Wonderful historical sandwich shop. Delicious sandwiches lots of variety. Great places to eat and rest. Shakes and malts were perfect. Like a slice of history to enjoy with the family. Must stop! And try a few!

Not for everyone but I like it. Loose meat sandwiches are good. I can eat about 3 or 4 at a time. Milk shakes are good. There is almost always a wait for the drive thru

Everytime I am in town I have to make a stop here for some cheese-maid-rites. The meat tastes great. Also the milk shakes are super thick how I like. The drive-thru now has 2 lanes so you get through the line much faster. Be sure to chew some gum and stick it on the building while you are there! I highly recomend if you are ever nearby to give this a try.

I love this small town wonder known as Maid-Rites. Theyve perfected such a simple burger and milkshake. Im originally from Clayton and we used to drive the 40 minutes to come here just for a burger and a shake.The milkshakes are always super thick and the burgers are flawless.No frills, no outrageous proportions; just a perfectly done, pebbled beef burger with cheese, pickles, and mustard.As I write this, I live in Oregon. As soon as I arrived in Dayton, I got in a vehicle and came straight to Greenville for one of my favorite places to eat in Ohio, maybe even the entire country.UPDATE 4 DAYS LATER: as I said, Im in town for business and am visiting here as much as I can. Been here 3x times, just this week. It isnt just me that loves this place; check out the photo I just uploaded of the drive thru line going DOWN THE STREET!MAID-RITES IS LIFE+...and yes, I will be there a few more times whilst here.2x cheese burgers and a chocolate milkshake is A+Thee, yes thee, thickest shakes around and always flavorful.

This place had the best sandwiches Ive had in a long time. Of course, for it to be the very best it can be, you need to have everything on it. Cheese included. Make sure you grab anything else that suits your fancy. I promise you; its worth the trip. Ill be making more trips out here in the future.

Best loose meat sandwich Ive found and the milk shakes are so thick. Plus u can stick your gum on the outside of the building 🤷‍♀️😂

We love Maid-Rites!!!! My family has been going for many years and I can honestly say they are just as delicious as they were 45+ years ago. We buy them by the dozens and get a variety of them. The second drive thru is great and we only waited 10 minutes for our food. The milkshakes are unbeatable also. I recommend everyone to get Maid-Rites and enjoy!!!!

Food was good...giving grace to the employee @ the drive thru window. He came across either rude, or autistic. It was my first time there, and I didnt see a menu, or know their normal ordering process, etc. When I asked a question the response could be interpreted as rude/condescending or a response from a highly functional autistic 18+ young man.I choose grace...

Delicious... Fatty but amazing... Yummy... The young male cashier was a bit flighty but the patience and good spirit made up for it all. The sandwich is quite yummy. Basically it is well seasoned loose beef. with mustard, pickle and the option of cheese on a bun. I was a bit apprehensive about it at first but the line out the door and parking lot says it all! All the way from TN Id come back just for maid rite! Oh yea the malts and shakes are amazing as well!

My wife has been raving about Maid-Rite for years. Today we stopped by, now I know why.An american classic ya gotta try!! Ill be back the next time we intentionally go out of our way to come here. A five or more hour detour is worth it!

I have NEVER had a bad meal at this place. I think they should keep the second drive through open. That waswhat kept them open thru this virus. I thought it worked out pretty well. This place should be on the HISTORICAL SOCIETYS top 10 BEST in the country

This was my first experience so I tried a Maid-Rite, a cheese-rite, and a big Jim. It was a good experience and the burgers were great. Pretty awesome spot. And if you havent been here I suggest you make some time to stop in.

I have to drive 45 minutes to get there and 45 minutes to get home but I love the food enough that I have to make the trip!

What can I say that already has not been said? I love made-rites and stop every time I go up home. I brought some back to my friend in Cincinnati Service is fast and friendly. I would suggest a peanut butter shake. I have never had anything like it. Delicious!!

Burgers were worth the 95 minute drive each way. Husband cant wait to go back. Try the shakes too@

Had not had a Maid-Rite since they early 70s in Illinois... Was so happy to have them - but a few in our cooler to take to my 91 year old mother too! They are awesome!

Quick, efficient, yummy. Its just something you do when in the area. Simple menu, but that means what they do, they do well. Cars always lined up on the street, but line moves fast.

Maidrite is delicious ! And my chocolate shake was the best that I ever had. Friendly staff and just an overall wonderful lunchtime experience.Great place to get a great meal !

3 generations of my family have been coming here ever since we were young. It was always tradition to come here before the great darke county fair. The sandwiches are unmatched, nothing compares. Driving an hour to this place is well worth it. Happened to be in Greenville today and was able to grab some on my way home.

