Mike, Justin and Peter were great. We bought a boat on consignment and we LOVE it, but I wasn’t entirely happy with the price due to some damage on the Hull and minor cosmetic issues. Though the sale took a few visits to settle (we were a few hours away), Mike was patient and was sure to answer all of our questions honestly. Him and the team at Texas Marine did everything possible to ensure we were happy with our purchase. Would highly recommend.

I was out in my boat today when I began to have trouble with my Yamaha f150 began to Stall and wouldnt start. As a last resort before calling someone for a tow I phoned Texas marine in Beaumont.I spoke with Ty Yates and their mechanic Justin Hawkins who told me of things to try . They also gave me someone to call if things didnt work out. Their recommendation was spot on problem solved and I drove myself back to my home. Thanks to these two men who helped me. That is service without expectation of reward and you dont see that much anymore. Thanks again Ty and Justin.Gregg Evans.

Buying process was smooth. Both the sales and service department have been communicative and transparent so far. Had to bring it back in to adjust the trolling motor and fix something I had done. So we’ll see how that goes. So far, so good.

I received a response from an inquiry on Sunday, and even though the dealership was closed, the reply ( not automated ) let me know who and when to expect a call. So I replied thank you, and got a response wishing me an awesome Sunday. I was impressed. Several requests I sent elsewhere to this day has yet to respond. Great job Texas Marine!

We saw a boat online and just happened to be able to snag it in time with a deposit. Mike took the call, we drove the 4.5 hours to Beaumont from South Texas that night and went to the dealership the next morning. Mike took us out for our water trial, checked everything over with us, put the bimini on (it was included but not installed), fixed the brake light and we were on our way... for about 20 minutes. We had a flat just outside Beaumont. Called Mike back up and he was on the way to bring us a new one.Peter in financing and another younger guy (I dont remember his name!) in finance helped us out a ton and got us in and out same day.Go see Mike!

Buying process with my salesman was excellent. Nice boat selection and test run location was good. I did have a few small issues with the finance guy. However they made everything right and I appreciate their cooperation very much. Overall, I recommend buying from the company.

Had to have them fix tilt switch after we got there to pick up boat. When we got home the Trolling motor wasnt working, waiting for a call back. Spent $1800.00 for repairs and not everything working when we got home, hope it doesnt break down on July the 4th, although we had good service inside at parts and service dept.

Read entire post, Texas Marine made the situation right, Chaparral did not help.I purchased a new Chaparral in 2017. Called the sales rep that sold the boat to inform him that the boat had an air void and was assured it would be ok and they would get it fixed. Hurricane Harvey came through so I was I did not push the issue that year. I moved in 2018 and was unable to get it repaired in 2018. Now that I have settled and summer is about to begin I called Texas Marine to get this fixed. Texas Marine has informed me that the air void warranty has expired and neither they or Chaparral will help in any way. The sales rep is no longer there so they told me that I have no way of proving that I called. I like the boat but now wish I would have went with a different dealer and brand. The boat shop I brought the boat to was surprised that this was not covered. They tell me that they do repairs like this all the time for Bass Pro Shop and Tahoe with no problems. The boat comes with a 4 year warranty and that is the reason I did not push it until now. I should have read the small print because air goods are not covered and this dealer and Chaparral are not out for customer satisfaction. I have talked to the sales rep that sold the boat and even he thought this should be covered. I really thought I was buying from a company that valued future business but I was wrong. I even offered to share the cost and the general manager told me Texas Marine would not participate in the cost. He told me that unless I could get Chaparral to pay, I would get nothing. Unbelievable!!!! I have also called Chaparral customer service and left a message but their customer service is as bad as Chaparral. Still wait for a call back.Update on my review:Vern Hartman called me out of the blue to settle this. I think is is admirable that Texas Marine cares about their reputation enough to look at these reviews. We came to a mutual agreement and met in the middle. I never expected 100% of the repair cost, but I did want want some consideration. I will add that Chaparral did not follow up. All of the help I received came from Texas Marine, so while Chaparral may not be a great customer service company, Texas Marine will back the products they sell. Thank you Vern and Texas Marine.

I attended the Texas Crab Festival in Crystal Beach, TX the weekend of May 12-14, 2017. Texas Marine was a Platinum Sponsor of this event that provides scholarships for students and adults. I saw Texas Marine bring in about 15 boats for display. I was drawn to an Avalon Quad Fish Pontoon Boat. I met Spencer who was handling questions. Spencer was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Spencer made suggestions of additional boats they had in Beaumont. I left the festival that night and went home and checked online pricing and Texas Marine was a lot cheaper than anyone online. Texas Marine didnt try to sell me a whole bunch of things I didnt need. They explained the warranties on the boat and motor. They went over maintenance and break-in procedures and then after they serviced the boat, Spencer drove it down to Crystal Beach, brought the paperwork we went for a 2 hour ride on the boat and we completed the deal. Texas Marine and Spencer were honest, treated me with respect and it was a pleasure to do business with them. Texas Marine went the extra mile to show they cared about their customers. I would recommend Texas Marine to anyone in Southeast Texas looking for a boat. They do what they say and offer boats at fair prices. The Avalon 23 Quad Fish exceeds my expectations in craftsmanship and performance.

