Highly recommend this eyecare center!the staff are extremely professional and friendly, and are also punctual - I rarely ever have to wait long to be taken care of. The team also provides high quality service in a great location in Dallas, which is convenient to get to and has parking for visitors

I’ve been a customer/patient for a number of years now here. I find the location convenient and scheduling easy. I do wonder if the switch to “Mr Eye Dr” has impacted care and service, however. At my most recent visit I spent at least 45 minutes simply waiting in the exam room (first for more than 20 minutes for the doctor to arrive and then another 20 minute plus for her to come back and check my contact fit). I know each doctor needs to deal with multiple patients at once for profitability, but the waiting was still excessive and frustrating. This may be the way all eye doctors operate these days, but I’d still be a little wary of this place.

John was extremely helpful in helping me pick out my frames, explaining the different lenses options and adjusting them to fit on the first try. Extremely greatly for such care and patience.

I am so happy i found myeyedr!! They have the most welcoming office staff! I have seen Dr. Clark for the past two years and she has been so wonderful and very helpful when it comes to picking the best contacts for my eyes!! If you need new glasses go see Ashley! She took the time to hear about my past frames my likes and dislikes and pulled frames for me based on that. She sat and helped me pick out the most perfect pair. I have been going to First Eye Care for over 25 years. I broke my work glasses over the weekend and thought I needed a quick fix, so took them to retail location that was open. They were unable to quick fix my work glasses. Called John and brought him my dilemma. He looked at them and was able to repair them while I waited for a few minutes. The staff is always friendly and welcoming even if they are busy, and theres a great selection of frames as well!At my most recent visit on 9/1, John was helpful in explaining all the potential options I had and even helped me pick out some nice frames. I haven’t purchased new frames in 10+ years and finally found the perfect pair with the help of John. He was patient with me, consultative and made the process fun! I’ve been a patient for 5+ years and the staff/doctors are always great. They are taking all of the right precautions through the pandemic while still making it a comfortable experience.

Very efficient appointment, everything went smoothly and I had my contacts delivered all the way to San Antonio within a week. Staff was great, especially the optician John. Was impressionable and charismatic. I was originally going to just order contacts but he found me the perfect sunglasses to wear for these hot Texas summer days!

They’re great! Got my prescription there, and in particular, I want to give shout out to the opticians who work there, specifically Philip and another guy whose name has escaped me (sorry!) but they’re great! Every service other than the doctor I had an interaction with was outstanding. The doctor though, made me feel uncomfortable from the moment she started her scare tactics trying to make me pay for additional exams, the way she positioned the chair and measuring instrument, etc. Very uncomfortable experience even beyond what I am willing to share here.

John is our favorite technician! He fixes our glasses right the first time - and has a great eye on what looks best for new glasses! 🙂

All I have to say it’s that I love coming here for my glasses and contacts, they are very attentive, they do a great job with the prescriptions which is what I enjoy the most and the whole experience from the eye exam all the way down to choosing the frames was amazing, Nghil was the one who helped me chose my frames and when I picked them up Philip was the one who helped me try them for the first time and their customer service was great. I have been a client for almost 3 years and I’m going to keep coming back I love them!!!

I have been coming to this office for two years now and have not been disappointed. i never have a long wait and dr clark is amazing. she really wants to make sure you’re vision is optimal. this is the first time in years that i feel i am actually getting the right prescription and the best brand for contacts. i also decided to go ahead and order my glasses and contacts through the office and philip(phillip) sorry! was wonderful. he went over everything with me and broke down what my insurance covered versus what was going to be out of pocket. friendly staff. reasonably priced. good experience all around.

