These guys are the best. Reasonable in their recommendations and prices. I put this in my review for the car lot - they always stand behind their cars - which means even after I wrecked my Jetta, they took care of me and actually cared about making sure the car was as safe and pretty as the day I drove it off their lot. Its funny that one of the reviews says they tried to rip her off b/c she was a woman. Becky (the owner at this location) actually invited my wife back into the shop to teach her about her brake pads. Shes all about educating those of us who dont know anything about cars!

My mother is 64 years old. She is on SSDI, has sleep apnea, needs oxygen, and last month, had a slip-and-fall accident that broke her ankle in three places, requiring surgery. During the last year, my mom has rented a CPAP machine and oxygen tanks from Alpine. When my mother- living on a fixed income of $1,100 a month- picked up the machine and oxygen, she paid the $70-odd dollars they charged her. She was told they would send her a bill for $20-something every month in rental fees. Several months later, she got a large bill in the mail that was difficult for her to pay on her budget. Miraculously, she figured out a way to pay the bill. From that point on, she paid every bill they sent in full. Aside from being chided by an Alpine staff member for not returning a piece of medical equipment the day after an oxygen test (my mother did not know she was supposed to), my mother met every obligation thrown at her. After last month’s accident and surgery, my mother was told she could not put any weight on her ankle during her recovery. The doctor ordered a walker from Alpine, and they delivered it while my mom was incapacitated on pain killers. She had a walker, and did not need it, but was not aware it was delivered or where it came from. I purchased a knee scooter for her to use, but we took the walker because we thought it was provided by the hospital.A month later, my mom recieves a bill for $160-some dollars, the full cost of the walker, and she called Alpine to ask if she could send the walker back to them. They said no, and the woman on the phone asked, “Why did you accept the delivery if you didn’t want it?” RUDE. SO RUDE. Alpine works with older people, people with serious health problems, and many people who have been through procedures and surgeries that compromise one’s ability to make rational, competent decisions. Again, SO RUDE. When my mom asked to talk to a manager, the woman said, “They’ll just tell you the same thing”. The woman put her on hold for so long that my mom gave up.My mom called her insurance company, and Molina they would cover all but roughly $15 of the walker. My mom called Alpine to provide this information, and talked to a second woman. As my mother tried to explain that her insurance should be covering around $145 of the walker. My mother said the woman kept talking over her, insisting that she owes a large amount of money. When my mother began getting irritated at being interrupted, the woman threatened to hang up on her. My mom tried to calm down, but the woman would not listen to my mom explain her position, and as soon as my mom expressed some emotion, the woman hung up on her.Her issue still unresolved, my mom called Alpine and left a message for the manager. He called back, and the manager, rather than trusting her and helping her resolve her questions, defended his staff. She asked for an itemized bill, and when it arrived in the mail, it had jumped up to over $200! On top of the $160, there were charges she’s never seen, AND THERE WERE LATE FEES! WHAT? Since then, when she calls, no one answers. There has been no one to help clear this up.My mom, and our family, are willing to accept that this bill is legitimate, that it may not be a $160-some bill for a walker she doesn’t need. Maybe insurance has paid for that walker. Maybe these $200+ charges are related to the CPAP and oxygen and the testing equipment she’s utilized over the past year or so. The problem I have with Alpine is this:1) Their accounting is inefficient and difficult to understand. My mother has paid every bill sent to her, even when the company saves them up and slams her with a large bill (in spite of her fixed income status). The bills aren’t always itemized, so you don’t always know what you’re paying for. Did insurance cover the walker? Unknown. If it WAS covered, why does my mom owe over $200 when she’s been paying her bills regularly? Unknown.2) The customer service has been atrocious. My mother cannot get a straight information from the staff. She is very distraught. Shame on them.
