Took my son for the first time yesterday. Hes 2 and he absolutely loved it. I didnt get a chance to eat at the Cafe but the play areas are spacious and clean. Wasnt very busy when we went. Time and money well spent.

I hosted a private playgroup last week at Bumblebee Cafe. The event was a great turnout. Emmy showed great customer service from the moment I emailed her. She was quick to respond and she made sure all of my questions were answered.When I arrived she made sure I had everything I needed and it was a joy working with her. Everything was very clean and I felt comfortable with my kids playing. All of the parents and kids raves about how great the event was. It was a fun, clean, and safe atmosphere and I look forward to visiting again.

Great place to take the kids on a rainy day! The place is very spacious and has a variety of activities and toys. The indoor playground is a nice size and was the hit for my kid.

Great place for kids. They have two sections one for big kids one for five and under. It’s clean and safe. They also have snacks and things to drink. Would return.

The people at Bumblebee Cafe are so nice!!Our son is on the autism spectrum, and most Saturday mornings will wake up early and request us to take him to this indoor playground. With early hours of service, Bumblebee is open and able to accommodate!Clean facility and friendly staff make this a place we love to bring him to in effort to release that early energy.

Very clean and spacious. Two large, separate play areas for younger and older (4yrs +) kids. Great coffee/snack bar and very reasonably priced. This place just opened (less than a week) and the only reason Im not giving it five stars is because they have a few things to work out such as increasing the amount of seating, adding coffee tables, filling some of the barren wall space and improving usability of this massive space. Lots of party rooms as well. This will be a great place for birthday parties once they iron out some of the kinks.

Great place kinda hidden and newer business. My 5 year old didnt want to leave after about 5 hours of playing, variety of things for kids to do. I didnt eat but the food looked like it was priced pretty decent and it wasnt to expensive to get in. I liked the atmosphere and plenty of places to sit for parents. No lockers I dont think. But i felt comfortable with open locker. It seems more family, less big business. They had a good coffee selection for coffee people. I end up going here at least once a week now because my son loves this place!!

We’ve loved Bumblebee since it opened but we recently rented the facility for my daughters 3rd birthday party. We LOVED the experience & the kids thought it was so cool to have the place to themselves. I hope they continue to offer private rentals beyond Covid because I will definitely do that again!!

Ive been here with my kids many times but, the price is just constantly going up and in my opinion, what they offer isnt worth it. The staff are nice though!

Update 1-27-19: its been 11 months since we been back. (Kids get sick every time we went) waited 15 minutes for a plain bagel I had to cream cheese myself. ( said it took that long because cook was in training) NOBODY checked our bracelets when we left!! I walked out with 2 kids that werent mine!! They were my nephews but wanted to see if anyone would stop me since I didnt see them checking. Nobody did!! And the place is soooooo dirty!!! This is why o avoided this for almost a year. But my son was begging to go so figured i would try it again. Posting pics of how dusty and dirty this place is! Next time you go look around theres dust flying off this place. It never gets cleaned so gross!No wonder kids always sick 🤢 such a shame because its so close to our house and my son loves it there.Place is cute. Very disappointed in the food. $4.99 for rotting grapes and frozen strawberriesAnd $1 for black bananas!!! Literally barely any yellow it was gross. Also they dont tell adults to take off shoes so even though the kids have no shoes on most adults are walking around in dirty shoes. Especially now with the salt and winter slush its gross because kids are crawling around and toys are laying all over and these parents are tromping around with their boots. I never was told to take off shoes i just did it as common sense. And Not a fan of the seperated rooms. One room is suppose to be for toddlers and the other for kids ages 5-7 (what the girl at the front desk said) but every 3 year old and up was in the room for 5-7. So i was with a 1 year old and a 3 and 4 year old who were not interested in the baby room. I can handle the seperated rooms as i inderstand that not every family has more then one kid but the food and dirty shoes really need to be adressed. Especially for $5 grapes and strawberries

Its great you were open today. However, please turn on the heat prior to your customers arriving as a courtesy to them. You raised your prices due to Covid and therefore can afford to turn up the heat so our children dont get sick.

My son who is 2.5 loved playing here for the few hours we were here! He was actually able to play on all the equipment, even the ones designed for older kids. We will definitely be back for a longer trip and with friends!

This place was amazing! The kids loved it and I ended up sweating and having fun myself

We got scolded for bringing our own food when we have special medical needs, no gluten and dairy. The place only provides packaged goods and Mac and cheese and nachos and cheese. Very disappointed in the way we got treated. One thing is for sure, we won’t go back, there are plenty of places that will be better treating our needs.

Birthday Party for a 2 year oldWe had my sons birthday party here over the weekend. This was the day of the snowstorm and I was so worried no one would show up. Everyone showed up and we had a wonderful time. The party hostess and manager were wonderful to work with. I had a few last minute requests and they were very accommodating. All the guests said they loved the place and their kids really enjoyed it. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have a party.On a side note - the prices for the party were really good in comparison to other places.

