The day I went to party city I was looking for birthday decorations for a 100th Birthday party. First order of business when I got there at 1120 am on a Tuesday was to use the restroom. Now mind you the store had only been open for an hour and 20 minutes. The bathroom looked like a bus full of rowdy room moms just destroyed it while shopping for supplies. The garbage can was overflowing, the floor,sink and toliet were filthy with a solid layer of grime mixed with dust laying over top of everything. Yuck! The toliet paper holder is broke and absolutely no paper towels. If the bathroom can not be kept clean and fixtures repaired as needed then dont offer a restroom, its hazardous. As far as the store part is concerned it was also in need of being cleaned. The floors definitely needed to be dry mopped and then mopped multiple times. Many items out of stock, Im sure this is due to COVID. The lady at the register was nice and friendly. Just pride in where you work people dont want to shop in filth.

Its fine, theres a lot of things for parties including customes and candy. Staff are nice.

I asked for help finding a costume and the girl took me directly to it. She was sooo sweet.

We got some matching plates and cups for a Christmas party...not much left to choose from, but we likely waitet till the last minute. Kinda pricey, but sales on some items helped a lot!

Thanks so much to Lexi and Bergen for being so patient with me in my purchases, and for helping my son feel better. He fell and hurt his leg pretty badly, and he was offered a balloon to help him feel better. He picked out a Transformers balloon...his favorite.😊

I was so happy with everything my grandson needed for his party from balloons, colorful plates and candy also prizes for the candy bags . Great cashiers to help piece together what party stuff we needed great service .

Just stopped in looking for birthday party plates and napkins. The gal that helped us was excellent. The only problem was that they didnt have the product we were looking for. She explained we could try on line to see if could find it. I think that was the first time we couldnt find want we needed.

Product is sort of a Dollar General quality but fair enough selection. Priced for profit. Better balloon selection than alternative and cheaper than more convenient stores. All in all, worth the trip.

Very knowledgeable staff.....I went in there for mermaid wrapping paper to wrap my nieces birthday gift in the employee I asked for assistance knew exactly which aisle and where in the aisle it was located....The store was clean and well organized....I believe that if you need anything party related it would be a good stop to make to see if they have that one you cant find at other places

So much to choose from. Almost too much. But made for a great party...had a surprise birthday party for my 10 Year old grand daughter. We told her we didnt have $$ for a party and she was bummed about it but took it like a trooper. But the shock on her face with all her friends and decorations and the unexpectedness of it...priceless!

Looking for stuff

Used to be my go to store for balloons and all things party. Always went and had balloons blown up for all my kids parties there. Went in yesterday to do the same thing I always do, fill up balloons for party.However I was told that they no longer fill outside balloons. No reason given. I then tried to purchase a tank, however they were sold out. Go figure. Then was told to go to hyvee which, it was expensive but they filled balloons.

I visited the Davenport location, it started out as a normal visit. Me and my daughter (who is non verbal and autistic ) came into the store just to get a few things. Then we met Lexie. Immediately my daughter was drawn to her. Sometimes going out is a struggle and some of the sounds and movements my daughter makes, others seem “bothered” by. Lexie stopped what she was doing (even though I know she was very busy she played it off like my daughter was no bother to her) and showed my daughter how she blows up balloons. This might seem minor to some but it was huge for us as my daughter struggles with interacting with others, but Lexie was so patient with her and did not get annoyed or act like she didn’t have time. After awhile she let my daughter pick any balloon she wanted (which of course was a green one) and Lexie paid for it out of her own pocket. She took the time to listen to our story and didn’t treat us like we shouldn’t be there and that my daughter was welcome, which doesn’t happen to us often. I will drive from Illinois to come to this location from now on.

If I could go give no stars I would! Just had worst service ever at Davenport Elmore location. Walked in and a lady was already hollering for someone to help her at checkout, as 2 employees ignored her. When I went to check out I was asking for help with balloons. The girl stood at the opposite end of the counter and did not come back to help me with my selections and getting them ordered. I told her I was leaving and going somewhere else!

Found most of what we want.

The employees at the Davenport Party City are RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. None of the employees offer any additional help to the customers, they do just the minimum, while having an attitude about it. They always act so inconvenienced when you ask them to do something. I just recently placed a balloon order and when I came to pick it up, it was a mess, probably the worst balloon bouquet I’ve ever seen in my life. But I didn’t have time to wait for them to correct it. AND THE PRICES FOR STUFF IN THERE IS ROBBERY. No thank you, fix your customer service.
