Not only open and honest, but really nice people. I went in for an alignment and my ball joint snapped with one of the technicians in the car while on the alignment lift and they did everything they could to give me the best and quickest service they could, even topping off my brake fluid. They sent me pictures of the vehicle on the lift and suggested that I replace more than I could afford but figured out what I would be safe to replace at a later time when I had more money saved up. (Control arms were just okay but still need to be replaced soon) I really appreciate an honest auto shop because I’m sure everyone has been to a shop where they try to pull the wool over your eyes. Thank you! I will absolutely be back again!

The service at Peninsula Tire and Auto is always the best! I drop my car off. The shuttle takes me where I need to go. The shuttle picks me up when my car is ready. SIMPLE!! The service desk and mechanics are always patient, courteous and professional. Highly recommended!!

Had 4 Cooper touring tires put on my wifes van. Very satisfied with the tires. Peninsula Tire and Auto, not so much. Cooper has a spring rebate going for a 60 dollar rebate. When I looked at the receipt no where does it say the type or model tires I bought. I tried to get them to correct this, but they told me they cannot modify a closed ticket and just mail it in. Well guess what? Cooper did not accept the receipt and rejected my rebate. I called the shop again, same girl answers and basically says there is nothing she can do. But, if I call the company, give them her number and she will tell them what type of tires I purchased. I asked to speak to the manager, that was over a day ago, still no call, still no rebate. I would recommend you run from these people as fast as humanly possible.UPDATE: after talking with both managers, the problem is being resolved by giving me a check for the rebate. Good response once the first line of defense had been breached. Would highly recommend that they print all information on receipts not only for instances like this, but also for warranty problems that may arise further down the road. I am raising rating from 2 stars to 4 for the good response.

Worst service I have ever had. I payed to have my car fixed. Had to bring it back in less than a week a FOR THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. They made me pay for another diagnostic because they missed the problem the first time around. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE, unless you want to throw good money after bad.They do not stand behind their work nor their warranty!

Lazy!!!! I was told my car would be diagnosed within a hour. They NEVER ONCE called me in 26 hours! I called repeatedly only to get attitudes from the staff. I threatened to take my car back and they were okay with that. Not like most successful business that wants the customer to be satisfied. I arrive to pick it up and my car is lifted in the air with everyone around it not touching my car still!! RUDE, LAZY, AND NOT REALLY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT TO MUCH OF NOTHING!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!

Worst service!!!! They make you put a star down to post it should be a zero.I dropped my car off 8:30 this morning to get inspection, oil change, tires rotation. I knew it would take a couple hours no big deal. These are all services they say you dont need a appointment for. So at around 11:30 we call to check on car the young lady said the inspector was at lunch it would be ready by 1pm. Sounds great we show up at 1:45 and our car is still sitting out front where we parked it. This is just poor service at best. You have a car for 5 hours to do a hour to hour and a half job and never touched it. After talking to service manager he said he could do right now it would take 45 minutes.They will never see me again best of luck to everyone else I recommend find someone else.

I am not sure what happened with the reviewers who rated this shop lower than 5 stars because I have always received great service. I bring all of my cars here. They have the knowledge base to cover all kinds of cars. I had an electrical problem on a 1964 Impala where my fuses would constantly blow killing my head and tail lights. No one would touch it but when I took it to PTA they not only took on the job, but the fixed the issue. They have done all of the maintenance on my 96 Impala (still own), 2007 Commander, 2007 TC, 2010 Ram 1500, 2013 Ram 1500 (still own), 2016 Tahoe (still own), 2008 Sentra (still own). I have taken family and friends here to have work done as well. The staff is super friendly, Mr. Alex is a really nice guy and Donna Meeks is hands down the best service representative I have ever delth with. Donna is the sweetest person and goes out of her way to make her customers happy. She has always taken care of me as well as my family and friends. She is very knowledgable, super honest and will not suggest work that you dont need. She will always try to find you the best deal on parts and tires. I love her to death. I have been living in Hampton since 2000 and this is by far the best shop. There are not many places in the area that can work on a multitude of cars no matter the year, make, or model. I highly suggest this shop and and if you have the opportunity to work with Donna you will not be disappointed.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place is the absolute worst!! They cant find the simplest problems and they take forever. I will never bring my vehicle again being that they try to charge an arm and a leg for NOTHING. The service is also very poor compared to the Pomoco Nissan service station on W Mercury Blvd.

They dont use a tourque wrench just an impact. They also use steel wheel weights on aluminum rims and dont change out your valve stems.
