My son and I both have received their services for repairs and oil changes. They are accommodating and truthful with their diagnosis and repair in a timely manner. Truly offer genuine customer care. Venus is an exceptional young lady who deserves a raise. She went way beyond expected customer service with such a beautiful attitude and personality. Makes our day to talk with her and car issues less of an inconvenience.

I usually never worried about oil changes but with current events my husband & I are switching roles. A young gentleman at Meineke, named Mason was multitasking and offering to the best of his ability customer service. I was with my daughter and was teaching her that is how going the extra step for good service is done. I even spoke with another patron in waiting whom spoke nicely about Mason, and it put me at ease to go back because of gentleman at counter. even at a busy time when he spoke to me about my vehicle he was one on one and put me at ease at understanding process.

I called to get a price quote for a new fuel injector. Mason helped me over the phone. He suggested a more economical route and suggested we start with a fuel injector cleaning. And if that didnt work there were other avenues to explore. He was very professional. Once I got there he was patient. He listened to all of my concerns. Long story short I will be going back there for future services.

I went in for a routine oil change. Before, I suspect other oil change places did not have the correct oil filter for my car and just filled the oil, not telling me and taking my money, never replacing the filter. The guy at Meineke was honest, told me it was the filter that was on tight and to get the filter off he may need to break it. He helped me settle the issue, without breaking the filter off, by being honest and forthcoming and did a great job, by inherently making my service engine light go off. Great job Meineke and thank you for the integrity! I would reccomend these services to anyone!

I came in for an emissions test. I thought this would be simple and easy. They first ask, Why are you getting an emissions test? Well, to renew my yearly sticker with Texas. Isnt that why everyone gets an emissions test? I asked the price and they told me $18.50. Then they said with the extra inspections it will be $25.50. I was like, Sure, go ahead. After 10 minutes the front desk associate tells me that both tag lights are out and I wont pass without fixing at least one. I tell her to fix one, as I can replace the other myself. She also tries to upsell me on air filter changes (just went to mechanic a week ago all was fine) and offers a list of work they recommend (brake job, brake flush, power steering fluid, etc.) Five minutes later she says they are done and hands me a bill for $40.49 They charged me $12.99 to replace one bulb. The bill said a total of $38.49, and she said the extra $2 was tax although the bill calls it Shop supplies. I went ahead and paid. She said they were pulling the car around. I get outside and they are fumbling with the one bulb. I stand there for 10 more minutes watching as two people try to figure out how to change one bulb on my tag light. When they seem to get it they close the trunk and offer me the car. I ask, is the light working because I did not see the lights on. The tech sees they are not on and opens the trunk again. She and another tech fumble around until they realize that my headlights need to be on to make the tag light come on. Both tag lights come on, which they told me were both dead. They basically didnt know how to get the tag lights on in the first place and charged me for changing a bulb that was not dead in the first place. I tell this to the manager who tries to claim I might have a short somewhere. No, the tech did not know to turn the headlights on to get the tag lights on. I was charged extra for no reason. The manager SHOULD have made that right but had no intention to.AVOID THIS PLACE AND GO TO A PROFESSIONAL. THESE PEOPLE ARE AMATEURS. I wouldnt even let them change my oil.

My experience at Meineke (Katy Mills location), was great! They have worked on my car before for brakes, routers & new tires. This visit was for a state inspection. Michelle, really knows her stuff when it comes to vehicles. She is very kind & friendly, which makes you feel so comfortable and trusting that her mechanics will do a fantastic job on your car! I was a bit nervous about taking my vehicle to a shop- as this was the first time having to take care of these types of things on my own. However, Philip, the owner, was very kind and took the time to explain to me what needed to be done, why it needed to be done, what could wait til a later date, and even showed me under the hood of my truck so I could see for myself what needed attention. Ben was amazing and had my truck repaired in a fairly quick time frame. These two men were very knowledgeable and kind- which helped make a stressful situation so much better simply by giving great customer service and caring for their customers! Ive used this company twice for some major issues i had with my brand new car. And each time they were courteous, informative, and professional. They explained everything that needed to be done in detail, gave me a quote on my repairs and once approved by me and my warranty company, they had my car in, repaired, and out, in no time at all. Same day. Which is always a plus if you only own that ONE car. A subframe part on my car broke and I was towed here. They were able to bring my car into the garage quickly and found the issue. They did not have the part as it was a dealer only part, but were able to fix it temporarily so I could safely drive to the dealership. Highly recommend them for friendly and fair service.

