Dr. Robertson and staff are exceptional! I was traveling and needed some medication for immediate eye relief. As an established patient, they were able to phone in my medication, as well as follow up after hours to ensure I was able to get the needed drops! I am thankful for the dedication of his staff! They saved my vacation experience!

Friendly service but bad follow up. I was told that my contact fitting would be in 1 to 2 weeks after my exam on June 24. After I didnt hear from their office within 2 weeks, I called back. They had not ordered the correct lenses for the fitting. I was told the correct ones would be ordered immediately and the office would reach out to reschedule me again. Its been a total of 6 weeks now, and Ive still not been contacted. Very frustrating. Going somewhere else.

I LOVE Dr. Robertson! (And his staff)! They are awesome! Always so pleasant and he will explain what’s going on with your vision. He is big on prevention and making sure you don’t lose your vision. When he sees things that may not look right, he will let you know. He was my doctor at another facility and when he went into private practice I followed him as a patient because I didn’t want to lose him as a doctor. I will alway be his patient because he’s just that good!

I have had Dr. Robertson as my ophthalmologist for over 20 years. He and his staff are professional and caring. Gayla, Brenda and Gary always go the extra mile for their patients, I would never consider going anywhere else for my ophthalmology needs.

I am writing to express high praise for Dr. Robertson and the entire staff at Oak Cliff Opthomology. I just had an annual eye exam and received an updated prescription. This is an amazing team of professionals. Every person with whom I interacted was warm and friendly from the beginning to the end of my appointment. My questions were answered with detail and patience. I teach college-level business communication courses, and I know good customer service when I receive it. This was definitely an A + experience.

I have a very high stigmatism so prescribing contact lenses is a challenge - I have never had the option for multifocal contacts, finally I found a Dr thathas the patience to go above and beyond, it took more than one attempt and well worth the results. Dr. Robertson is hands down the best eye doctor I have ever used. He has done some extraordinary things. Compassionate and caring. His practice is also in the most diverse part of town which speaks volumes.

I was having issues with dry eyes and getting the right contact setting. I had to go a few times, but he was able to resolve the issue when others could not.I am particularly grateful to Liz who spent time.e to make sure I had the best contact prescription and type. She did an excellent job picking the right type that met my needs.

Dr. Robertson and his office staff provide a very warm and welcoming environment. You never feel like you are being processed. If anything, you feel like you are part of a family. The proactive is in the Bishop Arts District and is one of the most diverse communities in Dallas with virtually all ethnicities and LGBTQ segments represented. I am an athlete and a few years ago, I was in a cycling accident and managed to get a very small tear in my retina. Dr. Robertson met me in the office on a 4th of July holiday weekend to examine my eye. He thought there might be a tear so he called a retinal surgeon and asked him to meet me in his office in another part of town., That doctor did immediate laser repair to secure the retina. I dont think there is another doctor like Dr. Robinson who would have done all that. I have been going to him for about 12 years.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr Robertson before he even moved into his beautiful office in the Bishop Arts district. His staff is amazing. Dr Robertson is extremely personable and extremely knowledgeable about your eye health. I never feel like I’m being rushed in and out. He takes time to talk with you while determining your needs. With the optical store in office, everything is very convenient.Kudos to Gary, he’s extremely helpful when picking out frames. I leave excited for my new glasses to come in every time.

