I needed my vehicle state inspection done. The office person was very friendly, knowledgeable & accommodating. A few minor things were needed to pass inspection. He communicated with me before doing the work. In my opinion the price was very reasonable.

I went to tune up plus 3 times for my car overheating. First, I want to say Hunter is a really nice guy and also very professional. I’m just really disappointed that I got a rental car and also my car looked at 3 times and it’s still running hot and my antifreeze is still leaking out! Each time I went there I spent more money, which I didn’t mind because I wanted my car fixed. They told me I should be fine but this has been a total inconvenience to my life. I spent over $1,200 with them and would at least expect for the antifreeze to stop leaking out and my car to stop running hot. I have the same issues I’m having with my car before I took it to them, if not worse because the antifreeze is leaking out like crazy. I’m very disappointed because it made my life harder because I’m now $1,200 in the hole and still have to get my car fixed and to stop running hot. They fixed my brakes good but my main reason for going there was to stop the overheating. It’s such an inconvenience and unfortunate because I was expecting for good results especially since the customer service was really good and they are nice people. I’m truly not happy about this, my car is still running hot I have to put antifreeze in it every other day just so I can get back and forth to work and to take my kids to school and daycare. I took off time from work, got a rental car and some more just to be in the same situation. I wanted them to do my inspection but I think I’ll go elsewhere. I was referred to another place to fix my car for overheating so hopefully this will be over soon. I don’t have money to be throwing away and that’s what I felt like I did, unfortunately.

Hunter was so polite and helpful. I don’t really know much about cars. However, he talked me through things that are important to get done now and things that could wait. Elvis, was so fast with the inspection! He is awesome!

I had a great experience at this shop. Hunter worked me into a busy schedule and got my state inspection done. They did not try to up-sell me a bunch of work but did list things that were recommended, without any pressure, which I appreciated. I would visit again.

In my case, I put my car in for a State Inspection before 8 am and had it back home by 10:30 am. No over-hyped pressure for the suggested service maintenance. My budget allows me to get one maintenance thing done a month. To that end they break down with the suggested maintenance and a price so I can tackle it as my budget time frame allows. I read up on all the reviews before picking this shop as my new state inspection station. Honest and reasonable. Definitely my recommendation destination for friends and family. Hunter appears to be running a good shop. If youre searching for a good one, give them a visit. Other reviews led me here and I wasnt disappointed.

Was the second person there for an inspection 8am had an appointment told me they couldnt get to it till 1pm at earliest .......... Not to mention the Rudeness of the Counter Person ...... THE RATING IS NEGATIVE-5This review is coming from a place of concern.....In my initial call I told the men at Tune Up Plus that “My truck is NOT driving past 25 and shakes really bad if you try to go past the 25 mph!” I asked them to DRIVE MY TRUCK AND SEE WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT PLEASE? They agreed too but instead they put it on the machine, saw what it said and fixed that problem. I had informed them about a month ago I had FORD fix a coil and two weeks later it down shifted to 25 and shook bad again.Well after taking my ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS to fix something the machine said was wrong I picked my truck up and it drove wonderful for a whole fifteen miles! Then all of a sudden right back to downshifting and 25mph, so I pulled over quickly at Wawa on Harpersville Road and parked my truck.They offered their tow truck guy to come get it the next day for $75.00 but I didn’t feel my truck would be safe where it was located, so I had my guys come get it........This the second $100 for towing I had to pay to take it back to the Tune Up Plus after just leaving there not even thirty minutes ago! And giving them $1000 dollars of my money why did I have to pay anyways?The next day no one got to my truck because they proclaimed they didn’t know my truck was outside, BUT I CALLED THE SHOP TO LET YOU KNOW ITS COMING BACK TO THE SHOP! The tow truck driver left my truck on side of building where employees park and they proclaim they did not see it? Either way it was on your lot after I called you and told you I was sending it back! So my truck did not get looked at until I called that afternoon checking to see what the diagnosis was then I was told he was about to get it in the bay.Come to find out it is a whole other problem that’s gonna cost me an additional 400 to 600 dollars! I refuse to pay anything additional!I made a deal with the “Owner” to just have my truck towed back to me to have someone else look at it! I waited a whole day for a tow truck that never came WHY IT DID NOT COME? The “Owner” saw my Google Review and REFUSED to pay for the tow til I REMOVED THE NEGATIVE REVIEW???????I REMOVED THE INITIAL REVIEW TO INCLUDE EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED!!!!!! So I had my tow guy go pick it up on my own dime because YOU DONT TELL ME WHAT TO SAY OUT OF MOUTH!I am rating this review a 5 but it’s a NEGATIVE FIVE FROM ME! Plus word of mouth is worst than Google reviews plus the BBB HAS BEEN NOTIFIED AS WELL!Now I’m going to Hampton Courts to file A civil suit and I promise I will get some satisfaction for this nightmare of a situation!

