My dogs and I are loyal customers and will forever be as long as the same wonderful people inside there! They always do a good job they explain and show you what is wrong instead of just being left to wonder if theyre telling the truth or having to get a second opinion! They are so friendly and so sweet it feels like visiting family I cant say enough good things about this business I wish every car place was as trustworthy and wonderful as this place!

Dishonest and unequivocally unfair.1) Seemingly unfair pricing.2) Incomplete work.3) Outright dishonesty.4) Astonishingly poor customer service. The shifter cable broke on my Dodge Dart.Firstly, the description of the work said “shifter cable malfunction”, then it proceeded to list a “miscellaneous” part cost of $208 and coincidentally the labor cost was exactly $208.. I find it hard to believe that the cost of the part and the cost of labor to both be EXACTLY $208 each... you would think that the part would have a source referenced where the cost came from and perhaps the labor would be calculated in something such as cost per hour or something...Second. My car wasn’t able to shift gears upon dropping the car off. No other issues. Then, I turn the car on after picking it up and the check engine light is on.. It’s frustrating to leave a car at a shop for an issue, then turn the car on and notice that there’s another issue.. one that wasn’t there prior to dropping the car off. In my mind, this is incomplete work. When I drop my car off at the shop, it’s to fix issues, not acquire new ones...Third. I spoke with the mechanic three days prior to picking up the car and specifically asked “Is everything all good with the car? There’s no other issues? You all took it for a drive and ensured nothing else wrong”. And the response I got was “Yes. It’s all good. You can come pick it up now.” No mention of the check engine light.. all was supposedly fine. I wish they were at least honest in letting me know that the check engine light was on. I mean, I just feel like that’s straight up dishonesty. At least be honest and let me know what the issue is and if there’s anything else that I should worry about, that is the reason you take a car to the shop right? For their honest assessment, feedback, and disclosure of the issues with the customer.. right?Fourth. Negligent and confrontational customer service. After realizing the check engine light was on I asked for them to look into and fix the issue. They said 5 to 10 min. Then 20 min later I went back up to the counter and was told that it would be $90 for them to look into it and that they can’t get to it until two days. Then.. after basically insisting that this was unfair, they checked the error code and said it could be 1 of 12 things.. After a verbal exchange with the shop manager and her emphatically stating that there’s nothing wrong and the car is fixed, the mechanic understood my situation and looked into the issue more. How the manager could state so confidently that “everything is fine and there are absolutely no issues” when a check engine light came into existence while in their shop is absolutely beyond me .. I will state that once the shop technician heard me and became involved, he showed me the error codes and explained what the issue “might” be.. I appreciated that explanation.Long story short. I’m extraordinarily dissatisfied and I am honestly taken back by the dishonest and seemingly unfair operations of this establishment. Enough so for me to feel compelled to share and hope others take their business elsewhere. I honestly feel like I was treated unfairly and I hope others don’t have to experience what I did..Regarding the Response from the owner below. I provided feedback via the link provided five days ago and have not heard anything back.

Im doing this review on this Midas bc my elderly parents are not savvy enough to do themselves. Every time they have taken there vehicles in for service the bill is excessive. They just charged my 80 year old dad 500+ to change his spark plugs, the last time they said they did a tune up and only to find out they only changed one spark plug after taking the vehicle to a different mechanic 6 months later. My dads truck is 2013 with less than 80 thousand miles. There have been other issues but unfortunately to say I believe they have take my parents for a ride due to their age.I agree with other customer reviews that this place is over priced and dishonest. As a family we will be taking care of the maintenance and we will not be using Midas.

It has been two weeks and I am still having the same issues with my car! She’s upset and won’t fix the issue that I have on my car! Now she’s definitely mad that I called corporate but my issue is not fixed, and still won’t fix my issue even after I have proof and paperwork from another mechanic that her staff placed the wrong part on my car! Anyone reading this review please hear me out! They just like to scam people and take they’re hard earned money and not do the work! Stay away from this place please, especially if you’re black!

