actually distinct-tasting coffees, prepared with care. Not a lot of snacks, and the seating leaves something to be desired (unless you can get the cushioned chair by the courtyard door), but there is also a pleasant outdoor area adjacent.Update: there are now a lot more tables inside. Its almost as though they heard criticism and reacted....

Always a pleasant experience at Philz Coffee. I try to stop by when Im in the area because I love the variety they offer and how they list out all their blends by the roast type on their menu. I typically buy medium or medium-dark roast beans for home so when I come to Philz, I always try to get a lighter blend. Life is all about being adventurous!The last two times I visited, a gentleman named Daniel prepared my coffee. Hes very friendly, as are the other baristas behind the counter. I got the Dancing Water on ice and its very easy to drink if youre new to lighter roast coffee.Not much else to say except that this place serves up great coffee!

Great tasting coffee. When you choose your coffee, don’t expect to taste each flavor. It’s a blend, so it’s mild. It’s quality coffee though with amazing customer service/ a cool environment. Definitely a win in my book.

I only come here occasionally but I love their mint mojito coffee. I know it sounds like a strange combo but if you like mint, chocolate, and a sweeter coffee, give this a try! Otherwise theyve got a solid tesoro mocha, and great coffees and teas. Philz is a favorite study spot too!

This place is just a different experience than Starbucks. They have a large variety of coffees available, the vibe is different, and the menu is different. Feels like a real coffee shop! I hope they withstand the curse of Lake Avenue for a long time.

This was such a cute shop! The staff was incredibly friendly and it was a welcoming environment. They had coffee with fresh mint in it. This was some of the best coffee I have had and I highly reccomend visiting if you are ever in the area. My friends and I spent a fair amount of time in this shop.

It was perhaps circumstantial but I appreciated the pink haired barista who took his job to the next level.I wasnt even awake yet and he turned that into a gourmet experience.

A default goto coffee place for our family. We like coffee and service. Barista will let you taste the drink right there and ask if any changes need to be made or you can request a whole other drink.This place is located in the Commons area, the outdoor seating is kid friendly. My dd likes to play in that area while we enjoy our sip. I highly recommend this place.

I love the Decaf Mocha Tesora and my kid loves the Hot Chocolate. She says its the best on the go cocoa. I like that the coffee is low acid so that both my belly and brain can enjoy it. The service is good and the place is still mellow. Love it!💖

Review over due. I work close by and started to go to Philz. The Coffee is out of this world they also have an amazing mint black tea with honey that will cure any cold in a heart beat. Staff is just great.

Coffee was on point! The service was not as friendly as Im used to, but it wasnt bad service all the same. Its hidden away behind the Lemonade restaurant, in a quiet courtyard. Lovely location and good for reading, doing homework, or having a good conversation.

Enjoyed the coffee here and love the way it was made specifically for me. Always freshly brewed. Great location in the Commons on Southlake. Areas outside to enjoy your coffee or Bakery items. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their product.

Id never heard of this place before a friend took me here and said, You HAVE to have Philz. I must admit, I dont know what I expected (probably something like Starbucks, I guess). Really great place with interesting flavor combinations. One of their most popular and highly recommended drinks for a first-timer is the mint mojito coffee. A little more expensive than I was hoping, but for the quality of food and service, its worth it.

Tried the Philharmonic today and really loved it! The light cream was very good, and it had a touch of sweetness. I also really appreciated the temperature of the coffee---not burning your face off.

Baristas are friendly and super helpful, making for a typical, enjoyable Philz coffee experience! Try any of their specialty coffees for a nice treat on a hot day.Also a good place to study because they have a large table with many outlets, and the AC is usually blasting.