Ive been here several times and even hosted my daughters 3rd birthday party here. Its a great place. My only only complaint is the lack of things to do in the toddler room. Theres lots of open space to run, which is great, but maybe a ball pit, more cars and more things to climb on would be great. The older room looks more fun, but she wont be going in there for another 2 years...Overall, I love the relaxed atmosphere and that I can see my kid wherever she is in the room. Nice comfy seating too.

My daughter has a very good time here and us always excited to go. We held her birthday party here and everything went well. However the pricing was a bit extreme for what you get.

Ive been to this place quite a few times and as a parent f 3 toddlers I must say I am very pleased with this kids play zone experience.Its Always clean and well kept.No rushed assembly line experience when they are helping to host your kids event.The food options are standard but have been well executed in my experiences.Its more so great for babies, toddlers and kids under 10, for older kids Id recommend something different.

I am so excited about this place. It’s so spacious and easy to get around inside. I can easily keep an eye on my 2 year old daughter and still manage my 6 month old twins. I will definitely be coming here often. My daughter had so much fun! It’s very clean and has so much to offer.

Great place to take the kids to run off their energy! The space is very clean and there are activities for both little and big kids. The prices are very reasonable and the location is easy to find and access. They also offer packages for birthday parties! With the winter right around the corner, this is definitely a great option for the kids to have fun and not put a dent in the budget.

We just had our daughters bday party there. Its a great place, kids had fun running around but we just had a problem with a few things.We had our 15 person limit but then had two extra kids who were able to come last minute. Why would they charge us 20.00 per extra child when the admission fee is normally only 11? They didn’t provide extra food but merely two extra plates and some extra fruit punch. For 9 extra dollars? Also, you would think that if we needed to order extra food, (we ordered extra pizza), since we are spending a ton already that they would discount the 22 dollar store bought cheese pizza that is on the menu. So adding 2 kids and 2 pizzas was 90.00! That 1/3 the cost of the party package!!! Thats insane! It was almost like we were getting penalized for the inevitable extra kids last minute coming. Also I think they need music playing and a speaker system to announce to when food is ready for each particular party as well as close-circuit televisions in the cafe so parents can watch their kids from there. On a positive note, its clean, has a nice size cafe with a decent variety of food and good coffee. General admission is prices right but their party packages need to be revised.

Brand new space meeting a great need in the area! The kids had a great time exploring the two separate play areas (different features for different ages) and had fun creative play in both. Massive space is a bit under utilized so far, and while everything is fresh and clean (great bathrooms!) the overall appearance is Stark without decoration. The staff was very pleasant and the coffee was hot and delicious. We look forward to many return trips and cant wait to see what develops.

Its very clean, has things for babies and up to 12 years old. Theres food/drinks there restrooms are clean. I would go back with my littles again also if you live close they do birthday parties. I live far so I wont be planning one

Had my sons 5th birthday party here the hosts were great. The kids had a great time. I highly recommend this place.

I have a high energy 4 year old that loves this place!It lets him burn off a lot of energy so he gets a great night of sleep. That is priceless!

I had planned party on my son’s birthday. Bumblebee play cafe is interesting place to enjoy the day with family. The place is huge and really clean. Large number of sitting arrangements, party room, playing area for kids and toddlers. Staffs are awesome and they provide us the best service during the party time. I highly recommended to everyone.

First time in this place, clean, bright and super friendly staff. Have 3 kiddos all different ages and they loved it. Good place for kids to burn some energy off for a couple of hours. Also a perk if you need to leave for any reason you can come back same day.

Nice place to let the kiddos burn off energy. Relatively clean. Could have a better area for shoe removal/storeage since dirty, wet, snowy, salty shoes go into the fenced area between the play rooms. Saw a couple people with shoes on in the play rooms. - could be prevented by requiring shoe removal before fenced area. Only reason I cannot give the full five stars.

Great place for play- spacious and play area is clean and in good shape. Variety of things for littles to do. The only thing I didn’t enjoy were the food options. No vegetables. Only fried food for littles and it tasted like old oil. The only fruit offered is grapes. Overall great experience and would love to see the menu improved!

I love the set up. They had little cars and toys so the kids can interact together. They also separate the kids by age groups. But my daughter always have a blast when we go.

The equipme t is well kept, the place is very clean and lots of fun for children of varying ages. My 3year old loves it!

For the price I guess it is okay. The place seems really bland and like not much thought was put into the play areas. Needs more creativity and imagination. Wouldnt mind paying a few more dollars if they used the place to its full potential.

A fun time for the kids! The whole place is set up with children in mind so they are able to run and play without worry. They also serve coffee and snacks. I would not recommend this place for any vegetarians since they only have one deep fryer. Fries and chicken are cooked in the same oil, which makes the tries taste like chicken.

