Clean good lighting easy to understand pricing for its products. Also during this visit Covid safety protocols were in place and followed by all staff and patrons. Such a wide selection of grocery items sometimes missing in other stores. Check it for yourselves. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

The store is clean. The employees extremely helpful. The deli person made a suggestion and let my son do a taste which saved me money and we got a healthy better product for less.

The prices are a little higher than most other grocery stores, but the store has fresh food and was clean. The negative is, in the middle of the day there was only one register with a cashier and the self service line was also long. A register was only opened after a customer complained. The cashiers and other employees were friendly and professional.

Since day one the store manager has been the most courteous customer centric manager the young Caucasian guy. I am trying to think of his name however he works hard he works evening shifts it appears mostly but he always handles my transactions with the utmost courtesy and professionalism God-bless This store Team and the management

Convenient location. My item was available. Was a delay cleaning up a milk spill in 2 of the 4 express checkouts today.

Milk selection is poor. Just moved to this area from Houston. Food prices are 30-50% higher here. Example. Progressive soup on sale 2 for $4. There generally 2 for $3 or even less.

Long lines. Only 4 registers open peak time on Sunday, Not enough lines open. Manager was not managing the front end and the customer-associate argument. Clearly was not in control of the situation.

Everyone was kind, the store was clean and organized. First time at a Safeway and I have zero complaints! Keep doing what your doing!

The only problem was limited registers and cashiers. There were long waits in lines and the self checkout was crowded with longer lines.

This is definitely a suburban store and I enjoy the square footage. It has every expected specialty department (floral, large deli, seafood, bakery, etc.) and a WIDE range of foods for carnivores to vegans. To top it off, theres a Starbucks WITH a decent seating area. Visitors can also eat outside the front doors.

Safeway was very clean, well stocked, short lines and there was very friendly and helpful staff ready to assist. The seafood department was beautifully stocked, shrimp was on sale and the pre-shaped crab cakes were presented well. All of the food from the deli, meat counter as well as the seafood department looked extremely fresh. I brought some lamb chops that looked very fresh, heavy in weight and reasonably priced.

Safeway has been around for a long, long time. Good merchandise for a good price.Really like this store.

Loved this Safeway grocery store. It has the largest bakery I have seen! Purchased some fresh baked Sourdough bread & itis delicious! Found everything I was looking for! Excellent customer service!

No lanes open as always at Safeway. Ive been to Safeway all across this country and for some strange reason they only have 1 or 2 lanes open and their long. Why is that? Seems to have no regard in quickly taking your money. I actually walk out when this happens

Good shopping experience generally speaking. The store is clean, well lit, and orderly. Check out attendants are friendly and customer-centric. However I am consistently disappointed in the quality of the produce. There are competitors in the area with produce thats do much better.

The second store where Ive found celery sticks in completely sealed bags. I found a couple of really good buys, know the bakery items wont disappoint.Silly me, I went in self-checkout with a full-size, filled cart.The staff overseeing the registers were super helpful, patient, and courteous since I was a difficult customer today - confused the scale by adding paper bags to the plastic, had a few markdowns, and then discovered that I didnt have my bank card. I left my bag (took wallet) and speedwalked out to the car TWICE to get one of my moms.

This is closest safeway to me, but not the best one. The selection is a hit or miss. They seem to sell out of certain items quickly. Always have such long lines.

If you’re looking for great customer service in the deli department this is definitely not the place at least with one employee that works there!!! Unfortunately I didn’t get her name but she wears her hair in braids tied upon her head and she wears glasses with a light brown complexion skin color which is not important but that’s what she looks like regardless she’s far from being attentive or helpful, rude and will avoid you at any cost!!! I frequent the store and I’ve never had a problem until today!!! On both occasions she never tried to acknowledge me even when I was standing six feet in front of her maybe she was having a bad day or just didn’t care but regardless I’m still the customer that’s purchasing items from your place of business and I believe I deserve to be treated like a valued customer!!! I spoke the manager she was very nice and assured me she will speak with her which I appreciated but how many other customers has she done this too? Yes I will return but I will definitely avoid the deli department if I see her and eventually take my business elsewhere.

Environmentally clean and friendly staff shop there often

We have a Just for U account and took advantage of a $5 off our shopping coupon. Everything we purchased was on sale. The ticket went from $23 to $4.75. A good shopping experience.

Great place to shop but the only reason I gave it a 3 is because the front stage manager or whatever her position is Janet lacks professionalism and people skills and shouldnt be representing any company until she takes more customer service classes. Might I add, very smart remark when I told her to say please after she rudely told me to back up aggressively and she replied I shouldnt have to because I wasnt six feet let her tell it.

This store always has a gimmick with prices! They are very over priced and put sales on items after doubling the price to trick consumers into thinking they are getting a deal. I do not buy items marked on sale or Must Buy 4... A rip-off!They also shelf items above wrong price sticker so that you think youre buying the sale item, especially if it is low. The sale item is moved to the end of aisles or not as easily viewable. You have to read the price sticker to be sure the product is what is on sale.The Organic fruit is always bad...Bruised, old, rotten.I do not trust this Safeway.

Their departments never seemed to be staffed correctly. Long waits if you need anything from the deli.The store itself is laid out differently than most the other Safeways and thats kinda weird tooNormally very clean and everyone has been polite.

Its the Saturday before Thanksgiving and Safeway doesnt have turkey legs in stock. Not happy. Giant was loaded. I wont make that mistake again.

I bought a box of milk for my son and it was expired, I went to change it and they told me to find one box to replace it, my surprise was all the boxes were expired, I called the manager and showed him.

Also, a the young lady at the meat counter Teaunne who helped me was so very sweet and polite. I will most definitely come back and shop.

Nice. Clean. And stocked with everything I needed. A little pricey compared to some other stores. But if you live in the Bowie area, prices seem average. People were very nice. And if you are looking to cool down from the heat outside, look no further.

Surprisingly Safeway was fully stocked with food for memorial day. However they need to restock staples such as unbleached flour. Breadcrumbs and cleaning supplies

The employee there are always helpful!!! Drew, I think a manager, (if not should be!!!) Overheard me say I forgot to put in my phone number to get my savings and told me he could still help. He could had ignored me but came over to me to help. Truly appreciate a business with great customer service.

I have visited several Safeways for over 53 years (sent by mom at 10), but this one in Bowie was the best! I came into this store early in the morning, and it was as if they knew this was my first visit. Everyone was so happy, helpful and giddy. I felt so important. The prices were the best I have seen in a while. The store was imaculant. If this store wasnt so far away, I would make it a point to revisit. I give this store an A+ for its friendliness, cleanliness, prices and the overall environtment!
