I have a very complicated transmission that only a specialized place like AAMCO could look at. I was very honest with my situation. I had come in from out of town and was on vacation for a week. Our family needed the certainty of knowing that our vehicle was safe to head back home. They were also very knowledgeable of the warranty we had on our car and gave me the peace of mind that they could take care of us both technically and through the warranty process should we have a major issue on our hands. In our spot, they couldve taken advantage of us; instead, they were very professional and honest. They did a comprehensive check and reset the computer part of the transmission (I am not mechanically knowledgeable of how this works on my transmission). They said everything was good and didnt even charge us to diagnose it and confirm it was safe. I am grateful for companies like these where professional, knowledgeable and honest people are found!

My experience with Tim at AAMCO has been excellent. He was very courteous, helpful, and professional when our trusty Subaru transmission failed. He helped me through the decision process (rebuild, replace, etc), searched for a replacement (turns out Subaru manual transmissions are very rare), and fit the job into his busiest season. His estimates were accurate, with no surprises, and he even did some additional work while the drive train was pulled out. Went into the shop thinking my new transmission mount was bad and was going to be without my car for a few days. Got a call same day letting me know it was a misfire and that I would receive a call in the morning with the diagnosis. Sure enough, morning they call me with what exactly the issue was and how to fix it. Great price and had my car done by the time Tim said it was going to be done. There was a minor mistake with my bill but Tim got it taken care of the same day I notice it. No biggie there. 100% recommend. I will be returning whether its a basic tune up or repair! And to add, they used NGK Iridium spark plugs when replacing mine so you know youre getting quality parts which makes all the difference in the world.

First good experience I have had with automotive repair in years!!! They have the benefits of a chain but the feel of a Mom and Pop garage. Tim and Josh both offered my best options knowing I could do some of the work myself and didn’t do the typical let’s see how much money we can make off of him! WILL BE GOING HERE AGAIN!!

I had an excellent experience at this Aamco. Nissan dealership said that my transmission fluid needed to be replaced because I reached 60,000 miles and it would be $700. Tim Morris arranged for my fluid to be checked first. He said it was pristine, didn’t even charge me, and saved me several hundred dollars.

The mechanic here was very honest which is very hard to find these days he was straight up with me about my issues and I truly understand do too I come from a background of mechanics and if I was to spend over $1500 to repair one thing it’s better to just have the whole transmission rebuilt to new👍🏾

Went to establishment to have vibration in steering and car checked for possible rear differential issues.From the start they were very professional/knowledgeable. Instead of jst taking keys and taking car out to test drive, they invited me alone for the drive and the technician drove and explained the process and what he felt the issue could be. After test drive they came to conclusion it was more likely a tire issues opposed to differential. Recommend I have tires checked and gave me a few places to go.. Who you gonna call when your on vacation day 2 out of 5... and you are 4 hours away from home... and your truck wont start? I called them and they took charge of our situation... they promptly sent a tow truck... right to our hotel door... picked up my 97 Chevy Silverado... their team of professional and highly skilled mechanics got right on it... diagnosed bad fuel injection... they kept us informed every step of the way...The Team got my truck up and running and we got home without any problems whatsoever... Recommended for sure. Stopped in for an AC check. They suspected a leak but couldn’t find it (not unusual). I paid to have the system recharged. Three months later I returned because AC was getting a tiny bit warm again. This time they found the leak, REPAIRED it, and recharged the system. They didn’t charge me for the repair!! They are very friendly and professional. The tech came out and explained what was going on and was thorough. I would definitely recommend them for any type of service.

If you need transmission service of any kind, AAMCO is the place to go!My vehicle was leaking reddish brown fluid & I took it to my normal auto service center & they advised to seek out a transmission specialist. I contacted AAMCO & was advised that I could drop it off that same day if I wanted to. I dropped it off the next evening & by the time I walked back into my house, I had already been contacted with a quote for the parts & labor - which was just a few dollars from the ballpark I was given upon drop off. My car was ready exactly when promised & the entire process was worry free.The customer service is what really stood out, from the first phone call to the follow up text several days after the repairs were done. I’m hoping not to need transmission services again, but if I do, you best believe I’ll be taking my car to AAMCO!

I have already taken my old 1978 Corvette with a very tired transmission and also my wife’s Mazda. They rebuilt my Corvette Transmission it runs perfect with a little extra. I give the AAMCO Transmission in Fort Walton a 5 Star and would highly recommend you use them the next time you need Transmission work done on your vehicle. My Jeep continued to light up the Check Engine Light after I had reset it several times. I took the Jeep to Josh who I assume is the owner of the AAMCO in Fort Walton Beach and explained to him what was going on. He got my Jeep in for assessment very fast and was able to repair it instead of replacing it at a reasonable cost. The shop had my jeep up and running in a day. Most others would have kept my vechile for at least a week. Dont hesitate to take your vehicle to AAMCO if your looking for a professional and fast repair. They are rude and they take sort cuts to get the job done faster while still charging you outrageous prices...took my car there to get power steering hose fixed and then 2 days later there was still air in the power steering pump and bubbles and I had no other issues I work on cars myself. And when I tried to tell them whats going on they basically told me it just had air in it and it would go away...well they didnt fix the hose properly so it was still leaking. I would not recommend going here.

I highly recommend!I didnt know what was wrong with my car, it wasnt starting right.Even with all this covid19 stuff going on, he said he would shoot me straight regardless.It could be the the battery, starter, bad cable, etc. (Im not good with all the car lingo, if its wrong, my apologies)Fortunately for us it was just the battery which saved us $$$.Ask for Tim, I will definitely be taking any car related issues to AAMCO.

I really cannot say enough good things about this business and the people that work there. Every experience with them has been amazing! They definitely made a customer for life with me.My Nissan Roque broke down and I had to have it towed somewhere. I picked these guys because of the good reviews and boy, Im glad I did! Im convinced that most service places would have found the problem and then charged me an arm and a leg to fix it, but not Aamco. They discovered that it was a bad transmission AND that it was under a factory recall. Following their advice, I contacted Nissan and had it towed to the Nissan dealer to be fixed for free! Again, Im 100% convinced that a less reputable service center would have simply fixed the problem costing me many hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars.Thank you Aamco! I will definitely be back whenever I need you!

After test driving my vehicle, the only option they gave me to fix my issue was a full transmission rebuild with an estimated repair cost of $3500.Webbs Transmission was able to trouble shoot my issue, found that it was a faulty conductor plate, and was able to make the repairs for $750.EDITED RESPONSE TO BUSINESS: no services were performed on my vehicle by AAMCO. Only a test drive. The response that you looked into my transmission and found metal and other materials is a flat out lie and a representation of the poor services I received at this shop.When the pan was dropped at another transmission shop (Webb’s) it was clean and free of all debris. Which is why they only replaced the conductor plate as it tested poorly. Haven’t had any issues since.

Took my 2013 Yukon to the dealer and was told I needed a transmission. A freind told me about getting a second opinion at Aamco so I looked it up and made an appointment to drop it off. Later thst day I got a call from Tim the store owner and was ecstatic to find out it was an wiring harness issues. So 4800 from the dealer to 672.00 at Aamco.Thanks Tim for being honest! I took my 1995 Ford f150 to AAMCO on Race track rd. I thought there was a problem with the transmission. They looked it over did diagnostic tests. They even had a drive train specialist look over it too. They found nothing wrong with it . Despite the time looking it over they refused to charge me.Awsome crew.
