The WORST experience I’ve ever had in this store or ANY Ace Hardware I’ve visited. I purchased a $12 item at their advice and later found that my debit card was used after I mistakingly left it at Ace. I canceled the debit card and went back to get a refund for the item (spigot) that didn’t fit. I was told by 2 sales associates (one actually was ready to refund my $12) that I needed a credit card. I explained that the card was canceled due to theft and I didn’t have another. They STILL refused to handle this simple matter.I’m a local businessman and a local resident. I’ve been in this store MANY times on business and personal matters and I’ve seen how the white/caucasian race is treated here. Their treatment is FAR better. I don’t want to do business where they say “we’re all in this together” yet you treat me as “less than” - both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Do NOT go in this hardware store if you are a woman. The staff is unbelievably patronizing and will repeatedly direct you towards the womens section (the gift shop). I have gone in the store on a handful of occasions and every time, I have either have been asked if I was lost or directly told I didnt look like I belonged there. The multiple of the male staff put their hands on my shoulders, hair, and arms on multiple occasions, call me Little Lady (among other pet names) and are generally condescending with every interaction. I would rather shop at a locally owned store but I will drive the extra 15 minutes to the next big hardware store to avoid this store. I will be looking into how to contact their HR because I know that I am not the only woman they do this to.

I’m helping my son paint his first home and have stopped by several times this week. Not real impressed with their knowledge of paint but I have to say they have one very polite and helpful young man by the name of Darius. He is very polite with the customers and his fellow employees.

Bought a electric grill for the patio at this store. Upon first use realized it is a horrible grill. It looked like it boiled the food rather than grilled. I called the store to inquire about the return or exchange policy and was told there isnt one, you cant bring it back. There are no returns on grills. I am not sure if I missed it somewhere that all sales are final. Had I been aware of that I definitely would have made the purchase elsewhere. From the other reviews its definitely appears that the customer service at this store is not its strong point. #NeverAgain.

Friendly staff and has most of the common items you need. You can also pick paint color you want and they will mix it for you.

They helped me fix my tripod at no charge but I bought the tools that they used to fix it it was only $1.50 cents is was a very nice young lady that helped me 😀 thank you now I can photograph faster

I went to this store today and have never been treated so rudely. A nice young gentleman helped me gather things I needed, went to check me out and things started to go downhill from there. The register was not working, no problem I patiently waited for them to ring me up on the next register. The young lady forgot to ask for my rewards and forgot to ring up some of the items. I said can we rerun the whole thing so you can enter my rewards number (it was a substantial $ amount). Then “ALAN” stepped in and said no we are not doing that, there is a line (because their other register was not working). When I objected ( not crazily, but calmly) He got extremely rude and said well we can just void your whole transaction. I said Ok, remained calm, didn’t say anything else and as I was exiting he made yet another rude comment “if you can’t understand that I feel sorry for you”. He could have easily said much more nicely we are happy to rerun you transaction, we have a bit of a line would you mind if we rang these other customers and the take care of you, and it would have been fine. I will not be back, and it is a shame because I have been there numerous times, people always helpful and friendly, but with the chance “ALAN” who is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered, might be working there it will keep me away.

Great mom-and-pop hardware store the mom put together a nice sexy women with love great for buying gifts believe it or not actually now that I think about it you could walk in and buy a gift for a man or a woman in this place. If you need any washers, bird seed, paint or any kind of cleaner they got you covered

So my girlfriend goes in and asks an associate where she can find the linoleum blades? In the most demeaning and condescending inflection conceivable he tells herWhat do you need that blade for, thats not what you need! Oh really .... Wow, it must really be empowering to have the innate ability to read a girls mind to know better than her what she really needs as opposed to what she Told you she needed! I cant wait to swing by and have you read my mind and tell me what Im thinking!

No matter where I am when I seen a Ace I like to stop in and look around so is nice to see an old fashioned hardware store still making it in this eCommerce world. Will make sure to stop back in next year when Im in Atlanta for my next business meeting

Been coming here for couple times but today when I went in I wasn’t even in the first thing they ask me if I’m going to buy something I went to buy a mask I thought one fit all but when I pay it I realized I had a small one I didn’t even left the store they were hiving me attitude. I don’t use the Tace card but I will make sure I take my business to another place.

