This weekend I went to CVS pharmacy to pick up three of my five prescriptions. Despite their automated refill telling me they were ready, I only received one which was not even one the prescriptions I needed. I was told to come back this Monday which I did. They had lost my prescription, and after looking for ten minutes they decided to just refill right there. As it turns out, the prescription I received was the same one I received this weekend. I told them this and they told me they had no record of giving it to me, and I would have to come back a third time to recieve my final prescription. I have been going to this CVS for almost two years, and they have never once had my prescription ready for me correctly the first time regardless of whether I use their automated system or call them personally. I return to this CVS simply because there is nowhere else in walking distance that I can go to, however if you are fortunate enough to have the option I strongly recommend you go anywhere else.

This CVS is conveniently located inside Old Capitol Town Center. A real go to place for running in when you are in downtown Iowa City. A good place to get prescriptions filled fast. You can also buy lotto tickets, school supplies, vitamins, groceries and more. They have grab and go sandwiches at this CVS. If you are picking up a gift downtown or at one of the other stores in Old Capitol Town Center this is a great place to stop in and get a card and giftbag. The first hour of parking is free in the parking ramp attached to Old Capitol Town Center so it is easy to run in.

If youre a student in the dorms, youll find yourself here quite often. Unfortunately, their staff rarely work there for more than a year or so, going home for the summer and finding another job next year. Their summer hours are basically nothing.Still, theyre not terrible. Just... a little below average for a CVS.

I shopped at this CVS tonight. Miguela displayed some of the best customer service skills Ive ever seen. She rang up several items and bagged them for me, I paid, and then I found a coupon. I asked her if I could still use it although the purchase was complete. Smiling and without hesitating, she offered to refund all my items and then run the purchase through again with the coupon. Miguela also courteously helped another pushy customer who could not wait until she was done helping me. She also graciously apologized to me for the wait. Thank you, Miguela. More than the $15 you saved me, Ill remember your kind and professional demeanor.

I was very happy with the help I received at this CVS today. I went in looking for some Cold medicine, and two knowledgeable workers helped me find the best products for my symptoms.

Valerie was amazing! I was in town just for the week, and I accidentally left my migraine medication at home. Valerie did everything she could think of to help get the medicine to me. Unfortunately I ended up having to pay cash price due to insurance reasons but she even applied a coupon code and was able to take some money off. She knew I was in pain and she tried her best to take it away. Thats how every healthcare professional should be. I cant thank her enough!

Terrible hours for a pharmacy. Closed at 6pm on a Saturday because of winter break hours. Sorry, but youre not part of the University. Youre a national chain. Keep regular hours.

This store is consistently and persistently racist. The amount of racial profiling here is out of control. Tried to make a return and the woman looked at me like I had stole the items because I didn’t have a receipt. I hate that this is the closest cvs for college students but I will be calling them out the next time I find myself being profiled.

Love it and the employees that work their at the old capital mall

I have consistently had problems at this CVS with filling very simple prescriptions monthly. Recently I bought vaseline that had been used and then repackaged and sold again. I could literally see the finger indentation in it and there was vaseline all over the outside of the container, but it was repackaged so I had no idea until after I had bought it and opened the packaging. Not my fav place!!!!!

Wish it was open later but its in the mall. Other than that its a nice CVS always friendly at the cash register.

I just went to the CVS store with my family. The store staff, whose name is Dawn, if I remember correctly, is a middle aged lady with dark short wavy hair, was very rude and unprofessional, also very rasist. I will never go back there. We will take our business else where.

The people who work there are very cold, almost stiff. No welcomes, no smiles. Pharmacy people are the worst. Very unpleasant.

Hours posted online are inaccurate. Clearly understaffed, to the detriment of clientele.
