Honest dealer. Just purchased a Mustang Mach-e from Theodore Robins Ford. They were the only dealer out of 25-30 I contacted that were willing to take a deposit and reserve a dealer ordered Mach-e. Not only did they reserve it for me, they did not charge a dealer markup. They are an honest and fair family owned dealer. The finance manager offered options but was not pushy. If you need a new Ford, go see them.

I drive a Ford Transit for a nationwide expediting company so I use dealerships all across the country. I look forward to using Robins Ford again anytime.I like your scheduling system it enabled me to get in at a day and time that I needed.Once there, I found a friendly nice staff who got me in and got my work rolling on time.For once I felt confident in the technicians checking on my van who found an important issue we were able to take care of along with the oil change.Overall definitely had a five-star experience.And I definitely cant say that for quite a few of the dealerships Ive had this van serviced at.

Went to this dealership for a preview event for the new Ford Bronco. My interactions were mostly with the Bronco staff. While I was there, though, I took the opportunity to hunt down a truck in Antimatter Blue. One salesman who was helping a customer, still took the time to direct me to where I could find this color. INVEST IN THE EXTENDED WARRANTY - TITLE: Relationship, trust, return customer, best practices service, and integrity. January of 2019 I searched CA specifically for a white Audi TT Roadster. Pretty specific. The first google led me to Robins Ford. Not only was the price point generous but the GM had the vehicle dropped off at the Long Beach shipping dock at no cost. Im from Honolulu. So, Robins is already the model for customer service. Two weeks later I received the vehicle and the convertible top switches werent operating properly. Robins honored their 30 day warranty and paid 50% of the repair. Another demonstration of integrity and service.The salesperson offered an extended warranty. I was reluctant due to all the horror stories plus the added investment was high and I wasnt sure about the return on investment. I went to the GM and the owner and shared my reluctance and distrust. They assured me this was wise and that the owner backed the policy provider. I was sold.Today I still love my TT Roadster and love driving the island with the top down every day. However, this month my engine destroyed itself. Believe me, I change the oil every 3000 miles, new plugs, new coils, changed all the fluids, etc. Towed to Honolulu Audi where they diagnosed that I need a new engine at about $11,000 and labor at $5000. I was devastated.Audi calls the policy provider, the provider sends an investigator, they both negotiate the settlement and I didnt have to do a thing. Robins and the policy provider were extremely generous, professional, and brought total joy to my finances.The primary message here is Theodore Robins Ford backs their core values, values their customer, and invest in that extended warranty.

All of the staff was extremely helpful and went above and beyond during these trying times. Between the Chip Shortage and FoMoCos lack of transparency, they had their work cutout for them and yet they succeeded in acquiring the Transit Van I was looking for. All the while, keeping me informed as to the status of my vehicle. I would definitely recommend them for all your Ford needs and would gladly do business with them again.

Theodore Robins Ford in Costa Mesa was the fastest dealership I have ever worked with. I knew the exact car I wanted and I was still in and out within an hour. Kevin Olson was so friendly, efficient, and also made sure that everything was covered at the best price and that I was taken care of, he is the best!Also, Baldwin Eneaji was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and helped me set up the Ford pass app to show me how to use the cool features.Overall, I am very pleased with my experience. I found the best prices in this dealership through CarGurus app. When I called different dealerships to find out an idea of lease deals no one was telling me the number except this dealership. They quoted me a really good deal over the phone. I went there 2 days later and kinda late in the evening when they were wrapping up for the day. I was in search for a California Special Mustang GT. I believe Theodore Robins had the last one in Southern California. As many you may know, theres a chip shortage in the auto industry so inventory is extremely low. They gave me and honored a price on this vehicle. I know they could have sold it for a lot more. But they are very trustworthy and honorable. Chris Alcocer was my sales person. He did an awesome job. What was also pleasant? Working with Pablo Cozzani in the finance team. He made this process so easy. He didnt sell, he explained other F&I products. And yes, I got the Ford Premium extended coverage for 6 years and 100,000 miles. I have spent over 30 years in the auto industry myself working for premium brands. I know good value when I see it. This dealership I would highly recommend.

