So first off: make an appointment if you can. It is just a faster and easier process. We stopped by yesterday around 10 and there was already a 3hr wait. So we made an appointment for the following morning. The guy we talked to was very helpful scheduling and one of the ladies working answered all of our questions right when we got there. (Finally! Someone who knows what is going on and can inform customers!!) Today it took a total of 45 minutes for everything. It was just the amount of time it took for us to find everything in the store we needed. We were basically done with all our errands in less than an hour. You guys here are great!! We will keep coming back here for our autocare needs!

This experience started out awful but the staff quickly turned the situation around. Chris was kind and worked to fix the issue with our order of tires and installation. We left with a new set of tires within our budget and a smile.

I had purchased four new tires with road hazard warranty from the space center Walmart. I have a nail in one tire and thought good thing I bought the warranty. I was told to pull up to Bay 3, and I did, right up front, next to go, great. But, a lady mechanic greeted me and said they had other cars to work on before fixing a tire, she said it would be three hours. I showed her my paperwork and she told me to go to another walmart

I have no idea how this place took a service based on convenience and made it into a multi hour long ordeal. Its always pretty dead, but you want an simple 5 min oil change you will be waiting over an hour. Save the time and hassle they have an actual quick oil shop right across the street.

Edit: the manager is the only competent, friendly, professional employee there. There woman at the front this morning (3/9) was INCREDIBLY rude. I can’t brlieve she’s in customer service. If it weren’t for the manager, I’d never come back.I think a lot of the bad reviews are when the manager was out for back surgery for 3 months. Everything fell apart then. But he’s back, and we had an amazing experience this evening. My mom and I waited for her car to get done for 2 hours. When we went back to see if it was done, the manager was shocked we were still waiting. He was so nice and professional. He gave us a discount for our troubles, and kept his friendly attitude the entire time. I don’t know about the rest of the workers, but he deserves a raise! Will definitely bring my car here when it needs work.

Fast and efficient!

I went to Colorado Springs Platte Walmart roughly 3 months ago to have my oil change. After 15 minutes of trying to figure out what oil my car needs, they changed the oil. Cheaper than most places, I thought that I was winning!! I went back to Walmart today to get my oil changed again.... turns out they had stripped the oil filter the last time that I was here. They then sent me to another Walmart “because they didn’t have the tools.” They claimed that they were going to help the situation and fix the oil filter. Again failure to communicate and understand what they’re doing, they don’t have the oil and expect me to drive to oriley. All in all... I do not recommend ever bringing your car here unless you’d like to wait for hours, pay for them messing your car up and drive from location to location.

Prepare to have your time wasted. I went to get a tire replaced because it had a leak and they decided due to low tread depth I needed two tires or none. They would sell me the one I needed but they cant install it without selling me a second one? Support your local business owners, dont go here. (The other tire still has perfectly legal tread depth.)

Walked in to see what the wait time was to replace a tire and the lady behind the desk said she didnt know. She had to go ask the techs who told her it was 2 1/2 hours. Asked her what the cost would be to switch one tire to another rim and she told me I would have to go ask the techs, I politely ask again and she just looked at me and said go ask the techs. Not sure who is in charge of that department but they need to rethink whos working the counter. If a customer comes in seeking to pay for your services you should probably take car of them and not make them do your job.

This auto center is terrible they had 1 old man changing the oil on Saturday. A Very busy day I don’t know what kind of manager they have run this place. Very bad customer service was waiting outside for 30 minutes before someone came outside to let me know what is going on. The first thing they tell you is there’s 2 1/2 hour wait. Believe the reviews for this auto center. Personally, I will never come back here for an oil change.

My husband was just at this facility, showed up at 940am and just finished there at 1145am. He said he was the only car in line at the time and was not told it would take almost 2 hours to get the oil changed. To me that is bad customer service yes circumstances come into play such as being short staffed but good customer service would say to inform the customer of how long it may take and let them decide to leave or stay. I feel that 2 hours to change oil is crazy especially when Im there no other cars were waiting to be serviced.

