Jerry, the sales associate was wonderful! He was so patient with me and understanding of what I needed. He took the time to give me an overview of the whole car and all the different function….which no one had ever done that before. Everyone there was so friendly and I’m so happy I found them.

Ive had my 2020 Honda Civic from AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa for right around a year now, and Ive been very pleased with my all-around experience at this dealership. The sales/financing process were smooth, and not anything close to high-pressure. Cristian T. was a great salesperson to work with, in my experience. The service department is excellent, and Ive particularly been impressed with Paula there. The location is convenient, off Harbor Blvd. very close to the 405 on/off ramp, and its well-maintained. Great dealership all around!

Austin was an absolute pleasure to work with - transparent, upfront, no BS. He was quick to communicate, respond, and update. He worked to get us fair and reasonable pricing. He was clear about next steps throughout the process, and was extremely friendly and cheerful in the in between moments. Would (and will) recommend Costa Mesa and Austin in particular to my network of future car buyers. It was worth the drive from Pasadena to work with this team. Paperwork was straightforward and fairly quick. The whole process took just a few hours and felt painless. We felt supported and not rushed during the whole process.

Generally great people over at the service department but some of the sales and the sales managers in general have that classic thing everyone hates about car dealerships trying to put one over you. All we wanted to do was pay off the car after the lease ended in order to purchase the vehicle and not have to pay for an additional $3000 package they were tacking on. Left when they effectively said they wouldnt process it after we said no to the extra stuff. Will likely deal with Honda Financial directly to get it done. Not exactly the glowing customer service when we first got the vehicle 3 years ago.Update: 36 hours later and after coordinating with Honda Financial over the phone, we were able to get something workable and was able to get it done through AutoNation Costa Mesa with the help of other people we didnt speak with previously at the dealer.

While the purchase was no hassle, issue came after the purchase. salesman tried to say we (buyers) caused the damage on front drivers panel where most of the clips were broken when we noticed it a couple of days later under the sunlight scrutiny. salesman also lied and told us the 5-days return was at the end of that day, when it was the next day. Fortunately, the manager Kai Ascencio at the dealership came to our rescue. He authorized the repair for the broken panel and gave us the satisfaction we had expected from the purchase.

Have used them twice already on our Honda Pilot oil changes and just recently this week we also had our brakes done. I felt very much at ease knowing my car has in good hands. I have used this dealership for all the repairs and maintenance of the two Honda Fits I have owned. The staff are always professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. Shout out to Kathy who helped me out on my recent visit for an oil change. It’s nice to see women in service advisor roles in the industry. Now that the dealership has gone through a complete remodel. It’s much more modern looking and up to date.My only complaint is that they rely too much in paper for estimates and final paperwork. I hope they upgrade to a digital platform soon.

Fast and friendly service. Had no problem getting a same day appointment. The time they estimated to have my service complete was 100% accurate. My car was ready to drive off upon my return. Definitely not HELPFUL HONDA people here. This service center is so meh - I go here because it is closest to where I work, however, I definitely prefer Long Beach HONDA (which is A++++) or Carson HONDA (again stellar!). AutoNation Costa Mesa does not offer any type of courtesy shuttle or valet (pick up/delivery) service for customers (Long Beach does!)! Went in for a Service B and got a call from the technician who quickly mumbles through a laundry list of other recommended services (some that arent even due for another year and a half) and it was overall a very underwhelming experience. They can really step up the energy level and do better at making it a great customer experience.

I made an appointment online, but for some reason it wasn’t in their system. They took me anyway, which was awesome because they were super busy. Paula was really helpful and gave my car a thorough inspection and told me what I needed. She was super sweet and really friendly and very knowledgeable. Most people will warn you to not take your car to the dealership for fear of being ripped off, but I’ve never felt hassled or bullied here. Every appointment I’ve had has been positive!

Wed been to 4 other Honda dealerships over the weeks prior as we test drove vehicles and considered other cars, and the folks at this location were far and away the best to work with. The waiting area is newly renovated and comfortable. The only issue is the service prices are getting high.

