What a GREAT company. We have been a customer of Bray and Scarff for over 20 years ... WHY...because of their outstanding customer service. Our latest purchased was a microwave oven. The store manager, Richard, took plenty of time with us, explaining the features of each microwave and helping us to determine the right one for us. It was delivered yesterday and Richard was SPOT ON. We love our new microwave. The installers were a terrific team...polite...professional...and knowledgeable. They even set the microwave clock without us asking. And we all know how challenging setting the clock can be!Thanks Bray and Scarff for continuing to make us happy!

I just purchased a GE Profile Refrigerator from Bray and Scarff. The delivery guys Shane and Enon did a first rate professional job of installing the fridge and explained all the functionality. I am pleased as punch to upgrade from my old LG to this new state of the art GE Profile. They will make a return trip to install the 2nd ice maker as those are on back order. Great In House service so far. :)

Patrick has been fantastic to work with through the entire process of buying and installing 3 new appliances at my house. He explained everything I needed to know about each appliance and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I met with Sam Z back in peak Covid 19 pandemic in May 2020. It was shortly after they started making appointments for residential customers. I needed a cooktop replacement and he guided me to a few different options. After his team came out and measured for the cooktop the one we initially selected did not fit my current cooktop space. Sam worked diligently to find me a comparable replacement cooktop. Eventually we settled in on the Thermador cooktop and downdraft and it is a new focal point in our island/kitchen. Blown away! That best describes our recent experience with Bray & Scarff in Fairfax! First impressions are everything. From the sales staff, Patrick was wonderful, to the delivery crew, the level of courtesy & professionalism has been nothing short of stellar! In particular, deliverymen Jeff & Sallah not only arrived earlier than expected, which almost never happens, but they took great care bringing in our new refrigerator and when moving our old fridge into our basement. And so personable, they were a joy to talk with! Having never shopped or purchased from B&S before, we knew nothing about the company. I asked how they liked working for Bray & Scarff and they told me they absolutely love it because it feels like a family and everyone there is treated like family. Instantly I felt warm and fuzzy knowing we had made the right choice with them. I’ve always believed the way a company treats it’s employees is indicative of just how little, or in this case, how much they value their customers.It was even more clear to me as when they were telling me that B&S has their own knowledgable, reliable and highly-experienced Service Department Team. There’s peace in knowing that should we need any service/repairs in the future, they’ll be handledin-house, not out-sourced to contractors who have no investment in the customer. Even if an Electrician is needed on an install, they have their own, ready to meet the call. I couldn’t help but notice how, as they spoke, they were truly beaming with pride about THEIR family. Jeff offered me quite the education on the many ways B&S’s commitment to their customers is reflected in the fact that should a repair issue arise that cannot be repaired, with the warranty they will replace the appliance. Period! Rarely, if ever, do find a company that stands behind their products AND their staff AND their customers the way Bray & Scarff does!We’ve always purchased our appliances from other Big Box stores. The price of our GE Profile refrigerator was priced LESS than the Big Box stores. Even better, B&S’s 5-Year Warranty comes with their Product Protection Guarantee, which offers more guarantees than I have time to list. That said, the Food Loss Protection guarantee alone deserves an honorable mention.The BEST part is, with the 5-Year Warranty, if you never need to call on them for any repairs, you’ll receive 100% CREDIT of the warranty package at the end of the 5 years to be used toward your next appliance purchase!! I’ve NEVER been offered that before!!I’m not sure we could’ve made a better decision that day when we decided to check out what Bray & Scarff had to offer. We recently went to Bray and Scarff in Fairfax to find a refrigerator after having been to Best Buy, Lowes and Home Depot. There are so many brands on the market and, if you scour the internet, you will find a mixed bag of reviews. We wanted to talk with someone who actually knew the business. Richard Johnson, the Store Manager, spent over an hour with us explaining the features and the backlog status of the various brands. Richard helped us make the right choice for us. Over the weekend my dryer gave out after 10 years. So we decided to to purchase a washer and dryer since we assumed the washer can give out at any moment. Patrick my salesman went above and beyond with his customer service. I live in a condo that requires paperwork to be done prior to delivery.Patrick was able to get all that to my condo and scheduled his install team to come out on Monday . His install team ran into problems as we only had one elevator working because of a power outage but they were so professional and polite.I would recommend Bray & Scraff Fairfax to anyone who needs work done. Best customer service in a long time.

****UPDATE**** I finally received a response from customer service via email. In the email they accused me of being nasty and stated I hope whatever is going on in your life gets better.Horrible customer service working with the Fairfax store and the manager Richard Johnson. Ordered all new kitchen appliances (refrigerator, double ovens, and dishwasher). Received the refrigerator and dishwasher very quickly. Now, more than 2 months later, we still do not have a working dishwasher. Also, despite multiple attempts, I have not received a response when asking for an estimate on the delivery and installation of our double ovens. I will never work with Bray & Scarff again and will not recommend them.