While the issue my truck was having was fixed, in a somewhat timely manner, the amount they charged me for labor was far too high. In fact, the charges for labor were astronomical. I paid more in labor, then I did for the actual parts that were needed for my truck!!! Service was great, however, and the employees were friendly, which was a welcome experience.

I recently had a state inspection for my Mazda6 at this Meineke location. There was a connection issue between the Inspection machine and the Mazdas on-board computer so the machine would not read the computer properly the first time and erroneously triggered an error message. Both the store manager and the technician (sorry I didnt get their names) didnt just dismiss the issue for me to fix it myself (as they could have done). Instead they went the extra mile to resolve the issue, successfully inspected my car eventually. I really appreciated their professionalism and customer service and I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs car service.

The manager was very courteous and polite. The only reason why I didnt give 5 stars is because he told my mom one thing about a discount and did a totally different thing the next day when it came to actually following up with that discount. He said it himself that he would give us the discount and still charged me full price the next day. I get that he is making a living but the least you can do is not lie to your customers. Ill definitely be going back in the future because he was a sweet guy but he needs to go above and beyond to actually keep his customers.

I’ve been coming to this location for almost two yrs since moving from VA to TX and have spent thousands of dollars here! And it’s started off a great experience but has recently declined. As a AA Woman I try my best to support black businesses but have to admit this location is why I am inclined not to do so. Got work done my front end and had issues only to bring it back and learn that the parts they used from their vendor went bad so it’s covered but I still have to pay for labor. Paid for an oil leak to be repaired only to bring it back b/c the oil still leaked only to be told it was leaking from a different place...SERIOUSLY! This is BS! I’m a single mom who works on the front line in healthcare before, during and God willing after COVID! And they want more money to fix or repair what was suppose to be fixed in the first place! Then I schedule an oil change call to see what’s the latest I can do so and was told 5p only to receive a call shortly after that they are leaving by 2p. on a Sat. When I called their competitors I was told they’d be there until closing time! I only keep going back b/c I have a gear shift issue that they are familiar with but my hand to the creator! After today’s oil change, I will go back and pay for the labor to get fixed and my front end issues but will never go back. You don’t and shouldn’t treat ppl this way! I’m positive the PPP loan due to the pandemic is keeping you afloat so do your jobs correctly the first time and protect yourselves and get healthcare workers back on the road without robbing them blind! My level of integrity dictates that if anyone from this company or their family should ever come to the medical center for care or the countless satellite office we have throughout Fort Bend and Katy; I vow to provide proper care and make certain they will never have to choose between feeding their families or being able to receive treatment and keep Texans safe! I’m so frustrated with this location which is walking distance from me home. If ever ANY black owed businesses wants to do better and make sure you can stay financially viable without a gov’t hand out or taking advantage of us all during our most vulnerable time in our lifetime, look to Meineke in Katy to know what not to do and how not to treat your most loyal and valuable clientele! I made an appointment days Im advance for a front end alignment ando oil change. I let them up sell me to replace the differential fluid. Told the wait would be about an hour.Almost 2 hours later my vehicle is ready, BUT, they couldnt do the front end alignment because they didnt have the proper tools. So, $140.00 and two hours later, I still dont have the front end aligned.

I took my truck here today, and i couldnt be any happier then i am now. the managers were very nice and knew their stuff. they are under new management at this location. they even give military/law inforcement discounts. which i am military. i give them all 5 star and i will only be going to them from now on. i have been to 4 other shops and no one else could figure out my car but they did in 20 min!!!! thanks guys!

