A heads up to anyone not from NC.When you pay for tax, title, tag...you will still get a bill when you get your tag!!! WTH?!I have only purchased vehicles in New York state, the dealer registers the vehicle and you do not receive a (hundreds of dollars)bill until its time for registration renewal.If the car is awesome and the service department is transparent and competent, life will be good!

I purchased my 2020 Rav4 there. The salesman Bruce was very helpful and I appreciate that fact that he and the loan manager stayed past closing to close my deal. I work and live in Beaufort so I did not get there until 6 and they close at 7. I love everything about my new car.

I went to get my Camry serviced and the customer service was great! I cant remember my service advisors name but He was welcoming, (told me I could help myself to some coffee) respectful and woke it was a 7:30 appointment😊 They completed my 45 K service and a State Inspection. Keep up the good work, I was only there about 40 minutes!

TLDR: the service department in this dealership recommends unnecessary work and charges more than they should in my opinion.I am unhappy with the service department of this Toyota dealership. I brought in my Prius v because it seemed to have an electrical problem. I called ahead of time and scheduled an appointment and the person I talked to said that I could use a loaner car.When I got there, there was no loaner car available and later someone explained to me that they dont reserve it ahead of time. I didnt plan on taking the whole morning off of work so I would have preferred if they had told me that it was only a possibility of getting a loaner car.The problem with my car ended up being the 12 volt battery needed replacing. So I ended up paying $418 for the battery to be replaced. The estimate that they gave me included $115 for diagnosing the problem, $266 for the battery, and almost $500 worth of services that had nothing to do with the battery (that they recommended without knowing any work that has been done on my car).I had them replace the battery only, but as I was leaving I realized that they charged me more than the estimate. When I brought it to their attention they did refund me $35 because they overcharged me for labor for installing the battery. They did also give me a $25 discount which I am not sure if it was for not having a loaner car or if they could just see how shocked I was by the price.I knew that the 12 volt batteries in a Prius are more expensive. But I did some research after the fact and while they did charge me the correct price for the battery and for the labor to install the battery (in the end), the $115 to diagnose the problem seems incredibly high. The dealership charges $120 an hour for labor so did it take them almost an hour to figure out that the battery needed replacing?All the people that I interacted with from the service department were perfectly pleasant and answered all my questions. I dont think that any of them did anything wrong other than follow the policy of this dealership to have people pay as much as possible.When I got my first car, I was taught the car dealerships might be more expensive than other mechanics but that they were trustworthy and would not try to get you to do work that was unnecessary. If you dont know a good private mechanic, go to a dealership. Not anymore. I love my Toyota but after my experience buying it at the Jacksonville dealership and todays experience, I will avoid Toyota dealerships at all costs.

Marcus was outstanding today. He really put forth great effort to make sure I got something that wanted with the package I wanted. He was very detail oriented and made sure I didn’t leave the dealership with any questions. The finance guys were outstanding and went above and beyond with helping me. Scott Tusing always has an attitude every time I have scheduled a service online. Numerous people I know that also go to Toyota of New Bern have had problems with this guy as well. Very unprofessional with poor customer service to say the least. I will not be back at this dealer for any services as long as hes there. Everyone else there has been more than helpful, with the exception of Scott Tusing.

Wont be returning to this Toyota dealership for service. I went in for a warranty issue. I believe my needle bearing is causing cyclical vibrations on the front drivers side of the vehicle at certain speeds. I have researched the issue extensively, and have had the same issue on a previous Toyota (Tacoma). I even brought in the Toyota issued tech guide to diagnosing and repairing the known problem.The tech was very condescending and would not take my concerns seriously. Blamed the entire issue on off-road tires, but seemingly acknowledged that the issue is localized to the front left. For context, I have BFG KO2s. My entire family runs these tires, 5 sets on 5 Toyotas, and I have ran these tires for years. I know what road vibration and noise comes with running these tires. When I pointed out that it has done this through multiple tire rotations he did not respond. I brought up multiple similar points but they would only get a response if he thought he could fit it to his narrative that it was the tires. Never offered to do a tech ride along or address the issue further. Its the tires, accept that answer and kick rocks.I have the part on order to fix it myself and will not be coming back.

I had a Toyota Solara that stopped cranking up one day. I had another shop look at it and said it needed a computer. I took it to Toyota and the found it just was a bad key switch. Super clean facility.

Brought my car to Toyota last week for my annual inspection, routine maintenance, and new tires. TJ Thompson was absolutely fantastic!! He got me in and out in under 1.5 hours, found me the best deal for the tires I need. He was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to meet my needs.This morning I ran over a screw on my way into work.o called TJ and he said to bring it back, they would repair or replace the tire at zero cost to me. I brought it in, and they took me right back. Hands down the BEST customer service Ive ever had. Im a Toyota customer for life!!

Service advisor Amber is.a gem. I had an appointment and she greeted me and wrote up my work order. She explained what would happen, how long it would take. The work was finished on time, she explained what was done and how much it would cost. Very smooth and organized.