Dr. Davis was very kind. She listened, explained things very well, and answered all of my questions. Ashly was also very kind and patient with me and all of my concerns about new prescriptions for my glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Davis and Ashly.Its now been two months, and I must change my review to one star!Dr. Davis has continued to be very kind and very competent.However, eight weeks later I have only 1 of the 3 pairs of glasses I ordered. It took five weeks to get a pair of daily wear bifocal glasses made correctly.Bifocal sunglasses were supposed to be the identical to the daily wear bifocal glasses. The lab did not polarize the left lens, and the lenses had to be remade. The replacement lenses were not the correct prescription. When Ashly placed the lenses into the frames, there was daylight between one lens and the frame, and when she brought the sunglasses to me, she had adjusted the frames without checking to see if they needed to be adjusted, telling me that you always have the adjust the frames when you change out lenses. (This is not true. A different optician changed out lenses in my computer glasses and did not adjust the frames at all.) The frames for the sunglasses now wrap so tightly around my face that I have difficulty blinking my eyes. When I asked Ashly to fix the lens so there wasnt daylight showing, she was rude and impertinent, speaking loud enough for the entire room of customers to hear. Another optician tried to adjust the frames for me but was unsuccessful. The frames are now so skewed they are unusable, and I cannot see with them to drive.The third pair of glasses are computer glasses. They have been made twice with the incorrect prescription, and one of the lenses was scratched before I received them to try on.When I initially paid for the 3 pairs of glasses, I discovered Id been charged Eyewear Protection Plan for each pair of glasses. This turned out to be insurance in case my glasses got scratched or I needed a new prescription in the interim of one year. I did not request this plan. Ive been wearing glasses for 55 years. I take care of my glasses, and my prescription does not change frequently. The protection plan is not covered by my vision insurance, but when I requested a refund for the protection plan, it was credited to my vision insurance, not to my personal credit card.So I am done. I will not return to MyEyeDr. for glasses again.I do like Dr. Davis and the care she provides, and I plan to return to her next year for my annual eye exam. But I will take my prescription for glasses somewhere else.This is a great disappointment to me. I have been going to First Eye Care Dallas for many years and have never had a problem. But after selling the business to MyEyeDr., this has been a nightmare.

The staff is amazing but my glasses were sitting at the office for almost 3 weeks and no one thought to call to tell me. The doctors and nurses are great but the communication is poor. I will not be going back

Dr. Ballard has been my eye doctor since I was 12 years old now Im 36. He is the best and most caring optometrist Ive ever been to and sincerely cares. Im just not a fan of the new company that bought First eye care nor do I care for their new employees on the glasses department. Rude people that lack deaf awareness.

This place has just really gone downhill since they joined My Eye Dr. The doctors are ok but the front desk staff is horrible. Came by to pick up trial contacts after waiting 2+ weeks for my order to come in and the lady behind the front desk gave me the wrong brand. Came back in to switch and almost left with the wrong prescription—both strength and astigmatism were wrong. She was genuinely unhelpful and completely disinterested in her job.

Spent over an hour just picking up my lenses today and ultimately had to order new ones because the tech measured incorrectly. 30 minutes of that was spent in the waiting room watching other people come and go with their new glasses. They forgot I was there. I’ve been coming here for 4 years and won’t be back.

Communication skills among staff are terrible. First, i was referred to an ophthalmologist for a LASIK consult but not told I needed to be out of my contacts for ten days before my consultation, so I wasted 2 hours of my day going to the appointment. Also, I had a trial pair of contacts ordered through the office. I had to call to see if they were in after three weeks. Then, i called to order contacts and the person I spoke to didnt know how and said a tech would call me back. . . .still waiting on that call.

Arrived 18 minutes late after driving carefully to get here and having to loop back around to the building since half of their parking lot is covered in snow/ice only to be told that they have a 15 minute late policy and I couldn’t be seen for a few hours if I wanted to make another appointment. Totally understanding of them.

Had a friend visiting from out of town and her contact ripped. We called optometrists all morning in search of a replacement and struck gold here. So grateful for their kindness! Definitely recommend 👍

Ive been seeing Thomas Ballard for several years, but my recent visit will sadly be my last. The entire process seems like a rushed assembly line, sort of what herding cattle would seem to be, with minimal time in front of the doctor. My contact lens fitting fee cost $105, even though Ive worn the same lenses forever. Dr Ballard spent LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES on the fitting. Then he wanted to do some more glaucoma testing, which required another appointment (due to COVID - understandable).But the main reason Im leaving is due to poor communication with his office staff. Every time I call, I have to leave a voicemail. There is no way to email or chat online, so you have to wait for a return call. Its been almost two weeks and Im still waiting for a return call from their eyewear department. Trying to get an out-of-pocket estimate before the appointment is quite a challenge. Communication never seemed to be an issue in the past, so perhaps this has to do with the rebranding to myeyedoctor.com.Thomas Ballard is a very competent optometrist, but the assembly line-like process and poor communication are a deal killer for me.