However, I would come back 100% for Jeffrey and Benjamin, our delivery men. They were the real deal, professional, kind, hardworking, pure gentlemen and always made sure they respected our home. My experience with Bray & Scharff was unexpectedly aggravating, and I believe that the company is participating in a large scale scam. I was promised that the delivery fee of $49.99 would be returned to me as a rebate by store employee Marlon Lopez. I purchased a rather expensive appliance. As soon as it was delivered, I submitted the rebate form that I was given. It was returned as undeliverable. I emailed Mr. Lopez who sent me a more current rebate form. I mailed that immediately.When I never heard from the rebate center, I called them. They claimed not to have received the form and it was too late now to send one in unless I could prove that I had sent it in on time, which she explained could only be done if I had the original envelope that the original form was returned in. I had it and was told to mail it to them and I would receive my rebate. Months have gone by and no rebate. I went to the rebate center website to check on my rebate. A warning screen appeared with a number to call. I called that number, and a different number that was on the rebate form, during business hours and was told to call back during business hours.I am convinced that this is an intentional large scale scam. My $49.99 is not the issue here. It is the hundreds, maybe thousands of $49.99 rebates promised by Bray & Scharff fully knowing that they will never be paid. I will never buy anything from Bray & Scharff again, and believe that a store that holds itself out as having PERSONAL ATTENTION Unlike the big national chains, we take the time to understand your needs ..., yet participates in a scam cannot be trusted to provide the honest service or quality appliances they promise.

Terrible experience unfortunately. I wanted to love Bray and Scarff but it has been awful. We bought a GE Profile range in August 2020 that has been broken the entire time we have owned it. We have been trying for months to get the range fixed without success. The range turns off when preheating. We have spent hours calling Bray and Scarff and they have not resolved the issue. I honestly feel we would have gotten better service from a big box store like Home Depot or Lowes. Sad to say, as I always want to support local businesses.

He arrived on time, ready to fix my problem with a dishwasher, diagnosed the fix needed, kept me informed on what was happening and did so cheerfully. 30 DAY UPDATE: MASSIVE DISASTERIts been about a month since Bray & Scarff ruined our new home. After sending out 3 teams of incompetent contractors, our laundry room is STILL not functional, AND we are unable to get replies from the B&F team. I urge you: Do NOT believe their bravado saying they want to see this situation rectified, they do not.They have cost us 4 days of work and countless hours on the weekends, not to mention we still have washer and dryer pieces sitting out in the middle of our living room as we wait for someone will reach out to finish the installation. Disappointment is not a word strong enough for this sorry excuse for a luxury brand.Will update as the situation develops as we may be forced to pursue legal action.PS: They offered us a 20% discount (which they will use to pay the contractors who come to fix their own mistake). Its truly bewildering how this brand is even allowed to operate legally.----------Original Review:I wish I could give them 0 stars then take them to court immediately after submitting my review.We just bought a new house and moved in this weekend with out 3 and 2 year olds. We bought a Washer/Dryer combo from B&S weeks ago and had the delivery scheduled for Saturday.The delivery people showed up late but proceeded to install the machines. In the process, one of the technicians tells my father-in-law (who was overseeing the installation) these hoses are known to fail. They still install it and proceed to test the first hose, which immediately fails and sprays water everywhere.No big deal, we mop it up, then he installs a second hose (same model) and re-emphasizes these hoses break all the time and rushes out the door after a brief test.12 hours later, as we are running a load of baby clothes, we hear a water-dripping sound, along with a spray sound. Bracing for the worse, we run into the laundry room and, sure enough, the hose had broken and GALLONS of water filled my floor and were seeping through the floor, down to the basement and into my AC ducts and HVAC unit which is directly below the laundry room.New house, young kids, basement flooded in 2 of water.I call Bray & Scarff, the front desk (Casey) wont hear me out and puts me on hold. Then a sales manager comes to the line saying that its Sunday and theres nothing they can do but someone would call me tomorrow.I ask him do you understand that my house is literally flooded right now? and he condescendingly says theres nothing we can do sir, someone will call you tomorrow.We take pictures, make videos of the damage and begin trying to pump the water out of the basement. Thats when we realized that the water had completely filled out AC system and the ducts themselves were dripping water everywhere and the HVAC unit had shut off.We were able to get another contractor out that same day to open up the ducts and drain the water but now we need a mold specialist to come out, not to mention renovating the entire basement. (who pays for all of this?)And Bray & Scarff? Called me at 8am on Monday, left a voicemail then never called me back. It is now noon on Tuesday and I still havent heard from them although they did send someone who didnt speak a word of English to try and install THE SAME HOSE on my machine yesterday (they didnt call to schedule a time or anything, just send some 3rd party guy over).Today I called their service department, was on hold for 30minutes, never got to speak to a human being at all. No one ever even picked up.Believe me when I say: do NOT trust their it doesnt cost more to get more slogan. It is a blatant lie. From the way we were treated, to the lack of call backs, to the THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS worth of damage they KNOWINGLY caused us.This is not right and we are likely to pursue legal action as we simply cannot afford to fix the house we literally just bought last week.Heartbreaking for my kids and wife to go through something like this after so much excitement regarding the move and this new chapter in our lives.