I had taken my car to be serviced after the battery had died. While I do wish that I had gotten more updates the day of (since I had to reschedule an event after my car broke down), I am still very thankful for the service the day after. John was great at communicating all the updates the next morning and was a welcoming face to see when I picked up my car. I was surprised by the quick and friendly service and to find my freshly cleaned car ready for me to pick up immediately when I got there.

Austin was very helpful and friendly, on top of not being pushy at all. He was able to beat the price of 2 other Honda dealers and made the whole process very easy. Omar was easy to work with as well, and overall they provided a great buying experience. The vibe here was noticeably less sleazy than Norm Reeves in Oceanside, which you should avoid completely, other than to get a competing price quote.I’m still waiting on the title to go through, and for them to process some additional paperwork from after our deal was made, so as long as that comes through in a timely manner I would definitely recommend this dealership. Will update this review if those two things end up taking longer than they promised.

I had a great experience taking my Honda HR-V in for service. I scheduled an appointment for a dash light that turned off as soon as I got to my appointment. Paula went above and beyond by providing her direct contact information so I could bring my car back in when the light came back on. I dropped by once the light came back on, and she made sure that the issue was fixed and also addressed other issues (like a software update) which I wouldn’t have known needed to be done. She also communicated with me after I picked up my car from a different service advisor. It felt like she truly cared about getting my car fixed, and that it was done quickly and efficiently. I was having trouble with the air conditioner in my minivan and we were planning to leave on a long road trip shortly so I needed it fixed ASAP. AutoNation Honda was able to get me in the same day and had it fixed and ready to pick up that evening. 2 experiences.2nd experience October 21, 20221Final appointment. I arrived and was greeted by very friendly young man. He asked if I had an appointment and he was engaging commenting, about my vehicle and its condition, S2000. Great start. I was told I would see Derrick. Derrick came out apologized about the delay, did an inspection of my car and we proceeded to his work station. He was polite, sincere, friendly and committed. I informed him I would be waiting for my car and he said he would keep me updated. Throughout the day, he did keep me updated and he also assisted me when I was looking for places to eat. He did a great job.. My second experience was by far better than my first experience. Derrick and the gentlemen that greeted me made my experience pleasant. The service Manager Danielle was very helpful throughout both processes.When I received my paperwork, It did say I declined 7 point inspection but I never was asked. When brought to Derricks attention he said he knew I was in a rush but I would have preferred to make that decision. Other than that great visit and service.. The seat belt now retracts great again. Kudos to Costa Mesa HondaFirst Experience August 23, 2021I called twice about my s2000 seat belt which I purchased in 2001. Low mileage. After speaking with manager after the second call, she verified my information and scheduled my appointment. When I arrived, the service person didnt have me on the schedule and was told it would be a 4 hour wait. Manager told me it would be an hour to 2 hour wait to evaluate the issue and most likely order parts since car was old. When I saw manager Danielle walk by I introduced myself and my situation and she immediately remembered me. She confirmed they would evaluate and I would be on my way. After an hour and 45 minutes I went to service desk and she got my car reiterating parts would be ordered. I felt like if I didnt go up to desk, I could have been waiting longer. I am waiting for parts to see the resolve of my seat belt issue. Staff were pleasant but communication needs to be addressed.

I was there to check out their cars. Unfortunately, the guy I talked to was disrespectful and presumptuous, and was trying to make me sign the documents for them to run a credit check before any serious conversation, so I decided not to tell him that I have cash with me to pay full price to buy a car right away. Instead, I only told him that Im still thinking and want to know about the details. He became even more aggressive, told me that he would only give out information (such as pricing) after they run my credit, and started making up requirements that Ive never heard of in my whole life and said that I wont meet their requirements to buy their car and not anywhere else, either. I even checked with another dealer nearby just to make sure what he said was not a thing, and it turns out either the guy lied or this place has some quirky policies.Maybe he was just having a bad day and didnt want to waste his time on someone thats not a customer from his PoV, but well, they have lost a potential one.