I will NEVER go back. They are; in my opinion Price Gouging. I went there to get some work done on my car and paid over $1,600. Yes, I agreed to have the work done there because I thought I could trust them, however, when I received the detailed print out (with part numbers) of what the charges were for parts, I was appalled! I did a lot of research on the exact parts, nowhere were they doubled to this expensive. I filed a formal complaint with Midas Customer Relations and waited for days for a return call from the manager there. I finally decided to f/u with customer relations when I didnt get the call back from the manager, and then received a call a hour later from her. She told me that the parts included their mark ups, and she felt I was given a good deal. But they were marked up double & triple the cost to purchase the parts anywhere else! So, just words to the wise, if you go here, be SURE you double check what parts they are using, and, how much they are actually costing before you agree to have work done. To sum it all up, after paying $1,600 to get my car fixed, 2 days later I had the same problem. And, they said well it was a different part that needed to be replaced and charged me AGAIN. Enough said; and lesson learned!

We loved that their work is under warranty and can take it back for free checkups. It was a first time for using Midas and I would use them again without hesitation. Trustworthy and fair price and a thorough job. Everything was explained to us in laymans terms and the lady at the desk, Angie, was efficient and very nice. I had my brakes repaired in Valpariso, Indiana onJuly 30, 2019. The bill was $997+. They also did an oil change and replaced a lug. On November 4 the brakes were shaking when applied. So, I took it in to our local Midas dealer on Market st. They called and said it would cost $550+ to repair. I was not happy. Angie at Midas called Jeff at the Valpariso Store. He refused to make it good unless I drove it up there so he could look at it. Right drive 600 miles in a Toyota Tundra on bad brakes. I went to Midas mainly because they are nationwide. Angie called Midas corporate with their help and the fine people at Chatt. Midas they covered the cost, despite The fact that the Valpariso dealer did the shoddy work. I am grateful for her integrity and willingness to help me out. Thank You and your team.

I am a frequent traveler from Atlanta, GA that was just passing through. When my car started sounding funny I pulled off on South Market Street in Chattanooga, TN. I broke completely down right off the exit. I was so distraught and scared and I had to be at work in Nashville in two hours. My mother frequently tells me that I am a woman and that I should not travel alone.Boy, this time she was right! The tow truck came and took me to Midas. He said that it was female owned and that the owner, Angela Scalla- Johnson would really take care of me. Her technicians gave me their professional opinion on my car needs and told me that the repair could not be completed that day since it was Saturday and near closing time. Mrs. Angela took me under her wing and personally shuttled me to the greyhound station so that I could catch the next bus. I have never felt so relieved. I did make it to work in Nashville a little late, but I made it.Midas on market took care of my car and they took care of ME! I would recommend these great people time and time again, especially if you are a lady that needs help! They will take the worry out of getting your care taken care of right! Thanks again to the great team at Midas on S. Market!!!

This is the 8th day total Ive went without my truck SO FAR and this location will not provide a rental car (others will) and its looking like 12 to 14 total because of poor work or bad business ethics sending a replacement part should be 3 to 5 business days from now meanwhile Im dead in the water with no way to work! or to do anything even though I paid the money when I was supposed too in the amount directed I held up my end of the bargin and you completely dropped the ball with yours .. can I get the money back till I get the part .... thats the way it works most of the time you pay after you see your cars fixed and also (it was supposed to ship yesterday) theres a place next door to where my truck currently is sitting that sells the parts and thousands of other suitable places closer to me! Corporate is VERY aware of this discrepancy to say the least! Ive probably spent 4 hours in total on the phone with them.(not joking) Pending their decision also my attorney may be getting in touch with you as wellYou should see, and hear soon enough.