We had our dishwasher break suddenly and had water constantly leaking from it. I messaged Bray and Scarff at night as I was searching for replacement options and I was surprised to get a prompt response from Sam. The next morning I was able to order a new KitchenAid dishwasher (in stock) with all of the preferences I asked for and Sam was able to arrange for delivery the following day. The delivery man was on time, he was very professional and answered all of my questions. I am so grateful to Sam and his team for helping us so quickly! Ive never purchased a dishwasher before. The one that came with my house finally broke and I needed a new one -- fast.I wanted to use a place where I could get the dishwasher model I wanted AND have it installed (with confidence). I bought my dishwasher from this place in January 2020 (not even a year). I paid the extra insurance and for professional installation. Now my basement is flooded, there is water dripping from my basement ceiling...ok things happen. I call customer service thinking it would just be a day or 2 for someone to provide service. To my surprise its 3 week! Never again will I purchase from this company. Customer service was not willing to provide confirmation of the appointment and did not escalate to a supervisor. Feeling powerless...buyers beware! They are quick to sell and slow to honor commitments.** Update as of 12/6/2020 **Received a call from one of the store managers, he was able to get someone to confirm that my dishwasher was broken and flooding my basement. Unfortunately for me, they couldnt fix it, its been a few weeks and I have heard ZERO from the manager, the store, or customer service. Ive also sent 2 emails to that generic gmail account that responded to my review...what a joke.** Update as of 12/15/2020 **I have heard nothing from the store manager or repair crew. We purchased a matching GE Cafe microwave and range.Unfortunately, our Cafe microwave died within a month of installation. Although the bureaucratic process to get it replaced was painful, kudos to Debra for staying with it and getting our microwave replaced. We will definitely return to Bray & Scarff and seek Jason’s advice and Debra’s support when we are in the market for appliances. Well done!

Two weeks ago my good friend, Charles, & I just happened to meet up with Andrea on your sales floor. I have NEVER worked with a kitchen designer who was so knowledgeable, patient, creative, thoughtful, curious, helpful, personable, efficient & professional! She gathered all the needs for the new kitchen and within 24 hours was on site ready to measure, ready with ideas, ready with all the background info. we might need. Within the week she had the specs, research & resulting first draft ready for us to review. Andrea VERY MUCH enjoys her job & boy does it show! He was expecting to only measure the refrigerator space (due to a miscommunication in written directions), but was happy to measure all appliances. I wanted to recognize the tech who came out to repair our GE Profile stove. Behailu Gashaw did an outstanding job to fix our stove. He explained everything he did when he came on his first visit to diagnose the problem and on his second visit when he repaired the stove. The service department did a great job on finding a part that was backordered. The only complaint I had was that it took about two weeks to get a tech out to diagnose the problem.

Coordination was exclusively virtual, but went really well with Sam providing concise recommendations with the supporting rationale. Also, he went out of his way to explain the need for additional adapters/components for the new gas range. Very responsive when a new range hood was needed due to factory damage to the original one.

Sam was an absolute pleasure to work with. I was in desperate need of a new wall oven, and found one online at Bray and Scarff. I had some questions and started a chat with Sam. Despite it being after hours, Sam still communicated with me, answered my questions, and helped me purchase a wonderful wall oven. Sam remained in contact with me through the entire process, and I couldnt be happier! I attempted to buy a similar oven a few months prior, at one of those Orange colored big box stores(not mentioning any names :-)), and it was a complete disaster. After looking at reviews for purchase and installation of a replacement range hood, we decided to check out Bray and Scarff in Fairfax. We were met with a friendly greeting and soon a sales representative was showing us range hood options. He discussed the differences between the options, and we selected a model to suit our cooking and kitchen configuration requirements. The sales representative explained the delivery and installation process and then wrote up an estimate for the whole package. There wasnt any pressure to buy the range hood immediately, which we liked.Our kitchen configuration specifications led to a discussion on replacing the back splash which was also on our to do list; the new range hood was one inch thicker than the old one and the existing back splash would have to be removed to accommodate the new hood. Bray and Scarff offered the help of their designer to coordinate those efforts.Today the new range hood is in place - the technician arrived on time, the old hood was removed and the new one installed, and I was given a quick explanation on how to use the controls. There was no mess left behind.Im looking forward to firing up the wok tonight and putting the hood to the test.

Sam Zamrik was a life saver. Our refrigerator broke in the midst of COVID-19, worst time for replacement. Sam picked up my desperate call and we met him at the Fairfax location to select a refrigerator. Sam was very professional, honest and clear about our limited selection for a quick delivery. We purchased the one that could be delivered the soonest. The refrigerator was delivered 1st thing in the morning. We couldn’t be happier with delivery/installation guys and the refrigerator. We eventually selected another contractor, but she made it a really tough decision. She will listen to you and educate you as your go through the design phases.

We visited recently to get advice on a combination microwave / convection oven. The sales person spent at most 5 minutes talking to us and then walked away when he decided we were not there to buy anything, and telling us he could not help us further without someone coming to measure our space. This is in complete contrast to another high end kitchen store we visited next where the sales person spent a good 20 minutes talking to us, looking up specs, and printing information for us to take home. If we ever decide to remodel our kitchen it will not be with Bray & Scarff.
