This is an absolute gem of a bakery to find in Pasadena. Their selection of pastries are bountiful, and each of them look absolutely delicious in their own ways. Similar to a Hispanic bakery, you take a tray and rings and select everything you want. At the end you take it to the counter for checkout. The prices are fairly reasonable, with all items ranging from ~$2-4. I was able to get 5 scrumptious pastries for ~$15, which was a great light breakfast snack for my family. Their coffee was good, but not as hot as I would’ve liked. Seemed to just be warm, but the pastries make up for any dings that the coffee had. Fantastic place for sweet and savory pastries to interest the palate.

You’re in old town Pasadena so parking is a street or nearby garage. Bright & open interior with a decent amount of seating. This place is always pretty busy but the line seems to move fairly fast.Awesome selection of pastries, sweet and savory. Authentic flavors and good prices. The sweets case is full of tarts, cakes and other declines desserts. I’ve always left satisfied and happy!

Horrible experience and customer service! Visited on a Monday around 4:30pm. The cashier named Mario spent about 15 minutes holding the line while talking to his friends from HS (see pic below). Next, we had to wait another 15 minutes to get two sea salt coffees because there was only one barista taking care of customers orders. The manager eventually decided to come out to help with the orders and clean up the coffee station. I will never come back to this location.

Definitely a place to stop in and you gotta try something! The Bakery is awesome! I just wanna stay here all day and eat everything! Then they got all this food for breakfast and lunch that fuses traditional breakfast/lunch and then fuses them together with pastries and awesome goodness. I’ve never been but we stumbled upon this place and had to try it out and wasn’t disappointed. #hungryformore

It used to be amazing but now after covid it is not fresh anymore. No way it was baked that day. I came afternoon fot a huge purchase and it was all very dry and stale. Super disappointing. Also I asked for toro drink and the guy said they dont have it and started offering jasmine tea.... after a very confused conversation he then said they had it and I said forget about it..came home to discover it on my receipt.

I tried it last night and it was nice though we got there late and tried the cheesy breads with sausage and stuff but it was all cold and I didnt enjoy it as much. Im sure when its warm its delicious like in the morning but coming at night around 830-9 pm wasnt good. Though I really enjoyed the taro swirl bread and especially the strawberry chocolate mousse cake was my favorite. All in all I kind of enjoyed it. Plus the prices are pretty decent.

Great customer service but very limited amount of pastries unlike other local 85 degree bakeries. Im not sure if its not busy as the others so they limit the amount of pastries they make?

This the best 85° that Ive been to. I usually go in DTLA but they do not have the same pastry options or at least when Im there. Nonetheless Im happy with the new options I get to try and was very satisfied. The 85° coffee is made to perfection as usual. I also like the layout.

Consistent quality with other 85C locations. I like getting bread at 85C in general because its a quick, easy and relatively affordable breads as snacks. They have a variety of both savory and sweet bread and pastries.Their cakes are not bad as well. Well decorated and flavorful. I have tried the mango one and the chocolate bear.

Amazing bread. Nice to see all bread individually wrapped. It is rather difficult to find the hot dog bread, so I suggest coming in early or asking if they have any in the back.

My girlfriend and I absolutely LOVED this place! The cakes, pastry, and drinks are not that expensive and it was just a very clean, pleasant, relaxing, and soothing experience and way to spend the night! Ill surely be likely to revisit this place at least once a week! Highly recommend it, please take my advice!

Saved my hide. I went to another bakery not to my liking i got the tiramisu asked the cashier if it was good she said yes . I got it for my cousin ellen for her bday. The lady was sweet gave me 11 candles and a black plastic cake knife (ooooh how gothy) and a chocolate happy birthday sign. Everyone liked the tiramisu. Thank you for having someone everyone could enjoy

Always a great selection of sweet and savory pastries, cakes and coffees. Great for a quick bite or desert. Also great for take away.And they are open late too if you get a craving.

I love their bread pastries so much.... Havent gotten a chance to try their boba tea drinks but my friends love them too.

The Cheese mushroom soft bread, baked just right. Mango soft muffin, not too sweet. The Cinnamon twist was crunchy, perfection. Cheese garlic bread was not too garlicky, just delicious. This light jello fruity cup, such good choice. Sweet drink like taro smoothie, blended well. Lots of cakes. Plenty of option for a quick snack. I really enjoy this place. Well be back for some more!

