Love love love this spot! When I say the coffee is delicious I mean it is life changing - you’ll never go back to Starbucks! Pastries are good too! Not only is the coffee delicious but it is also ethically direct trade. The atmosphere is also cozy and bright inside with a nice outdoor picnic table as well.

Very cozy and friendly atmosphere! Coffee is delicious and satisfying. Perfect spot to hang out by yourself for some solitude but also great for a small group meeting. I will definitely be back!!

This is one of those coffee shops that has very high quality coffee.I went in to try the Lavender Rose latte and I ended up knocking over my cup while trying to put a lid on. The barista was so sweet and made me another one and assured me it was okay (I was incredibly embarrassed.) In other words, the staff is super nice.I LOVED my latte. It was simple, yet unlike anything you can typically find in Lou. I hope they keep it on the menu!

Incredibly delicious coffee. My cup of African Fish Eagle was life-altering. It was rich, yet smooth with a robust flavor of dark chocolate and stone fruits. It reminded of the extraordinary coffee that I had during my first Tanzanian safari. Highly recommended.

Fantastic coffee! Bright, fruity notes and very smooth espresso. The owners personally welcomed us and our baby! (Bonus points for the owner giving out a snack to a customer for free after him inquiring about their sides)

As a South African living in the US this South African coffee shop is such a wonderful surprise. Being able to get a taste of home here in middle America is everything. If youre new and dont know what to try i would try Biltong which is a lot like Jerky but very different and the sticky pudding. Definitely worth the visit.

Edit: Theyve been very good working with curbside pickup, updating to 5 given this alternative for COVID safe ordering. Coffee & food still amazing.Drip coffee and sausage rolls were excellent, but half the staff werent wearing a mask.In fact one worker pulled hers _down_ when she walked over to give me my item.

Really fun coffee shopped tucked away near kroger in Crescent Hill. They have a small shop in the back full of fun foods! The coffee shop is a great place to sit and relax while you enjoy your delicious coffee! The Zambian coffee was fantastic!!

I arrived at Ntaba Coffee Haus on Brownsboro! I had such a warm welcome and had the Best Mocha Ever and a sausage roll. Was a wonderful experience and have returned many times with the same results!

I had the Blood Orange tea, which was amazing. It has a flavor reminiscent of Christmas spices. There are coffees, teas, and African food items for purchase. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Latte is very good. Best espresso in town. No acidity. Good milk no preservative or chemicals.They are working on staff to be open consistently.I am thankful they are open, but wish owner would be more compliant with social distancing... or mask wear when within 6 feet of people....however it is a learning process and the owner came talked with me....that was very much appreciated! Thank you!!They support folks in Africa and food from Africa in back of the shop to help support folks in Africa.Thank you for being here in Louisville.

This is a warm retreat of a coffee house, with friendly service. Its a bonus that the staff doesnt treat coffee neophytes as if theyre stupid. Its perched on a hillside, lending a feeling of being just slightly removed from the adjacent car chaos.

Two genuine and kind owners, husband and wife Robin and Stella Mountain, are so awesome with some true South African spirit that just pours out in their decor, their friendliness, and of course with that amazing African coffee. Their warm energy hits you on the first visit if you get the chance to meet them or chat.Bonus! They also run a Safari business that theyll guide you through back in their beautiful home of Africa. The best part is, they have a small grocery in the back of the coffee shop with nothing but South African goodies!PLEASE! Do yourself a favor and make this your new regular coffee stop, or grab some delicious tea, baked good, anything. You WONT regret it.

If you havent tried NTABA you havent been to a real coffee shop. Best coffee hands down that I have had in a very long time. The coffee is so rich and flavorful. Its said I could only get a 16oz. cup because I would have totally bought a much larger cup if they offered a larger size. But its worth the trip to buy this coffee, go ahead and give it a shot. Ill be a returning customer!

Excellent coffee and interesting tweaks to the usual drinks. Nice to have the South African touches, too. Pleasant service, comfortable atmosphere.Have to add after a second visit and meeting the manager and his wife: this could easily become a new favorite place in town. Windows get great sun from the south, so its a lovely spot to sit and work.

Wonderful coffee, fantastic owners and staff, tasty treats, clean and beautiful setting, and even a small shop where you can get authentic South African food products. The place is very calm, Zen. I enjoyed my Lavender Latte while looking at the beautiful artwork on the walls. My husband and I learned some interesting history when we conversed with the owners. We highly recommend trying Ntaba Coffee Haus out! We will definitely be returning!

The coffee is not only great, the iced tea is fantastic!They have homemade food like meat pies, and a small shopping market with cool eats.And it’s nice inside and well lighted.

I walked into an open door at 7:05, was told, “just so you know, we don’t open until 7:30.” They proceeded to turn their backs and chat, while I stood there for 2 minutes. The espresso machines, coffee, right there, this neighbor wanting coffee and willing to pay, early or not, waiting at the counter, ignored for her lack of catching their hours on the way through an OPEN door and lights on.While they were indeed accurate that they didn’t open for 25 minutes, verified by checking the hours clearly posted on the door on my exit, I won’t be back to see if the reviews of a “friendly staff” are friendlier in 25 minutes.

This place has a wonderful ambiance, menu, and staff. They were attentive, and even got me to try a cold brew. Their pastries are delicious too! I plan to be a regular here.

Ntaba is a South African Coffee shop and South African market in the Clifton neighborhood with AMAZING coffee and a great atmosphere. My husband and I live in the neighborhood and love walking here with our kids for their freshly roasted African coffee. The owner is almost always in the store and available to answer any questions. He is so friendly and always eager to tell you all about his selection of fresh green coffee beans that he roasts in house. You can clearly taste the quality of the coffee and the ingredients in every coffee, espresso and cappuccino. The coffee here is so much better than any other coffee shop Ive ever been to. This is our new favorite spot! I DEFINITELY recommend you check this place out!

Being South African we ought to stop by this cafe while passing through Louisville.It has a small shop at the back with some local South African products like chocolates, rusks, spices etc. Nothing out of the ordinary.We had some coffee and pies. Great tasting.