The Dr. is fine. He was quick and told me “you are fine, see you next year”. So I can’t really comment about his knowledge or quality of treatment. However, the transparency and billing practices can be improved, hence 2 stars. The receptionist didn’t tell me i can’t use my vision insurance for this particular visit type (how am I supposed to know if I don’t go to ophthalmologists??). I was charged $200 crash on the spot for a 10 min exam. I would say it’s an alright place to come if you live nearby but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. Wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone either.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I visited this place, along with my nine-year- old daughter, on Monday, 10/26/20 because I urgently needed new contacts. I have extremely poor vision and have worn glasses since I was five years old, so I was excited to find a new Ophthalmologist with such great reviews. When I first arrived, I did not receive a warm greeting as expected. Instead, I was just handed paperwork and told we could sit in two clear chairs. When it was time for us to go back, we were separated, which made me a little uneasy, because this was my daughters first eye appointment. I decided to go ahead with the appointments hoping everything would be okay. I was assisted by a technician named Brenda. She was very short and seemed as though she was having a rough morning. It turns out Brenda may just be having a rough LIFE as she is always EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. Brenda completed just about the ENTIRE visit and handed me a prescription for glasses before I was even seen by the actual doctor. This was confusing to me, because in the past the doctor normally double checks the prescription, discusses the overall health of my eyes, and answers questions BEFORE I receive a prescription. At this point, I began to regret visiting the office. After being escorted to view their collection of frames and waiting for about 10-15 minutes, I FINALLY met Dr. Robertson. We went into the exam room where he took a quick look at my eyes and we discussed LASIK. He provided me with a referral, and I told him I would be scheduling an appointment. Afterwards, I reminded Brenda I needed a prescription for contacts as well. She told me I needed to obtain a copy of my old Rx from my previous doctor in order for her to be able to provide one. I reached out, and the old clinic told me they were faxing it over. After waiting for about 20 minutes and calling to confirm it was faxed, I asked what my options were to move forward with getting the prescription for my contacts. I was told they would continue to wait for the fax to come, and they would be calling me to either tell me they received it or schedule me to come in on Wednesday for my contact fitting (apparently they only do fittings on Wednesdays). I never heard back from them. I called today, Thursday, 10/29/20, and EVERY SINGLE PERSON I spoke to was rude and unprofessional. I was basically called a liar and told they NEVER told me they were going to call me. I requested to speak with someone in charge and was denied. I expressed how frustrated I was because I am unable to see without my contacts or glasses, and I only have a pair of glasses with a prescription from four years ago. I explained I felt as though I was receiving poor customer service and they did not care about my well being as a patient. Brenda eventually told me they were trying to save me some money by getting the prescription from my old doctor. This is a LIE. She was trying to save herself some work. I never asked for a discount, nor did I give her the impression that I wanted her to save me any money. I wanted my prescription for my contacts and to be treated like a patient who they genuinely cared about and wanted to help. Brenda later called me to tell me that they would no longer see me as a patient, and I could finally pick up my prescription. I inquired about changing the brand of contacts and she told me I would have to go somewhere else. I have NEVER experienced such horrible customer service in my life, and I am not satisfied with the level of care I received--nor am I comfortable with the prescriptions provided. PLEASE avoid this place if you are a person of color as I feel I have been discriminated against and will be filing complaints with any and every governing body possible.

Great job of cleaning and social distancing which I appreciated. Brenda did an exceptional job on my exam.

Dr. Robertson was so nice. He made me laugh and feel comfortable. His staff was super nice. It was just a lovely experience. Im never going to another opthalmologist.

Oh my gosh, my eye feels like new again!Wife had a foreign body (cactus needle, as it turns out) and we got a same day appointment. Less than an hour later, she was already feeling better. Beautiful office, kind staff, and Dr Robertson is very much appreciated by customers leaving (a wonderful snow-bird couple) as well as my wife. Living in the Park Cities/North Dallas area, we have had some lackluster experiences with physicians closer to home who seem to operate on quick talk and superficial kindness. I would have no qualms about recommending Dr Robertson to any family or friend or colleague.

Dr. Robertson and his staff are simply amazing. I was originally referred to another doctor, but I am SO glad I ended up there. A person answered the phone (not a recording), and I had an appointment within a day. I was actually offered an appointment on the same day I called, but I couldnt make it in. Front office staff and techs were very friendly and helpful. My hands were full when I walked into the exam room with Dr. Robertson and he said oh here let me help you, and placed it all in a chair for me. He is very professional, and I liked his approach of gathering facts first (I needed an MRI), and then we would make a plan. He called with my MRI results as soon as he received them, and explained in a simple way. He is very personable, and I cant say enough wonderful things about him and all of his staff.

I’ve been a patient for a few years and Dr. Robertson is top notch. His staff is a reflection of his professionalism and his bedside manner is excellent. Dr. Robertson truly cares and does whatever is in his power to ensure his patients receive the best protocol . I have been coming to Oak Cliff Ophthalmology for 4 or 5 years & I can definitely say the Dr. Robertson and his staff are wonderful. Dr. Robertson is patient and compassionate and a great listener — so much so that I recommended my parents to him and they really like going!!! Absolutely so lucky I found this place. I woke up early one morning with the worst eye pain. They opened at 8 AM and were able to see me before 9 AM. After being diagnosed with a corneal ulcer, they did everything they could to help me. This crew is the friendliest I have ever dealt with and truly helped me get back where I needed to be! I cannot recommend them enough!

