Currently most of the Posh storefronts of Kalākaua are empty with closed glass doors. In contrast, a MVP store -The UPS store is open. It is brimming with life and its doors are wide open. Melanie’s skillful expertise is the life blood that makes this store run.She is the chief of operations and provides customer service that exceeds my expectations. The services of this shop is deemed essential but the customer service is above and beyond.

Awful service. completely rude owner. If you own a franchise, please understand what owning a franchise means. You are still UPS. you still need to have good customer service when dealing with a UPS customer. I have had three run ins with the woman running this and each time she is passive agressive and unkind. This last time i went in at 10:00, when she was supposed to be open and she was 10 minutes late opening. She then was rude and unhelpful in finding my package that UPS customer service said was at her store. She has an attitude and should not be in customer service or business at all.

Mail services can be frustrating sometimes. From long lines, limited services, it can easily turn into a stressful situation. This is not the case with this UPS store. Melanie at this UPS store in Waikiki is amazing. She has been very helpful with my needs each time I come in. She takes the time to understand what I need to happen and offers helpful solutions. They are very friendly, customer oriented and always willing to help. It really makes this often stressful part of my day pleasant. 5 stars. I would not hesitate Melanie and this UPS Store location for your mailing needs.

I had some items mailed home during my vacation in Waikiki. I did not pack the box myself but, slightly begrudgingly, let the young gentleman at this store pack my items for me. I just received the box at home today and I am so impressed by the CARE that went into packing my items. Everything was folded nicely, stacked neatly, he even covered a cheap painting I had to ship carefully with paper to protect the other items. I have NEVER had such good service with sending a package home - much better than I could do myself. If you’re like me and don’t want to schlep your souvenirs on the plane ride home, please send them using this UPS store! Thank you so much, I’d give ten stars if I could!!!

CREDIT CARD FRAUD ALERT! I called UPS Corporate office and shared my experience with them. They said this store has multiple malpractice that they will follow up with the shop and do more investigation.Turned out the person who helped me, Melanie, is unfortunately the co-owner of the shop and is very rude, impatient, argumentative and unpleasant. She not only had trouble with entering zip code and address after us repeating it multiple times, but also scammed us and put additional charges on our credit card claiming its taxes.After verifying with UPS corporate office, the only actual shipping charge on the receipt is only $33.45. I recognize the $0.5 for packing materials. However, I do not recognize what the other 2 charges totaling $10.95 are for. When quoting us the price, all that Melanie told us was $34 plus $12 taxes. When we questioned it sounds high, she said:Oh, its very expensive to ship things out of Hawaii. She did not mention those two charges at all in our conversation. This is FRAUD. I will dispute with my credit card company.After we gave her our stuff and when we were leaving, she gave us the receipt along with a shipping label. We ended up returning to the store and packing our own stuff as we do not trust her with our stuff based on our interaction. When done packing and asked her for a shipping label to put on the box, she said: I gave it to you earlier. I then realized she gave the shipping label to me when we were about to leave earlier. That left me the question that how would she be able to retrieve the correct shipping label had we not returned?!?!? Very disorganized and such a disaster! DO. NOT. GO.

Everything about this UPS store is TERRIFIC! the location is right in the middle of Waikiki in the center of Kalakaua avenue and it is in a well known major hotel - the OUTRIGGER on the street level right before you reach the well known DUKES restaurant so it is extremely easy to find. but the biggest plus is the store owner/manager Melanie. she is absolutely FIVE STAR on friendliness, helpfulness, competence, knowledge and all other aspects of customer care. best of all her personality is extremely agreeable and likable. in short this is five star for sure!

Expect to pay a premium markup for doing business at this location. Youll pay dearly for the convenience of being in the Waikiki area. There is another location less than two miles away, with better service and more reasonable pricing. Its worth the extra drive to go there.

Very convenient location. I use UPS stores across the nation for my business. I don’t appreciate fees that should be a part of customer service. I understand fees for boxes, packing etc but at this store I was asked if I brought my own tape. I have never been charged for a piece of tape to secure the top of the box. I have been to over 100 UPS stores nationwide. When a $2 fee was more important than repeat business, a business is not destined for success. What ever happened to customer service?

Really convenient location for Waikiki customers. Also open 7 days a week, which is nice! Melanie does a great job providing excellent customer service. This is my go to place when I need a package delivered in a hurry. Thanks Melanie!🙂👌

I wanted to comment on my experience here. I came in Monday evening Jun 18th. I had called several companies about my packaging and shipping need and everyone else said they could not do it. I called this UPS store and they said they could so I went there. I could not have been more pleased. This store had exceptional customer service! I brought in a shelving system which I needed to box to ship with very specific dimension requirements. The 2 guys working there went out of their way to package it for me while I waited. While they were doing my job, people came in and out of the store for various things and they were just as gracious and helpful with everyone. Cannot recommend them enough. Great aloha spirit here!

Absolutely trash. The systems they have in place are the opposite of accommodating. The drivers aren’t aloud to notify a customer when they are trying to deliver which is the first issue. When you live in an apartment building and need a security key to get into the building the driver wont deliver. When you ask to get it delivered to a ups store it will take them 2 business days to do so in order for you to pick up at a ups location. When you try and call customer service to try and get your package sent to the main hub they also can’t help you. As a whole ups failed. So much for 2 day shipping. Thanks ups. Never utilizing your services again. Absolutely horrific.

Everyone that works there is so helpful and so nice. I oftentimes pay extra for shipping with UPS just because the store is in a convenient location and the staff is always so pleasant.

Use this store each time we are in Honolulu. Staff is friendly and the store is conveniently located to our hotel. Takes a worry off my mind that our gifts and mementoes are safe and delivered timely and accurately. Mahalo Melanie

I had international package and I wanted to send to my family where live in Japan. The men who worked there helped me how to ship there kindly and nicely. I would love to use there again! Also the location was good becaus it is was the middle of the Waikiki. It was less people than Seratoga branch.

I had to ship a vacuum back to mainland on the companys corporate account. The insanely rude lady behind working here informed she doesnt do corporate accounts. This is the 2nd time I went to this location, and both times I was treated very poorly. Also her prices for copying and printing are ridiculous. Tourist trap UPS store, thats all it is.

The worker didnt show up to open the store and when they finally showed up they where over 20 minutes late and they were not even the least bit apologetic.
