To be honest no one likes car repairs, but dealing with this service department makes it a little easier. I felt like the people I spoke with were being honest with me in regard to what was needed and how much it was going to cost. They also called a couple different times to ask questions about the noise I was hearing when they had trouble getting it to do the same thing. I appreciated that, because I have dealt with other places that were quick to write issues off as related to the road or even cargo in the trunk, charge a diagnostic fee, and send the vehicle back with the same issue. Due to inventory, they did not have a courtesy vehicle to offer so they tried to get the repair finished as quickly as possible as they understood it was my only transportation. I used reward points to pay for part of the repair, and that process was very simple.

Drove over 16 hour round trip from Virginia to get my truck for a better price than I was being offered in state. Confirmed and locked in final sale price before starting our trip. After a hotel stay and day of traveling, We arrive at the Dealership to have the truck be $8,000 over the quoted and confirmed sale price. I would not recommend making a trip to this dealership as they did not honor the price I traveled to acquire. I could have gotten my same truck for $5,000 less in state without a drive and without having to hire an attorney to contact the dealership after the horrible communication and service provided. Save your time and money and buy elsewhere.

Always an easy thing to bring the truck in for service. I drive 2 1/2 hours (plus a time zone change!) to get my service done at Bob Allen Chevrolet. Easy drive and easy task. Everyone’s friendly and they actually seem appreciative that you’re there using their services.

Spoke with a salesman about a jeep they had I was interested in. I asked if the price was negotiable. He said yes we have $300 to $500 movement in the price. I told them if it wasnt negotiable I would keep looking. He said we will work with you....come on up. I drove two and a half hours one way to look at the Jeep. When I arrived the jeep was rougher than described. I made an offer and they said its full price, take it or leave it. So I left it. Rude bunch in my opinion.

Just purchased a new RAM 2500 Laramie from Bryan Kirby. I made the drive all the way from North East Ohio to purchase from them simply because of how they conducted themselves through our initial conversations and how simple they made the buying process. For some reason correct tire pressure seems to be an issue. During the first couple services, they kept setting the psi at 35 and it would trip the sensor. I’d put the psi back to factory recommended 41 psi. The 3rd time I specifically asked them to not touch the tire pressure. Friday (4th time) the tire pressure was set at 55psi on the front and 65psi in the back. The factory sticker says 41psi and max tire pressure is 50psi per Goodyear. I don’t understand how this continues to be an issue. If it wasn’t for the fact that the vehicle was enrolled in the engine for life program, we would have stopped having the vehicle serviced there after the second time. I drive 45 minutes each way to Danville for service when there’s a dealership 3 miles from my house.

I purchased a beautiful Challenger from Bob Allen Motor mall as an out of state customer (I live in Connecticut). The car arrived with a faulty rear end upon delivery, which was very disappointing. BUT, General Manager John Welsh took care of the issue promptly and professionally. He went above and beyond to make sure the car got taken care of, and now I am very happy, driving my Challenger all over the windy roads of CT. Showed me a truck but delivered a totally different truck after a 4/5 hour wait. I would have ridden a bicycle home at that point! I took the truck home (about 30 miles) and called the next day and requested the truck I was shown. Didnt happen. They were mad at me! I dont have time to play games with them but Ill always tell the truth on them. That is my only recourse at this point.

This used-car dealership is THE one to stay away from. I came from out of state to purchase a Ram 1500 and it was the biggest mistake. This review is the used lot, not the new down the street. Bought a truck that was a good deal on price, but it turns out I’ve paid way more in after the purchase repairs and I have only had it for a month or so.Watch out for the lines about “this being the cleanest truck they’ve ever seen” and some story about being a trade in from an old couple. Lots of BS about “I’ve been here since 1995.. you can trust me…”. The sales guy remote started the truck when I wasn’t next to it, which was curious but maybe he was just trying to show me the feature. As I came over to listen, I heard a tick and when I asked him about it he said “You kidding, that’s nothing. If I fire up one of these $60k trucks they sound the exact same”. Dismissed me to make me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking about and it went away when it warmed up, so I believe him. Turns out the truck had two cracked exhaust manifolds and some broken bolts, $1700 later and when I texted him he said “I’m sorry man I never know”. I asked him about the leather seats because the window sticker said cloth. He said they were factory leather until I showed him the Katz Skin tag and then he waffled into some story about how they are better anyway. All 4 tires were bald and I ended up paying for them with my “non refundable $1,000 deposit” required to hold the truck for a day. The service guys at the new dealership even thought it was a strange process and made a comment about their trucks being in rough shape because “they don’t have a service department over there”. Don’t expect a truck ready to go from these guys like I did. 30% oil life, worn brakes and a cracked taillight to ice this cake. It is at my local dealership now because it is having computer connection issues and randomly wont start. They will make the buying process quick and easy to get through the signing of “as-is” then you’re out the door.