The management here is sub par at best. After paying for a full party my spouse was treated as if she hadnt bought the largest package they offer, and then did most the work herself. The management at the end of the day basically said tough luck and wanted to act like our satisfaction wasnt important. The staff there are nice.....and the facility is superb...if they could just get some proper management in there that would make the place great....for now...my review is a 1 in hopes that will turn this around but i wouldnt spend the amount of money we spent for a birthday here again that is for sure

Great place for the little ones. Very affordable for a few hours out of the house. Party packages are pretty expensive but it was a lot of fun for the little ones. Ice cream was rock hard and couldn’t be eaten. Should have been pulled out prior to delivery. Staff just keep bigger kids out of toddler area if they’re being rough.

This was clean and open. Good for toddlers and younger kids. Adults are not allowed to jump so that was a downfall. Party rooms were a good size. You can purchase food and snow cones too.

This place is nice and really fun for the kids. Always clean and extremely well kept. The only thing Id say needs to be improved on is the cafe bit. Their coffee is awesome, but the prices of the food items are quite high for what you get. Im thinking thats the primary means of profit, so I understand why, but I would definitely pay more for better quality.. it would probably even bring me in more often even. The pizza tastes like frozen and thawed cardboard, the ceaser wrap is basic, the chicken sandwich is $5 and is literally a frozen chicken patty on a bun with nothing else. Again, this place is wonderful, truly fun and very clean, but the food.... the food could use a bit of help.

Great place to take young grandchildren. Dont quite understand why they dont have regular coffee but.have all the high priced espresso drinks. Food is a little high for kid food, but get its how they make their money. But extremely clean and good family atmosphere.

My grandkids ask to go here all the time. Great play space for kids. Cute cafe but the barista did not really know how to make a good latte. Be sure to wear or bring socks for EVERYONE in your party; otherwise, you cannot go into the play areas.

Excellent place to take your children to! Very clean, friendly staff, large play areas, accommodates children up to 12 yrs old. My son is 22 months and had a blast spent over 2.5 hours. He didnt want to leave. Strongly encourage and reccomend. Great place, great environment definitely going back!

When this place first opened it was the cream of the crop. Not it has a lot of broken toys, no play toys in the firehouse, grocery store or took benches. There is just nothing left to do in the toddler area, just carts and cars.

Had my childs birthday party their. Hostess was attentive. Kids had a blast. Only knock against them is there service time at the cafe took 25min to get 2 iced coffees with very minimal customers

Super fun! 3 year old played for 2 hours and would have kept going if we let him. He loved everything! I do wish they would have an age or height limit for the toddler area though.

Kids loved it. Parents are free to get in. Not a huge place but good for kids especially the jump pad. Serves food in the cafe with drinks for when they need a break.

Went on a Friday night with an 18 month old and 9 year old. Since not many families were there, they were able to play together in the same sections. I love all the room and the cool toys and jungle gyms they play on. It was clean and staff was very nice! Definately a place I will return to.

I am usually weary of kids play places but BumbleBee was very clean and well-kept. We came in summer of 2018 so not sure how long theyve been open but things seemed new and well maintained. 1:00 on Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised at how empty the place was. 2 hours of playtime was perfect for our 3.5 and 9 month old. The small separate baby area was perfect!The only complaints we had was little supervision and enforcement of rules but probably not to the fault or Bumblebee- we saw kids taking riding toys down slides, toddlers being collided into and 9 year old racing cozy-coupes through the toddler area.... hopefully we just came on a crazy day!

Its cool place like your little ones run around and play rooms to throw b day parties or whatever event you choose a bit cold would in the building wear a sweater

First time there today and loved it. I’ve been looking for an indoor place for us to enjoy and this was absolutely it. We had fries and cheese sticks. You know what the cheese sticks actually had cheese. It was a very good experience. Can’t wait to go again!

Place is clean and well lit but you can not bring your own food and if you leave the premises it is $2 to re-enter so if you plan on making a day of this either buy their food or pay $2/per person for the privilege of eating your own food off the premises.It is the same price for all children 12 months and older. Bringing a 5 year old for a few hours might make sense for $8 during the week ($12 on the weekend) but 3 and younger just don’t have the attention span for that cost justification.The prices should be tiered by age a bit more. I might be back when my kids are older or if someone really wants to meet here but otherwise not likely to return.

Usually Im a huge fan of this place, but the last time we were there it was freezing inside. I didnt even take my jacket off. Also we were one of the first ones there and it was very obvious that the floors were swept of vacuumed from the night before. I was also a bit disappointed in the fact that they dont start serving lunch until 11:30. My son goes down for a nap at 12 and I was hoping to have lunch there then head home for his nap.