Buyer beware. My husband spent 4 hours in the car today to come home without my new sienna. He spent a week working out what he thought was a solid deal. They lied. We were told the car would have the Toyota entertainment system ($1400) and instead they installed some janky $330 system and play it off. What a complete waste of time!! Super shady business.

My wife has been hunting a pre-owned RAV4 for months and she finally found one she liked at Toyota of New Bern (online).We called the dealership and were pleasantly surprised to speak with an actual person on the first ring (I hate few things more than spending eternity hearing a pre-recorded message about what you can do on a company’s website... In the year 2021, we all know what a website is. We called because we want to speak with a person).Rant aside... Talisha, the lady who answered our call, was wonderful. She found the vehicle right away and set us up an appointment.When we arrived, we spoke with Bruce. Bruce was fantastic. We told him what we wanted and he helped us with exactly that. There was no pressure to buy and he was straight forward about everything. Plus, he is great to talk to during the “waiting periods” while they got the paperwork in order.All around great experience.

I bought a 2011 Avalon from Bruce three years ago. It had 98,000 miles on it then, 138,000 miles on it now with the tires that came with it. I replaced the battery, thats it. Bruce is a great guy. Ask for him. I live in Tallahassee, FL and I consider Toyota of New Bern my go to dealership. I hope to get back there when I next visit the NC shore.

My wife and I were traveling from NY to help our son move to Cherry Point NC. We got a cut in our tire and toyota care sent a truck within 30 min and put our spare on. It was after hours and we could not get the tire fixed that day. So the very next morning we went to Toyota of New Bern NC. After explaining what happened the service department fixed our tire, placed it back on our Tacoma and even put the spare back underneath the truck. They were so extremely pleasant and did not charge us for the repair. This is some of the most amazing customer service I have ever encountered. I got the pleasure of working with Brandon while working out the lease for the Tacoma, and he was fantastic. It shocked me that he is newer to the profession of selling cars, because he was on top of everything. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and so so so friendly. I would have thought he was an old pro at it. He really made sure that my wife and myself were really comfortable during the process, going so far as to offer us refreshments, and keeping us entertained while the financial side of everything was being processed. I am so glad that he was the salesman that approached me, because he made the sales process easy and painless. I just want to say thank you to Brandon especially, but the whole staff at Toyota of New Bern are just some top notch people. Great crew and fast, flexible service. Here’s my experience. I overheated my transmission while off roading at Cape Lookout. With a 6 hour drive home, I knew I would need fresh transmission fluid to minimize the damage to my 4Runner. Being a Saturday, almost all the shops in an hour drive either didn’t do transmission work or were booked. The team at Toyota in New Bern got us in the same day for the work, and they didn’t mind that we had our dog or that we popped up our roof top tent to let it dry while we waited.

I can’t say enough about Dana Tabarriini, service advisor for Toyota of New Bern. While visiting us in Emerald Isle my son had a drastic failure in his trucks transfer case. Toyota of New Bern is a 2 and a half hour drive away for me, but they had exactly the car I wanted available for pick up the next day. I was able to organize an excellent price on the car via telephone, drive out there the next day to pick it up and have the oil changed on our 2005 Toyota Prius (now my daughters beater) while we did the paperwork. Everyone in the dealership was friendly and helpful. It was an excellent experience.

I contacted the dealer through the website to express interest in a late model previously owned model after seeing their ad for 3,000 over book on any trade in. I told them my car had 168k miles on it. I was contacted the next day and told that it was discussed with the sales manager, they wanted to see my car cause they could use my Mercedes on their used car lot, and to please bring it in cause it was the last day of the month and the special was due to end. I explained that I was on the road on business, but I would bring it the next day if that would be okay. I was told that this would be great, have it there at opening @8:30, and a salesman would meet me.The young salesman was very nice and helpful, they gave me the best offer that I had received anywhere in Jacksonville where I live, but the offer did not reflect 3,000 over book for my trade as the ad indicated. When I inquired about this, at first I was told that it only was for new car trade ins, when I informed them that this was not what the ad said, I was then told it was because the offer expired at the end of the month. When I explained that the Internet sales person implied that the offer would still stand, then I was told that they would have done it, but my car had high mileage and would have to be wholesaled. I explained that I had given them the mileage before I even bothered to come over, but my arguments were to no avail.Nevertheless, I did purchase a midsize truck from them because they beat the best offer I had received previously by $2,000, and the best offer I had received on a Toyota by $5,000. They also offer free oil changes and tire rotations for the life of the vehicle. I hope that promotion doesnt turn out to be misleading as well. The salesman Scott and the business people were really sharp, positive and helpful. Ill go back next time I need a car, but I will watch their promotions REAL closely.

