I would like to give a special shout out to Millo (sales) and Carl (finance) for making this a smooth process for me.We visited this location yesterday to look at some vehicles in person. Unfortunately due to the chip shortage the ones I liked did not have sunroofs. Mills searched around to see what they had and ended up finding a vehicle that had not been listed yet because they had just received it and it was being inspected. He took us over to see it and worked hard to make sure we left with this vehicle. He is not your typical sales man and was not overbearing during this process.Carl made the signing part simple and went over everything thoroughly with us. And allowed us to take our time in selecting the extra options we wanted without rushing us.This process was more than a sale to both of them and I really appreciate it.Not only were these two great but the entire staff overall were so polite. I loved all the congrats once I finished signing.I definitely would come back and do business with the Jim Ellis Volkswagen family again!

Very poor service. I towed my 08 GTI there because it wouldn’t start. It took several days to get in contact with Scott in service. It only happened when I reached out to him over and over after those first few days. After initial contact and me telling him the things I needed them to look into he was still. Dry difficult to get in contact with and it only happened because I reached out over and over. In the end, they had the car for 6 business days, didn’t diagnose the car not staring and didn’t look into my sunroof issue. When I picked it up, I asked if it started right away. The service person who brought me the car said yes. The first time I tried to start the car after getting it back it wouldn’t start. Won’t be back ever.

Warning! I came to get my car serviced but they had to order a part the total price was $811 I paid $193 upfront but I had to take my car home until the part came in I was told Monday or Tuesday (4-5days)9 days later my part came in (tues)I had my car towed the next morning no Communication or updates on when my car will be ready or even started until 530 that evening long story short I end up having to call every day until Friday when finally my car was ready they sent me a invoice for the remaining balance which was over $700 my advisor Dijonay aka Dee refused to adjust My remaining balance using my previous payment and hung up the phone but did correct her error and sent a different invoice with correct remaining balance so unprofessional my experience here was not what I expected at a dealership I came here just knowing I would spend more but I thought the service and treatment would reflect why the charge so much. This was my first time here and it was HORRIBLE!!! I do think most of the problems stemmed from my advisor Dijanay aka Dee not being knowledgeable of her job or possibly not trained properly her customer service skills was lacking she left me with overall bad experience for new customers like me and even old

I don’t usually leave reviews but I wanted to for this place. Listen, we all know how sketchy it can feel trying to deal with random service departments and mechanics. Jim Ellis service department has only ever been upfront and honest with me about my Volkswagen. I’m having a hard time getting a hold of them right now, but I can’t rate them anything other than 5/5 stars. They are kind, honest, quick, and modest with their pricing. This is a good place. I can really tel that they’re always doing their best to give me the best service they can. I thought they were trying to swindle me out of a few hundred dollars by telling me my tires had “dry cracking” and needed to be replaced. I didn’t get them replaced on their recommendation because I didn’t see any cracking myself. Then I was on the highway and one of my tires popped! When I called triple A they showed me the dry cracking on the inward side of the tire! It goes to show that they took the time to inspect my car thoroughly. Next time I’ll believe them when they tell me there’s an issue! Good honest people work here.

We went into Jim Ellis VW to learn more about the Atlas and (knowing the crazy state of the car industry right now) possibly get on a waiting list for future vehicles. After searching through reviews online, we had made our appointment with Zoe and it was the best decision we could have made! She was patient and listened to our needs, she was accommodating and explained the differences in trim levels while searching inventory to give us exposure to as many types as possible. And then we hit the lottery when a new Atlas delivered that day checked all our boxes - We drove off the lot that afternoon with the perfect car. The customer service was amazing from start to finish - We never felt pressured, and the facts were always discussed up front and in full transparency. Michael and the whole team were great. I had a flashing glow plug light come on while driving first thing in the morning. After calling Jim Ellis I was advised to bring the car ASAP to get it checked. The problem is, they were for booked 10 days in advance, but Michael promised at least to take a look at the car and do some diagnostics the same day since this was an emergency and its not advised to drive the car.Later in the afternoon I get a call from Michael. They didnt only firehouse the problem, but they also had the part, installed it, tested it, and it was all ready to go!!Extremely pleased!!

