Great home store in Brooklyn I was able to find some pillows for my son new apartment while visiting him from Florida, the lady at the store was really nice and gave us great recommendations of places to eat and visit while my stay. I also appreciate their store rules for shopping specially for someone of my age I want to feel safe when im at a store, coming from Florida the stores there dont put much effort on following the health regulations

Love the concept of supporting artisans I picked up a mug and spoon as I was travelling and trying to pack light but if I was local I would probably pick one of everything, amazing selection!

Poor customer service. The first time I gave them a pass and figured maybe it was just a hard day, but then the woman at the counter was even more snappy the second time around. Unfortunate because I had been excited to buy some things from this place. Left feeling uncomfortable by my experience here.

Love the store and picking up things here from time to time but the store vibes can be pretty unfortunate. I’ve experienced this a few times at the store where the sales woman can go from friendly to snappy in an instant. Makes you feel like she just wants you to make a purchase, say nothing and get out.

Had an unfortunate and terrible experience today! my husband and i stopped by on the way to meet friends for dinner and were told we could only be inside the store if we were picking up an online order. when i mentioned we were in the neighborhood for dinner and to check out a few shops, the sales associate then said that unless we were there to buy something specific, we couldn’t be inside the store? so discerning especially when the sign on their front door is asking for help to save small businesses in BK!

I came all the way from New Rochelle they have a great selection of jewelry and I was able to find a perfect gift for my girlfriend for Valentines. Pretty straightforward rules when you get to the store: use hand sanitizer, wear your mask and there’s a limit of people allowed while you’re inside the store. Hey! I’d rather do all that than catching covidOverall great experience

Big sign posted outside: “no dogs allowed due to health code regulations.” Also, “No food or drink”. The other day I learned that, in fact, they do not allow dogs. This was promptly announced when I walked in with my pup having somehow missed the admittedly giant sign. And yet... they sell home decor. Home of the Brave does not make or sell any sort of food. Why the weird prohibitions and unwelcoming vibe? Hard pass.

Due to the pandemic a lot of my fav shops had closed, sad to see that we are losing great places to shop and its unfair that the government is not stepping in to help the independent local shops, we all need to help to keep the few local shops standing so Greenpoint doesnt become the next Williamsburg.I been a supporter of Home of the Brave since it open their doors, one of Greenpoints first home good store, You can find the perfect gift for any occasion, I really appreciate their effort to keep us safe and healthy during these new strange times, I wish more shops would follow the health procedures to prevent the spread of COVID while allowing to shop in store.Maybe some people find it unnecessary but I do like the fact that they constantly clean the store and make sure you wear your mask also to limit the amount of people in the store.

The vibe in this store is great! Beautiful products and the curation is immaculate. This is a place that feels like a museum and a cool home at the same time. Their ceramics selection is great from really affordable pieces to more of the fine art one of a kind pieces. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly allowing me to browse and answer questions about their makers.Cool spot in the heart of Greenpoint!

Their selection is gorgeous but the prices are absurd for what youre getting - I love supporting local artists and craftsmen but seems to me like theyre taking advantage of the yuppie demographic in Greenpoint... tea.

I was so excited to bring my friend here as she just moved to the neighborhood. Unfortunately the woman working that day was so unfriendly and unwelcoming that it destroyed our mood to shop in this store.I picked up a bath mat from a stack and showed it to my friend. When I refolded and placed it back on the stack the employee rushed over and with great exaggeration started to tidy up the pile that I just touched. I have spent years working as a visual merchandiser and I know that I respectfully put back anything I touch in the way that I find it. This employee was trying to make a point by coming over and tidying up the stack of bath mats, making me feel so uncomfortable. The worst part is that I decided to purchase the bath mat in the end. When she rang me up she didn’t say a single thing. The silence was so awkward that when she handed me the shopping bag I was the one who said “thank you” and her reply? A very cold and nasty “You’re welcome.”I haven’t been back since and don’t plan to ever shop here ever again.
