My previous experiences with car buying from other dealerships was not horrible, but I always felt unnecessary pressure to make quick decisions, and I am usually asked to consider a slightly more premium car at some point. With Josh it was a completely different tone and feeling.When we met Josh we told him we came to the dealership to look at a specific car. At no point did he ever try to push the car onto us or try to get us to look at other cars. He was familiar with the vehicle and was able to give us the background information on it which made us feel confident (by understanding its history). He also made good suggestions of where to test drive the car based on what type of roads we wanted to drive on (quieter roads, less busy). When we returned from the test drive, he gave us facts about the vehicle, the maintenance, the financing, etc. It felt extremely professional but down to earth at the same time. Not once during the entire experience did Josh take another call, talk to another customer, look at his phone, etc. He made sure every need we had was met and it was being done in a timely fashion. Josh then transferred us to the Finance Manager Ian who made the financing quick, easy, and provided us with a better financing option than we had with our own lending partner.I had a slightly negative attitude toward car buying, dealerships, etc until this past weekend. Volvo Cars of Frederick seems to operate a little differently than other dealerships. Over the last 18 months I have purchased two cars, an Audi and Volvo from Josh Doyle at Ourisman. Both were the best car buying experience I have ever had. I think I spent about an hour from start to finish on both cars, which is a huge plus as most times you buy a car its like an entire day in dealership. This Ourisman location is top notch and if when you go ask for Josh as he is who I worked with twice and could not be more satisfied.

I noticed a decent oil change special on their website and decided to bring my Volvo in for its routine maintenance. First - they have a very high labor rate. They wanted $161 before taxes and fees to clear a check engine light. Not even diagnose or inspect. Just hook up their diag tool and clear it from the history. Second - I was the only person in the lounge aside from one person who was waiting for their Audi to be washed yet my oil change took 1.5 hours. Third - it is about 100 degrees today but it feels like there is no AC on in the showroom/waiting room. They also charged an extra 22% for shop supplies on top of the $90 oil change.They get two stars for offering complimentary water and having an online service special that includes a car wash. I would prefer to bring my Volvo to a euro speciality shop and pay half the labor rate for better service.

Bill Martien was awesome, very knowledgeable of the vehicle and all its safety features, he was able to get my lease payment where it needed to be for my budget, even took care of returning my MDX, definitely a plus...I have driven anAcura for 9 years my new Volvo XC60 by far exceeded the comfort & technology of the MDX could not be happier with my purchase!

I bought my car from Volvo Frederick in the month of June and at the time inquiry itself, I informed sales manager that I will be taking at MD but registration should happen at Georgia. After moving to Georgia in July and provided GA license after 2 weeks. It’s more than one and half month now my vehicle was not yet registered.Both sales manager-Sam and sales person-Geoff are not answering my calls . Don’t know whether they have paid taxes to GA state or not and no one is taking any responsibility. I would strongly recommend to avoid Ourisman Volvo of Frederick for any kind of purchases, they don’t care about people and they just need their sales to be completed.Sam and Geoff promised me that I would be getting extra fittings at the time of delivery. It’s more than two months now and whenever sales person answers my call he says my fittings were shipped and I would receive them in a week or so. I don’t recommend these guys to buy any kind of vehicles particularly with this dealership. I will give zero star rating.

We cannot say enough good things about this dealership! Joe Holloway went above and beyond to make sure we understood every feature all models of the XC40 had to offer. We had not experienced such a patient and thorough brand specialist and because of him, we found a vehicle that fits the needs of our family ! I had the pleasure of trying to work with Chris Thomas, I already live an hour and a half away from the dealership, so I emailed him confirming that I would pay the website price for a car I liked and nothing more as I would have to register it back in my home town in Pennsylvania. And I also made it known that I would only buy this car if I could receive the remaining amount I have left on the loan for my current car. Both points were confirmed that I would pay the website price and get my current loan payed off. When I got there I was rushed to sign all the documents to pay for the car without ever being offered to test drive the car again as I had mentioned I wanted to do. I had to ask myself to get the keys and look over the car. Then after being offered less then what I owed for my car, the price of the used car I wanted was raised about 2 grand above what I was told I could get it for. After telling him I wasnt happy with the price I was asked if I wanted the car or not? and that this was a waste of his time and mine as he could have been home 2 hours ago. I definitely felt rushed, and treated like a commodity. I cant say this goes for all the sales people there but my experience was something I would never care to go through ago.

Recently my wife and I purchased a certified preowned Volvo from Joe at Frederick Volvo. Prior to visiting the dealership and test driving the vehicle we spent almost an hour on the phone asking questions about Volvo. Joe was extremely informative and provided us with clear and concise information regarding our vehicle interests.After visiting the dealership and selecting an XC 60 we purchased this vehicle and took it home. After a few days we decided that this vehicle was not as perfect a fit as we had hoped it would be and we contacted Joe to see what he could do to help us select a new vehicle.Joe and the entire team worked wonderfully with us to return the XC 60 and purchase an XC 90.