I’ve been a customer here for 4 years and won’t return. Since rebranding to myeyedoctor it doesn’t seem like they respect the time of their patients any more. I’ve had two appointments in a week, the first was a routine eye exam which lasted 1.5 hours and I’m currently over an hour into my follow up, still waiting for the doctor. I specifically requested the earliest appointment available for the follow up to avoid any delays but it hasn’t changed anything. They are either overbooking or understaffed.

What an enjoyable experience! I was looking for a new optometrist in between work and home. I found a list through my provider but also cross referenced with Google reviews. I am so glad I did my research. The moment I walked in and handed over my paperwork to the front desk girl, I was immediately greeted by Sarah (I believe that is her name)and seen by the Optometrists Assistant. She was absolutely sweet and kind yet informative. She raved about how wonderful Dr. Nicole Davis was to which I told her I was looking forward to meeting her. Dr. Nicole Davis was absolutely wonderful!! She was kind, informative, delightful, high spirited, passionate and just an overall joy to be around. Emmanuel was the gentleman that assisted me in picking out my classes which was a long process because of my indecisiveness but remained calm, encouraging, and delightful. From start to finish my time at First Eye Care in Dallas was an absolute pleasant experience. I will recommend them to anyone and everyone I can. I would easily give them 10- stars!

Dr. Davis shares with our family not only her expertise but her time and personal touch. She takes interest in our needs and gets to know us beyond the eye exam. Every time we meet with her, we learn more about vision and eye health.Cheri, and all the opticians, are the best around. Bought a new pair of glasses in early November last year. I am still waiting to get them. No updates in over a month???? Very disappointed with the lack of customer service and professionalism.

From the time you enter the facility, you feel welcome and you are impressed. It is a beautiful office building and kept immaculately clean. The front desk staff is friendly, professional, and always helpful. Wait time is short and the techs who take you through the testing process are personable and make you feel at ease. The doctor explains the test results thoroughly and spends unrushed quality time with you. If glasses are needed, you are well taken care of while you are there. I have been going to First Eye Care for several years and it is a very positive experience. I highly recommend them.

Incredible staff and doctors. Eye exams always stress me out because I’ve never gotten good news — ever since I was 10 years old, with my first pair of glasses. Coming here — staff is friendly, sweet, open and informative. Dr Davis has a quick wit and compassionate way, indicative of an amazingly smart person, which is always good to feel with your doctor. And Kim is an amazing person to take you through all of those preliminary exams — first time I wasn’t stressed with her tips and assurances. Love them.

I had my very first eye exam and prescription there and then I moved to another state a couple of years later and had another eye exam/prescription. The new Rx just was not working so on a recent trip to Texas, I made an appointment with Dr. Clark (saw her the first time also) and she re-examined my eyes and she gave me a new Rx. Its like I have new eyes !!!!!!!!!!! The Rx is perfect, same day service on lens. Dr. Clark is very, very educational. She explains everything so that you can clearly understand it. I left like I did the first time ---- 100% satisfaction. By the way, when I take my Texas trips, I will getting my eyes checked there by Dr. Clark EVERY YEAR ! Yes, shes that good and so is everyone that works there ! THANKS DR. CLARK AND FIRST EYE CARE !

Not sure what the negative reviews are about.I called today in an emergency situation. They were busy, but able to fit me in within a reasonable amount of time after my call. Professionalism every step of the way. The front desk filled out most of my new patient information from our phone conversation. If I went anywhere else I would have been filling out forms for 10 minutes. Wonderful experience with Nicole Davis, O.D.. Friendly, intelligent, and very knowledgeable. I knew I was in good hands. I was fitted with new contacts within an hour. I have a new Optometrist!

Once I started going to Dr. Clark at First Eye Care, I havent considered any other place for my eye care. She is very thorough, and explains things to me so I can understand. The technicians are very good at fitting your glasses, and they have been friendly and helpful when Ive had to return my glasses for repair. Also Ive gotten the best glasses from there - unique glasses that Ive not seen anyone else wearing.

I have been going to First Eye Care now for over three s year. The staff is always friendly and professional. Dr.Clark, always takes the time to explain my current vision, as every year I must get check for glaucoma. One year, she even drew a picture so that she could illustrate what was happening to my eyes. This last visit, Dr.Clark was able to squeeze me in to have my glaucoma test after my eye exam. Usually you have to come back for a second visit for the glaucoma test. I was thankful for that. All I have is praise for Dr. Clark and her staff!

