This place is tied for the freshest bagels around. Check out the bialy selection which rocks. The deli counter is full of the classics any Jewish mother would love ( relax, I’m part of the tribe myself) Smoked fishes, spreads. My favorite is the chive cream cheese. Beverages include tea, coffee and more. Good to see a neighborhood store be so good. The staff rocks! Stay safe everyone! Treat your mind kindly. Peace!

Great bagels! Happy hour is a great deal

I live in McHenry County, but had to go to Buffalo Grove yesterday, I had been wanting good Jewish bagels and corned beef for awhile and I didn’t want to drive all the way to Skokie. I found the Upper Crust through Google and the reviews were great, so I went. I ordered 2 dozen bagels, cream cheese, 1/2 loaf of bread and a corned beef sandwich. The gentleman asked if I wanted mustard or Mayo, I told him “NO mustard, Mayo is great, and lettuce, tomato, onion, whatever veggies they put on is good. After driving a bit, I couldn’t wait any longer, opened my sandwich and the ONLY condiment on it was mustard! Yuck! I got up this morning and was going to toast some bread! It’s moldy! They obviously don’t monitor their inventory. I won’t be back!

I’m a transplant from NYC and I’ve been to every bagelry in Chicagoland, trying to find bagels that feel like New York bagels. This is the closest thing I’ve found. These bagels help me avoid feeling homesick

Lived in New Jersey for 5 years so its always good to find a tasty, soft, chewy bagel around the area.

The bagel sandwich now comes with so little cream cheese that you can hardly call it a bagel with cream cheese. And the topper this morning was I bought and paid for 2 sandwiches and only got 1. Unfortunately I didnt discover that until I was 45 miles away. I will be finding a new bagel place.

Great restaurant with great food and service. I really like the bagel’s sandwiches as well as the smocked salmon. They always cook fresh and had made in front of you. One of the best places around for sure.

Great place for a bagel and cream cheese. Never had a bad meal here. But what is great about this place is their smoked fish. You won’t find such a good selection of smoked fish anywhere else around .

This is the best place to get your bagels. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of bagels to choose from, as well as fish, and delicious bagel chips (chips made from yesterdays bagels, dried, and seasoned) YUMM!!! The prices are cut in half after 5pm. So you can get a dozen bagels for under $5! Great place overall!
