From the initial call through to final installation, Floor De Lis Flooring was excellent. The quality of the work and the constant communication was excellent. In the future, when I need more flooring work, I will give Floor De Lis Flooring call. This is definitely a company I would recommend to family and friends for any flooring needs.

I googled a few flooring stores in the New Orleans area and got several estimates. I live out of town and have condo on Canal Street so I needed someone I could trust while I was out of town. I got a few estimates. Floor de Lis wasn’t the cheapest but everyone was in the same ballpark. I felt more comfortable with them and after completing the project I definitely made the right choice. They coordinated well with the building management and sent me updates. They re tiled my kitchen and bathrooms and new wood throughout. Floor de Lis was a good company to work with. A friend of mine used them and referred them to me. A representative came to measure and give me an estimate the day I called. I went to the store that Saturday and picked out my flooring and had my floors installed the following week! The installers good polite and professional. And they cleaned up well after. I definitely recommend using them.

Awesome job!!! We got a total master bathroom make over! Floor de Lis helped me pick everything out and offered turn key service. They actually finished a lot fast than expected...8 days so I wasn’t without my bathroom too long. I liked working with them.

I found nice vinyl flooring here and special ordered it. I got it in less than a week and picked up from their warehouse in Mid City... next to American Can company. Real easy to deal with and nice people.

I am so thrilled with my newly refinished wood floors (that were previously a disaster!) and elated with my sleek, grey tile kitchen floor. The team was efficient and Mark and Elaine ensured that my job was going to get done as quickly as possible, given the very tight time frame I provided.My only disappointment was working with some of the guys that were actually bought out on the job. I am not currently living in my house, hence the work and floors being done while I am living elsewhere. I was disappointed that when arrival times were given, they were late and when no arrival times were given I receive a call at 8:15 AM on a Saturday morning and receive an attitude from a guy who is at the house, while I am not. YET I was given no warning regarding his arrival.The guys work very hard and are explanatory about the process. Just make sure youre there when they need you!

Installation team was very professional and did a great job.

Set a delivery date, at the last minute they wanted to change it. I had to beg to convince them to install carpet on the scheduled delivery date. They arrived, did not have the correct amount of carpet, they left, deciding they couldnt complete the job which would have left us unable to use our master bedroom, but they then decided to come back and install the carpet that they did have (thank god). It then took another two weeks before they came back to finish the job. They gave no explanation, no apology, no discount, what they did give us was a LARGER bill. They called to collect the remaining balance and stated that the original quote was inaccurate and they forgot to charge for demo and haul away. I would not recommend doing business with this company. Buying a new home is an exciting and happy experience, decorating your new home should be a pleasure! Floordelis insured that it was a complicated uncomfortable nightmare!

Do Not Work Floor De Lis or Mark Hughes.This is not a professional flooring company, stay away. We hired them to refinish the wood floors in my house, a service that they stated they could provide and were qualified to perform. They and their installer came to the house multiple times when working on their bid and were fully aware of the existing conditions of the floor. Their first attempt to fix our floors failed due to the polyurethane pealing and was worse off then before they started their work. They also got polyurethane and stain all over the base boards and had to be convinced that it was their responsibility to protect the surfaces adjacent to the floor that they were working on and that they had to fix the damage that they had done due to their unprofessional workmanship. The work took 3 days longer than they said it would due to their professionalism, lack of effort and a worker walking over the still drying floors with dirty shoes. He dragged which debris over the entire floor requiring them to rescreen and install the poly all over again to which they offered not discount or apology for the additional time that we were not able to occupy the first floor of our house.They then came out a second time to redo the work and I didn’t this it would be possible but the work was even worse this time. This is not to mention that they were impossible to reach, Mark the Owner does not even have a working voicemail when you call his cell phone. They were late showing up, didn’t show up one day and needed 2 extra days to finish the work from what had been discus, confirmed and reconfirmed. This time the polyurethane which was to have a matte finish was pooling, with irregular finish that is matte in some locations and high gloss in others and again peeling up. We requested our money back and they stated in no uncertain terms that we would never see our money again and that they took no responsibility for the finish condition of the floor.After going back and forth with this snake I finally came to an agreement with Mark for him to pay us 750 dollars and we would go our separate ways, this was an amount that is less that ¼ of what we gave them to fix our floors. After an agreement was reached Mark texted me and requested to change the terms asking me to remove our Yelp review without further competition. To which I responded that we had an agreement that this was not a part of and that would require him in increase his payment to us. He responded that 750 was his number and he would require me to also send him an email stating that we would not post negative reviews elsewhere. These terms were not acceptable.Mark Hughes and Floor De Lis are unprofessional, unqualified, not respectful the agreed upon schedule, didn’t stand by their work and reneged on our verbal agreement, instead of honoring it, trying to modify the terms to be more favorable for himself without offering any value to us. A quick search revealed a lawsuit against Floor De Lis LLC for installing in a defective manner, The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-07478. They were accused of “breach of warranty through failing to complete the work in a sufficient manner, failing to properly train and supervise the employees and failing to ensure that the work was completed in a proper manner.” This sounds very familiar, don’t let it happen to you too.Do Not Work with Floor De Lis or Mark Hughes.