I had an excellent experience thanks to Dilan Gonzalez with the Kelley Blue Book Atlanta team. I went online to get an offer from a dealer to buy my 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS. I was happy with the offer but skeptical of the process, and fully expected a bait and switch. Dilan explained everything; I was in and out in less than an hour, and it all went exactly as described. Go see Dilan if you want a fast and transparent way to sell your car. I liked this process because it allowed me to skip all the nonsense of trying to sell on FB Marketplace or Craigslist.

I was very happy with the sales experience I had buying a new Taos. The salesman I dealt with was Myles Tipley. He was attentive to what I was looking for in the new car, had a pleasant and calming demeanor, and never tried to pressure me into something other than what I was looking for. I bought my last car, a VW GTI, from Jim Ellis in 2016 and had a great experience that time as well.My only criticism of the experience was that after I’d chosen the vehicle and the price was set, there was a bit of pressure applied when talking to the finance analyst regarding the auto loan about purchasing a number of the extended warranties.

I love to refer business to good, honest organizations, but I could never send even a stranger to this dealership, let alone a friend. Today, my ID.4 is on its 55th day in the service department after mistakes and lies.Im an understanding person, and I get that the parts shortage has much more to do with supply chains than with Jim Ellis. However, I was told to pick up my car after around 30 days, that it was fixed, only to make my way up there and find that one of the safety issues was not addressed, a malfunctioning seat belt. I had to discover it wasnt fixed. they were going to send it off still broken. good news though, The part is in Jacksonville and we can get it very quickly That was a lie too. 25 days later Im still waiting. I have to beg for every update. the front desk ducks my calls. Dont buy from these pirates, and certainly dont trust them to service your car.

Came in for an oil change and ECU update on a Saturday — even with an appointment, took them 2+ hours.Left a pretty nasty dent in one of my rims, too, and when I pointed it out to them before leaving, 1) showed me a very grainy picture from the front of the car to claim the rim was dented before and 2) they told me I’d have to come back sometime during the Monday-Friday lunch hour if I wanted them to take a second look (which I haven’t gotten around to doing yet because I live 30 min away and work during the week).All in all a pretty major inconvenience for an oil change, I’ll definitely look for a different dealership for as long as my car is under warranty.

Don’t fall into the trap of believing these good reviews, they plead with those leaving bad reviews to take them down…this happened with us. This is a bait and switch dealership.In my life, I have never dealt with a dealership that solely cares about getting extra dollars from you as much as this one. We purchased a Tiguan last year and have taken the car for repairs more times than we can count (near 10 times in one year). The service department has always been extremely unprofessional by way of not understanding that this is a car YOU sold to us that is currently under “warranty”. After the first few repairs, we were extremely displeased and decided to leave a bad review…they contacted us and pleaded with us to remove it and we did. Yet we feel obligated to let people know that buying a car from this place has been an absolute NIGHTMARE.The last straw was today where that same car we REPEATEDLY have taken for repairs broke down in the state of Alabama. We called this location to see what services were available to have the car towed and they did nothing. Told us to “call them tomorrow”.I would rather walk barefoot for the rest of my life than to trust this place with another vehicle. Buyer be warned.*UPDATE* 7/25:The number they included on their response does not work and we’ve been trying all week. Save yourself the time.

