Great little coffee shop downtown! Chill vibes, great coffee and beer selection, and friendly people. Honey latte and pecan coffee cake muffin were both delicious. They have a very nice outdoor seating courtyard as well. Highly recommended!

I really liked this shop while visiting town. Nice location with indoor and large outdoor seating. Both employees were really cool and gave great service. Not all shops are like that. They also roast their own coffee. All around nice place that I’d go back to again.

Super cute! Coffee is great and Id recommend the backyard patio for a nice spot to get off of your feet from a long day of walking and shopping around king street. (Youll see a lot of local students here studying and hanging out)

Great experience and superb coffee! We tried the Italian cappuccino, macchiato, and cappuccino on our visit to Charleston, and it was an immaculate blend of perfectly roasted coffee and tasting notes. The owners were super friendly and we loved the outdoor patio area. Definitely one of the best coffee shops weve been to in Charleston and cant wait to go back!

Loved the cool vibes of Kudu Coffee and the fact that it is pet friendly. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. Sandwiches and lattes we ordered was great!

Super cool vibes and I do really like this coffee shop. Allows smoking cigarettes in the outdoor seating area?? Was pretty rough trying to enjoy our beverages so we had to leave. There were also 3 cigarette butts just hanging out next to where we were sitting.

Very cool vibes here, its got both indoor and outdoor seating. Food was a little pricey but you should expect that at a coffee shop. It feels very well connected to the city and is in easy walking distance from the coast 🤙🏼

I hung out here after flying into Charleston while waiting for our Airbnb check in. Its a really quaint space with friendly staff. They dont have WiFi, so it has more of an old fashioned feel. I found that it was a nice spot to drink a couple of beers and an espresso while reading my book. Its also a popular spot with the college kids.

The coffee and service is awesome. We tried the croissants as well, and they were hands down the best croissants Ive ever had.

I love Kudu. Its a cool little cafe off of King st which has an awesome outside seating area. The vibe inside is always super chill and the staff is fun and friendly.

The focus is on the coffee so youre not going to get a Starbucks type sugary sweet confection. They specialize in the coffee and making sure that is wonderful first.

The coffee was very good and I loved the atmosphere… but how does a coffee shop not have wifi? I am in town and needed to get some work done. I ordered my almost 4$ black drip coffee, I sat down, and was amazed there is no wifi. I was planning on being here for a couple of hours and getting food, but I am going to finish my coffee and leave. Shame though. The coffee is good and I loved the outdoor seating. I’d definitely come back if there was wifi.

Beautiful patio with tables distanced and a lovely fountain. Beer was delish. I tried the no boil IPA, and it rocked my afternoon!

First time today and it was amazing! We opened up our Google maps and saw it a block from the Hotel we are at and decided to go there. Wife had a mimosa I had a macchiato both were top notch! Beautiful courtyard with tons of shade cool plants and an awesome fountain to provide just that right amount of noise on a Sunday morning coming down feeling from a wild Saturday night in the Holy City! Must go if your in town!!

Great place overall. Small hiccup with the person working the register - they couldn’t be bothered to stop talking to (possibly) friends/other coworkers hanging out at the bar. I was made to feel like I was interrupting their hang out when I was trying to order. After I ordered, I had to wait 20 minutes for my drinks because the same worker either didn’t attend to them properly or didn’t make them at all. When I went to ask about the status of the order, I had to compete with the friends/coworkers for attention and then was interacted with as if I was an unwelcome burden. There was major shade and attitude through the experience. Great place and offerings, but heinous customer service.

Well hidden in downtown Charleston this cafe and beer brewery is a perfect date night or just a great night out with friends. The atmosphere is welcoming, very hipster and classic at the same time.Super friendly staff they know their coffees well and beers. The menu isnt just coffee and beer but also deserts and several sandwiches.This location its just off of king street its quaint and open the view is the view of old Charleston, the steps leading up have that old school feel to them just take in the view, the atmosphere, its a space to relax and talk.Not sure if WiFi is available due to going here in the mist of the COVID pandemic. Once we are back to normal I am sure to come back to sit and relax listen to their jazz music.

Very nice coffee and beer bar. They have lots of tables inside and a beautiful courtyard to sit outside. I had iced latte and I really enjoyed it. My husband liked his beer. Kudu has nice and relaxing atmosphere. They also sell pastries.

We enjoyed stopping in this little coffee shop while it rained. I ordered a chai latte and it was very good. The only thing I wasnt a huge fan of was the amount of cinnamon sprinkled on top. The boys had sugar cookies and devoured them.

But I drove down here just to get some work done away from my house and wasted the drive to find out there was no internet connection. Seems like they should be able to afford WiFi selling $4 cups of coffee. Gah!

Surprisingly well staffed (there were 4-5 people working when we visited) and with great coffee and beer options. Its casual but welcoming with indoor and outdoor seating available. Food options are limited to snacks, but the croissant we had was delicious. Worth seating down if you can find space.