The drinks and food are always good. However the service was pretty bad. I think this is the worst location by far, it was packed with only one cashier, and two people making the drinks. Waited for 35 minutes to get my 85° coffee. Thats insane.

Ive always been a fan here, however, with the increasing popularity, their customer service has gone way south. Ive always had excellent service here and recently everyone doesnt seem to care much about anything.Pastries are still decent. If this is your first time here, try their berrytale, egg tart, and the cheese bites. So good!

The staff is great and friendly. Food is always fresh and fluffy. Usually a long wait for drinks though because they usually only have one person making all of the orders.

Good selection of fresh items.They forgot to include a fork so had to eat a black forest cake with my hands so the experience wasnt as pleasant as it couldve been. Hard to enjoy the flavor when its spattered all over your face or your fingers.

Hyped up overly priced typical bakery. I ordered the mango and it doesnt even taste like mango. I also bought the guava jelly strudel. Too many people around when I went and products on shelves are poorly stocked. When I asked, I was given an excuse that there is a private party going on at the moment so they brought all their products to the event. So I need to wait at least 30 minutes. I asked around and found out that it was a media event.They are so focused on media that they forgot there are customers around too.I give this place a one star and if I wanted a guava strudel, Ill go to Portos instead, its cheaper too.

One of the best bakery in LA for me. Prices are not cheap but also not pricey. Everything including drinks tastes are so fine. My favorite is Iced sea salt caramel coffee.

I went here yesterday with my boyfriend. The location is very beautiful, way bigger than the Downtown L.A. one. I went to go pick up a Strawberry Tiramisu cake that I ordered on the phone a FULL day prior. When we were paying for our purchases I asked about the cake order I placed under my name, the cashier gave me a confused look as if he didnt know what I was talking about. The employee went to go ask around and I saw him talking to perhaps maybe his manager? Idk.They didnt have my cake ready for pick up is what Im trying to say. Luckily, I didnt wait for much longer and he gave me my cake. One detail that was missed that I specfically asked for was the cake to say Happy Birthday Dad on it 😑 They couldnt even get that right. It had no writing on it whatsoever. Im usually not one to complain but I did order the cake in advance, it wasnt ready when I got there, and it didnt have happy b-day on it is very upsetting. I just want some professionalism. Be wary when making phone orders 😒

A great place for desserts. I enjoyed the Mango Creme Brulee and iced coffee this afternoon. I would love to try more on my next visit.

Really good milk tea but when I paid for extra boba they barely put any at all. I asked to verify that they did put extra and they confirmed that the measly amount in my cup was what I paid for.

I go for thier boba milk tea and the ice coffee and especially the Apple almond custard danish its my go to pastry.

The pastries and sandwiches were beautifully displayed. They were inviting and they call your name. There were many options like mini slices of blueberry cheesecake. Delicious. Pleasant environment but whimsical music would be beneficial. Prices are great for the excellent quality of the food.

This location is currently on Soft Opening so they close at 6PM for now.I was walking to Trader Joes and happened to walk by so I decided to stop in and check it out. This location is the smallest 85C bakery Ive seen so far but they have everything you would be able to get at other locations. It looked like the staff was really keeping it clean even though everything is all new.I ordered the sea salt jasmine green tea and some breads which were all good just like at the other locations. Quality of the bread and drinks are the same so there isnt anything bad to say! Although, I believe its only street/metered parking which can be a little hard sometimes.------I went back and asked about parking. They share the same parking lot as Trader Joes right above and validate parking!Grand opening this Friday 04/12 :)

Smells weird, no ac even on hot days, delicious baked goods, weird coffee selection

Was pretty disappointed in the fruit jelly cup. Expected some sort of taste to the jello. It had no taste whatsoever other than the fruit and the milk in the bottom of the cup.

The concept was very interesting. You’re able to grab a tray and choose your pastries. Some pastries are hit and some are a miss. The pricing is very good as well. The vibe is laid back and if given the chance I would come again.

Love 85°C Bakery. The pastries are not overly sweet and in my opinion addictive. My critique of this Pasadena location is that visually it looks a little worn out compared to other 85 bakeries. Its only been open for a few years but it looks like its been open for over ten years with minimal upkeep. Otherwise you can expect the same pastries and coffee like the other 85°C bakeries.

The pastries & bread sold in this store are super delicious. Moreover you can drink some nice coffees or teas. All the prices asked are reasonable. I loved it because it reminds me the European style. Definitely will be back !