We have been in contact with salesman and finance for almost 2 weeks. Put the deposit down to hold the boat, drove 16, yes 16, hours to pick up. We arrived a day early because I had a death in the family. I expected it to not be completely ready but thought maybe that the situation would make them hustle so we could get on the road ASAP. We heard back from them at 445 pm that the boat wouldn’t start and they were working on it, they close at 5. Also, maybe we would consider a different boat. So... we are leaving boatless. Very disappointed.

In 3 days time my husband had found the boat online (2006 Mako), gotten approved, and picked it up. He had been looking for a while for a center console fishing boat when he found this one online at Texas Marine. He gave all our credit type information to them and set up a test drive with Mike for Friday. We left early and drove over 6 hours to get there and Mike took us out on the river. He was very nice and knowledgeable, answering any questions we had without hesitation. We got back and while we were completing the paperwork with Justin (again, a nice person to deal with) Mike rounded up a few extra things for us at no charge.We are very happy with our experience with them and will recommend them to our friends. I would not recommend anyone use this place for anything. They tried to over charge us $2,500 on a boat when the price was clearly online. I found the price at two other dealerships and they said that cant be the price and they must not have the real price depicted. After I agreed to pay $1,500 over retail price they asked for $93 dollars more which is insulting and unprofessional. I was told I could take the boat home that day then was told I could not because his guys got out at 2. It Would make sense a good company would go above and beyond to help new customers. Needlesss to say I left and did not purchase the boat from these crooked individuals. I immediately called Louisiana Power Sports in Lafayette (honest company and very helpful) and asked how much the exact same boat was and it was the same price as every other dealership online and the price Yamaha suggested it be. I purchased the boat over the phone while pulling out of Texas Marine parking lot for $2,570 cheaper than they offered. This company is unprofessional and unethical so please do yourself a favor and contact any other company for your boating needs. You will always get a better price

I’m from an hour away. After dealing with a salesman and sales manager for a few days over the phone. We reviewed price 3 times before I arrived. A price was set with TTL. Verified to me over the phone 3 times by 2 different employees. When I traveled there to purchase the vehicle they decided it was $2,900 more. We discussed and they ask me my tax rate twice over the phone then verified the price 3 times over the phone. Their excuse was they accidently figured the wrong tax rate. Just don’t drive a long way if they promise you a great price. They could be accidentally giving you the wrong price. This all happened Saturday 4/28/2018. It’s just the main thing that kept me from purchasing the boat from this establishment. Will be buying a boat in the next week and spending 50,000~ and poor customer relations or communication mistakes are what is keeping this company from getting my money. If they call me to resolve this issue I’d be happy to delete or change the post to be way more positive.

Our boat sat on their lot for 3 weeks and never got looked at. The lady told us it would be the middle of Fall before someone could work on it. We went to pick up the boat to bring it elsewhere, and there were nails, bolts, and screws all under the trailer tires and scattered around the entire lot, inside and outside the gate. Horrible place of Business!!!

Service departments is horrible. Boat initially went to the shop early May and I after a couple false releases and back to the shop, I think it may be fixed now that the summer is almost over. Theyve even been through two different service managers in the time my boat was being repaired.

Very disappointed in service department. They had to take my boat out on water to try and diagnose problem. I dropped off a clean boat I was returned a filthy boat with a dried salt water line around It and the trailer. They did not even fix the mechanical problem they created. Very disappointed.

Dropped my boat off two months ago for service and repair after 3 weeks I finally got a hold of service they told me part on back order and would be in on Sept 21st since then I have not been able to reach service they have not returned my calls even tried online chat no help even though chat said they would have service call at this point it feels like they no longer do service or repairs and have no idea on status I have 3 boats and 2 jet skis I will never use Texas marine again and tell everyone I know to steer clear

Needed the oiler alarm fixed on my boat. At first they tried to charge me $1875 for things the boat didnt need. In the end it took 4 weeks and cost $1000. $250 in parts, the rest labor. Now I gotta take it to another shop that does things in a more timely and reasonable manner to get the carbs redone.

I bought a brand new Avalon two weeks after signing papers showed them problem noticed they said they would call Avalon that did not happen they scratched the cowling said it would be one month to replace now on 4 of November took boat to them stll no calls and have called owner to tall about problem has never called back them service manager tells me Avalon will not fix boat til pontoon is falling off before they do anything then the manufactor of Avalon tells me it is within tolerance of one half inch so I have a 40,000 dollar boat that does not handle as told by seller SO I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ThEM AGIAN and their slogan says satisfaction guaranteed is not true so do not buy anything from them ever