Simply gratefulI was seeking a different perspective for my eye disease and issues, Ive been treated by another Dr. and I didnt feel like I was getting the care I needed, I would go and get my eyes checked only to spend money on glasses that just didnt work for me or my sight. I thought I was destined to not see clearly and that this was the norm. Im so grateful I chose OCO, the care and detail I received was amazing and I CAN SEE CLEARLY again!!! Dr. Robertson is a class act. He and his whole staff are like family to us. We first met Dr. Robertson when he diagnosed a condition in my husband that that could have been fatal. We highly recommend him and his practice.

45 minutes after my scheduled appointment passed until I saw a nurse. After having me tell her my chief complaints, she asked questions that showed she hadnt been listening to the information I gave (about medications and past surgical history). I spent about 2 hours here, only 10 of which were with the actual MD. The doctor was personable, but didnt give me reasons to explain my symptoms or give me an actual treatment plan to follow.

I had a great experience here. Pleasant and professional office staff, very short wait and a thorough exam. I highly recommend Dr. Robertson. They also have a great selection of glasses, from high-end designer frames to more budget-friendly pairs for people like me who wear contacts most of the time.

Been going there for years now. Always quick to get me in and the service is amazing. They really work and go the extra mile to make sure your visit is a good as possible. I got so much help with choosing my glasses and was able to pick out the perfect pair for me. When the glasses finally came in they spent as long as possible to make sure that it fit to my head and didnt let me leave until it was up to my standards. I couldnt reccomend them enough.

Probably the nicest doctors office in Oak Cliff. Beautiful new facility with lots of free parking right on Bishop Ave in Bishop Arts. Same-day appointment! Dont have a vision plan but since Dr. Robertson is a MD (board certified eye surgeon, NOT an optometrist) my regular health insurance paid for my visit! Full dilated exam- in and out in under an hour. Super friendly office staff. Dr. R is brainiac-smart yet very friendly and accessible. Optical department had great selection of frames (I got some Tom Fords) and told me about their special discount I wasnt aware of. Takes great care of my eyes and sticks to his schedule. As a busy airline pilot, Im not trusting my sight or my time with anyone else.

Great way to loose patients, I had to cancel 2 appointments a month ago because of my job schedule that could change within days, and when I went today to the doctors office the receptionist told me that I had to pay a $50 fee per every cancellation to proceed with my current appointment. I guess I’ll be looking for a new eye doctor.

Went to Oak Cliff Ophthalmology for the first time today. Staff was courteous and professional. I loved the advice on the right glasses and strength as well. Will continue going to this office. The convenience of the location for me as well was a big plus.

The Staff is great and will make you feel comfortable. The Doctor is knowledgeable and is able to explain a complicated procedure in terms a person can understand. Not much waiting around you are in and out in a blink.

Had a tender eyelid this past Sunday night when I crawled in bed and didnt think too much about it until I woke up with some swelling. The swelling got worse and Tuesday morning I called Oak Cliff Ophthalmology to see if any appointments were available. They offered a morning and an afternoon time slot without any hesitation to fit me in. Turns out that I have a sty and Dr Robertson wrote a precautionary prescription and gave me directions for home care the next couple of days to see if improvement is made. If not I am already on the schedule for next week in the event I need the follow-up visit for further care. Great doctor and staff at Oak Cliff Ophthalmology. Caring and proactive in a polished and updated location. Glad I remained a patient after he relocated. Well worth the drive from Lewisville to Oak Cliff.

Ive been a patient and customer of Dr Robertson from the days he worked with Dr. Cooper in their Duncanville office. I went to see this doctor as I felt discomfort on my left eye cornea area. The doctor checked my eye and diagnosed it as eye infection on the condition that Ive told him that the feeling I had was like something was stuck in my cornea. He prescribed me some medicines, but I checked with my obgyn and got a NO to use the medicine. (Ive informed the eye doctor so many times that I am pregnant).I did not pick up the medicine as the medicine could potentially harm my baby and I called oak cliff office to check if they can give me something safe for pregnant woman. The answer was NO and the nurse said if you dont use it, you will lose your vision.I strongly doubted about it therefore I went for another eye doctor for 2nd opinion and it turned out that there was a small piece of hair stuck in my left eye cornea. The new doctor took it out and said there was no infection on the cornea.I cannot believe what would happen if I listen to Oak Cliff Ophthalmologys doctor and nurse and took the medicine.This is a totally terrible experience. I will not go back to this office again.
