I have been here three times. They have a good selection of heat and eat items. I have tried the shrimp and grits, Gouda mac & cheese, and the banana pudding. All were good in my opinion. I will definitely be back to try something else. They have a small selection of beer and wines. There are meats for purchase. I heard them talking about Thanksgiving and getting your smoked turkey order in early.

Wonderful butcher shop, the staff is always nice and willing to work with you, stock is great, and it’s the only place I can find whole picanha!

My one stop for everything. Steaks, chicken, sausage, sauces, etouffee, bisque, gumbo, sides, beer, etc. You need it, they have it. Twice baked potatoes are the best I’ve ever had. I could just hang out in there for hours. Nick and his entire crew are awesome and the customer service is unmatched. Stop in, you’ll be surprised by the variety of good eats.

I love, Love, LOVE Cajun Cleaver! Nick and his crew are knowledgeable and helpful. The wine selection is well curated, the prepared foods are AMAZING and this is my go to place for meats.

I LOVE this place!! They have the best banana pudding I have ever eaten. We get a frozen or fresh casserole here almost weekly. The staff has always been friendly and helpful...going out of their way to get something I was looking for on kore than a few occasions. I am always happy to support this local business!

Nick and his team do a great job on all their traditional butcher items and the pre-made side dishes, like the squash casserole, are all very good.I picked up a couple of Prime NY Strips this past weekend and they were great.The quality of the meats the Cajun Cleaver carries is top shelf.

Really nice people but did not deliver on that $55 Cajun Turkey. When I called to order I ask do you inject your Turkey in they said oh yes maam we do. ordered the Turkey picked it up got home followed the directions for reheating cut into It it was not Injected at all . The Cajun flavor was only on the skin other than that it was just a plain fried Turkey. No Cajun flavor in the meat at all. I could have done that at home. Very very disappointed

We have never had anything we did not like from the Cajun Cleaver. Their meats are great and we love trying the different sausages they create. When its been a long day and we dont feel like cooking, we stop in and grab some of their delicious premade selections. Everyone who works there is helpful and friendly. We also love that they support other local businesses!

We have always enjoyed Cajun Cleaver for their meat, beer selection, and peanut butter pie (try the pie!). When we had a baby due a few days before Christmas, we ordered all of our sides and dessert from them and it was a big success (and a huge relief!).

Nick and his team do an outstanding job with their catering and his meat and seafood selections are second to none. His cajun creations are the best in Birmingham. I highly recommend Nick and his team.

A wonderful wine selection, and the meat selection is amazing. Cheese straws are a must. I will be trying the Italian Sausage.

Best steaks in town and their hamburger patties are awesome--so much better quality than you can get in a grocery store! Great customer service too. Highly recommend it.

I ordered what I thought would be a 14-16 lb. turkey that turned out to be 7 lb 4 oz. Very disappointed in the false advertising. I even called and asked what size the turkeys were and told 16 lbs. You cannot tell me it loses over 8 lbs cooked. (Thats what I was told when I called. No way! ) Ist and last time Ill buy from your place.

Great locally owned specialty meat and wine shop. Dropped in to pick up filets, sides, charcuterie items and wine for a small group during a short visit to Hoover. Despite it being almost closing time the owner and staff were very attentive and courteous. Ill definitely go back if Im ever again in the area and grilling!

We had lunch catered from Cajun Cleaver yesterday to sample their Thanksgiving menu and it was amazing! The beef brisket was the best I have ever tried and the turkey and sweet potatoes were to die for!

I used them for catering after a funeral. The Turkey sliders, the mousse, cheese cake bites, and appetizers were good. The jambalaya was bland with rubbery meat. Half of the cookies were black from burning.

Great place to explore. They will cut steaks to order, and there is always some new special to try... Wine selection is solid, same for the beers... Great selection of paleo and gluten free options.

I got the Shrimp and Crawfish Fettuccini and it was delicious! I had to crank the heat higher than the directions stated and cook much longer(these are premade, frozen meals), but I will definitely be going to The Cajun Cleaver again. We also had popsicles and they were good as well!

They had pork belly when no one else did. Friendly and helpful staff and great selection!