My main complaint is with check in and pick up. The customer service in this area is lacking compared with other dealers. The young girl they have sitting at a podium makes minimal effort to show care for customers. Check in even with an appointment seems dicey at best. She was still sitting at her podium once I paid for my service and walked outside to get my car. There was a guy that I assumed worked there as well and they were deep into a conversation. When I asked where my car was she merely pointed to a white car, when I walked over I realized it was not my white car. I walked back towards her and then noticed my car was parked at the other end of the driveway. She never looked up as I walked past and continued her conversation to the other employe. This lack of consideration does not motivate me to come back to this dealer

Once again I had a perfect experience at this Honda Service Center. Jose is very efficient and helpful with advice on what services are needed for maintaining and preparing for a road trip. I took the car in at 9am and he asked if I wanted to wait for the car because he could have it done in about 90 minutes. Sure enough, he walked into the waiting room which was clean and comfortable at about 10:30 to tell me my car was done. He also helped by giving me any discounts he was allowed to give me. Service here is very affordable and they don’t try to up-sell you on service that you don’t need. I’ll definitely be back and will always ask for Jose!

However, it might take some time for them to make their promise come true.04/26/2021new update about my purchase experience. I talked with the guy who sold me the car. I asked him if I could see their promise in action. Again, this time he told me no worries, he would call or text me about that problem. However. Almost a week later, I still got no call back and not nothing. And they even ignore my phone calls.It really surprised me. I was impressed by their customer service at the beginning before the purchase was made and the different customer service I have received after that. I would like to take a star off from this while I am waiting for their response. (-1 star each week until there arent any stars).I did not make up this story. I even have the photo of their list of promise on handwriting, however it is not looks official.

Lidio gave me the utmost exceptional customer service I have ever had at any Honda service & repair department. Many times I’ve felt either scammed or was not explained in any detail the costs of the repairs. He went out to his own way to ensure I understood what was needed, how long it would take, and made sure that the warranty covered my repair. In the past I’ve had to dispute with other dealerships what was covered. Because of him specifically I will continue to come here and want to ensure others that work with him see the praise he receives. On top of that I came when the department was short staffed he gave me the same respect I showed him and was still able to have everything done as fast as possible despite the circumstances.

I use this dealership for most of my Honda care servicing. I always like their dependability and friendliness. Yesterday I had scheduled a multi point safety inspection for 11:20am. Thinking this would be a quick service since it was only an inspection and I made an appointment, I scheduled myself to be back at work at 1:30. my car was not finished until 1:35. I was frustrated, and I checked in a few times and was told 15 more minutes, several times. the service manager was polite and apologetic, but nonetheless, because they overbooked themselves, i had a long wait and was late for work. A small issue, but frustrating and unnecessary...

We had a great car buying experience here! No bait and switch or silly games. After finding a great deal on TrueCar.com we were in contact with the dealership. We drove straight there after our work day, arrived at 7:30 and were out by 9 p.m. Part of our expedited process was that my husband and I had obtained our financing through our credit union. We appreciated that this dealership did not tack on hidden fees or try to play with the numbers to have us finance through them. If you find a car at this dealership, jump on it!. they will get you in and out with your desired car.

Worst customer service I have ever had at a Honda dealership in the past 20 years of being a customer to Honda. Employees were very rude and inconsiderate of situation. I had 2 recalls on my vehicle that I took it in for and when I booked the appointment they said would take no longer than an hour and a courtesy car would be provided considering it is a recall not a personal issue. Instead it took an hour just to get my vehicle checked in just for them to tell me that they MIGHT be able to finish it within 3 days and still not provide any type of courtesy car or compensation for now having to rent a car for 3 days. Overall DO NOT go to this location. If you’re looking for one in the area that will actually help you go to Huntington Honda on Beach Blvd.

After 2 dead batteries in 2 weeks, AutoNation Honda found that my alternator was bad. Lidio was great, gave me a loaner car, and 2 days later my car was ready to be picked up! Great experience, they did not try and “up-sell” me into repairs that I didn’t need, but they did remind me that other services will be do soon. I have no problem with that, that is their job after all! I have bought 2 CRV’s from them and always bring my car to them for any service, even windshield wiper blades. Love AutoNation!

