I consider this Giant my home store which is why I am so disappointed with the seafood department today as they normally have great service and product. I placed an order for 4 lbs of crab clusters Saturday and they were hot, seasoned and good. Today, I arrived home with lukewarm crab leg clusters and I live 2 miles away. My bag had just loose crab legs and only 3 clusters. The person serving behind the counter stated this was her 1st time in this department and she was alone. I saw crab legs that had been cooked and just sitting when I placed the order and those are probably the legs that ended up in my bag as one Ive tasted the crab meat was mushy. It appears as if these loose legs made up the majority of my order for 2 lbs of crab legs clusters. What a disappointment!

I love to shop here. Frequenting at least 5 times a week.My favorite department is the tasty Bakery Department. Love my lemon cakes!Seafood department never disappoints with their irresistible crab legs.Prices are also unbeatable. The deli department has all my favorite meats and cheeses for my picky family!! I have a few favorite employees including Norman, Nick and a cheery young lady with lashes, April!Let me not forget an acceptable service in Pharmacy, that has me in and out. Also having received my covid vaccine here, . Amazing.This location is worth the time and travel. 5 Stars for good customer service.

Great people. Staff is always helpful. No complaints on the food except for the rotisserie chicken. I have some nasty pictures of that. However, I hope that was a one time thing. I have bought many in the past 8 years. I gave them 5 stars even though I had one very bad experience. Great staff. Highly recommend over Pointer Ridge or Crofton.

Its the cleanest Giant Ive visited. And there are 3 relatively close to me that I can choose from. I like the employees here, the options are always stacked. And most if all there isnt a bad smell as you walk in.My number 1 go to grocery.

Going downhill! Waited 15 minutes at the seafood counter and when the person finally arrived, after two calls to their customers service desk, not so much as an apology. Manager never responded.

Theres a grocery store much closer to me, but Id rather drive to this Giant because I know Im going to get friendly service (Thomas in customer service and many of the cashiers so friendly and helpful - one always greets my children with a cheerful, Hello, customer in training!!). The managers ensure the place is clean and the food is fresh. This is my favorite neighborhood grocery store!

Comfortable shopping experiences. Price is good depending on your purchases. Quality of the products are good. Much more crowded now especially on weekends. Not enough check out!

This is one of the better Giant food stores in this area. This store has more items and products than other Giant food close by...from now on I will travel to go here 1st before the Upper Marlboro giant or the Bowie one.

Always friendly service but typically takes forever to check out through one of the traditional lines. If you are self checkout savvy you can be in and out in no time! Just be sure to check if the doors are all working. With covid they only have the entrance on the east end of the store open for entry and exit. Happy shopping!

My service was very good today. I was able to quickly find what I wanted. I was also able to quickly check out. My cashier was great.

Clean, spacious, and has a wide variety of regular and organic products! Peaceful, too.

There were quite a few young people working. They were mannerable and seemed to be helpful.

This is the best Giant in the Washington Metro area. Recently, strapped for a celebratory gift for my retiring friend, I found help from Lisa, in the balloons and flowers section. She helped me out, calmed my worries and sent me on my way happy and calm and ready to celebrate. Thank you.

Went to get a vaccine today and the store staff was very nice. This was my first time visiting this store. From just being at the front area of the store and upstairs, it was very clean and organized.

Giant in Bowie is great, always able to get in and out quickly.

This Giant Food is bright, clean and pretty well stocked. Weve been shopping here for years. I like the fact that it doesnt have that old stale aroma some grocery stores have. Alot of the staff have been at this location for years and are friendly.

Giant is nice I prefer it over Safeway because Im familiar with where everything is. Things seem fresher and atmosphere better.. but I definitely would rather go to Aldi first!

Cool minus the deli...they do not clean off the slicer when they switch meats...as someone who spent 11 years in food...i think that is ridiculous..i shouldnt have to ask you to clean the obviously dirty slicer before you cut my meat...(reply) no i dont need to be confident if your staff has to be told to clean a dirty slicer......i dont get deli meat from there anymore.

Giant at Bowie is a great place for groceries. Everything is neatly organized and easy to find.

Delicious expresso cake, ok sushi (get the eel). I like ALDI better for prices however, but if you want a hard to find ingredient go to Giant because of their wide variety and ingredients. They even have saffron here!

They never clean or maintain or repair any card readers in self check out. Every single time I go I take 2 cards, scan 3-5 times, get 1 rejected, switch to mag stripe, etc. I take the exact same cards with me EVERY where else and never have a problem.

We did some shopping earlier this morning (a Friday) at the store. The store associates were busy restocking shelves and cleaning and just generally making the store awesome. As usual, there was a good variety and selections of food, the store was clean, the people were very friendly and helpful, and the prices were decent. Instead of using the self-checkout hand scanners, I used my cell phone (Android Pixel 2XL) and the Giant Scan-It! app. I was able to scan everything and drop it into a bag very quickly. Checkout was a breeze: all I had to do was scan my phone at the register and we were on our way in no time. Very cool!

Still wont stock shelves even though nearby stores do. Employees appear to see customers as annoyance, not reason for them having a job. Store use to be very nice but not any more.

I frequent this location. Their pretty decent compared to other locations I wont go to. Their pretty good about stocking and proving quality products. The selections are decent and Im normally able to get everything I need or want on each visit. The employees seem to be pretty friendly and helpful. I appreciate that they try to maintain a clutter free and clean parking lot!

They sell organic food along with conventional food. Many times Ive purchased organic foods that have been reduced because theyre past their sell by date. Food is still fresh. Best to visit early in morning to get great picks at this reduced price bin. This works for me as were on a fixed income. So far, the District Heights Giant is the only one I know that sells good, reduced price produce.

This location is my favorite Giant. The staff is friendly, literally is all departments, and provides great customer service. The store layout is functional and not a lot of surprises in relocating products. Generally supports the community (e. g. senior day, student day...need more discounts for military & first responders).

It is huge and well stocked no doubt. I wouldnt give it a 100% in organization tho... The prices are fair, and the Pharmacy section has most drugs (if not all) strictly on prescription basis. A good place for grocery shopping, no doubt.

Im not a Giant regular, but upon entry it felt kinda clustered. That may stem from a lack of familiarity, but the staff was easy-going and approachable which was of help. Overall good experience.

I went to this one to do its inventory (I work for a company called RGIS). I do get a good look around and it was clean and orderly. I noticed some of the prices and they seemed to be reasonable. I do like their selection of natural and organic foods. The staff was helpful to the customers I saw them interact with.

Cleaned carts awaited me. Kudos to the associate for that.

I’ve been living in the area and visiting this store for 17 years. The reason for 4 stars is the customer service counter staff are not very customer friendly. They never smile, and make you feel like you’re bothering them. Everywhere else around the store the staff are very friendly/helpful.The bathrooms are disgusting. If you want to lose your appetite just visit the restroom before shopping.They can also expand their organic produce section more, although it’s much improved over the past couple of years. I still have to visit MOM’S Or Wegmans for most organic produce items.

This is the largest and most well stocked Giant Ive ever shopped. I was especially impressed with the health food, magazine, coffee, and dairy sections. They had things I had been looking for and couldnt find. They were all here! The music is great too in that I had never heard 80% of the songs and I liked them all! if Im ever in the area again, this is where Ill buy groceries.