This store is nothing short of amazing honestly this is a man or a woman can treat a lady like a lady or a man like a man the food was delicious the ham and cheese bomb the only thing I can actually complain about is at the doors to get into the building or a little bit too heavy so a lot of people that I kept watching kept thinking the doors are closed other than that everything is just amazing please please please put in 85 degrees in Monrovia theres always space available on Myrtle please for the love of God put one in Monrovia would be there every weekend

I got there around 9:05pm thinking that they dont close until 10pm as stated on the door and online, but they actually closed at 9pm. The management opened up for me to grab 2 small birthday cakes for my boyfriend. Please change the closing time to reflect the actual closing time at 9pm.

Location nice...decorated nice...customer service excellent.... set up and visually stimulating item excellent. Actual taste subpar. So many items look much better than they taste.

Great Bakery to go to. Everything there is great. You will definitely find something that you like there to eat.I havent tried out their drinks so I cant give a review on that. But their bakery goods are amazing. Usually I get Butterhorns, Cheese Bread, and their Ham and Cheese.

Lovely bakery, Ive been here many times-- a couple first dates, catching up with friends, a self care date for myself. Prices are very fair, drinks and pastries are dependable-- I really like the taro buns.My only problem is that they dont have WiFi. Otherwise I would be here to get work done often.

They have amazing desserts here, their mixed berry small dessert and their cheese danish was so good! I tried the hot version of the caramel macchiato and it was so delicious, perfect amount of sweet that I wanted! Love finally having an 85 so close. The bread is always tasty and fresh. Not a big fan of the desserts, but thats just personal taste. Drinks are yum too!Get the egg tart when its fresh and hot! And always ask when the chocolate croissant came out, if they havent been out for more than an hour or two get it! Theyre so delicious. They just arent as flaky if theyve been out too long though.

One of my favorite Asian bakeries! The Boba and tees are only good versus great. Their coffee is even better though and I especially like the sea salt cream coffee. Parking is easy to find because there is a free structure right off green only a block away. Theres typically plenty of seating but it is pretty busy on the weekends.

I love the different kinds of desserts. A variety of birthday cakes are available. Good for tourist, and university trendy crowd. Locals enjoyed the experience too. The staff is efficient and courteous with customers. You can take out or enjoyed it inside the bakery premises whether alone or with family or with group of friends. The place has tables available for Handicap customers. Easy to get there by the 210, 134 or 110 fwys. The bakery is at the heart of Old town Pasadena. I recommend to try it and enjoyed your time.

What can I say about this place that hasnt been already said. Cheap Asian bread that is delicious. I suspect that they use just enough sugar to make it tasty without making it taste too sweet. I usually like the bread with the sausage inside it. Not sure what it is called. Usually very busy no matter what time you go in. They also have coffee that tastes really good, but it is too sweet for me. I believe it is called the coffee with sweet cream.

Simply the best in sweet tasting pastries and variety of drinks! If lucky enough to get some treats fresh from the oven - its like paradise! Although Ive been going to 85C over 7 years from locations in Irvine, Torrance, Glendale, etc., the sweet breads and pastries never get old.

A friend brought me some of their pastries for Christmas, and the goods were delicious. I felt I had to find a location near me in Pasadena. Happily, I found one close by!

In general, I dislike overly sweet bakery goods especially in the US. This bakery has a more asian flavor to it, and that suits me. The portions are reasonable, and the flavors dont overwhelm.Sometimes the drink orders take a while, and getting a table can be a struggle. Just like any busy joint its best to go off-peak.Theres parking across the street (I think 2 hours free). You can find some street parking, but its easier to just use the parking structure.

This place has a wide range of pastries. Most of them are cruel to an Asian style and many of them are a cross between between Asian American. the cheese hot dogs are excellent really . they are very flavorful if youre looking for something salty to eat. If youre looking for something sweet I would suggest you try the mocha bun or the the Nutella croissant. Those really appeal to sweet taste buds. 85 C is this a very affordable and the quality matches with the price of what

Ohhh 85° ... how much I will miss thee.This place has a wide variety of pastries, cakes, tortes, dessert drinks and all.And at a great price. I loved that the pastries we tried were not overly sweet and just perfectly puffed freshly baked. Some bakeries overkill desserts with sugar and 85° has it down to a science. The berry tails, the angel food cake moon pie, matcha puffs, milk buns and cookies were all great.