Kudu Coffee and Craft Beer is a very nice Cafe in Downtown Charleston for a quick bite and coffee drinks between museum visits or sightseeing ... Or great craft beer and Mimosas. The Holly City wheat beer, dirty chai latte, banana bread and the toasted curried chicken were very good. The staff is polite and the ambiance pleasant.

Ended up being our go-to morning stop while in Charleston. Offer several nondairy milks and yummy quiches and scones

Food was great and the service as well. One of the cooks realized that my sandwich was not put in, but he immediately corrected it and was very efficient.

Probably one of the top 5 places we miss most since leaving Charleston. One of our favorite places to get a beer or coffee. Their courtyard is such a spacious and relaxing setting.

We had a good experience at Kudu. The cold brew is tasty, the banana bread is perfect, their croissants all look great. The staff was friendly and let our dog cool off inside while we ordered. They were also thoughtful enough to bring water out to the patio for her.

Literally my favorite little spot in Charleston. As a college of Charleston student I have spent hours upon hours studying at kudu. From the very beginning the manager took time to get to know me, greet me and remember my order! When he’s not hands on helping, the other employees are always so welcoming and always share the best recommendations.Highly recommend the cinnamon iced tea with a bit of honey or sweetener. It’s the perfect cool off drink in the hot Charleston weather. And if you’re looking for a snack an employee recommended me Zappos chips & cream cheese for dipping. Weird combo but the best side snack!

Great local place a block from the Francis Marion and wonderful alternative to Star****s. The quiche was some of the creamiest Ive ever had and where else can you get a $4 mimosa or pint? Ill be back for beer in the courtyard if the weather clears!

Hip space. Cappuccino was pretty good - although if this is small their big is huge. Soy cappuccino was overheated and a bit curdled. Jackson Pollock design on it was pretty cool though. No WiFi so now row of students with Macs.

Cool coffee shop in downtown Charleston. I enjoyed the latte, but the atmosphere was too lively for my preference. I came here to read and study for school, but most other patrons were there to have loud conversations with their friends. This is a spot I would recommend for a good night out, but look somewhere else if want a quiet nook to enjoy your book.

Ive been going here for several years and its one of my favorite places to head for breakfast in the morning or go in the evening to relax. The only thing I wish they would have is Wi-Fi, but other than that, its great!

Five stars for the beer/coffee combo. The beer list is terrific. Definitely a specialty drink place (lattes, iced drinks). Their drip coffee is average, but the lattes and such is where they shine. Well priced and also have a selection of pastries. I will def come back!

A very popular cafe serving the best coffee and a great food (light) selection. The Cafe is very subtle and you could easily walk by if you weren’t looking for it, just one small sign hanging above the doorway. Lots of indoor seating as well as a large shady outdoor courtyard on the side.They offer a large food selection ideal for a light breakfast, brunch or lunch. My cinnamon bagel with cream cheese was delicious! The coffee is excellent, one of the best I’ve had in Charleston during my week visiting (on par with Second State Coffee).

Super cool coffee shop. This is right next to the hotel we stayed in so we dropped in one morning for a coffee and had some of their banana bread. Great locale - would recommend for a cup of coffee or light bite.

As a tourist this coffee/brewery was near our tour stop. I must say I loved stopping here! It’s a hidden gem❤️. We had the chicken salad sandwich which may be pre-made, but was awesome (hot pressed on a panini)! Then there nitro cold brew is a solid staple, with great options to accompany it!

$9 for two coffees. They were pretty bitter and not our favorite. Could just be our taste didnt match what they had. The staff was cool, helpful, and very fast w our orders!

I love the atmosphere. Customers are even friendly. They used paper cups today. Hopefully they will be back to using the huge mugs soon. So it wasnt the complete experience that I was anticipating. No leaf on the surface of my latte...only a lid.

Gated courtyard seating means you dont have to worry about leaving your bike on the street, and its a one-stop shop for everything you might need after a casual Sunday ride - craft beer on tap, excellent coffee, and butter-heavy pastries.

Love the hazelnut iced coffee here. They have large indoor seating area as well as a super quaint courtyard area for that true Charleston feel.

Stellar coffee. Like some of the best I’ve had. I got a lavender almond milk latte and it was to die for. The coffee was strong and floral and incredibly frothy. Very cool atmosphere and fun staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

What a great laid back environment for some eats and coffee. I went there to get some design work done and found that they dont offer WiFi, it was quite refreshing to just sit there and enjoy the ambiance without distraction. The coffee was great and Ill have to take a visit up the road to Springbok Roasters.

Half of what makes a coffee place great is the atmosphere. This place has a welcoming friendly vibe, and of course delicious coffees! After exploring downtown Charlestown on a hot summer afternoon, Kudu was recommended by a local. Its location- off the beaten path, but right in the heart of downtown- made it a perfect midday retreat. Their patio was breezy, shaded and dog friendly! Their iced coffee was fantastic as well as the croissants, and just what I needed. Cant wait to return!