They are lucky they even get a star. I have called them on two occasions for the TPMS Relearn problem. first time the guy said it would be free to do. The second she lied and said they dont do it TPMS relearn, and was very rude. Then when I asked to speak to a manager she hung up on me. It is sad when the Space center drive Walmart is turning more Ghetto then the Platte St Walmart. I think I will be taking my business to a different Walmart.

Walmart auto care center is a convenient place to take your car if you want to change a tire or perform maintenance in the car, etc. It is back up with the Walmart name and is manned by certified mechanics. It aldo has the advantage of having an auto parts right there with batteries, tires, oil, etc. You can shop in the store as you wait, or come and get your car at a later time. I really dont see any down side. The only thing is that, I dont think they dow full blown auto mechanics, but, it is understandable as this is not an specialized auto place, just general maintenance I think.

I would like to say that I am grateful to John, the Walmart Auto Center Manager and his team of mechanics for being by the book in their procedures practuce and for taking the time to explain why. I am in Colorado Springs on vacation. I have used Walmart Auto Center periodically for oil changes In Tenessee. I was opting to have the service which allows me to provide my oil, rather than than the standard service. I was buying a different grade of oil per the recommendarion of my Service Advisor at Subaru, and the mechanics at the Walmart Auto Centers in Tennessee never challenged this. Today at the Walmart Auto Center in Colorado Springs they did challenge this, and were firm and wouldnt back down. I respect them for being forthright and stubborn and bringing this misnomer to my attention. This tells me that John the Auto Center Manager, and his crew are very conscientious, ethical, and hard working. It is rather refreshing to find mechanics of this caliber these days.. Thank you for clarifying the situation today.

I stood waiting while employee talked with another customer, when she was done, she actually turned and ran away. I went inside to get help and they told me to pull up to the 3rd door and someone would be right with me. Again I waited standing next to my car and although 2 employees passed me, still noone helped or offered. After apprx. 20 min. an employee passed and said hed be right with me. 10 min. later a girl came out and helped. She said she didnt have the tire I needed, then she did, then she didnt. 2 days later they were to call me to let me know if the tire was in or not, of course no call. I called them and yes they had it. I dont blame the employees, they seem willing to do the work, there is just too much for the few people they have. Pay them well, treat them right, (including properly staffed) and they will pay with dedication and quality work.

Dropped my car off at 8:30 a.m. on a Sunday for oil change and new tires was told hour and a half went and grocery shopped and came back sat for half an hour 2 hours total check the status of my vehicle it hadnt even been started on yet meanwhile cars that showed up after me were already being worked on customer service is terrible stradley lady in the back doesnt want to help got irritated every time I asked her how much longer told him to pull my car and I left Ill find a better service would not recommend at all

Bunch of incompetant, lazy, morons. Made me wait 2+ hours to tell me that my tires are too low-profile to mount on my wheels. Believable, except I had the EXACT same tire, MOUNTED at the EXACT same Walmart, on the EXACT same wheel less then a month ago. They simply did not want to mount my tires. Absolutely awful customer service.

Today I stopped in to get an oil change. It was approximately 9:00 (probably sooner because I had just dropped my son off at school at 8:45). There were a couple of cars getting tire service and one person ahead of me in the lube line. I handed over my keys and began to walk around the store. At about 10:10, I went back over to the service area and my car had not been moved or serviced and there were several more cars lined up to get tire service. I asked the man who took my keys and order about my car and he said there were 6 or 7 cars ahead of me. So, my car had sat in the oil/lube line, unserviced for over an hour while they took other cars in the tire service line instead. I know, its just Walmart.. but come on! I expect my car to be serviced in the order it was receive! Isnt that how its supposed to be done? Especially since its an oil change? I asked for my key back and left! I wouldnt recommend these jerks if my engine was about to dry up, blow up and fall out! Save your precious time and money and go somewhere else!

