This is the first time I have tried somewhere to get my haircut since I have moved to Greenville about a year ago and the very first time I have ever let somebody trim my beard besides myself out of about the 10 years of growing one. I can say that for as long as I live here Michael Brandon Styling is the only place that I will be going for a haircut and now beard trims. When Iived in Greenville a year ago, this was my go to place to come get a haircut. Michael always gave a great cut and great conversation. The salon itself has a great atmosphere and vibe, with great music always playing.A bit pricier than some other barbershops in town, but 100% worth it.

As a woman who prefers having short hair, it’s really refreshing to find someone so precise and perfect in cutting it. Michael makes sure all the edges are crisp and clean and really tailors the cut to match your hair type. I’ve been to several different stylists in Greenville and he’s the only one I trust to cut my hair. His shop is super welcoming and he’s really easy and fun to talk with.

Michael is extremely talented! Today was the first time I met him and after about 2 minutes of being there, my wife and I felt like we knew this guy for years. Beautiful shop and really chill environment. Michael combines modern styles and technics with the old school ART FORM of barbers from generations ago. It may sound a little cliche, but a lot of what he does, is really a lost art. He doesnt just use a straight razor on the back of your neck, just so he can say he uses a straight razor. He uses a straight razor around your ears, all the way around your neck, side burns, beard, hair lines, face, and part! He doesnt rush, so he can get as many people in his chair as possible like most places. He is a real perfectionist. He isnt your ordinary barber doing haircuts. This is a master craftsman that is passionate about his craft. Trust me, this guy is the REAL DEAL, and worth every penny. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent!!! My hair is super fine and doesnt grow quickly at all, plus I dye it a lot. Michael did such an amazing job with it; he is extremely talented and knew exactly what my damaged, flat hair needed to look its best! I was so pleased with his skills and my cut. So I had been waiting to get a haircut from Michael for a while now, and boy Im glad I did! Best haircut Ive ever gotten in Greenville. I love the 1-on-1 interaction: he only sees 1 client at a time and I never felt that he was rushed to get to the next appointment or that he was annoyed trying to fit me in (as you can sometimes tell at the bigger salons). Rather, he was totally tuned in on me and what I was looking for. He is super easy to talk to and I enjoyed hearing his story of finding his passion for cutting hair, how he came from a family of barbers, and how much he truly cares about his local community/ the positive impact that he can have in the rapidly evolving Dickinson Ave district of Greenville. His salon used to be an old barber shop and he even has the old fashioned barber chair! I would give him 5 stars already, but I still havent touched on just how great the haircut was - he is meticulous and obviously skilled at his craft and you can tell that he takes pride in a job well done. I have medium/longish thick straight hair that had taken on a very unkempt messy look. I was almost always wearing a hat 24/7... I told him what I was looking for and he helped me turn my mop it into exactly the look I wanted yet was previously unable to achieve at my past hair cuts in Greenville. Just when I thought he was done, I was going to comment that certain areas (the sides and back of my head) get super poofy when dry - but he already knew and started thinning those areas before I could say a thing. I felt like he had been my hair stylist for years! Needless to say, I am not wearing a hat today and look forward to seeing him in the future. 10/10 would recommend

Being new in town and finding a good place to get a haircut can be challenging, especially in smaller towns and cities. Michael took care of me and took the time to explain how my hair grows and why he was cutting it certain ways that had never been explained to me before. The guy knows what hes doing, is affordably priced, and is connected with the community.

Its people in Greenville like Michael who made me regret having to actually graduate from ECU and leave Greenville. He is awesome at what he does, so much I put off getting a hair cut for months where I live now to get a haircut at his new place when I was back in NC for vacation. I have yet to find someone close to his caliber. Greenville is a much better town for what he does for the community and the level of mastery in his craft he provides.