My son goes to college in Chattanooga and was having an issue with his car overheating so I told him to get a few quotes for the repairs from some local shops. Unfortunately, I knew what the problem was but am currently too far away to make the repairs myself. The first place he took it to was Midas in Chanttanooga on South Market. They told him $341.89, so he told them to do the repairs. As a young adult not knowing how mechanics shops can be these days he never asked a few questions that he shouldve asked before having them make the repairs. So I ask them to send me the quote so I can see the break down of the fees.First, they charged him $89 for a diagnostic fee and only credited back $45 when he told them to make the repairs. I have worked in the automotive business for a few years when I was younger and have had repairs done dealers and professional shops before and never have I been charged a diagnostic if I was paying them to the repairs. When I spoke to the lady that stated she was the manager/owner of the shop, she stated that nobody in that area refunds the diagnostic fee. I called 3 random shops that in that area (Blackwell Automotive, Tire World, and Crown Dodge) and ALL 3 shops waive the diagnostic fee if you have your repairs done there.Second, I look up the part from the receipt and it is a Dorman part# 902-301 for $64.95. Knowing good and well that they get parts like this typically from a local parts store, I get prices on the this part from them and its half the cost of the price they charged me. Although Im aware some markup is required but TWICE the cost is outrageous. The price they charged me was the same price as an OEM part from Mopar, so why wasnt this used? Which leads me into my next concern.Third, the Dorman part #902-301 has several reviews about its continuous failure shortly after installed. When I say several its over half the reviews on several different websites. This means that we will more than likely be making this repair again in the near future. I feel confident in saying that they use poor parts intentionally so that customers have to keep coming back. I am aware there is a 90 day warranty but thats pretty pathetic when most parts from the auto store are a year and this part from Auto Zone and Advance Auto has a LIFETIME warranty. * I called to confirm this*Forth, the owner/manager refused to take a valid coupon for $20 off for this repair because Midas Customer Relations credited me the remainder of the diagnostic fee. Customer Relations was very helpful but because these locations are franchised they have limited control over their rogue owners.Based off the situation I feel this was a prime example of Midas taking advantage of a young college student that doesnt know any better and a parent that isnt nearby to help. For these reasons neither me nor anyone in my family will ever give another penny to Midas and I hope anyone reading this thinks twice before spending their hard earned money at this location.

I had a terrible experience here, a complete waste of $400. I went to get my catalytic converter replaced and they told me that my car also needed a tune-up. However, what they DIDNT tell me was that if they did not do the tune-up, the catalytic converter would be immediately ruined upon driving the car. After I drove the car and ruined the catalytic converter, they refused to give me my money back. They were argumentative when I went in to talk to them about it, and wouldnt even consider giving me a refund.Edit: The manager did call me again and she said that the company where they get the catalytic converters would replace it for free because of good customer relationships with Midas, but they said I would have to pay to have the catalytic converter installed (again). I felt a little like this was penny-pinching. So I am not completely satisfied with their solution, and they will definitely not get one more cent from me after this. However, I am relieved that I was at least able to get part of my money back.

Fully unprofessional experience with and misrepresentation by owner of this location, during oil change visit. Unfortunately, the prior positive reviews do not appear to be the typical experience at this location. Please do not waste your time here.I informed the technician that I was using a mass-mailing coupon for an oil change, prior to the beginning of the service, and reviewed the services covered by the coupon (tire rotation, etc). Technician relayed this information to owner and performed the service. Upon check-out (only), the owner refused to accept the coupon due to the participating locations only clause on the coupon. (The coupon did not specify any area location that was or was not participating). Despite my attempts to cooperatively question the application of the discount, owner was oddly argumentative throughout the entire conversation, and would not make any adjustment due to the representation (that the coupon would be accepted) that was made prior to the service. Ultimately, owner appears to have allowed a misrepresentation to have occurred, in order to receive a sale. Coming from a customer service background, I will never use this location again and will encourage my friends and loved ones to do the same.