This is the second review I’ve made on Bob Allen Motor mall (Danville, KY). I bought my car on May 14, 2021 off the lot. It’s a 2021 Nissan Sentra SR. On June 24 my car was run off the road by a truck and I hit a guard rail. I had my car towed to the nearest shop after the wreck and was told that the shop couldn’t do an estimate through my insurance because their software wasn’t up to date for the vehicle. So the car sat in storage for two weeks waiting on an estimate through insurance. The car was then towed to Bob Allen Collision center (Danville, KY) where it sat for another two weeks waiting on parts. By this time my insurance had ran out on my rental and it had to be returned. Keep in mind it’s already been a month since the accident. Every time I would call and check on the progress it was always a different problem. Either there was a delay in parts, the wrong part had been ordered or shipped several times. Now it’s August 20 and I was supposed to have my car back today, but it’s still being painted. I even called to see if Bob Allen would allow me a rental vehicle but because I’m only 18 they won’t give me one. 3 months waiting on my car to be fixed and still making payments on a car I don’t have in my possession. Not only have I not had my car but now I’ve lost my job due to not having transportation. Overall they made the buying experience great, but when you really need something from them they won’t move anything to help get it done. I wouldn’t recommend them if you needed service done.

I had help from a guy named Tony. He was really nice, and got me in and out quickly. He let me take the car to the bank when I left to get my check, even though my original car was parked outside and I could have taken that one. They were all so friendly, and Ethan with the financials was great. He quickly and accurately explained everything to me, and they both were an absolute pleasure to work with. I went in knowing what I wanted, and they took great care of me. 10/10 on service for sure!

Absolutely the worst dealership around. I purchased a 2021 Chevrolet Spark because I was told it was the only vehicle they could put me in. Little did I know I could have walked away in any vehicle I was willing to finance. They just wanted to get rid of the vehicles that werent selling. Did not realize how greasy the deal was until I recently started as a salesman at a car dealership. Luckily the dealership I work for now helped me get in a car I love!

Wouldn’t suggest getting a vehicle here especially one with a warranty. It doesn’t matter how long business has been done or how much has been spent with Bob Allen, their repair service is sub par. Yes we are in a pandemic: parts, mail, everything is taking a while to get in. However what’s not okay - is someone else, without a warranty on their vehicle (the same kind) had the same exact issue. They called Bob Allen and they got it right in and fixed that WEEK. It has been MONTHS that we’ve given Bob Allen to “get the part in” knowing our vehicle is under warranty and they simply don’t want to address the issue because it’s under warranty. I’ve been very patient with the dealership before thinking about posting a review but when our friend with the same type of vehicle had the exact same issue and they got their repair done the same week since we’ve been waiting months, that’s not okay, that’s poor business.

Only drawback was the dealer not willing to deliver for free on an $80,000 truck when 5-6 other dealers across appalachia and Michigan were more than happy to deliver for free. Enoch was so knowledgeable about this vehicle. He appeared so comfortable talking about the vehicle during the test drive. He bubbles over with joy.Rodney was great when I went in for the Finacial side of the deal. He wanted to make sure of a couple of things, that I was covered with the extended warranties but most of all was I HAPPY with the purchase. He asked this question at least 3 times. I think this is wonderful that he wants to make sure you are positive in making the right decisions.Would definitely recommend Bob Allen to anyone who is looking for a vehicle.

As far as I can tell, most of the services requested were performed, however a couple of the items which I thought would be repaired under the warranty were not resolved. I was informed that the issues were normal and therefore not resolved. In turn, I’m taking this opportunity to inform GM in hopes they are passed along to the appropriate departments for further consideration. The outstanding items are 1) the rear passenger window appears to be loose in brackets securing the glass 2) the lane alerts are too loose as the trigger after half way in the adjacent lane and therefor need to be tighter or the central unit replaced and 3) moisture droplets drip from between the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter onto my garage floor and driveway immediately after starting the engine and backing up, leaving spots when dried.