Theodore Robins Ford in Costa Mesa, I did not order a car from them. I called themand talked with Chris the internet sales manager. I told him what I was looking for and he said a client of his order that same car and was talking about and wanting something different. 45 day later he called me up and offer that car with no ADM. When I got there I asked them to take X plan. No Problem. Sales manger did finance paper work $1500.00 clean air. $2500.00 finance kick back, In and out in 30 minutes. That was 4-24-21.Highly Recommended

Theodore,Theodore, where do I begin? I love and hate you guys (in a good way). You guys exceeded my expectations. So much so, had to come back and buy a 2nd vehicle the next day. I guess the Explorer Platinum wasnt enough, so I had to add an Expedition Max to the line up. This place is amazing! They can keep their prices low because they dont go over the top with advertising gimmicks and freebie snacks that no one will eat! Everyone we dealt with in sales were amazing. Curtis,Vic and Franco are no pressure and not overbearing like most sales people are. Pablo in financing, youre awesome brother! He offered the 125k mile extended warranty at a great price without being pushy even though it was a cash purchase. I ended up purchasing it. On the 2nd purchase of the Expedition Max he asked, do I add it I said lets do it. All in all, great experience. Will be using you Theodore Robins Ford for now own! Had a great experience buying CPO Ford fusion from out of state. Curtis Payne my salesman was great, even talked to me on his day off! Completed the deal with a few phone calls. Everything went as planed and promised. Pablo in the finance department was great too. Sent all the paperwork overnight with return overnight envelope. I travel for work and had an issue with my transmission on the road. I had my Ford F-350 super duty(commercial work truck) towed to the nearest dealership(Theodore Robins). They have now had my vehicle for over 24 hours and havent even looked at it yet. No diagnostic or anything yet...I told them that I live in Vegas and travel for work. I now have to get a hotel room again and stay another night...I understand that people with appointments and other vehicles in front of mine, blah blah blah... but I DONT LIVE HERE! There isnt a way to expedite the process for out of towners? Ridiculous...what a joke.

Hi I bought a used 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid from Robins Ford about 5 weeks ago. So far the car has been great, its like new and Ford CPO. The pros of using Robins Ford was the transaction was done quickly and efficiently. My Salesman Darin Ricci was easy to work with, the finance department was quick. From arriving at the dealership at 4pm on a Friday, I was driving home in my new Fusion at 6pm! That in included them honoring the Edmunds.com price, trade in, and financing. The next day I had to return because I forgot the title to my trade in. I noticed the night before that my new cars flat repair kit and emergency fuel funnel were missing. I showed the dealer when I dropped off my title and they handled it no problem gave me what was missing from a new vehicle and I was on my way. Registration and plates have arrived. The only negative was low trade in value of my old car, but trade in is always less than selling it myself, but no hassle of selling it myself. Bottom line: I had a pleasant, safe (pandemic) experience, got a great car. I would buy another car from Robins again.

The only reason that I will not give one star is because I had the best experience purchasing my truck and dealing with Curtis thier internet sales person. Me and my wife were in and out with the truck and had good time. A couple days after buying the truck I noticed a coolant leak. I had purchased a Ford warranty from the dealership, that is accepted at ALL Ford dealerships in the United States. When I took my truck into a different dealership they found that Theodore Robbins had not submitted my warranty into Fords system after over 2 weeks after my purchase. The dealership has been holding onto my truck for almost a week now and just recieved the warranty information and has to wait until after the weekend to get approval from Ford to start the work. In the meantime part of the warranty, that I paid extra for, covers a rental while my vehicle is in the shop and I have no access to that because I was waiting for Theodore Robbins to submit my warranty.

Really friendly staff really good free coffee. I like their selection but the only reason Im not giving him five stars and only four. Is because. They did not solve the problem that I was asking him to help out with. It took them over an hour to get back to me when I had lost something on their property. And then after an entire hour I still didnt find the guy that was originally helping me. So I never got my stuff back. I had a backpack full of brand new products. I also had a receipt in there with stuff that I was going to return. But all in all that wasnt entirely Robins fault. I should not have just relied on one of their employees to help. I actually asked other employees to help me but they were busy at the time. It would have really helped me if the guy who is hop into it and helping me out in the first place was available and easy to find.

I found the exact car I wanted online and within an hour of contacting them on a third party site, Curtis called me and confirmed it was available. Do not sell your vehicle to theodore robins ford. Their purchasing polices are unfair and no longer competitive in the market place. I sold a vehicle to this dealer 4 weeks ago and they have not pay me for my vehicle. I advice that if you want to sell your vehicle you take it to a place where they pay you instantly like Carvana or Carmax. I made a huge mistake by selling my vehicle to this dealer.

My girlfriend and I arrived at Theadore Robins Ford at 6:40 pm and they close at 8. I have been looking for a new work truck and was looking into purchasing a new 2020 Ford ranger. I looked around at the cars up front thinking someone will come greet me but no ! From there I went into the lobby where there was a few sales man standing around one salesman was with someone and another gentleman in an office. I stood in the lobby for about 15 minutes was never greeted, the couple salesman that were in the lobby walked right passed me and didn’t even acknowledge I was there. No I am leaving and hope they learn that even if they are busy they should at least great the customer. Never have I ever had such poor service at a car dealership!!!

