Great little ice cream shop. While they do have your standard vanilla and chocolate, I love that they have really unique flavors as well.I tried the Hibiki whiskey. They nailed it. You taste all the same subtle notes you would when sipping the whiskey, which is probably very difficult to keep those subtle flavors after the cream is added.For sure Ill be going back to try another flavor.

Micro-creamery with some interesting flavors. I really liked the Habiki flavored ice cream (it does contain alcohol). Our waffle was undercooked but the batter tasted good so I can see how it would be tasty. Grab a scoop and cool off on a hot Hawaii day.

They served me ice cream that was frost bitten, and had the gull to tell me thats how it suppose to be, keep in mind this is like my 10th time getting ice cream here, definitely not how it was suppose to be. After I notice the issue first bite in, I turn around for exchange, the guy had a viscious attitude about replacing it. I told him to spoon a scoop and taste and he look at me as if he dont need to know. I told him can he simply replace the cone and ice cream, lets not act like a scoop and cone is worth gold here, he making profit. So whats the big deal in replacing a supporting customer/consumer of goods, priceless. But he didnt want to. Wont go back thats for sure. If you dont value your customer, I dont want to be a part of your success.

Ice cream shop has original ice cream flavors, I bought whiskey and rum. Flavors not strong, just a bit. 2 scoops + waffle con = $9.

The homemade waffle cone is AMAZING with the ice cream. Best waffle cone experience by far! I will be coming back again on my next Hawaii trip!

This ice-cream is AMAZING!!! One of the best ice-creams I’ve ever eaten. We got the spéculos cookie which apparently is their best seller in a waffle cone and that Ice cream was so soft and just out of this world delicious. I don’t like cones in general and I normally don’t get one because they usually charge extra and they are not worth it, but BOY don’t make this mistake here, their waffle cones is just as good as their ice-cream and it just goes well with it!The only downside for me was that they don’t let you choose two flavors for a single scoop and a two scoops for me is just too much. Define going back here to try all their flavors.

Came for an after dinner dessert and waited...and waited...and waited (Im talking 30 minutes for 3 ice cream cups, 4 scoops & 4 flavors). Poor girl had to scoop and do the register alone as an older gentleman was behind the glass appearing to control the TV and radio, making waffles as needed even though I had only seen a couple people actually order a waffle cone. I know she was trying her hardest that night so I dont fault her but the excessive wait/environment really down played the total experience because the flavors were enjoyable - malted vanilla was my favorite! In total we had tried two vanilla varieties and two coffee varieties. This ice cream is pricey so I did have slightly higher expectations than an ordinary Baskins. Ill definitely visit again and hope for a better experience!

The best ice cream I ever had in this place

In a town with so many delicious dessert options, this one stands out. I got a cone of Honey Macadamia. Butterfly Ice cream is delicious and freshly made in the back of this cute little shop in an up and coming trendy part of Honolulu. For adults, they’re always experimenting with new flavors, today’s was English Toffee Weller: Wheated Bourbon Ice Cream.

They were closed when I first got there but by the time we had eaten lunch they had opened.There are only a couple of flavors and they must rotate some out as I didnt see some that were featured in other reviews Ive seen.For us we got a single scoop of ice cream in Kona Coffee. I fortunately they hadnt had time to prep any waffle come so it was just in a cup but its all good.Anyway the ice cream was very flavorful! Some of the best kona coffee ice cream Ive had. They also give a very generous scoop into that cup and its nicely frozen which is something I like for ice cream vs the soft type. Make no mistake though the ice cream is creamy and so full of flavor.Cant wait to get back and try other flavors and that fresh made waffle cone!

Was served 2 $9 frost bitten ice cream cones here and realized it with the first spoon simply asked to exchanged them the owner was very rude said that’s how it’s supposed to be we have come here before and it definitely wasn’t like that he refused to swap them out for some strange reason

Locally made fresh ice cream like the flavors served up at Butterfly Ice Cream easily beats down the big names like Baskins and even Ben and Jerry. Butterfly may not have 31 flavors but the ones they do have (up to twelve) are quality like coconut, brownie batter, bourbon, mac nut, and mango. It’s the perfect place to stop for dessert after a meal.

My first time enjoying their creamy treats and won’t be the last! I chose the black sesame ice cream which reminded me of the goma ice cream I had in Japan and could never find again, until now. My daughter chose a cup of brownie batter and it disappeared quickly while I barely broke into my yummy crispy waffle cone. Each regular sized scoop ($5 tax included) has a choice of cup or waffle cone.Prior to choosing my flavor, I was offered a sample taste and was impressed to be given a sample on a non-disposable silver spoon! Biggest problem a customer will have is choosing a flavor or two.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ a small little hole in the wall place at Salt in Kakaako, they serve delicious ice cream flavors!!! the one pictured on the right is a Brownie Batter milkshake. it is sooooo good!!!! and on the left is an Irish Coffee milkshake. my bf loves it!! the milkshakes are the perfect amount of thickness and very creamy. i dont have a hard time drinking it, yet its not thin like water. anyways, you pick any flavor of ice cream you want and they make it into a milkshake ($8). or you could just have a scoop of ice cream in a cup or a fresh-made waffle cone ($5 regular scoop)! the guys are very nice 👍🏼wed definitely recommend this place!!!

The waffles were to die for. Light and fluffy with the right amount of crispy crust. Goes so well with the richly flavoured ice creams. So creamy, not overly sweet and really packed a punch with the flavours. The whiskey and speculoos flavours were just delightful. I was so pleasantly surprised by the laidback little store. Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted in my life!! Don’t miss it!

This place is a must. The owner makes different flavors and the ice cream is made fresh daily. You can actually view it being made in store. Its so good I went back to back. I dont think I want to try a different ice cream shop after this!

I tend to like more traditional sweet flavors (chocolates, vanillas, caramels, etc.) over fruit based or wacky trendy flavors. I can always find something I like here and the staff has always been quick and friendly.

Oh so ono! I tried a champagne mimosa and went back a few days later to try the watermelon shochu, but they had rotated their flavors. So I tried their malted vanilla which was a hit! Since they change their flavors, guess Ill just have to keep going back - not a problem! Love that they are open until 9:00.

Ice cream and artisan wafer of very good quality. The workshop looks and the smell of wafer is very good. A bit expensive compared to prices in Europe, for example.