My Chevy Malibu was experiencing significant and progressive problems with frequently not starting and shutting off while driving. It basically quit while I was in Louisville where I drive to work every day. I had it towed to a local nationally branded repair shop and was told it was something wrong dealing with the fuel pump apparatus. I was charged $1,400+ for repairs, but it immediately began exhibiting the same problems. They completely replaced the fuel pump and still minimal improvement that quickly worsened again. I eventually brought it to Bob Allen Motor Mall in Danville where I usually have my cars serviced - it took a few days but eventually Kerry B. and Tim figured out exactly what was wrong. It was a stubborn short in the wiring harness for the fuel pump. They had listened to my crazy description of the problem and then tested it multipole times until they got the problem to re-occur. Brilliant. It only cost me $251.00 - now it has been 3 months and it has never once been a problem. SUCH a relief after months of frustration. Never going to have my cars worked on anywhere else, even if I have to pay for towing back to Danville. And Jessica in the service department was very kind in answering my persistent questions along the way. Love the hometown touch!! bw

I inquired about a vehicle that was listed online as for sale (less than 12 hours ago I might add). I understand that vehicles sell fast, but if that were the case I would think the following email I received would say something to the affect of the vehicle was sold this morning, sorry for any inconvenience. I would have completely understood and not been upset. However, the vehicle listed was a bait and switch. Clearly in the email they asked to help me look for another vehicle instead of the one that I was already prequalified and ready to purchase.I spoke with Tony Baca, he was pretty rude to start out the conversation, however, I wasnt the happiest customer (but I am sure anybody in my shoes would understand). Apparently the reasoning was a glitch in the system that caused his inventory to be put online (on many different platforms) for purchase but he was keeping it for the parts department.Classic bait and switch. If I hadnt checked about the vehicle (thank god I did) I would have driven 3-4 hours to go look at a vehicle that didnt exist.

Ive bought four vehicles there in the past and always had a really good experience.Something there has changed. The salesman I used before has gone. Its sad because he was a great guy. Made contact with a new salesman sent him my information on a trade and exactly what I wanted to purchase. Prices are ok. Some of the incentives shown on ads noting one price are not available for everyone. This leads to big misunderstandings when it comes to final pricing for vehicles. CAVEAT EMPTOR. Staff is friendly and try to accommodate, however some of the sales people can be very disorganized. In the 2.5 hrs I was there just to sign some paperwork, one of the sales people could not focus, was very scatterbrained and after 45 minutes of us standing around, he finally got to our paperwork only to stand up and leave for about 10 minutes at a time, get back, do one more thing and get up and leave again because the paperwork at the end of the month is overwhelming (what he said). After I complained about the amount of time this was taking to just get started he brought his manager over, stating that he was feeling rushed. Mind you, we had only waited 45 minutes to just get started. During all this time, he was also looking for paperwork on another customer and blamed a few of his colleagues for misplacing it. We were there for about 3 hrs just to get thru financing and sign the purchase paperwork. I purchase about 7 to 8 vehicles a year for a large company and this process, at any dealership, has never taken this long.... ever.

Called about a car they had listed online for sale in the morning. They said sure we still have it come by and take a look. So after leaving work early and driving over an hour to look the car I get there and it’s nowhere to be found. I go in and ask about it and I get an “oh the motor is blown up in it.” Yes, the car they had listed online for had a blown engine and couldn’t even have the decency to call me back and let me know before making a wasted trip.

Brett sold me a car with essentially no brakes and rotted tires. I should’ve seen the tires initially, but when I reached out to get some help, they didn’t respond until I bugged them again and said they couldn’t help. My rear brake pads have 2mm left on them and all four tires are cracking. I bought this vehicle in may. They should have inspectedThe vehicle and made the necessary fixes prior to selling. Or at least inspecting and making the buyer aware.

Debbie Landis was amazing to work with. She never pressured us into anything, and worked hard to get us the best deal possible. She also was so caring with our 5yr old daughter that was with us. She got her a ballon, donuts and a pen and paper to color with. She really went above and beyond to ensure our experience was the best possible.
