Local business with well supervised techs. I’ve been coming here forever 20 years for my work fleet vehicle and my personal cars… best oil change in town.

If I could give this business less than 1 star I would. Several times my son took my car to this shop because his brakes were unsafe. The issue never seemed to be resolved after almost $2000 in total repairs. With our last brake issue we discovered the part had never been replaced but they charged us as if it had ….over $600! Even though this one issue has been resolved it made me want to check every item they had claimed to repair. Even though they would not take accountability they did refund this only with the help of the BBB.I feel they prey upon young students that have no knowledge of cars. My son’s safety is more important to me than anything. I do not appreciate this business putting a life at risk. All I can say is BUYER BEWARE!

Great place to stop in get an oil change, then inspection. I own three vehicles and have the oil change and inspections done each year. Been going back 4 years now.

I give this shop a 11/10. The receptionist is lovely and so helpful, and the mechanics went above and beyond. I came in for an oil change and they vacuumed out my interior and topped off the fluids with no added cost. A mechanic even showed me how overdue for a replacement my air filter was. Really reasonable prices too! They extended the life of my old station wagon a few years.

Very fast and professional and reasonably priced

Was there for vacuums and car wash. Unfortunately, very often, not all the vacuums are working. However, Im still grateful that they have them. I see them frequently fixing them

Had my vehicle inspected here. They didnt fail me on anything unnecessary and the quoted prices for parts and labor were surprisingly competitive. I did the work myself but they are a good value.

Four inspection stickers, four years in a row they seem to always find a bulb that needs to be changed. This year, before I went in for the inspection I thoroughly inspected all the lighting on the exterior of my vehicle and lo and behold during the inspection they found a bulb that needed to be changed. I paid for it, I mentioned something and vowed never to return again. I smell a rat.

I appreciate how the technician will sit down and go over their recommendations on my cars needs without ever being pushy about it. Youre going to pay just a little bit more than, say, Jiffy Lube, but with Prolube Auto Center its always, always worth it.

Had car inspection on 9/2. After inspection I came straight home and my passenger door handle was broken. I called the PTO lube owner and he said they did not do it. Then he told me my 2011 car was old and I should expect these things to happen! He was rude and I wont recommend him or pro lube again

They were fast and quick

A few days ago, all the warning lights on my dash came on at once. I took my car in here, and they diagnosed it as having an issue with the Inverter Cooling Pump. They made sure that I checked to see if there was a recall out on the vehicle to see if I could get it fixed for free at the dealership (there had been, but the previous owner had taken care of it already).They checked the pump and couldnt find anything wrong with it at the moment, so they suggested that it may have just been a fluke, but to call them if the warning lights come on again.I fully expected to pay the $95 diagnostic fee for the work they had done figuring out the issue and checking to make sure it was working at the moment. They spent about an hour and a half looking at it, all told. Nevertheless, since they hadnt found anything wrong in the end (despite the code) and didnt fix anything, they waived the diagnostic charge, and I didnt have to pay anything. This means a lot!The whole time, they were very good about communicating to me the issue they had found and checking to see whether I had contacted the dealership. I really appreciate the generosity shown in checking for issues without charging, especially given the time they spent on it. I will definitely plan on bringing my car back here in the future if this or some other issue comes up again. I really appreciate the respect and generosity I was shown today.

Do not go here unless you have a lot of money or a fancy car. They gave my car a rejection sticker for safety and DIDNT EVEN TELL US! I was pulled over by the police, who told me the wheels could fall off and I could be hurt! My regular shop totally disagreed with their findings. Never Never Never go there!!!!!!!

Not just for oil changes and inspections, though I go there for those too. They are great at diagnosis - today they found a broken wire to the electronic fuel pump on my Volvo. They are honest about whether your car is worth putting more money into, and for cars in bad shape John will help you prioritize what needs to be done first. Friendly and fast.

20 years customer. Yesterday I went in for an oil change and asked them to add air to my very very slow leaking tire, which Ive learned from 2 prior experiences sets the tire pressure light off at just 29 lbs. When I got the car back, I drove into town, the light was still on, checked pressure .. still 29 lbs (others 30 to 31). I went back, asked them to add air, 3 techs and Andy told me there was no way 29 lbs was a problem, and to go on my way and the light would go off. I tried to explain and got an eye roll from Andy. Next day after highway drive to my own town, light still on. Added air to 30.5, light went off. Looked online at honda owners forum, others stating 28 to 29 lbs pressure turned on light. Called Andy to let him know so the next time a Honda owner asked for air, they could just get it. He was rude and dismissive as if I was making it up, I suggested he could verify online, he said he had better things to do with his time. End of 20 year relationship with this business.