Sales Agent once knowledgeable Marcus worked with me to what was in his control.. there was things where it made me feel uncomfortable but we dealt with. On the other hand what made me give this review a one star was the used car/trade in appraiser an older guy he disrespected my personal relationship with my fiancé, refused to work with me on getting the payment i was looking for and a vehicle. In repeated occasions he tried sticking me to a vehicle that I didn’t appreciate and was double the monthly payments I was able to afford and said that if I didn’t give anything down then there was nothing he could do about it. He approached me at first asking me when I could have $2k down not even knowing what vehicle they had looked into nor the monthly payments. Very unpleasant. I purchased a vehicle of my want and budget brand new 2020 from one of there competitors down the road in New Bern. Wish you guys luck.

After buying my third Toyota from Toyota of new Bern Im done. I took my brand new 4Runner in for its first service today. They rotated the tires, I think, and said thats all that was required for the first service. I know how to read the owners manual. There are other things that need to be checked, its right there in black and white. The service advisor, Dana, asked me if Id like it washed with my service, which is included, lifetime car washes, and returned it to me dirty. I called just after leaving and he said it was washed Guaranteed 100%. I took pictures but cant figure or how to put them on this review. He did tell me that sometimes the car wash doesnt do a good job, it was never even wet... terrible service, and then I was lied to and given excuses. Learn how to do your job and have some quality control. Very disappointed loyal customer.

Ive been shopping around for cars and this dealer has been the worst thus far in terms of respect, experience, and overall customer satisfaction. I think these salesmen are too used to the local Military community who typically pull the trigger on a car too fast. Throughout the experience they constantly say we dont need your business because we can sell it for full sticker. They constantly used this tactic to not negotiate. Ive read some of the bad reviews and I agree with those who have discussed the issue with Toyotas valuation of trade in vehicles. They offered about, and would not budge on a valuation that was significantly under. I feel bad for those who got ripped off. Please do your research before you go to the dealer, or get someone who has experience buying cars and is smart to go with you. Also, the salesmen are not very friendly, at least the ones I spoke with. The sales manager is kind of an a$$ honestly, which is fine if you work in other professions...I guess. Last note. The commercials the dealership pushes on the local channels around the area are far-from being an accurate representation of what you would expect to experience here. The dealership looks nice but I think the people working here have a scam-oriented and disrespectful business approach... I felt like I was around upset Trump voters.

Overall purchase of my vehicle was quick and easy. Had no problem scheduling service and getting a rental. I had an issue with my alignment that was identified prior to the purchase and was not fixed at the time of pick up. I had to return it to schedule service and still see no significant change nor was I briefed about the service that was done

I took my Tundra in for an oil change and tire rotation. Amber was my service consultant. While the technician serviced my truck, he noticed that the water pump was leaking. Amber informed me. I had her look up my warranty information. Amber called the warranty company and negotiated the repair claim and rental car for me. Great service! I definitely recommend this dealership.

Wonderful staff! My husband and I have visited multiple dealerships in search for the right vehicles. One dealership we visited the staff was bickering between each other in front of us while trying to help us. At another dealership the finance manager completely ignored me and dismissed my questions. I never at anytime felt uncomfortable while working with this dealership. The staff seemed to actually work together and with their customers. I didnt feel pressured at any point. Not only was the staff amazing but the dreaded finance portion of the purchase was 👍. I called the dealership and made a appointment to purchase a used tundra they had on their lot. I drove 2 hours away just for them to tell me that they auctioned off the vehicle that same morning when it clearly shows on their computer that they had a appointment for me to come look at it. So they tried to sell me something similar with a little less miles for $5k more than the original truck I was suppose to purchase from them. They wouldnt work a deal with me knowing that it was their fault for auctioning the truck and that I traveled that far for nothing.

The people were helpful and the service was excellent.

Billy and Al were great. They showed us the van and explained the features and equipment. They were available while we were deciding if that was the right vehicle (2017 Chrysler Pacifica) for us but left us alone while Judy and I discussed it between ourselves.One thing, however is that the left rear window motor didnt work and I didnt notice it until after we took possession and had it at home for a day. My fault for not trying out all the windows prior to purchase. Apparently the mechanics did not notice either.I still give all that were involved at TNB 5 stars.

I bought my first truck from Toyota of New Bern in 2004 and was very satisfied then, So I went on line and their chat area was very good, a bit of a delay but overall well informed on what is available on the lot. So, I went back in June 2017 and talked with Willis, outstanding salesman, knew what he was talking about. When I am ready to trade in my truck I will defiantly go back. 5 Star in overall everything. A great dealership to shop and buy. I shopped on phone and gave them what I was looking for. Bret listened to what I wanted and when I arrived he turned me over Brent, I looked at one vehicle, test drove one vehicle and received a great price and purchased the one and only vehicle I test drove.

This dealership is amazing. Doug worked with me and he was so nice and down to earth! not pushy in the least. They were willing to work with me on what I could afford as a monthly payment and we took it from there. They exceeded my expectation in every way. The car buying experience with Michael Moore was wonderful! However, the customer service in the service department sucks! They always take longer then they estimate (2 hours) for an oil change and the service technicians act like you are bothering them. Instead of getting my free oil change from Toyota customer care, I went to Jiffy Lube instead. They were happy to see me and I was done in 20 minutes!
