Absolutely the best bagels but the owners are first class and work hard to make their clients happy!Store is clean. Even the restroom is immaculate. Bagels are tasty and owners are first class.

I love this place and was a regular customer. The proprietors are very nice people and run an efficient business. However, they refuse to enforce the mask mandate. Twice now I have witnessed maskless people come in and no one says a word to them and they are still served. They say that people ignore their signs and threaten to take their business elsewhere if they have to wear a mask according to one of the proprietors. Well, I care about children who are not vaccinated yet, the immunocompromised, and my community and I will vote with my feet and take my business elsewhere until were out of this pandemic.

Such nice owners! Its our favorite neighborhood spot for bagels and breakfast ! They also have great muffin selections, especially the mini muffins my toddler loves them. Always kept clean and very quick good service. Their Iced blended beverages also very good. 20 years in the business so you know they do things right!

Yes! The ONLY remaining bagel shop around! Blueberry and chocolate chip are my favs! Like old school type of bagels, none of that frozen fast food rubber breads. Its a classic and requisite stop with my mom when we get to work out in that area together. The only wish is that it were nearer to to where I live.Keeping the tradition of fresh, satisfying and comforting old-school bagels alive and well.💜💙🌍☕ 💚❤

I have been coming up to Northbrook for a year building a home. I dont know what I would do without big Apple bagels. The owner and his wife are some of the nicest people I have ever met. I walk in they know exactly what I want and its always fresh plus they always give you a little muffin on the side. I wont ever come back here to build a home but anytime I am close I will stop in period it was that great of an experience. Their bagel and lox were unbelievable.

I frequently get coffee and bagels from here and LOVE everything they sell but today they went above and beyond and gave me a surprise mini-muffin with my order. It really made my day and would never expect it again, but the tiny gesture meant a lot to me! Youre guys are the best!!!!

I have owned a business in the area for over 5 years and never walked in until maybe 6 months ago. I have discovered that the staff is always so nice and friendly that it is always a pleasure to walk in. They greet you like you are an old friend. Their lox is also surprisingly excellent! Today for the first time ever they forgot to put it on my sandwich. I called and they apologized and said breakfast is on them one day next week. Overall it is unlike any other Big Apple Bagels I have ever been to as most do not even offer lox and they are certainly not nearly as pleasant. I hope they continue to do well there for a very very long time.

Absolutely do not recommend!! Please go somewhere else! Dirty, horrible customer service (my biggest concern), and terrible bagel. Just down the street, there is another bagel place. I would rather die than go there again... I do have a strong dislike for the Northbrook Big Apple Bagels, and I just want to make sure other customers will not have the same experience that I had.

I regret to say that the bagels and spreads are sub-par. Not terrible, but enough to make you demand, you call these bagels? If my 3-star rating is at all harsh, it is more reflective of the chain as a whole than for this location specifically. To be fair, this location is not as bad as the (former) Plaza del Prado location, which unsurprisingly closed down years ago. I remember the food from that former location did not quite agree with my digestive system. Maybe the bagels were too starchy, or they used too much garlic or oil, or the cream cheese was no good. This Big Apple location is not even that bad, but Einsteins is way better.

Bait and Switch, I preordered Bagels and Lox and was quoted $39.00. I went to pick up my order, and I was charged $48.00 The excuse is that they estimated two servings per person. I normally would have had a fit and made a scene. But, its the holiday season and just cursed in the car on my way to work. What a bait and Switch! It will be a long time before I go back there!