Brought my car in for a knocking in the tire. Tech came back saying it was a whole list of issues costing upside of $2500 so we left to get a second opinion. We called around and ended up going to 2 other local mechanic shops and had 1 freelance mechanic look at it and got the same outcome from all 3 of them. Only 1 of the list of issues we were told by Meineke was actually wrong with our car. Best and final price was $705 us the price of an alignment... tall should feel ashamed of trying to run us up and fix issues that didnt even need fixing! LIARS

I went in this location upon seeing a $19.99 oil change and had my oil changed., I noticed the next couple of days an oil spot in the drive way .. thinking it maybe A/C run off, i ignored it .. as the weather was changing here Houston and assumed it more condensation than usually i see .. finally after a week i saw it leaking as i started the engine. it was coming from the oil sensor beside the oil filter,,, i knew then where that had happened :(.. at the time of the oil `Change the tech had put on the wrong filter and backing my car off the rack I had seen a giant 3 quart new oil spill on the floor.. [the reason i walked back was because they had my car for 50 mins.] so incompetence somehow `bumped or hit my `Sensor with the oil wrench .. cracking [and or] Damaging it. i took the car back to this location.. 1st they claimed a `faulty filter [I knew better] so i kept telling them `where i saw the leaking oil.. finally it leaked there, so the manager tells me `No problem Mr. Burks we will have you a new oil sensor tomorrow as it was almost close .. to come back earlier and well fix You right up.. and they did repair it.. Then tried to charge me $100.21 for fixing something they broke .. i was not / am not happy.. i refused to pay the `Unauthorized work, and `instructed Jose the manager to `remove the new sensor and replace mine . they did it ..and sent me on my way with the faulty sensor :( .. i feel i have been ROBBED .. and wasted 3 hours of my off time in traffic to and from.. had they told me they were to charge me extra for something they created id never went back .. i have been done Wrong :( buyer beware !!!

Very disappointed with Groupon coupon. I got an oil change coupon for $14.95 my vehicle takes 7 quarts (Expedition) I was charged $20 for 2 quarts of oil and with all the other charges, oil disposal etc.ended up spending $49. No way I would ever spend $10 a quart for oil and I was never asked before it was done. Mechanics were nice but I felt I was taken advantage of. Live and learn never to return

I live in Cedar Park, TX but had brake and shock work done on my car at Meineke in Katy. The brakes make this horrible noise every time I come to a stop. People stare. Ive taken my car back to Meineke in Katy several times. I cant get any satisfaction. The last time I took in my car for brake noise and shock replacement, they told me I had to replace CV axle because it was falling out. They replaced it and one week later I had to replace it again. This time Im back in Cedar Park when the CV axle broke and caused transmission damage. Meineke in Austin would not honor repairs. Meineke in Katy refused to honor their work to both my transmission or replacement of the CV axle. Im an 68 yr old female who feels Ive been dealt with unfairly by this company. I went through Corporate and still received no satisfaction.

Manager lied to me and service is BAD. I purchased a oil service on Groupon and called ahead to make an appointment. When I walked in, the manager gave me a VERY HARD TIME to get the service and he said he has no time today. (Get your schedule straight!!)Whats worse, the manager LIES. Finally he realized that Im not going take no as an answer so he told me that I can come back an hour later. When I came back, he said he couldnt do it because he needs talk to me and he couldnt read my phone number that he wrote down himself!!!He has absolutely no intention to serve me. They did good work but they are heavily overpriced charging 350.00to replace 1 metal brake line and the rubber line. Can get same work other places for half the price. Top it off charged40.00for 3 ounce of brake fluid. Total rip off.