I went in for a State Inspection and was told I would be rejected unless I allowed them to replace my turn signal bulbs ($280+) because the were flashing white. My bulbs were amber and could be seen from 20-30 feet or more away. The desk clerk (Hunter) told me normally customers get the work done for convenience. I declined and my vehicle was rejected. I returned to the shop (without replacing the bulbs) within 15 days. The vehicle passed and probable because I threatened to have the State Police meet me at the shop for them to explain the him why the vehicle failed. Needless to say they the inspector (Elvis Wright) passed my vehicle. The bottom line to this review is to warn you to not to take these crooks at their word cause they could lie and steal your money!

I was do for inspection I went to about six different shops and was turned away do to the shops being booked. I stopped in tune up plus and just my luck hunter worked me in I had two in front of me and I was third in line. I was in and out in a decent time condsidering every shop wanted me to drop my car off. I must say hunter is very down to earth with great customer service, this car repair shop is not like most where they just like give me your keys by and have a nice day. Hunter took his time and mad sure the recommendations I needed on my car was highlighted with a price and explain and no pressure to get it done that day. Thank you

Took vehicle in at 8am for (1st come, 1st serve) inspection as instructed by service manager. Vehicle was not ready until 3pm. Areas within my driver compartment were stained with dirt/oil (Im assuming from the technicians arms/hands). I called service manager but was just offered an apology for my inconvenience......Ive never given any negative comments or feedback in a review, but this business is unprofessional.

Shorter wait time for a car inspection than Treadquarters could get me in for. So i ended up waiting with my child. With still 2 people ahead of me i like that they took my vehicle in first because of the circumstance that i was the only one of us actually there (and having a child with me). So that was great. My inspection was done thoroughly and I was out in almost no time after that! Thank you for doing a great job with what I needed and I will be back! Tech Elvis and Hunter were both great!

As a customer myself that was very very wonderful to experience. James the mechanic did a very good job on my vehicle and i will definitely come back for more services done to my vehicle. Wonderful establishment kind, courteous, and fresh coffee.

Tune Up Plus staff professional, friendly, and efficient. January 2nd was a busy morning for state inspections and the manager promised my wait time was two hours and it was exact. Great place and I saw him working with patrons to make sure they receive the financing (if needed) for repairs on their vehicles.

Super speedy service. Two cars two oil changes 1.5 hours. I didn’t even have an appointment. Always great service when I come in. I can tell they know what they’re doing.

I had an appointment at 8am for a tuneup. I should have knew something was off because the price that he quoted me and the price on the board were different. After waiting for some time I was told they were waiting for a part to come to finish it. I asked was the original price the bottom line from the beginning and he assured me it was. Then he told me they had to use parts that cost more but gave it to me for the original quoted price. They also told me some other things needed to be fixed in addition to the 400 dollar tune up.2 hours later the guy with the part showed up. Another hour later of waiting, I was told the part did not fit and it was being returned. They acted as though they could carless that I was there for 6 hours.Very unprofessional and overpriced. I will never come here again not even for an oil change.