Ethan is THE BEST! He helped me with all my eyelet questions. We brainstormed on what the best way would be to hang our new banner. And he cut me keys too! The level of knowledge, experience, and customer service is absolutely superb.

Ace is NOT the place...at least not the place to pick up an on-line order. WARNING - there is confusion at ACE on-line and Smith Ace Hardware at Delk Road. You can order a product from Ace online and pick it up at the store, BUT you CANNOT return it there - they say. They say, You must return it through Ace online. Calling Ace online, they were mystified why the local store wouldnt accept the return. Confusion and incompetence reigns supreme and there is NO convenience in having an Ace Hardware store nearby. They are confused (or just ignorance or, worse yet, lazy) and there seems to be little contact between these two Ace Hardware entities. Let this be a warning.Do business with someone else, for in addition to high prices for a limited inventory, they add incompetence and confusion. Stick with a seamless online vendor only. There is little advantage in having a brick & mortar place nearby. Which is regrettable.

Hardware HardWare everybody loves their tools and hardware! Im so glad I shop with these terrific employees and this great ACE business! They are obviously well taken care of, you can tell when somebody lives his/her job, it translates into sales! I know, I bought stuff I dont even need, but Man! I have shopped there before in the past and always had a pleasant experience with the helpful staff. This last time I was there I was returning a box of lights that were not used this holiday season. I was told that I could not return them due to it being after the holidays. Apparently there are folks who use the lights and then return them after the fact. These lights were never removed from their box. The package was clearly never tampered with. It’s unfortunate to lose ones business over something as trivial as $29.99 but I will not be going back. I guess I will be buying my Big Green Egg elsewhere.

I wonder what their real reason was rather than what they told me why they denied me to laser cut a blank Sidemill key type for my vehicle I brought to them. They acknowledged they’d the machine. I even told them I wouldn’t hold them responsible (which is is the norm for when people bring their blank keys with them to cutting shops) if the cutting of the key turns out unsuccessful and hence rendering the key to waste. I also told them I’ve proof of ownership of the vehicle with me for which the key is going to be cut.So if you believe you’d probably also have similar experience as me, just don’t go there. Find somewhere else, for example Batteries Plus Bulbs stores are the best! They did mine without no problem and they are super professional and pleasant interact with. Ironically, it’s these guys - Smith Hardware Delk Road - who told me I can get it cut there when they denied me the service even though they‘d a perfectly working machine.

Always have what i need

Bad experiences two days in a row. Went in to get two paint samples on Monday, and it took an hour to mix them, and one was mixed onto the wrong base. Tuesday morning I go to have full sized cans mixed and am told to go home and bring the sample can in for them to try and read the formula the employee the previous day had used. The cashier, Rosa, was incredibly rude and unhelpful. After a comment about how frustrated I was that I waited an hour the day before an incorrect sample Id paid twice as much for at Ace than I did at home depot, another employee comments that Ace doesnt compete on prices, they compete on service. Clearly you dont get your moneys worth on either product or service. Ill be buying my paint at Home Depot where a friendly employee can mix the correct colour in about five minutes.

This big bald white guy followed me around the store because i was black... this store needs to do some firing and hiring cause thats ridiculous..Its unnerving to have somebody literally speed up to make sure you arnt stealing and then stand at the end of an isle 15 ft away from you and watch you without saying anything...

You forget that most Ace Hardware locations are individually owned. Therefore, most of them have their own unique personality and a local touch. This place had quite an array of products and a very friendly staff.

Having been an Ace Rewards Member since this store first opened, I was extremely disappointed that recently I was told that they could not shake a gallon of outside paint for me. Apparently, they only will shake paint that is purchased in their store. Thus, I went to my local Home Depot where not only did the associate shake the paint, he gave me advice on how to apply it, and asked if I needed any supplies. Now thats the way customers should be treated.