I wish I could give this place 0 it’s been open for like 2 years and I have gone occasionally when in the area because the Glendale and Alhambra locations are great.This location is absolutely awful. If your trying to get some stuff before work for coworkers don’t bother. They open at 7 but they don’t fill their cases until after 8 and when they do I often have found them burnt or undercooked or wrong fillings entirely. I have always tried to give this place another shot because the others are so good but I give up. This place has horrible food that’s not even ready by opening hours which seems ridiculous for a bakery and the service is awful don’t bother especially if you are in a rush.

Oh oh oh oh oh! How incredible can one cafe really be?!!! The selection of quite unique, not-too-sticky sweet breads and pastries is astounding. The flakeyness, flavor, size and price... We Jonesd here 3x in 4 days. The beverages, which is what they are known for also are quite good though each time I wanted to try x, they were out of this most popular (mango something) each time.Anyway, the breads are delectable, and the various Danish style pastries simply giftable. Guaranteed to love!

Generally Im pretty easy to please but this location had problems with the air conditioning where the side that we were sitting was so hot. My drink melted on me. Because of the echoing it was so loud. I did not have the frame of mind to eat any of the pastries. Just want to get something cold and get out. The staff are very nice and friendly. Maybe I will come back on a cooler day.

Lovely staff and a wide selection of treats ranging from savory to sweet! Wide variety of drinks like teas, coffees, smoothies and slushies. Great open space and plenty of seats. I love coming here to get homework done. Another plus side is that they have a bathroom!

This is a pretty big 85 degree establishment on the corner of Fair Oaks and Green St. Street parking is hard to find, but its very close to paid parking lots -- the one across the street is free for the first 90 minutes. We like coming here for the pastries. Sometime we get a drink and those are good, but the pastries are always fresh and they have a lot of variety. Some of them I have no idea what they are, but you can generally find something youll like here.

Large store with a nice selection of pastries, just like their other locations. This location is in the heart of Pasadena so its busy and parking is very tough to find. If you can find parking, then its a good place to grab a drink and a pastry. The bathrooms could definitely use more upkeep though.

Love their cheesecake. It somehow is like a pound cake and cheesecake mix. Not as rich or heavy as a normal cheesecake...so good!Theres is something for everyone here. So many pastries to choose from. This place got really popular, really quickly in Old Town.

Yum! If youre patient you can select from one of many fresh baked goods they replenish often. Theyre prices are rising so I may have to look else where in the near future. Also, they used to have a baked good called a snowflake that was AMAZING! And some locations, like this one, have stopped making them... this the negative star.

Stopped by early this morning (about 6:30 am) to buy goodies for the Rose Parade. Bathrooms were locked (even for paying customers). Thats illegal.I will not patronize this store again. Shame on you for doing this!

85°C Bakery is like the Asian version of Portos Bakery. It is a self served bakery where you go around and pick your own desserts.They have a great assortments of bread and pastries with some unique flavors such as taro. But my favorite is the egg tart. I can probably eat a few of those alone.They constantly bake freshly made bread. It is amusing when they yell out Fresh Bread to announce it.In addition to their pastries, they also have a great assortment of drinks such as Taro Latte and Sea Salt coffee. I have yet to try these drinks.For those individual pastries, they package them in this little box for you to take.

Great Selections for Chinese sweet bread. The store opened late. It was great late night sweet snack! They had a cakes and pastries. They had tables and customers could order coffee, smoothies, boba drinks, and any other coffee selections at register. Great bread bakery cafe!!

Although this place calls itself a bakery it is much more. The Breads and pastries here are definitely worth checking out, along with the cakes that are great for any special occasion. If youre there just for casual stop check out some of their Boba teas and sweetbreads. The service is usually friendly and the establishment is always clean which is always a plus.

This is definitely in my top 5 places to visit in Pasadena. The food is truly superb, and SO delicious, plus very affordable! The bakery is very hygienic, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only trouble is Id struggle to suggest one good thing, as everything Ive tried so far is incredible!

Theyre known for cheap but delicious pastries. I almost think of this place as an Asian equivalent to Portos. There is a ton of room and it doesnt get too busy. Drinks and cakes can found here too but I felt like they were too sweet for my taste. Definitely worth the trip though!

Their pastries is to die for, it never fails me when I go there, always fresh and ready to dig in.Let’s not forget their drinks, is always the way I want, perfect sweetness and ice level, same goes for their hot drinks. I definitely recommend it to anyone.