Got my first car yesterday went to give it an oil change today 1/30/2018 and I paid $40 for high mileage which included 4.0q of oil. The automotive technicians ripped me off oil because my brother is a mechanic but was too busy today and I needed an oil change. He checked it tonight and it was BELOW the safe line. My brother took the car BACK to walmart with the RECEPIT where then a guy told my brother well were not handing out free oil and was a total b**** to my brother. My brother got fed up and told him we payed $40 for this change and they exchanged nasty words. The guy FINALLY comes out after the female says she recognized the car and he looks at it and see that its BELOW the safe line. He fills it with regular oil (not the oil they put the first time) and throws an attitude the whole time doing so. I will never take my car back there again especially since you guys obviously think females are dumb to cars. Wish I could give 0 stars.

We went to get new tires on our car and the staff was very nice and helpful but it took longer than expected to get everything done.

I took my truck in, it took over 3 hours and my rear tire leaks so i gotta bring it back. While i was waiting the guy was telling me how they cant find any good techs. So pretty much they got kids who dont know what theyre doing working on your vehicle!!!

I went in at 8am on a Saturday morning, bought 2 new tires, had them balanced and mounted . All this took less than 30 min. Couldnt be happier ! Everyone was great !

I arrived at 235 pm for an oil change. Was told it would be 1.5 hours. Its now 520pm and im still waiting. My truck has been in the oil change bay since 330pm. So disappointed.

Called to ask what the price was for a basic oil change. The man who answered the phone was completely rude for no reason. Then when I came in, he was even more rude. The lady who rang me up was very nice. But service was painfully slow, the people changing my oil were taking smoke breaks every 2 seconds. DONT GO HERE!!!!!!

I just wasted 4 hours of my life by going to this place to buy tires. I bought 4 new tires and ended up with a broken TMPS sensor that the tech broke. I had no choice but to go to the LHM Toyota to do the 3hour job. Plus the one hour I wasted plus gas to set up that appointment the prior day. Walmart refunded the $160 for the sensor. Going thru all that hazle was a wasted time. Later today, the manager called me after I reported the issue to the corporate office. He offered me a $20 gift card... Look manager., I don’t need 20 that I will waste on gas anyway from my home to your store and back home. Train your people before they touch customers cars. I’m not coming back, but I will leave this msg here for your future customers. I do not recommend this place.

Got a new set of tires less than six months ago and I bought a warranty for the new set. A tire popped out of nowhere after the same tire has been deflating on its own on and off for the past six months and they wont cover the new tire and I have to buy a new one even though I got a warrantee for the whole set. When I tried making an appointment so I can get the Donut off of my car they said they didnt have openings until next week but my friend called for an oil change and they can get her in the same day

Might be convenient, might be cheaper, but these people are not car people. They are complete morons. Made me wait 30 minutes after reluctantly giving up the keys to my Vette so I can watch the guy kill it 3 times while moving ot forward one car length cuz he doesnt know how to drive a stick, just to be told 4.5 inches is not enough clearance on the drive-over rack. Is this not something that they should have know up front? Maybe Im the moron for taking a Vette to WM.What was I thinking?

This is crazy, Ive been waiting 30 min. None of these employees have asked me once, what do I need. The girl told me to move my vehicle to the brown wall. I woke up early and was the first person there. The guy told me 20 mins. So I set my timer on my phone while I grabbed a few things. After 25 mins I went back and they havent even started on my car. I asked the guy whats the hold up,he says theyre working on it. Long story short, it took 1 hr and 15 mins. Did I get a sorry? Nope,a discount? Hell no! Waste of time

Oil change took me over an hour and 15 minutes and still waiting, although the manager told me 30-45mins from the beginning. Never come back again. You should read and trust all the reviews before you come here.

We were told 1 1/2-2 hours. It took 2 1/2 hours instead. Was ready to check out and one cashier grumbled because we had 22 items in our cart. Yes they have a 20 limit sign there, but the cashier was extremely rude about it. I am not at all satisfied with the customer service.

Place is a joke. Oil change takes 20 mins tops for each vehicle. 2 cars were in front of me and I ended up waiting over 2 hours cause their lazy workers took their sweet time. Go across the street to jiffy lube. At least you can watch them do their job in a quick manner. I had to double check the oil in my car that they actually replaced it and to make sure they replaced the filter. Thats how much I dont trust these guys. First and last time Im coming here.
