I went to Liberty Auto City to help my mom buy a new vehicle. We worked with Jeremiah. The current supply shortage was really difficult for my mom to understand, but Jeremiah was very patient. My moms biggest concern with a new vehicle was that she wanted something she could easily get in and out of. Jeremiah pulled several vehicles up to the building so my mom didnt have to do too much walking to try out different models.Initially, she was going to order a 2022 Jeep Cherokee. We walked through the order process. About a week and a half later, the dealership learned that the 2022 Cherokee was not going to be made because of the lack of computer chips. Jeremiah called me to explain the situation and recommended one of the dealer loaner cars that they had on the lot, the Chrysler Voyager. It was not available on the day we were there. Jeremiah brought the vehicle out to my moms house for her to test drive so she didnt have to go all the way to the dealership to try it. It turned out to be the easiest one for her to get in and out of. She decided to go with it. In the end, she believes she likes the Voyager better than the Cherokee she originally ordered. The overall experience with Jeremiah was refreshing. He does not put off the air of a typical salesman. We were not looking forward to interacting with a salesman at all, but Jeremiah took us by surprise and made the whole process a successful and positive experience.

The BEST dealer experience Ive ever had, hands down. Our salesperson was not available, so another stepped in and she was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. There was no pressure, all of our questions were answered, everything was reviewed with us, and she made sure we got exactly what we wanted. We felt valued as people, not as dollar signs.Highly recommend stopping in. We worked with Vanessa, Dan, and Eddie, but Im sure everyone else is just as awesome!

I had an AMAZING experience. I had been on a quest for a new car for a while but had really bad experiences in the past and was very hesitant. I was very fortunate to meet Tyler. He was very friendly and personable. He explained the whole process to me and made me feel confident about my decision. Take your money elsewhere... Got the good ole bait and switch going here. Drove an hour to purchase a Jeep they had. We were preapproved ready to go at their MSRP and they wouldnt even honor their bluebook prices on our trade. 5k less then their own websites bluebook values. Everyone knows prices are up in this hot used market. This isnt a hot new market. They let go of a for sure sale of 6 7k profit trying to reach for 10k and instead got 0 profit. Watch the bait n switch coming here.

Extremely disappointing and misleading experience. I was contacted by an internet sales manager to come in and have a vehicle special ordered. I explained I did not want to drive quite the distance if I was not able to make the purchase givin the vehicle I wanted was not available. The internet manager assured me they were able to place an order and do the deal.Upon getting to the dealership, it was all not as said. The manager who does ordering was not there and nothing was communicated to him. They also could not honor a lease special that is advertised on the JEEP.COM website. They told me I would need to put down $3499 plus another $17,000. Salesman Claiming that the Jeep lease special listed is false marketing and misleading to get people in the door.I spend and hour and a half plus dealership time just to find all this out.Very unprofessional. Consider visiting other Jeep dealerships.

The worst experience I’ve ever had at a dealership. They’re scammers! They will tell you what you want to hear and when you come back to purchase they hit you with a million fees and will deny ever telling you otherwise. If you aren’t paying full price you won’t be getting the car. I didn’t encounter any other employees other than a woman named Vanessa and she was not only very unhelpful but extremely rude and condescending. The most unprofessional sales person I’ve ever met. They will try to get every penny out of you, I promise. Don’t go here it’s a waste of time!

Beware of warranty scamWe bought a car from Liberty a few years ago.  We were sold a warranty for $2500.  If we needed to use the warranty, we were told that the repair amount would be deducted from the $2500.  Whatever amount was unused after two years would be refunded.  Sounded great.  But it was a complete scam.We used only a small portion of the warranty so we called to request a refund of the remaining amount after two years.  They claimed that there was no such provision in the warranty contract.  After reading the entire contract, I realized that they were right.  But management knew that their warranty salesperson had scammed us so they offered us a small amount of money towards the purchase of our next car with them.  Thanks, but Ill be buying my next car elsewhere.If you insist on doing business with these guys, my advice is to either record all conversations with them or bring an attorney to read everything.

I would like to thank Victor for his quick and easy service when buying a used car. I knew what car I wanted (year/make/trim) and found at their dealership. I called as an out of state purchaser and spoke with Victor about the car. He went out and personally took photos of the car and texted me them. We agreed on a price over the phone and I drove up and purchased the vehicle that week. The reason they get 5 starts is because they sold me the car for the agreed upon price with no major hiccups. They did not impose any other costs or charges that I was not expecting and I very much appreciate that. Thank you Victor!

