Always a great experience here. I get detailed information on what is happening with my car, and I know my car is being handled with care by a knowledgeable person who I can trust.

I rarely write reviews, but want to take a minute to wholeheartedly recommend Tom to any Porsche owner local to the San Diego area.Honest to the core, Tom will 100% of the time tell you what he believes the best course of action is, even if that means telling you to wait on a fix that he could have easily sold you on.Ive worked with plenty of mechanics over the years, but Tom takes the cake. He knows everything about these cars, and always provides quality work at a fair price.

This review for Tom is so long overdue but its well deserved. I have a 2001 Boxster that Ive been taking to Tom for probably the last 10 years. Tom takes care of all the work that I dont have the expertise to do myself. Hes probably the most honest mechanic/person Ive ever met. He wants your car to be done right. Hes always been great about taking care of my car and trying to teach me along the way about what I can do myself. As an educator, this makes me very, very happy. His prices for his work are very reasonable. Keeping a 16 year old car running isnt always an easy thing but I know I can trust Tom to be honest with me. I would highly recommend him to anyone with a Porsche that needs work.

Ive owned several Porsches over the years and simply put, I dont take my cars anywhere else. Tom is an honest, extremely knowledgeable Porsche expert who always performs superior work at a reasonable price. If youre looking for an independent shop you can trust, you found it...go see Tom at Eurospec.

I called and spoke with Tom about some work Im looking to have done. He seemed very nice until he asked me what the car is going to be used for with the modifications that Im inquiring about. At first I thought that was a sign of a good shop. I thought he just wanted to be sure that I was going to achieve what I was after. It was at that point that I lost all respect for Tom and his shop. I explained to him that the car belongs to one of my family members who happens to be 16 years old and a female. His tone completely changed. He told me that I should call Black Forest. He also said You probably shouldnt mention that the car belongs to a 16 year old kid because if you do, you will probably get passed off just like Im doing to you now. He actually said that! I asked why and he explained that he hears about these kids that get these cars and dont even last a weekend with them. He also mentioned that fact that this car that Im calling about is going to be a collector car very soon. Im sorry but who are you to impose your opinion about if she deserves the car or not. I was shocked to say the least. My family loves the Porsche brand...all of us! We have 7 Porsche vehicles in our family and they are all cherished. My response was that he shouldnt be surprised if he finds out that this 16 year old girl that he spoke so disrespectfully about becomes a face of Porsche Corporate. That is her dream. She is the definition of an enthusiast and can out drive just about anyone I know. This shop will never see any business from me or anyone that I know and in case anyone is wondering, he said that he isnt taking on any new clients. All this was said through a conversation with no arguments or emotions involved, thats just his response to a friendly inquiry for work to be done on a Porsche at his shop.

Eric Bevin,Frankly, its refreshing to hear a small biz owner express a personal opinion. Candidly there is huge liability in this industry and the stats are strongly against your 16 year old female family member. (Id rather meet up with an MS13 banger on the streets than a 16 year old girl behind the wheel.)We understand that your family member is a one-in-a-million princess who defies all odds and will shatter all glass ceilings but dont dis Tom because hes simply honest. I would have reservations as well about modifying a street Porsche for a 16 year old... any 16 year old.For full disclosure how about providing an update as to how things eventually went for the Carly Fiorina/Lewis Hamilton progeny?

I have been taking my Porsches here for five years and you will not find a more knowledgeable and reasonably-priced Indy Porsche mechanic. Tom wont try to replace parts that arent broken like the dealer does. He gets the repair done, and gets you back on the road, period.Im always pleased by how reasonable his prices are, and I like that when I pick up my car he takes the time to explain exactly what the problem was and shows me the broken part that came out. I live in North Park but I make the drive to Escondido because I know I can trust Eurospec.

Its rare and special to find a business owner like Tom. He was knowledgeable, honest and willing to take the time to talk through decisions regarding my vehicle and helped me weigh out my options. My only regret is that I didnt find him years ago.