First time ever they messed up my order in 50 plus years. I ordered 2 dbl cheese Rites with everything and bag of chips, and my cousins ordered 3 dbl cheese rites and two shakes, and I paid for all. We got three dbls,no cheese,2 shakes and a bag of chips. I wasnt charged for the two missing sammiches, but still kinda disappointed. 50 plus years. Still love me some Maid Rites. All is good!

They have great hamburgers! The only thing I cant figure out is why they decided to build in the boonies.

Really wish they had dine in. Cant even get a beer in the drive-thru. Haha Love made right drove over an hour to get one.

Very tasty sandwiches. I recommend the cheeseburger sandwich. 2 drive through open but no dine in. Be prepared to wait. Pro tip: order more than 1 sandwich per person

As of Sept 2021, they have two drive thru lanes only, where you can place your order then wait for food before parking and eating outside. Really good loose meat sandwiches, nice shady, covered picnic-style tables, and limited hard surface parking for motorcycles.

This place is unique. Chances are if youre going, youve been here before.

Best in the business. It is a mandatory stop any time we are in, or passing through Greenville.

It opened at 11 am we got in the drive thru line at 1050. Our first stop after coffee. Wish we had one in Nv.

Always been a favorite. They done a really good job with the outdoor dining ( mid rite park) with lots of nice picnic tables under a huge awning. I wouldve given them 5 stars but theres much less meat on the sandwiches and they cost twice as much as they used to be but I guess thats everywhere now days. Still always delicious though!

Talked to some young man today and they are still forced to wear mask. Even after the mask mandate was lifted. He was sweating and said it was so hot. This place should be fined for doing this. No problems with the food

Amazing sandwich. Looks a little plain but it sure is flavorful. Any time we are in the area we stop for a sandwich. The gum wall is good for a laugh also.

My girlfriends family is from Greenville and introduced me to this wonderful, unique shop. We sat in one of the two drive thru lines for only about 5 minutes to get our order including a couple of delicious shakes. I am sure anyone seeing this already knows how great Maid-Rite is, but if you are just now stumbling upon this gem, dont pass up the opportunity for amazing food that will satisfy any hunger. (Also great to bring a sack home for leftovers, they keep well!)

I give only 2 stars, not in disrespect because this place is a landmark and tradition. I dont eat that kind of flesh meat, my girlfriend does. We went there conveniently being in the area and my better half loves the sandwiches. I was hungry too. Too my AMAZEMENT they have eggsalad sandwiches. Yes OMG their was an option for me. But when we got them to my disappointment there was loosemeat all around my bun and sticking to the edges of my eggsalad. Clearly it was a line cook miss-hap to where using the same gloves or flinging meat everywhere it cross contaminated my sandwich. I did not eat it even tho it looked good. I was sad but knowing how situation can be I wont let it deter me from trying again. Im just grateful there was other options.

Forgot my chips. After they corrected that mistake, went home and noticed they took my order wrong and we didnt have enough food to go around. The price is slightly high for the size of the sandwiches. However my biggest disappointment was the overall taste. When I moved to Greenville I was told the majority of the born and raised locals and those over 45yrs old love this place. Those that do not fill those 2 requirements find the to be overrated. Unfortunately this 40yr old Chicago raised guy was disappointed. As was my Dayton, Ohio visitors.

On our way to Fort Wayne, Indiana for one of our grandsons birthday. Since coming from Lexington, Kentucky I had to bring my hubby to Greenville, Ohio to the Maid-Rite Sandwich Shoppe (est. 1934) for their famous sandwich!!!! He enjoyed it!Currently no dine in area, but both drive thru lanes are busy!!!It also brought back a fond memory of Aunt Margaret and I coming here years ago. We stood in line for about 20 minutes just to get our sandwiches. We sat in her car, enjoyed our sammiches and chatted.If you are in the area you should stop by.... I also got their milkshake today and it is thick and yummy.

This place is always busy. The employees are always smiling and courteous. Great service. Food is always on point. Love coming here!!

The menu is pretty short and simple. They have quite a system going especially when things get really busy. Its not unusual to hear them calling out orders for 50 sandwiches or just 6 sandwiches but theyre all served in a timely manner from the tiny kitchen area. You can often expect to wait a few minutes for your order and be flexible; you may not get a table so be prepared to take the bag to the car or just keep watching for a table to open. Most people seem pretty aware that there are others waiting for the tables, so they tend to eat and go. Dont expect the Ritz here. Its a simple place and pretty old, but it is clean and well kept. The service at the counter is straight to the point and efficient. Theyre happy to answer your questions but dont expect a conversation.

I love Maid-Rite! Staff is very polite and work hard to get all orders correct and quick. I love the way they take your order and have you pull forward and bring the food out to your vehicle. Makes the line go quicker.