By far, the worse experience in a dealership ever. The manager Jerry was very rude after he promised a price of 14,000 for a vehicle. After letting him and the salesman know I had a pre-approval letter from my own financial institution and I’d put the rest of the cash down he TOOK BACK the price and ran my credit multiple times. With that being said, he was charging me 3x the price on the vehicle and was trying to charge me $795 for GAP insurance without asking me if I wanted it. He then started yelling at me and my family members. He then said he didn’t want to sell me the car. Again, terrible experience and all I wanted to do was buy a vehicle. First and last time I step in there.

.My son bought a used Prius from Liberty dealership. After buying the car the sales person told us they only had one key fob. I was not clear how much it cost to buy a new fob. I have no doubt they knew the value of the fob! Lombard Toyota said it will coat $394.45. I find their behavior shameful!

Notice all the 1 star ratings?!?I scheduled a recall service for our Jeep Grnd Cherokee. I asked if any courtesy cars were available - He said sure, in two weeks, so I scheduled a date 2 weeks away. Upon arriving, they said no courtesy cars were available. Not even a sorry we are out and he insinuated that I didnt reserve a courtesy car ahead of time.This is the third lack luster service experience Ive had with Liberty.Ill go elsewhere from here on out and would recommend everyone else to do the same. For repairs, Sunset Automotive in Lake Bluff is a great alternative. If you want to buy a Jeep, go to Fields in Glenview (much higher google ratings, too).Id bet many of the 5 start ratings are generated by fake email accounts.

Having spent a decent amount of my time traveling to multiple car dealers, I was at the end of my hope but then I met Tyson. He did not make me feel like I was just another car sale. He was very well informed on the different aspects of the car and kept in mind what exactly I was looking for. I had an extremely positive experience buying a new Grand Cherokee here this past weekend. Any car dealership in the country will do whatever they can to sell you a car before you walk out the door. Thats to be expected.Working with Chris at Liberty, there was a small but important difference. I felt like he wasnt just working hard to sell me a car, he was working hard to find a Jeep that had all of the things that were important to me and then worked even harder to get his finance team to make the numbers work with my trade in.Long story short, I got the car I wanted and drove away feeling like I got a deal. This review is long over due and I apologize in advance for the length. I took my car in to be serviced in February of this year. I was having an issue with my passenger side turn signal continuously going out. I previously had the light bulb replaced twice by two reputable mechanics. At this point, it was apparent that the problem was not the bulb and with the connection. I also knew it was not the bulb because the turn signal would work intermittently. I decided to call and make an appointment at the dealership where I purchased my vehicle as it was still under warranty. I live over an hour away from this dealership, but I do work near by. I needed to have this issue resolved due to my long work hours (tax season). When I dropped my car off, the gentleman who helped me completely blew off my concerns, stating it was most likely the bulb. He wrote down the issues on a post it note and seemed very agitated. The positive part of this experience was the shuttle service that took me to my job. The shuttle was very prompt and I was able to arrive at work on time. Later that day, I received a phone call from someone in the service department letting me know they changed the light bulb, tightened the prongs, and everything was good to go. He proceeded to tell me that light bulbs were not covered under warranty, but he did not charge me (like he was doing me a favor). I let them know that I did not think that was the issue, that the issue was something with the connection, and that I would not have time to bring my car back to that dealership anytime soon as I would be traveling for work and I do not live near there. Not even a week later my turn signal was not working again. I understand that sometimes it can take trial and error to figure out what can be causing an issue. My complaint is not about that. My complaint is the arrogance of the service department and how my concerns were completely disregarded. I contacted the sales associate who I purchased the car from and he asked if I could leave them with my car for a few DAYS. As I said before, this was not practical due to my work schedule and I had already set aside time to take care of the issue. After the tax deadline I brought my car to a different dealership. They actually tested the light bulb and determined that it in fact was not the light bulb, but the connection. They did not need a few days. They were able to diagnosis this issue within a few hours. They said they rarely see this specific part break. They ordered a replacement part and my turn signal has been functioning every since - because they actually LISTENED. Although my purchase experience at this dealership was great, I will not be returning here to purchase my next vehicle due to my experience with the service center.