This is a five star place! Ive had to make four different appointments this year for various ailments and each time I was able to see my doctor, Dr. Clark, the same day. I never had to wait longer than five minutes to been seen once I arrived. Dr. Clark is very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I usually wear contacts but needed a backup pair of glasses which I purchased from First Eye Care. That process was seamless as well. Got my glasses same day! I refer this place and Dr. Clark to my friends and family.

First Eye Care has taken care of me for the last five years. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Lori Bourque takes the time to identify my needs. She addresses my concerns and helps me find solutions. I wear contacts and glasses. I damaged my work glasses and broke the left ear piece. First Eye Care quickly repaired my glasses for me. They have taken care of all my needs including my desire to be fashionable. One pair is not enough. I have people asked me all the time where I got my glasses because they love my frames! I can see my test results immediately after my eye exam. I like that the office is equipped with the newest technology. Its a great place to go for all my eye care needs!

Every time I walk into First Eye Care for an appointment, I am greeted with the kindest people. I had an eye injury and was desperate to relieve the pain. I called on a friday morning and they were able to see me within the hour. Dr Schultz is amazing! SO glad I found this place! And so thankful that my eye is healing!

This location is now “My Eye Doctor.” The level of service is nowhere near where it was when it was First Eye Care. The office staff is confused, rude, and will take your money to order contacts, only for them to never show up. When you call you get an automated message - expect 2-3 days to get a return call.

I dont know what all the negative reviews are about. I stopped by to get some prescription glasses and they helped me with both regular and sunglasses. They gave me options for what I was looking for and directed me to the right pairs that fit me and what I was going to use them for. I had some concerns about what kind of sun lenses I needed, and they were knowledgeable about the different colored lenses and helped me make a decision that best suited my needs. I am very happy with what I got and would recommend this place to anyone!

This place was stellar! I arrived at 1600 and by 1710 I was walking out with my glasses. Same day service is just what I needed for my hectic schedule. I truly appreciate the kind staff and the stellar physician who helped me to see clearly again. All the best to First eye care!

My family and I have used FEC for 6 years now and we just love it! The staff is courteous and helpful (even when I have to bring my child with me to my appointment). They have a great selection of glasses and current equipment which takes the ugh factor out of going to the eye doctor.

Collin County Community Center set up my appt here since I didnt have insurance or a job...but when I went I was very surprised I was getting the glasses too. The assistant told me that the doctors there really care about their patients so I got them free as well. The were great & when I have insurance again I am pretty sure that is where Ill go again.

Been going here for about 3 years now and this place has been awesome from day 1! Ask for Doctor Davis, she consulted/managed my Lasik and was amazing.

Although John was helpful with my glasses selection these prices are extremely expensive and not worth it 3 to 4 times the price of the last 2 places. I appreciate the reassurance of we can replace the lens if something happen to them but, Ill take my $500 somewhere else and pay half with all the upgrades?

I want to express how pleased I was with the service, expertise and direction Cheri gave my husband with his new glasses. She knows her stuff...didnt buy my glasses at her shop (AND PAID WAY TOO MUCH AT LENS CRAFTERS...NORTH PARK MALL) and she adjusted them just by looking at me she could tell what was wrong !!! And The PRICE was 1/2 of what we were quoted at Len Crafters !!!!

I went today for an eye exam that was scheduled at 1:10. I got there at 1, got taken back at 1:15. I was done with the technician by 1:25 and ended up sitting in the exam room for 30 minutes waiting for the doctor. I ended up leaving. Not to mention all their frames are horribly overpriced. Will be looking elsewhere for my vision provider.

Great office! I was looking for rx sunglasses and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I didnt not have an appt. There were a few people in front of me but, they apologized for the wait and got with me as soon as they could. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family

My experience with First Eye Care of Dallas is only with lens fitting. My eye exam and eyeglass orders are placed at First Eye Care at Prestonwood Blvd and Beltline (customer since 1993). Unfortunately, that location no longer offers lens fitting so they send customers to the Dallas location.There is an apparent disconnect due to the lens fitting being provided at a different location. I am not in the customer database at First Eye Care of Dallas so the receptionist does not know who I am.For the latest visit, there was no courtesy call (from the Prestonwood location) to tell me that the lenses were available for installation so a whole week elapsed while I continued to suffer with damaged lenses.The tech was available early in the morning so that while I had been given an 8:30 AM appointment time, I showed up at 8:00 AM and the tech was already there waiting to make sure that I got service.