I am waiting on a repair for AC in my vehicle which I have been without for 3 months in California heat. They don’t seem to care because they probably have great AC in their vehicles. I had the displeasure of working with omarBuy here if you enjoy being smiled at and sweet-talked to as they pickpocket you behind the scenes.Pandemic is rough and a lot of dealers will mark up a little but some are kind enough to sell at market price.We dont do markups like other places!!... just thousands and thousands of dollars of forced add-ons!!!, they say with a smile across their face.Im not going to lie and say the market is great for consumers right now because it isnt due to the dealer-sided market now. This is because of high demand for cars but low supply because of the auto industry poorly predicting the market and semiconductor/chip shortage but that is another very long discussion... but if you shop around a bit nearby, there are cheaper options. And if not, it will probably be the same price but at least less sleazy people to deal with.

I’m not a Honda fan but purchased a Clarity Plug-In Hybrid because of lots of incentives. AutoNation Costa Mesa Honda was one of the dealerships participating all EV, PHEV incentive programs in Southern California. However, it was the worst purchasing experience in my life. The people were nice but once purchased, their follow up is ZERO. NO UPDATES UNTIL CUSTOMER REQUEST. Over 70 emails sent them to request to follow the incentive process. My experience at Autonation Honda in Costa Mesa was the BEST experience one could appreciate. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. I called and scheduled an appointment for a broken/leaking AC unit for my Honda Civic. And I was fortunate to have worked with Kathy. She was very professional and had clear communication about the process and answered all of my questions and concerns regarding my cars warranty and insurance. Being a fairly new car owner, I was a little on edge at the time. And Kathy made the experience much more pleasant than I had expected. I highly recommend Autonation Honda to anyone needing a service. They did a great job taking care of my car and fixing the issues. Thank you guys!

Derrick was an excellent customer service agent, extremely polite and calm under duress. Although the Honda dealership was understaffed and unusually busy, everyone remained calm and courteous. My car was serviced in a timely manner, and I was able to get to my online job on time!

Oil Change Plus! I came in for an oil change, but also asked them to look at a problem with the undercarriage. My very nice consultant came and told me that they found a few bolts/clips were missing, and had put them in, no charge.

My appt was at 9 am on Saturday. I drove in at 8:52am. I wasnt greeted until 9:20am. It took 20 minutes to get through the simple process of getting my oil changed paperwork together, then another 2.5 hours of waiting. A simple oil change is 20 minutes Max! No other services were required. They dont vacuum. I had an appt! Nonsense. No excuse for wasting my entire day! I will never bring my car here again. I would rather pay 45.00 than have 3 hours of my time wasted.

I would give them 5 stars if I did not have to stay over than 6 hours to get the car. The salesman (Nader) was so helpful and did a great job but the sales manager did not want to honor the quote that her salesman sent us via email and confirmed on the phone, so we had to go back and forth again to reach to an agreement on the price. Also the finance manager had to ask another finance person to help him in the docs then he left us for over than 30 minutes to go talk to another sales manager who did not care about the deal and he did not come back until I walked to them.

The service employees have been very nice at Autonation. However, the techs actually performing the work are substandard. I purchased a new Passport here earlier this year. When I had them install the toe hitch and transmission cooler, it took a couple extra days than they said because the tech was having trouble installing it.Then I started to get a clicking sound from my speakers even when the radio was turned off. This was a known issue by Honda and they “fixed” the wiring harness behind the dashboard. A few months later, the clicking came back while on a road trip out of state (extremely annoying). I called ahead to let schedule an appointment and give them time to order a new audio unit, since that was the next step in this issue.They gave me a loaner this time, but needed the car for the week since they didn’t order the part ahead of time. The day it was supposed to be ready, they called and said they got in the wrong part, and would need it for two more weeks. The next week they called and said the part came early and my car was ready, so I picked it up.A week later, the radio started clicking and going in and out.So now I have a third appointment for the same issue and am extremely unhappy with this service department right now. My car is only 10 months old, so this is definitely not “reasonable”.

Jaimie and folks at Autonation was a pleasure to deal with. In this current market where inventory is low and dealers force unwanted options they made the process straightforward and honest. They explained that there is not a lot of wiggle room from msrp but that they won’t add any options that I didn’t want. I did shop around several dealers and got varying levels of runaround and dishonesty. This is why I chose to work with Jaimie and Autonation. Deciding on a car they made the process super easy. The car was delivered and they went over everything I needed to know about it. I will definitely work with Jaimie and Autonation again when I’m in the market for a new car.