Why is this dealership in business?? Someone please tell me that. How do you work at a car dealership and NOT understand what a Bill of Sale is?? and how to type one up and email it ??I was looking to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. I went to the dealership with cash to purchase a vehicle. I did nor need financing and did not need a credit check. I saw a vehicle that I liked and wanted to purchase. It took the dealership a few days to get my Bill of Sale to me. The salesman led me to believe that he was not sure what the Bill of Sale was. It took a few days for me to get the correct Bill of Sale after I connected with upper management. When they finally got their act together, I went back to make the purchase after sending the Bill of sale to my bank and they sold the vehicle. They were rude, no customer service experience, very unprofessional and they treated me with little to no respect. I purchased the same vehicle from another dealership, that can appreciate my business and the customer service was flawless.I will NEVER refer anyone to this dealership nor will I EVER waste my time, efforts and money with them. TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Spend your time, money and efforts wisely.

When I bought my 2017Jeep everyone was very nice and stressed their great service if we ever have a problem. Weve had two. Both are things Jeep is aware of, but doesnt recall. First, our Jeep burns oil. You have to put oil in every 3rd fill up or the Jeep starts losing pressure and dying. Now, the shifter panel stopped working on a automatic transmission. Google it. Apparently it happens a lot. Liberty is booking service appointments a week out. Not very helpful when youre Jeep isnt working now. Also no loaners available. I can leave my Jeep and theyll get to it eventually, but no loaner.

I wish I could give zero stars to the dealership. There is a rule in the any business treat your customer fairly and with respect. First time I went in looking to purchase a 2020 Jeep gladiator sport standard. The car wasn’t on the ground yet. That’s not a big deal told the salesman we can work everything out and I’ll leave a deposit. I’ll pick it up when it’s physically there. After two hours of back and forth. Ed the sales manager basically said we won’t match or beat the price you for at another dealership. We want more money. That’s fine no problem. That was on July 4th. My buddy saw the same car still at the dealership on August 7th. So I decided to get all my numbers on order with my bank. I even did the car buying program through Baxter. Dijon called me and confirmed the vehicle and price. Went into the dealership ready to purchase for the true car price. Ed once again was the manager working the deal. Stated true car is third party. We don’t have to honor that price. Also if you want a price close to it you have to finance with us. Red flag number two. None of the rebates from Jeep are based on financing the FCA. I told that I will not do that. I will bring a check from my credit union. Suddenly the price went up 1500. Let the games begin. Long story short i let and informed them I’ll call Baxter and true car about the issues. They basically just laughed. Now true car is telling me they won’t even pick up the phone from them. Gotta love the shady dealers out there. Listen to the reviews. This one of the worst rated Jeep dealers.

Let me start by saying i purchased 2 new fully loaded top trim vehicles from them in 2018 and the experience was as I would expect from any car dealership selling you brand new $60k plus vehicles. I went in the morning of 8.19.20 very excited on the first day that you were supposed to be able to order a new 2021 Ram TRX. I got told that they did not have the ability to order them yet because FCA dropped the ball on their launch as usual and that I would have to wait until 8.24.20 to come back in and order one. I was disappointed but willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I eagerly came back in on the 24th with my TRX build printed out and checkbook in hand ready to get one ordered. I was given the runaround again and told that I still could not order one but they would take my information and call me as soon as they could order one. Again disappointed I left and proceeded to scour the internet for any information from FCA about when I would be able to order one and on the forums saw a lot of people that posted their builds they were able to order on launch day 8.19.20.....Frustrated that my feelings of getting the runaround were accurate I immediatly called the dodge dealer in Gurnee and within 20 minutes over the phone they not only got one ordered for me but the sales manager actually amended an order they put through on launch day for a truck for their lot with my specifications so that I didnt lose the time I spent waiting on Liberty Dodge to figure out how to order a truck. My 1 star is less for their inability to order a truck for me as it could not be entirely their fault (although I cant see how 2 dealers less than 15 miles apart in the same state would have different ordering capabilities) but the 1 star is for their complete lack of interest or care in ordering me a $90k truck or even attempting to give me any updates. I still have not received any information or follow up from them about when they would be able to order me a truck and its been almost 3 weeks since my order at Gurnee Dodge has been placed

I came in for some extended warranty work on an engine light in mid November. It turned out that I needed brakes done, and they found another issue that needed repair under warranty. Jim the advisor was informative, prompt with calls and pricing that was very competitive compared to my normal shop, and all work was done same day. Right before Christmas, I noticed noise while stopping. I called on the 26th and they got me in the next morning and found a bad pad along with some other minor issues. They took care of me quickly, professionally, and I would totally recommend their service department to anyone with a Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, or Ram.