Ive bee dealing with the same service guy for over 4 years now. His name is Pete. Pete is amazing. When he saw me enter the office 4 years ago I was incredibly vulnerable and had just lost my husband. I was crying my eyes out and could barely keep my composure. Pete somehow made everything ok that day and from now on when I pull my Exploder into service I light up when I see him and your entire gang in Costa Mesa. However the staff were professional and explained everything with straight honest answers. Never did I feel pressured. I would certainly buy another vehicle from these people.

I’m sure they are great at selling cars. But their service department is amongst the worst I have ever talked to. I asked the man on the phone if this dealer had an IDS machine (Fords programming tool) so they could flash my PCM to enable cruise control. A simple no or yes would have been good. But he told me it was impossible to do to my Crown Victoria, even though I’ve spend about 3 hours researching this on forums and have a family member who has done this . Then the man got angry with me over the phone, not a good business look for someone with a simple question. I called up Airport Marina Ford and they said they would happily do it today, and that every ford dealer has an IDS machine. FIND A DIFFERENT FORD DEALER FOR SERVICE. The clowns at the service desk don’t know what they are talking about. He could have just grabbed a tech who knew what they were talking about. Instead of getting angry at a customer.

I was given a VERBAL confirmation that yes, can can do that deal. Despite providing my email, and a text conversation, I NEVER received pictures of the car, or a written confirmation of the deal.Prior to driving two hours to buy the car, I texted the manager at 9 AM and asked for a written confirmation, or at least the window sticker. Crickets. For over two hours. Then I got a nice runaround about how they cant do that.Many texts later, and no response, I left a 2 star yelp review. Oh boy - that made them mad. Now I started getting phone calls from the salesman, who had me on speakerphone with the managers. They basically tried to get me to pull the review or change it, and then they would send a written confirmation of the price. Nope. Thats not how it works - I knew they were lying.When I wouldnt budge, the manager (Mike) started verbally harassing me. He had to tell me that he served his country (thank you, but thats a non-issue right now), and then accused me of being a millennial since I used social media to post reviews about a business. He said he would pray for me (in a condescending manner), told me I was immature, and had no right to do what I did.Throughout all of these conversations and the verbal harassment, all I wanted was the deal in writing. They put so much effort into avoiding this. They knew they wouldnt honor the deal. They knew the car wouldnt be there when I arrived. They know they would have done the whole smoke and mirrors sales game. Im sure I would have met both managers in person - I love that classic car sales trick. Ugh. Look up typical dirty car sales tactics and Theodore Robbins will be front and center.I havent come across a dealership this bad in quite a while. Although Huntington Beach Ford was close.I changed my Yelp review to one star, then emailed BOTH owners with an account of what happened. Guess what? The owner responded to my Yelp review with more lies and bullying. He lied and said they sent me the numbers and even sent the window sticker. Absolute blatant lies.I didnt even buy a car here and it was a horrific experience. Good luck buying a car here - youll regret it.Ive been buying Fords since the early 2000s. I hope T.R. can adapt to how people buy cars nowadays. Truly sad to have a manager and owner argue with me, harass me, and lie. They must not realize that social media is a real thing.

I had every intention on leaving with with an upgrade although my expectations werent to high considering my lack of credit. Well the great team down at Theodore Robins surpassed my expectations and took excellent care of me and got me into a beautiful new 4x4 SUV that my family love are surely looking forward to great family outings. Even with my lack of positive credit they were able to work their magic and got us a great deal on the vehicle. First time service inspection for our car...Things started off really well. I was greeted and taken care of immediately. Told to sit in the waiting area where theyd come get me when it was done.It had been an hour and 15.. I stood up to look around and saw my car sitting out front. Went to inquire at the desk where 2 employees were sitting. Saw a key on the counter..picked it up and asked politely if it was mine and was I good to go.The dolt at the counter gave me a look and shrugged his shoulders, then looked the other way. I grabbed the form which was under the key and brought it over to him, since it was too much for him to come to me. He then completely ignored me again and looked the other way. I was literally talking to him and holding out this form towards him as he turned his face away from me. I couldnt believe how rude I was being treated and walked back to where I first stood... waiting for someone to help me.I heard a name being paged as these two employees tried to figure out who initially helped me. I was not told to hang tight or that anyone was on their way or coming at all. I continued to stand there, being ignored and being made to feel super uncomfortable. After a few minutes of this, I just took the key, the yellow service sheet and walked out the door.I was relieved to find the key was for my car and that I could leave the lot.Still upset with how I was treated and will have my husband deal with them on the next service inspection, if he decides to use location again.

My service advisor, Andrew, was courteous and quick to get my F-150 into the technician to work on my Truck. He immediately got me a Courtesy Shuttle back to my residence. He called and gave me an update and later on in the afternoon called me to tell me that my Truck was ready and he sent the Shuttle back out to my house. My Truck was clean and repaired. Thank You!