Im an installer and get all my materials from Floor de Lis. Theyre warehouse in Mid City is easy for me to get to and close to all the jobs I work on. They have everything I am looking for and if they dont, they can find it. Ive been using them for a few years now and really like their service.Carlos

Floor de Lis was wonderful to deal with. We just built a house in Lakeview and they did all of the hardwood, tile, and carpet. I love the Santos Mahogany wood we selected. The installers were very nice, professional and easy to deal with. I definitely had a great experience and would recommend them to anyone.

Duke Builders has used Floor de Lis on several of our new construction and remodel projects. I like using them because they are a full service company, once I order the material, Im hands off. They take care of all deliveries, prep, installation, and cleaning. My customers are always satisfied with the installers.

We paid over $6,000 dollars for his team to destroy our floors . We have a home on Esplanade. Some of the wood flooring was original to the house and some was new to the house. This company did a poor job in each of the rooms but the original floors are more forgiving so when we dealt with their poor workmanship we tried to focus what was obviously incorrect, After applying the polyurethane the first time one of the workers walked around the floors with white paint on the not yet dry floors. The next day they came in and sloppily tried to spot treat and put another layer of Poly. On this second occasion the workers got a huge amount of poly on baseboards and up on a brick fireplace. They did not use painters tape After this point the floors began peeling up and spots of Poly actually bubbled up. They agreed that the work was not right but blamed the weather. They said that the cold weather was not allowing it to dry correctly. Every occasion they managed to stay on the job two or three days after the job was scheduled to be completed. Their team has a habit of working for an hour and leaving without communicating. When they gave us the new schedule I said This is impossible for them accomplish in three days My husband called Fili who assured us that was all . After the first day, the Poly was not evenly spread and had actually formed pools of warped poly. The team was suppose arrive at 8 the next day but Never showed up. Fill had no idea where they were and Mark ignored our phone calls. There were actually new problems.For the third time, they left our floors with pools of poly and layers of peeling. Mark the owner blamed everyone but his team for the problem. He blamed the company that made the Poly. But at no time did he take responsibility for their poor communication, poor scheduling and poor workmanship. At this point we wanted our money back for the floors for those two rooms, We still have to get them done. We didnt even go after the $6,000 we paid for their poor work. He said That will not happen I said Ok well then you are content with stealing from us. We paid you to do a job. You did not do it. You are keeping the money. That is theft. At this point I made a comment about having to hire people to be out there since we both work and Fili angrily piped in being disrespectful about our outdoor cameras saying we didnt need to hire anyone cause my husband had cameras all over the place. I responded saying it my husband prerogative to have cameras outside our home. At this point we were extremely frustrated with Mark the owner who straight up acted like he was doing us a favor by even talking with us about it how he messed up our floors and TOOK our money. He said he could not give us any money but he would contact the poly company. My husband had already contacted the rep who verbalized it was not the product but how it was applied. As he left our home he only acknowledged my husband and not me, after all I am a woman. Now a month later he offered us $500 dollars after the Poly company came back with him being responsible and not the product. My husband said he countered mark and asked for $1000. $500 does not even cover the people we had to hire to be there while they worked . The total poor job was $6,000 for all our floors. Mark responded with a $750 offer requesting I take my review off YELP . I told my husband sure, whatever at least its something. When my husband called today he said the $750 now had stipulations. The new stipulations were that I could not review his company or him on any other site. I wasnt planning on it but after my husband and I felt so disrespected by Mark, Fili and their company as a whole we told them to keep their $750. Our floors are still messed up. I have a years worth of photo proof of their poor work. I would not recommend ever working with Mark. They are professional criminals but unprofessional in flooring.

Floor de Lis just did a backsplash in my house. They had a great selection. It made my entire kitchen look so much better! The crew was easy to work with and were very helpful with my decision.

I just built a house in Lakeview and used Floor de Lis for everthing!!! Elaine and Mark were very helpful in helping me pick out everything because I am the most indecisive person in the world. We did wood throughout our home, carpet in the bedrooms and tile in the bathrooms and laundry. I love it all!!!!!! Jose and Rafael are the best installers...so polite and helpful. They were always on time. I definitely recommend using Floor de Lis. Cant wait to have my first house warming party!!!!!!!!!!!
