My experience at Ethan Allen was wonderful. I worked with designer Peggy Fortuna, she was excellent, very professional and knowledgeable. Without seeing our home in Florida, she helped us pick all our furniture, fabrics and our color scheme down to the paint colors. She wasnt pushy and made a lot of great suggestions. We love everything we ordered and our house looks fantastic. We were so happy the first time we came in and placed an order, that we decided to come back when we were ready furnish the rest of the house. She went above and beyond to help us. We will definitely come back again if we need anything else for our home. We highly recommend Peggy and the staff at Ethan Allen Danbury.

My parents ordered a beautiful dining table and chair according to the model in the store. The expected completion 12 weeeks because of “covid” understandable. It took 7 months my parents just received, But Only four chairs and table but missing two chairs. And what is worse the table has gaps and holes all over the table an chairs “is not part of the wood. Not proper seal it looks like cracks all over definitely not the same table shown in the store. The sales person does not want to take any responsibility and of course all she cares is her commission. My parents had waited months patiently all this time but at this point is very frustrating. On behalf of my parents and myself very disappointed!

I wish I could give ZERO stars. Tested the customer service. Walked in a week ago all dressed up, hair and makeup done. The second I walked in I was asked if I needed help and the woman at the desk greeted me. I went in today with hair in a bun, no make up, tank, jeans and tattoos showing. NOT ONE employee offered to assist me, not one said hi back and the woman behind the desk refused to look up again. DISGUSTING people here who judge by your looks? Wow, little dis they know I had every intention to buy those 2 reclaimed walnut coffee tables which would have been a 2k sale for you. But nope!!

The establishment itself was extremely clean and organized. Our sales associate, Marty, was extremely knowledgeable with the product and helped my wife and I decide on our new bedroom set. He was patient with us as we took our time checking out all the different styles and gave us his expert opinion of what fabrics would be best (durable, easy to clean, aesthetically pleasing). Very pleased with our experience.

We worked with Deena Doherty at the Ethan Allen Danbury, CT. store to update our living room, TV room and dining room. Deena visited our home as part of the process, put together a designers board with all of her suggestions as well as a 3-D rendering to help visualize what the rooms would look like. She also assisted with ideas for a custom bookcase that we had made elsewhere. Deena is a consummate professional and lovely to work with. We love everything she recommended and our home has been transformed to something we are proud of and comfortable living in.

If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a bed in November with the expected completion/delivery of 12 weeks and have yet to receive it. The constant delivery dates then no call no show, only for us to have to call back and get a new date for the same thing to happen all over again. At this point I want my money back. I am truly disappointed and will never recommend or shop here again. So much for white glove service and delivery. Ethan Allen is trash. Do not waste your time or money.

Deena Doherty was the most amazing designer and Ethan Allen product was superb. 10 out to 10 for customer service and product. Deena brought my dreams into reality. She designed my entire living level. When I saw it put together, I cried tears of joy. She is a natural at customer service and vision. Deena is so knowledgeable. I felt at ease designing everything as I felt taken care of and I trusted her every step of the way. Moreover, she was so patient with me. I can’t thank Deena enough!

This was my first and LAST time I will be ordering furniture from Ethan Allen. I had ordered my bed from them back in November with the expectation that it would arrive around mid-January. I just received my bed yesterday!! I understand with covid that things were backed up, however originally the bed was shipped to the wrong location so I had to wait a couple weeks for them to get it to the right spot. THEN they informed me the morning of it was supposed to be delivered that one of the support pieces was broken and that they had to order another piece. Mind you they could not give me a timeline other than “soon”. I was very patient in waiting, they had called a couple weeks later said the piece came in and I had set the delivery for Tuesday the 6th. Monday rolls around and there was no call telling me that my delivery was scheduled for the next day. I had to call AGAIN and figure out where my bed was (all the while there was no sense in urgency with anyone that I spoke with). They called me back and told me that they were scheduling it for Wednesday the 7th. I mean all in all it has been such a frustrating process and would not recommend this to anyone that is looking to get their furniture quickly. The bed is gorgeous but had I know it was going to take 4 months to get it I would have shopped somewhere else!!