We were told on the phone by the parts department here that the cost of a key and key fob replacement was $100, but once we got there they told us there is also a $180 service fee. Wasted our time coming here. Took it to a local locksmith and paid $160 instead for everything. This rating is only for this experience. We have had good service on other visits and we bought our pickup truck here in 2010.

Lemon Law Car.The worst brand new car I ever bought and it’s from Theodore Robins Ford in Costa Mesa, CA. After 10,000 miles the car has cranking and grinding noises in the engine. After multiple times checking the car by Ford mechanics, they refused to recognize that there is something wrong. In fact, they kept saying “it’s normal for a used car”. Yes, they called my 10,000 miles brand new car as “used car” and “it should have noises”. Then when the car had 20,000 miles on it, the engine light went on and the sent a message that the power train had problem and I must take the car for checking. And went I took the to Ford dealer, they said the engine is bad and they need to change the “top engine”. That is basically what’s known an “engine Overhaul”. Yes my brand new car it has an engine overhaul after 20,000 miles.I’m taking Ford and the dealership and Ford field engineer to BBB for Lemon Law car that Ford refuses to recognize. And I will also take them to, court.It’s a Lemon Law car that bought Brand New from Theodore Robins Ford in Costa Mesa, CA.

My experience with Ford was great thus the 4 stars. My issue is that the problem my 2013 Ford Edge had is a known problem that should be a recall but is not covered. The wrench light comes on and the car just stops...turn car on and off and it starts again...until the next time it happens. This is very dangerous especially since the car is driven by my teenage son.Found the answer all over the internet but there are no codes that come up for this so after Diagnostic they can only guess and assume it is the throttle body axis. no guarantees ..but he felt pretty confident as they told me they have seen it for years and know this is the almost $550 fix. Hope it doesnt happen again and that replacing the throttle body solves the problem. Thank you Theodore Robins...No thank you FORD!!!

This dealership is awesome. Salesman Tommy and financial guy Pablo. Both men were exceptionally personable and friendly. It had been a family owned business since 1921. From the time we walked in to the time we walked out, was 2-1/2 hrs. We negotiated the terms with no issues. We were reasonable and they reciprocated the gesture. It was a hassle free experience. Pablo put no pressure on us to get extra add ons, but we chose one anyway. Bumper to bumper warranty for 84/100k on used cars was very reasonable. I would recommend this dealership for a new / used car to my friends, let alone strangers. We drove 78 miles from home try this place out and we left very happy with our purchase.

THIS IS MY 3RD TIME COMING IN For An Oil Change. You have great Customer Service. My oil change was about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Everything went well until I drove my card 1 mile away I heard my car had a sound clicking and oil dripping. Went back and I guess one of your tech forgot to tighten two screw.

Frank and the whole service team went beyond my expectations in service! I brought my Flex in for an oil change. I had mentioned that I was having a hard time getting my daughter’s 16th birthday parade paint off of the windows, and asked if there was a spray cleaner that they had for purchase. On a recent Saturday night I had a scary and anxious experience with my 2016 Fusion, it would not start. I tried everything I could and finally it did start but not as usual. So on Monday morning I was able to get the car to Robins Service department and speak with service adviser, Andrew. He suggested to me to leave the car and get a rental, paid for by Robins, to give the service department time to look over the problems going on. As the service department was very busy that week and also a holiday week and as I had a car to use I was not stranded without transportation I was OK to do that. The car ended up being there until Friday. The tech was very thorough and finally was sure that the problem was only the battery. I said OK to a new battery and all is well. I am satisfied with the professional attention from the service adviser and the technician. Frank took over for Andrew and followed up on the progress and released the car to me all shiny and clean and I am happy. This is by far the best car dealership! The customer service is amazing. The salesman, financials, managers, etc were all fantastic. I have always wanted a Ford Edge but thought it was more than I can afford but they were able to get me into one and I couldn’t be happier! The entire process was very efficient and I never felt like I was being taken advantage of, the dealership has a very family feel to it! I even had my crazy toddler with me and they were very accommodating and played with him! I highly recommend going here, the cars are great and the employees are the best! The sales agent Chris A. was great. My problem is with the finance department. I went in with pre-approved financing through Ford credit. Gave them my approval number(never gave my social). I was told that they were finalizing my financing with Ford, but in reality they ran my credit through five different companies(including Santander which has lawsuits against them for unethical practices) and now I have all of these inquiries on my credit report. Be carful of the wording that they use saying that they are going to give you a protection plan, in reality you pay for the plan. Take time to READ everything you sign and dont let them rush you through anything.
