I know Im passed warranty bought the engine had to store it in my house because I lost work from covid, dreamed of owning 2jzgte since I was a kid I wait tables for a living and spent my entire savings on it, dude upfront swore it was a great engine cleanest hes seen in a long time,I just got to cracking it open to take it to the machine shop, seems I am also a victim of their water logged tsunami engines, they also didnt have a battery pack to do a compression test or at least didnt want to do one till i told them to use my truck battery, well they kept my jumper cables, my advice avoid like the plague

Employees were awesome, stated they don’t compression test new motors, buy a vq, ends up having a 121psi in one cylinder and rest 175+. What a great way to spend 1300 dollars.

Fraud. No one tells the truth. All calls were recorded by my staff. These guys lied through their teeth, sent the wrong engine, lied about having it picked up, and are now subject to litigation.Put your money in a hole in the ground and youll get a better ROI

I purchased an engine from SunshineStateJDMs website. I was in contact with Adam who was able to work with me to provide compression numbers and allowed me to ask plenty of questions about the engine. He sent me a photo of the engine/wiring/ecu all wrapped up on a pallet. I got as far as scheduling the shipment when he texted me stating that the ECU and wiring harness were no longer included with the purchase contrary to what we discussed in conversation on the phone and contrary to what was in the palletized photo he sent me prior to shipping. When I asked for a reason, he basically stated that he sold the engine too cheap and listings for the engine complete with ECU/harness were $300-$400 more on Ebay. I absolutely could have thrown more money at this purchase but was no longer willing to purchase from a company with such poor business practices. Looking at some of the google reviews, it appears that others have had some lackluster experiences as well. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.Response to seller:To be clear, I’m not angry, just disappointed with my experience. The fact is, I confirmed over the phone that the ECU/harness was included and it was provided in all of the photos leading up to shipping. I was also not offered the ECU and harness at an additional cost, he just stated that it was not going to be sent with the engine. Regardless, it sounds like a mistake was made on your side and hopefully this feedback helps your business operate better in the future.

Got two defective engines, was told to ship them back for a full refund. So I did at my own cost, and they never issued me a refund. Had to take them to collections to get my money. Do not buy from this company.......One leaked oil out of head gasket while running, second was blown up and couldnt even get to start. You can make up excuses all you want.. Sold to me, shipped to a shop, I have over 20 yrs experience so I think I would know if one was good or junk.If you are a good company, and got both engines back with no issues,. Why was I not refunded my money months ago. SHOP ELSEWHERE....

Lies. Sent the wrong engine. Lied about it. Lied about a refund/picking it up. We have the calls on recording. We have filed BBB complaint, and sent the debt to collections.

I ordered an engine for an 08 scion tc was sent one with a broken rod. They shipped a replacement butbit was a camry engine and i had to pay to get a bunch or parts swapped from one engine to another. They didnt even know if it would work for me which it didnt. It ran but for some reason not properly and put a rod through the block. They said they would ship a replacement but i had to pay for shipping. So now i am being forced to pay out for another engine even though they sent one that they were not even sure it would work and it didnt qork properly because if it did it wouldnt have put a rod through the block. I wouldnt have accepted the engine if i would have known it was a camry and needed alot of labor to even make it fit my car. They never told me until we called about it being different.

I kept my sons Subaru Forester when he passed away 29 months ago. Well I overheated it and the engine was junk. A friend told us about JDM in Orlando. After 1 call we had arrangements to go there the next day. The guys were so friendly. They gave us a choice of 5 engines to choose from. All their engines are low mileage. My SUV had 194,000 miles. The engine we chose has 68,083 miles. If you need an engine give them a call. I love my Subi ❤

They worked with me to get a very fair price for the items shipped which I really appreciate. Would highly recommend and will continue to do business with them in the future!

Bought a motor from them that had been submerged in water and mud from what I can tell, took exhaust off and found leaves shoved in the pistons, Mold under the valve cover. Still have receipt, still waiting for a response from owner.

I recently purchased a motor and transmission from them. I could not ask for better customer service. They loaded both of them for me. They also allowed me to exchange the transmission due to getting the wrong one which was my fault. I have installed both motor and transmission and they work flawlessly now for a week. When I flushed the transmission I was so impressed with the color of the fluid and the filter that I probably didn’t have to change it but I did anyway.

Everytime I needed a part they always had it ! Not to mention the price is always very affordable. Customer service I would give a 10/10. I highly recommend them to any of my jdm buddies

My brother saved up his savings for a year bought an engine from them, he lost his serving job in march, he was going to rebuild the engine but when he opened it, it had water damage and was rusted, read the other reviews they are selling people water damaged Tsunami engines, please dont trust them with your moneyThe owner even responded to my brother online and said they would give a refund for his $3,200 after he posted pictures of the inside of the engine, now they refuse to refund, screen shot for proof

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I drove 3 hours just to visit this location. Mind you, there is another place maybe 45 minutes from me. But the customer service with this place is through the roof. They didn’t hound me when I was deciding to make a decision. They were super helpful and shared a few laughs. I must’ve spent over an hour just hanging with the guys and ended up buying a RHD clip with ITR backseats and a ITR cluster. All of which was in amazing condition. I will definitely be going back for sure! Only bad thing I have to say is that they aren’t local to me lol. Thanks again guys!!!!!

I suggest to anyone looking for a transmission or motor look elswhere this business sells very poor quality items. What is the competive advantage from buying from them you think you will receive a quality item that they state has been tested I think this is just a flat out lie. I bought a transmission and it turns out it did not work it did not even go past first gear and had low pressure, and the business tells me well its a used item so why dont I just go to the junkyard and buy from them they have cheaper prices and your taking the same risk. They ended up refunding my money but let me keep the transmission which speaks volumes it admits that there items are of poor quality because if that was not the case they would have stated we must examine it there is no way that it could not work they displayed little to no confidence in their product. I got stuck with labor costs for an item that did not function it looked worse than the transmission that was already in the car and was bad. They paint the picture that they are selling you a quality item but when you receive it it falls way below those standards the junkyard does a better job and at least is honest and upfront with you. I bought many items from Ebay sellers before and this by far was the worst experience. I hope no one else falls victim to this business poor ethics and does not engage in bad business practices with them.

Just completely garbage engines not compression tested or checked when received.... I purchased an 2jz non turbo promised at 60k miles... Worst part is i purchased this engine as a project and was not aware the engine was seized and they did not check or showed no concern of how to do business.... Beware check engine before purchase...