I went for inspection and he is talking about replacing parts and repair which is not even related to Inspection. I had done inspection in 5 minutes on the other side of I10 same day. NEVER again. Terrible service AND faulty service performed on my husbands car. I contacted corporate and the manager, and received an email from a T. Grandinetti stating that my husbands car was 100% safe in its current condition. Wrong. My husband asked our neighbor who is a mechanic to look at the brakes and Meineke DID NOT remove the old brake shim, and put the new brakes on top it, which made the noise. DO NOT make an appointment online, as we made the appointment and the job was not completed until close to 7 pm, which is past their business hours. Meineke did a half wit job and I am beyond appalled at the way customer service handled my complaint.Appointment time: 3:00 pm FridayCall back for time to quote for new brakes 5:20 pmTold estimation would be $630. We said ok.Get a call back (AFTER they already took out the old brakes) that they did not have the proper rotor size and asked to keep our car overnight (given that they close at 6 pm and was told the job would be done by 6:30 pm). My husband asks if they can put the old parts back because he needed to work. The person was very rude and stated that we would be double charged for labor . How is it our fault they did not have the rotor size?The follow up email was NOT apologetic in ANY WAY. NEVER again, and I will make sure to let people know of the terrible customer service and the outrageous labor charge of $125 PER brake which cost us $250 for the service.

From the very first call with Gerald, the customer service was A1. Gerald quoted us a price that was affordable for the parts we requested. When I walked in I was greeted by Gerald and Kourtney. I told them what I needed and they got right to work. I was currently due for an inspection and they were able to fit that in even though they were busy. Being a woman I hate doing any kind of maintenance on my car because of course shops try to offer you unnecessary products/services. They even have the cutest shop dog named Chewbacca, who doesnt love dogs? Overall I would definitely recommend this location. Thank you Kourtney and Gerald for this experience.

Very upset with them. In late 2015 I called to ask how much a synthetic oil change was...and they gave me a price saying they had a special . They quoted about $60 which I thought was good.However, when I checked out the bill ran up to almost $90 as they tacked on labor, oil, shop supplies and tax! If $60 for the oil change doesnt include labor, supplies and the oil.....what does it include? I argued with him for a while then he gave me a coupon to mail-in for a $10 Rebate.Very dishonest representation of business!

Chris went above and beyond for me today, I am moving cross country to Savannah GA tomorrow and with the hurricane I was not able to get my inspection done before now. He opened up just for me to get it done and was quick and really informative. They are very honest here I had a Groupon and due to the weather he could not communicate with Groupons server to redeem but he insisted I get my refund and he would honor he price. He patiently waited while I worked with Groupon on my refund and once it was processed he then charged me. In the past dealing with issues like this has been a struggle and Chris was more than accommodating. Though I am moving out of state I would highly recommend this location to any of my friends and relatives if they want honest and efficient service. Thanks again for being neighborly which is a rare thing these days especially in the auto care business.

Very unlawful practices. Took my car for an AC diagnostic to most likely have the lines balanced and filled. After a $130 fee they said everything was fine, it wasnt and it was blowing out hot. Went right back and after 30 minutes they tell me I need a new compressor and total AC replacement at over $1200.I leave and go to another local shop I trust. He checks the lines and finds them filled with a yellow oily substance. Flushes them and finds the condensor needs to be replaced and the evap temp sensor needs to be replaced. Both parts are changed for $400 and it works fine.The meineke shop not only failed to perform a diagnostic, but most likely put some strange liquid into my system which damaged the condensor.

I went here because of a Groupon. Biggest mistake ever. They charged me 8 bucks for an extra quart of oil, plus another 8 bucks for oil disposal; bringing my total oil change to around $35 bucks...the same price I would have paid anywhere else. The place was dead, no customers. When another customer walked in and asked for an on-board computer diagnostic, they were told it would cost $149. We told the guy to go to AutoZone and they would do it for free. Rip off central, avoid at all costs.

My vehicle broke down on Katy freeway on Friday around 5:30pm. I towed it to Meineke even though they were closed the manager Dandrae came out and helped me get my car situated for the next day. They did a full diagnosis next day and got me on the right track to get driving again.

Dont know why reviews are so bad . Im from cali, stoped in for brakes & oil for drive home, they showed me I still had 50% brakes left . Checked fluids, got home safe ! Very honest, thanx guys !