HelloNot long ago, Volkswagen purchased a new 20-year Passat R line with finance.Since August, my existing car broke down, so I was thinking about buying it, but I heard that there is a Korean dealer in Atlanta because I like Volkswagen, so we talked about it and thought about buying it.My grandfather passed away from late September to October, so I went to Korea in a hurry, but as I was re-entering Atlanta from Korea on Saturday, the 10th, I visited by Atlanta Volkswagen dealership to buy a car.I was told to write the contract first because the car I liked on the Internet was not stocked yet, so I test-drive the car with the same color option trim and bought it at the end of 5 hours and came back to Montgomery, Alabama.I had too much luggage.I came back home feeling complacent because I needed to adjust to the time difference and because I was in such a hurry to leave the company for a long time, and because I was in a test drive. When I arrived at home and I checked the exterior and interior of the car, and found that the car was not able to be restored with black marks and A-pillar scratch trunk hinges.Ive been commuting to and from work, so the tire balance and wheel alignment didnt fit at all. When I told the dealer these facts because the rear parking aid (alarm) or the front vehicle operation brake (automatic deceleration) does not work properly and the wind noise or road noise is so severe if it exceeds 50 miles per hour, he was lucky in two hours, so he finished the inspection quickly and he said the Passat car was perfect . When I will come to Atlanta, he said hed test-drive with me.Whats more disgusting is that its my first time buying a new car, so I didnt know the other options (accessories), so I thought it was the original condition that my car had no tints and leather protectors. So I asked the dealer how much tint it was and he said 399 dollars. Yeah, well, I thought that its a new car, so I had to invest.But when I got home, I looked at the contract and found out that it should have basic tanning and leather seat protection.When I called the dealer, he said he was mistaken. He said he would do it when I will come up to Atlanta because of a car problem and tinting.I am so angry now and I think that I have no eye for people, not because of the Korean sentiment but because of the fact that there are a lot of discounts when purchasing cars in the U.S. since it is the end of the year with Corona.Im glad Im working in the quality department in the car manufacturing industry and my coworkers are familiar with cars.I almost fell for it thinking that I had a bad luck with the carIve written down all these facts, but can I get a refund or a car exchange if I tell Volkswagen headquarters about my claim or complaint? I feel so bad and I feel bad and annoyed when I ride a new car every day.Help me.The trim in the rear seat’s door does not fit at all and there are too many sealers in the drivers compartment. Obviously, this car has not been inspected properly or is a defective vehicle.시차적응도 필요하고 회사를 장기적으로 비웠다는 너무나 급한 마음과 어차피 시승도 했다는 마음에 색깔만 다른차량이라고 안일한 생각하며 집에돌아오고 외관 및 내관을 검사해보니 차량시트에 검은자국 및 A필라쪽 스크래치 트렁크 힌지쏠림 및 원상복구가 안되는 차량이더라구요.추후 회사 출퇴근을 하다보니 타이어밸런스나 휠얼라인먼트가 아예 안맞더라구요. 후방주차보조(알람)나 주행 시 전방차량능동브레이크(자동감속)도 제대로 작동이 안되고 시속50마일이 넘으면 풍절음이나 노면음이 너무나 심해서 딜러한테 이러한 사실들을 말했더니 본인은 2시간안에 운이좋아서 검사도 빨리끝내고 파사트차량이 원래 소음이 심하다. 한번 애틀랜타 올때 점검시승해주겠다라고만 하고 아무렇지 않아 하더라구요.더 괘씸한건 제가 신차구입이 처음이라 차량기타옵션(액세서리)를 잘 몰라서 제차에 선팅과 가죽보호제가 안발라져 있는 상태가 원래 그런줄 알았습니다. 그래서 딜러한테 썬팅이 얼마냐 물어보니 399달러라고 하더라구요. 저는 그래 신차니까 투자해야지 했습니다하지만 집에 와서 계약서를 보니기본썬팅과 가죽시트보호제가 되어있어야 하더라구요.딜러에게 전화를 하니 자기도 착각이 있었다 착오가 있었다는 둥 차량문제랑 썬팅때문에 애틀랜타 올라오면 한번 해주겠다라고 사과 한마디 없이 능청스럽게 넘어가더라구요.지금도 너무 화가나고 미국이 코로나와 연말이라 대부분 차량구매 시 할인이 많은데 괜한 한국인 정때문에 차량뽑기가 잘못됐다가 아니라 내가 사람보는눈이 없구나라고 생각이 듭니다..제가 자동차제조업계에서 품질부서에서 일을 하고 주변직장동료들이 자동차에 빠삭해서 다행이지아무것도 모르고 뽑기운이 나빴구나 생각하며 어물쩡 넘어갈 뻔 했네요...이런 사실들은 가감없이 적었는데 클레임이나 컴플레인을 폭스바겐 본사에 말을 하면 환불이나 차량교환이라도 받을 수 있나요?? 기분이 너무 더럽고 하루하루 신차타는 기분이 안나고 짜증만 납니다..

