I would consider coming back here as my first experience with another bartender was a good one and the alcohol is super cheap. You can see that they are trying to renovate the place, but progress seems slow. The bartender Ive had on my following visits, although friendly to me this past time, has been rude prior because he didnt give the correct order. This last time he told another customer that he wouldnt fill their free water. While this man was waiting for water he was telling me ridiculous stories instead.

Went here for the first time and loved this bar! The bartender Jessica did a fabulous job keeping everyone happy! It was busy and she handled it with ease! She was also fun and very friendly! She greeted us and made us feel welcome! Definitely a must stop when visiting the Historic Irvington area!

Neighborhood bar that was recently updated with a remodel. They also added a kitchen. Great prices on drinks and they also offer a ton of craft beers. Karaoke, and the bartenders are awesome people. Great mixed crowd, no drama and just an all around good time!

Gem of the East side! Emily, the bartender, is pretty awesome. Friendly crowd. You might catch some decent talent on the mic some nights. If you like dive bars with a diverse crowd, stop in.

This is an old school bar. Drinks are cheap. Staff is great. Theres a rare shuffle bowling machine to play. And theres a covered smoking area out back if you like cigarettes

This east side gem is beloved by locals! Great bartenders, prices and jukebox. The have karaoke, live music, darts and a kitchen.

I dont go into establishments that serve alcohol for entertainment anymore. At this point in my life, I feel kind of like I have outgrown that scene.However, keeping this in mind, the Butler Inn has always been very clean, very close to home, and somehow I feel like I am going to be immuned to the drunks and drama that I have been exposed to (and at times been the reason for). Lol!I was able to go in in the early afternoon, and purchase cigarettes. Then the bartender was nice enough to give me a roll of quarters for my laundry. I have ordered food here a time or two before, and I have always been pleased!One more thing, I must give a hand to the new owners! Hopefully Irvington is giving yall a warm welcome! We are happy to see you fixing up the old bar that is like another neighbor. You are doing great things with the place! The neighborhood will help thrive because of your presence! Thanks again!

The same people that are behind the scenes @ Taps n Dolls, are Rumored to have recently purchased this old place.Due to the facts that I can see: New Expansion in their kitchen, a lot of new neons, drink specials, out-door lighting, & even a butt-hut instead of the old 5 gal. buckets. This seems to be quite a bit of a Face lift for those old, cosy, home town spot! Im impressed! :) Even their menu has expanded extensively!Im betting that anyone could have a great time here, even just sipping seltzer water & chatting up the locals! Can yall tell that I love it & Im right @ home!

The bartender didnt know how to make drinks. I had her make me 3 different drinks and all three didnt get drunk. One was so bad everyone that came with me took a sip and thought it was horrible. I also asked her for 2 different kind of drinks and she said she wasnt good with mix drinks...I wish she would of told us that 3 drinks ago. I could have same that money on drinks that was just wasted and spend it at the other bar we visited. The people there was nice though but will not go back.