About 1000 miles after I got my oil and oil filter changed at prolube, the check engine light went on in my car. I didn’t figure there was a connection, so I went to the firestone closest to my work in CT to have it looked at. They informed me that the oil pressure was off because of either how the filter was put on or the wrong filter was used. After having paid prolube, I had to pay Firestone to fix what they had done. When I called prolube, John on the phone was immediately defensive and started scolding me for not bringing my car to them and not having brought it in sooner (I brought it to Firestone the morning after the check engine light went on). He had made the assumption I had been driving with it on since the oil change. He called the Enfield Firestone to talk with the staff, and then called me back. He said he wasn’t “in the mood to give a refund,” and that “if you want customer service or something, I can give you a coupon for 1/2 off your next oil change.” I was offended by that, as I would still be paying for a service that cost me an additional $175 to have assessed and fixed. I’ve had my car serviced at prolube since I moved here two years ago, and I’m not going back after the treatment both me and my car received. It was every bad trope about men talking down to women about their cars rolled into one. I might not know much about the inner workings of my car, dude, but I do take care of it.

2 days ago I was driving to work with a busted windshield wiper, it was flopping all over while I was on the highway. I needed to be at work at 8:30 but it was too dangerous to drive. While driving I called prolube the minute they opened at 8 and I was back on the road to work at 8:11. I wasnt even late to work. Very impressed!!

I take all my company cars here for Green Earth Computers. Before that I always took my familys cars there also.They have reasonable prices, they explain their reasoning and process. Never been disappointed.

I never fully trusted what Andy, one of the service managers, told me when explIning my car issues and service needs, but because of the convenience and speed of Prolube, I looked the other way. Today though he lied plainly about what we heard together on my test drive (or conveniently “forgot”) and when I tried to come to an understanding, he told me I should not come back. He also added ”I’m done talking to you.” So I’m sorry to say I can’t bring myself to return there. If someone this central to the business thinks it’s ok to lie and treat a customer like that, it makes me wonder about the other times I’ve trusted them blindly and also how they might privately view customers...even 10+ year ones like me. Unfortunate. But sometimes convenience can be blinding to other issues.

Honest service at a decent price...my dealership tried to charge me $300 for a transmission flush prolube took one look at my car told me that I couldnt flush the transmission did a complete fluid exchange for $90. Thats the type of honesty I appreciate.

I went to get an inspection and was told that I needed to replace the light shield and some bulbs on the back of the car’s brake light system (the main lights work just a few side bulbs are burnt out and the shield has a crack in it). The quote I got to replace everything was $184 (!!!). I said I’d do the repairs myself and would take the rejection sticker. The inspector refused to give me a rejection sticker and told me I can’t drive on one. When I insisted that I’d ever heard of someone not being issued a rejection sticker and told him I legally had 60 days to fix the problem, he told me I’d been misinformed. I asked what was he going to give me- he said I could leave the inspection site and be on my way. I’m totally baffled and don’t recommend this place- wasted my time (and theirs) and tried to upsell some easy fixes.

Honestly, this place is the best. They saved me over $200 on something other garages were jerking me around on. Don’t go to Auto Express DON’T go to Firestone, just go to Prolube and be worry free.

Professional.I am not a knowledgeable person about cars. So, I take mine in, knowing that it needs an oil change, but also that it was running funny. An oil change and 90$ diagnostic test is all I requested. After the oil change Pro Lube found the car ran great, and the old oil was likely the culprit. They could have done the diagnostic test and charged me for it, but they chose not to.58$ may be a slightly pricey oil change, but you cant always buy integrity.

Very honest people there

Failed vehicle inspection then tried to sell me on repair services. Prolube response was I dont know, something feels loose, I think it may be a loose ball joint. I asked the rep to show me what was loose and his response was, quote, I dont have to show you anything. Wow, great customer service!To top it off, the inspector left the hood open which nearly smashed my windshield as soon as I merged on the highway.I had a similar fail inspection/sell service experience when I brought my wifes car a few months back.Rude, unprofessional, unethical and incompetent. Would NOT recommend and would never let these monkeys touch one of my vehicles again.

I was sitting there and I saw this also in many clients no one complains but their faces said everything, they know that but pre lube a dissatisfied customer are many customers less. they are extremely rude they get upset if you ask them because they are charging you for an additional charge they charged me what they said they needed my damaged bus and they broke me where the piece was supposedly arranged and I claimed and they told me that I had to pay

Instead of an hour wait down the way at the crappy jiffy lube I went here in and out quickly very friendly. Very happy customer.

Good service for oil change and inspection.

The past several years my husband has sworn by Pro Lube, until the last two years that is when they have failed me for inspection for the same 800 plus dollar job, claiming my car failed for emissions because the pipe that contains the catalytic converter was broken beyond repair and we need a new one. We had them fix it. During the repair they put the clamp on upside down, giving my car no more than an inch of clearance, in winter, needless to say I was concerned by how much I bottomed out, finally my concerns reached my husband who fixed the clamp, but the damage was apparently already done because when we returned to Pro Lube I failed for cracks in the pipe, when told that the cracks were in fact their fault they refused to fix the problems and even suggested the same replacement part. They are either really stupid or think that we are! They also have a rather obnoxious sign above the register that says, We dont bring eggs to your restaurant, dont bring parts to our auto shop Yet the price for their parts seems so much more expensive that the part I could obtain on my own. My husband while fixing my car from its latest fail has also noticed that the pipe they replaced last year does not fit thus causing the leak that they found. Needless to say we will be finding ourselves another mechanic, and all of my friends, family and any strangers I meet will be warned against Pro Lubes wicked ways.