I had a terrible experience there today. It started with them being unable to proceed until I provided the exact model and body style of a GMC Sierra. If you know anything about vehicles or work in the mechanics trade you should know that if the customer isnt particular then all you need is the truck make and engine size to determine the oil capacity. Or if you run a shop that changes oil as a primary business you dont harass your customer demanding that they get their registration to provide you the exact specific details of the truck...you just change the oil.Then they demanded my personal information, address and phone number. I do not give out my personal information without cause, I value my privacy. The manager insisted that he could not proceed until I gave him my personal details. I refused and was informed that they couldnt do the work unless I gave up my personal details.I paid with a groupon which they redeemed but I received no services for my payment.I will NEVER visit any Tune Up Plus again and will share my experience as far and wide as I can.EDIT:You do not need my personal information to conduct a transaction with me. Demanding this of your customers is an invasion of privacy. It is not legal for you to deny services to anyone just on the grounds that they do not want to share their personal information.

I came into Tune up Plus and I needed my car repaired and I didnt have the money.They customer service was informative and very fast.I set up a payment plan and the mechanics fixed the problem and got me back on the road.I recommend this business to anyone.Its a small business but effective.Its get overlooked but YOU should try it.I love it.

This place used to always be my go to place I was always in and out and they used to have a female receptionist who was awesome and always took care of me l, and explained issues about my car even more thoroughly than the mechanic. And as a female I appreciated it. But now she’s not there anymore and ever since I have had issues with this place. So the first one was in February of this year I made an appointment for a Saturday morning oil change, my boyfriend took the car because I was at work, he calls me and says they can’t do it to come back another time, so what’s the point of them “accepting” appointments that was the first one. The second one was today April 20th I made an appointment for 2 o clock I got off work at 1pm and decided to just go straight there, when I walked out my car I was headed inside when a guy asked me what service are you Trying to get I said an oil change he shook his head and said I can’t do it today, I told him no I have an appointment, then he says oh if you have an appointment that’s fine. If you were a professional you would’ve asked that first. Okay so then he asked me what oil I just told him the make and model of my car I had a idea but wasn’t quite sure so I told him I came here before for the same car so you can look it up, because if you were a professional you would’ve asked that also, anyway so he says it takes OW20 he said it would be 79.99 I’m like what? So I told him the last time I came it was 38 dollars and he asks was a female working here I was like I don’t know I wasn’t here so he keeps on saying well on my screen it says you take this oil so I’m like let me go get the receipt to make sure, so I get it out my car and yes it was 38.12 I showed it to him and he says they put 5W30 in your car, so I’m like okay so your still in the wrong because your mechanics don’t know what there doing. So I said I will take it elsewhere that place isn’t worth 70 dollars when they don’t know what the word appointment or professional means. So I call back to ask what the corporate phone number is and he says I don’t want you to be upset I can do it for 49.99 ... please like that’s any better despite one not knowing what oil goes into cars and this run around thing they do with appointments. I rather take my business elsewhere and I told him I would come back and no I didn’t so you can wait on me like I’ve waited on them so many times. And I will call there corporate or whoever his boss is to make a complaint.

BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I went in to get my tire rod ends replaced and brakes replaced. They told me I didnt need tire rod ends. I needed wheel hub bearings, Rotors. and brakes. Paid $999.37. I hear a loud noise coming from my car and it gets worse on the interstate. Turns out they ordered the parts from the supplier but never put them on my vehicle. The new mechanic showed me the parts and told me these were the original parts that i had on my vehicle before I went in for repair. I had to have everything redone by another mechanic. The hub bearings, rotors, and brakes . Tuneup plus ended up with my money and my parts. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. THEY WILL NOT FIX YOUR VEHICLE. BEWARE.