My experience echos Lisa S. from 8 months back. Sadly, I did not read this 6 months ago, prior to placing my order. My $6,000 sale through Janet was, for all practical purposes, placed within 1 day. Do the math - a pretty good return for little time put forth on Ethan Allens side. They are truly self serving once you have placed your order. I will remain a dissatisfied customer, yet only have myself to blame for returning to this Danbury Headquarter Store. Many years back I shopped there. After numerous problems with Ethan Allen, I became a very satisfied Stickley Audi customer. Their customer service truly defines the words, with a high quality product. I only returned to Ethan Allen since I had been in the area, was anxious to place an order, and decided to give them another try, with the hope things might have changed. It has not. Their attempt at customer service is clever, and exists for their interest only. Errors are part of human nature, yet their attempts to persuade and bargain with the customer, are of great resentment and insult to me. I guess to reach the level of satisfaction one should attain, I would have needed to negotiate back/forth multiple times, a game I do not chose to participate in.In the event you are looking for a new look for your upcoming holiday dinners, or a needed freshening up look from doom and gloom COVID days stuck indoors, do NOT got to this store. You will not find it - in fact your shopping experience will only add to the already existing frustrations in our world today.

We recently purchased living room furniture from Ethan Allen and couldnt be more pleased with the outcome! We worked with Janet who listened to our needs and concerns and helped us choose items, yet stay within our budget. The room is much more functional and comfortable. We have used Ethan Allen for most of our furnishings for the last 40 years. The quality and designer service set Ethan Allen above other furniture stores. We purchased two items from Ethan Allen on November 22, 2019, a wall mirror and the Chapman area rug. The purchasing experience was very pleasant. The consultant seemed very knowledgable and helpful and sold us a protection plan (the Guardsman)for our new area rug which we purchased at an additional cost. The problem is that our new Chapman rug does not hold up well. The carpet pile is not very tight and it does not take much for threads to be pulled up by our dog or a shoe heel. I immediately put a claim for the one time allowed dog damage and the insurance denied it with no reason given. I notified Ethan Allen, since they sold me the insurance and the rug and no help or solution has been given. I have purchased many items from Ethan Allen through the years but I will have to reconsider my loyalty to them.

We unfortunately didn’t read all the reviews before placing large orders to furnish 3 rooms. The quality is subpar and the customer service nonexistent. The “design center” is really only a strong arm to sell large ticket items, not provide design assistance, even at the Danbury, CT headquarters store where we went. As a result, we have with 3 issue-ridden, unfinished rooms. And countless days were wasted waiting for repairs/replacements because they don’t Quality Check before delivery. They have refused to take back problematic items and replace, simply telling us to go elsewhere. What company does this after a customer spends tens of thousands of dollars! They do not care about or value the customer, and we’ll never spend another dime with them. No wonder they’re copying Serena & Lily and other better brands!!! If you value your time and money, shop elsewhere.

Bravo Melanie ....& Janet! Problems are inherent in the design industry.When they happen you need someone to understand, facilitate & solve the issues. As a longstanding EA customer, the service had been great until now. Basically crickets unless I made the phone calls. Thank goodness for Melanie Mauldin!!! And Janet Morganti. Melanie actively has stepped up. Her design skills, communication & enthusiasm are refreshing. Janet has been great as well. Their combined knowledge & appreciation of quality in design, fabrication & style is outstanding. EA is fortunate to have them.Now back on the right track, I hope the solution is finally in sight. I gave two stars because the actual hotel itself is clean and rooms are nice! Thats it!! Staff is grumpy and rude!! No water in the rooms either so if your thirsty bring your own. I went downstairs to grab a bite to eat from there sub-par breakfast. Then a grumpy old man stated escuse me mame how are you going to pay for that? I stated back to him that I did not realize you had to pay for this. The sign is right there miss? Excuse me? That is not how you speak to someone. Not to mention they STILL did not have any water out for me to even purchase I was forced to chug orange juice and wait for checkout so I could actually get a decent brunch somewhere acceptable. On top of all that I did give them the money for what I had already put on my plate $15.00 for horrible eggs, bacon, and bagel. Oh yea and the oj!! Still thirsty! Needless to say I will not be returning to this place! Thanks but no thanks.

My husband had to take apart bridge of entertainment unit and reassemble so that it was level, since EA guys said nothing could be done. Not even their service guy knew what to do. New concept people - a level! Spent two hours of our time to do their job. The stain on the bridge did not match the corner units. Been waiting 2 mos for a resolve of that issue. No one seems to know what to do. No one ever calls back - I just leave messages. So the moral of the story is - spend $2000 on furniture at a cheap place or spend $6000.00 at EA and get the same service.