I worked with Deni to lease a 2022 Volkswagen Taos. Throughout my life Ive worked with many salespeople to buy/ lease vehicles, but by far working with Deni was my best experience. Through the internet I researched the model and trim level I wanted, so at this point I was only interested in shopping the lease price. Let me say, I hate with a passion the whole rigamarole of going into a showroom and being cajoled by the salesperson. The obligatory 30 minute wait as the salesperson has to speak to his manager about the deal would drive me crazy. I called the dealership knowing the car, trim level I wanted - I was then transferred to Deni. We spoke for a bit, then finalized the negotiations via text. Then I visited the showroom to test driver my car. It was the most straight forward car leasing experience Ive ever had. Deni was a person of his word, he promised a certain lease price, which btw was the lowest I was quoted while shopping. Hes not pushy - he didnt try to persuade me to upgrade or up-sale me. There wasnt a 30 minute conversation with his manager. I was out of the showroom with my new car in less than 2 hours. Deni was an honest, straight -shooter salesperson which I very much appreciated.Gary W

I recently bought a New 2021 Arteon from Jim Ellis VW and the experience was great. I have been in the car business and dread the games that most dealers play. But a Jim Ellis it was an excellent experience. Up front totally transparent and i was treated with respect and integrity. My Sales advisor was Millo a very knowledgeable and polished gentleman who i actually enjoyed having conversation with. It truly did not feel like i was buying a car it was like talking to a friend. Through the process Millo introduced me to Mike his Mgr and we ended up having a conversation for about a half hour about the automobile business. I look forward to going back for service and seeing them again. I can without any doubt say Jim Ellis by far is the best dealership group in the ATL they have practically every brand imaginable. I will only buy my cars from Jim Ellis going forward. Again thank You Millo and Mike for making it such a great experience. When the engine in our sons Jeep blew, we had to make some decisions on what to do...we came across an ad for this Tundra, but I didnt want to make a rash decision. I emailed Anna in the internet sales department with a few questions, which she promptly responded back. After deciding not to repair the Jeep, I emailed Anna asking if they could get me an out-the-door price as my husband had just undergone shoulder surgery and would not be up for the long drive and the haggling. Anna happen to be out that day, so Christopher in the internet sales dept put me in touch with Phil Coleman who was able to get me a drive-out price that we were good with. We made the hour drive to the dealership where they had the truck waiting for us to test drive. We noticed that a headlight was out, so they quickly went and replaced it and made the buying process quick and worth the trip. Highly recommend!

I went to Jim Ellis to address and issue with a water leak and an airbag indicator light. They cleaned the drain tubes and were unable to fix the passenger airbag as the part is on backorder.However, they also gave me a list of 4 other items that needed to be replaced, which would run me about $3000. I took the car to a different car repair shop I trust and had them look over the concerns. On every item the shop told me the parts were in good working order, or needed only a small fix that would be significantly easier and cheeper. I ended up saving almost $2500 by taking the car elsewhere and can no longer trust this dealership with my car. I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone seeking service!

Full disclosure: I wasnt able to buy from Jim Ellis because I was in the market for an ID.4 and the inventory is really tight right now. However, I wanted to call out the great sales rep I worked with, Hussien Ahmadu.Hussien took the time to talk me through all sorts of things about electric cars, most of which was new information. He definitely told me about the features and advantages of the ID.4, but he ALSO just educated me in general. Given the inventory situation, he didnt try to put me in a Tiguan or something or use the hard sell on me.I had a great test drive with Hussien as well. I got to put the car through its paces and he did NOT hold on for dear life when I told him I wanted to stop short to test the brakes ... and yeah, we laughed too. Hussien is just a good human -- one of the sales rep out there who defies that shady car guy reputation. If I wasnt under a little pressure to deal with my own car, I would have waited to buy from Hussien, for sure.Last thing, I know positive reviews sometimes seem fake but I promise, Im not a bot, nobody is paying me to write this stuff ... go buy yourself a car from Hussien at Jim Ellis!