I have two young boys(1,4) and they had a blast. Overall the location was clean and the staff was helpful. I hope that once the newness wears off that they will be able to keep up with the cleanliness and upkeep of the equipment.

Love the baby area. My 4 year old has a blast every time we come. Make sure everyone has socks, adults and babies included.

Great place for a birthday party!Friendly staff, clean place and lots of fun stuff for kids.There was one issue and that the pizza that you can purchase for your party was under cooked, no taste and burnt crust!By that I mean the dough in the center was too soft and the ends were way over cooked!Only complaint and quite terrible for the price!Thank you

I love bringing my kids here! They have the best time and its reasonably priced. The mozzerella cheese sticks are really good too! Its always very clean and its fun getting to play air hockey with my kids! They even have little step stools to make it easier for them. Its a great place to meet for playdates.

A fun place for birthday parties. The selection of play areas is not great but the two available rooms do have enough space to not feel crowded. Some of the other games like Air Hockey dont work.

This place was alright, and just that. $12 is a bit much for what they had to offer. Food was decent and the prices werent bad. The cooks were slow though. I ordered food 2 separate times and both times took 15+ min. Saw on both occasions through the window the cooks were back there playing on their phones. Tables were filthy and was only cleaned when asked. No one monitors the gate. Many kids were going through, so its pointless to wear the bracelets.

Great safe place for kids to playIf you are looking for a great place to take your kids or grandkids to have fun in a clean and safe place then I suggest Bubble Bee Cafe.

We have been to this place 4 times with our daughter. 4 ouf of 4 she has been sick after. I am concerned about the hygiene. Places like this need to be sanitized every day and I dont think this is the case here. Last time we were there it was pretty chilly too, even the staff had heavy hoodies on.The place is ok. Not too much to do but its ok for a cold day when theres nothing else around.

Spent two hours here. Nice place, didnt get any food or drinks. Admission could be slightly less and then it would be a no brainer to come quite often. Staff was polite, still pretty new so it seemed like a few werent fully caught up on some of the rule specifics. Needs more seating in the play areas (in the smaller kids area there are basically two sides and while one has five or so chairs the other side has two.) Overall though, clean, safe and the little one really had a great time. Looking forward to seeing how they continue to develop the spaces and solidify some of the amenities for the parents.I should add, they do have a 5 and 10 pack of visits that brings the price down to a sweet spot, but its either for the weekdays or the weekends and holidays, two different prices. It would be nice (and they may offer this) if you could get a standard 10 pack at the weekday rates and then if you go on weekends or holidays, pay the difference to the weekend rate with the 10 pass (weekend rate is normally 12 bucks for the 1st kid, but with the 10 pass drops to 9.60 a visit, which seems a good value.)

Very friendly staff at the front desk. I made the mistake of making my first visit in a weekend, which is obviously busier than a weekday. The parking lot was jammed and I thought it was going to be a nightmare.... it was FAR FROM!! Very clean, all employees were being diligent. I did not eat but the menus looked great and the kitchen looked very clean. I worked in restaurants for 19 years and I will definitively eat there. I only gave 4 stars ⭐️ because1) I can’t compare to another facility as this is the only one I’ve been too.2) I wish there was more of an accountability system that paired parents/grandparents/etc with the child. That way upon leaving the child was checked against who they are supposed to be leaving with.This would entail more staffing and would most likely raise the cost of going though.

Of the indoor playgrounds in the area this is the biggest! Two large rooms of play. Cute cafe with coffee and nibbles as well as the kiddie essentials. Plenty of seating and very clean.

Huge play place! I love that theres a separate room for 5 and under. Only giving it 4 stars because it took 30 minutes to get our order of fries and a pretzel.

Clean environment. While the place does not have many amenities, its very open and a great place to let the kids run around. Also had a litlle cafe which is always a plus. You need socks here to enter the kids area. They have some for purchase should you need some.

So of course Im a parent who follow given rules. Clearly says all adults and children need to wear socks in the play rooms. Ice seem plenty of adults who still wear shoes in the area. Ive notified the workers (2), their response, well, theyre not suppose to wear shoes. And continued with their chit chats. So as an employee, you dont kindly walk up to these parents and nicely reminded them they need to take their shoes off and put some socks on? The question how these employees are trained when they took the position for this job. Its not about following rules. Its about minimizing the bacteria for these children and with a team to try to keep the play area cleaner.

Amazing place to take my spn. They are so friendly and the food is not to badly priced. Great place to take your kids also if u want to get work done on a laptop. I recommend this place vwry highly.

This is an Elgin kids entertainment place with local hard-working people giving the town a much needed venue. The giant lot was left over from a Walmart which left town. In a very cold February day this open venue served to give 2 children a nice breakfast meal bought at the restaurant and 3 hours of play. Parents are not charged for being there to watch kids play. Clean, friendly, good place for kids and guardians
