TLDR: solid coffee and pastryI ordered a large iced latte and a banana chocolate muffin the iced latte was *massive*, and relatively tasty. It could have been a bit better, but the value was fantastic, so I can’t blame them much. The muffin was pretty darn good as well. Service was fast, so no real complaints there. Overall, pretty good place for a stop on the way to work.

Excellent beverages and noms. Drive through convenience or cozy coffee shop atmosphere inside. When I do get coffee, I go here, and my sisters are pretty much addicted to this place.

Finally! Espresso thats NOT SOUR! Balanced and tasted good.

My go to coffee spot. The coffee is really good and reasonably priced. The pastries are really good as well. Drive thru is convenient. The inside is small, but nice if you want to hang out.

Great local coffee spot, with fun mixed coffee drinks and flavours. Im not a coffee connoisseur, so I cant speak to it if you want a fancy black coffee, but everything Ive had has been lovely.

This place has become my favorite coffee shop, not only for good coffee, but for the quality of service. I forgot my wallet at home on the way to work and told them I couldn’t pay because of that. They gave me my coffee anyway and let me come back later to pay. Tbh that right there was enough to make my day, and also it just shows you they care for the customer. Love these guys

Pretty bad (almost sour / bitter?) coffee and plain and boring breakfast sandwich. Also after I asked them to remake my coffee they made me pay for the second coffee…. Which I’ve never had a place do. Spent $20 bucks here and didn’t enjoy a second of it, so that sucked. Anyways, please find a better spot to come to! This one was majorly lacking.

I hate taking an effort to rate this 1/5 because they can’t even make a signature drink after two attempts. And breakfast sandwiches were so greasy and plain because they were came from a microwave. So if you read this and wanna still try local coffee, I recommend Epoch and u’ll thank me later.

We came here for a change. The Breakfast sandwiches were simple but good. Dining area was small but luckily we found a place to sit. Servers were nice.

Today was my first time getting coffee here. Drive thru service was excellent! The coffee is delicious. Will be back!

Its ok its very cramped but its also homey, it has that coffee smell to die for cus it doesnt overwhelm your nose with the tart smell and its sweet like June, I got a smoothie cus Im cutting my self of from so much coffee, and it is a smoothie so Im not craving the taste of sweet cream and tart coffee on a Saturday morning.

Our weekend coffee haunt with a DRIVE-THRU (yay!) that is always super friendly. With baked goods from Austins own Russells and solid custom options for tacos or bagels, were always happy with Its A Grind. One suggestion: Id love to hear an order total amount at the speaker box.

The coffee is delicious and the service is exceptionally friendly. I took off a star for two reasons.1) it cost one dollar to add flavored syrup to the iced coffee, but that charge is not listed anywhere on the drive thru sign. I wasnt told the total until I got to the window. I asked about the difference in price and was advised of the extra charge for the syrup. When I commented that it was not listed on the sign (see photo), I was told that its on the sign inside... Now I dont order the iced coffee, I just stick with drinks that are actually the menu price.2) THEY PUT AN UNWRAPPED STRAW IN MY DRINK. Its A Grind, I hate this. I dont stop often enough to remember to ask that they dont do this, and as a semi-germaphobe, it grosses me out as Im drinking the delicious, delicious coffee.The prices are in line with what you would expect to pay for gourmet coffee, but unlike some of these places, they arent playing around with the large size, its 32 oz. That offsets or enhances (depending on your mindset) the $7.25 pricetag for the triple chocolate mocha, which is the most expensive drink on the menu. I havent tried that one, but the honey toffee crunch blended is terrific.If they correct the sign, and stop using unwrapped straws, I will happily update my review to five stars.Overall, great drinks and great service.

Solid coffee shop in Northwest Austin with very friendly and quick staff, what looks like a nice and warm atmosphere, and a very good cold brew! I definitely see myself coming back here and enjoying the outdoor patio!

We used the drive up to order an egg bagel and a spinach, egg, and cheese breakfast bagel. Two small coffees. Service was super easy, fast, and friendly! It was my first time there and I will surely return!

This place is aces.Try a cinnamon roll or one of their cranberry scones. You will not regret it.

Great prices, coffee, and staff. The girl who works drive thru remembered my name and makes the experience so wonderful. Only thing I would suggest is they offer more vegan options such as oat and coconut milk. Love you guys!

The first and only time I went here, they made me a blended coffee with coffee grounds in it. I had already left before trying it, so had to throw it away 😭 Maybe I’ll give them another try later, but it literally left a bad taste.

They have recently started asking for tips when you’re ordering in the drive-thru or indoors. (Might be new owners)I’m all for tipping workers, but I don’t expect to be pestered for a tip in a drive-thru window. Makes for a uncomfortable experience, just avoiding them now. Shame.

My favorite place in Austin for a white chocolate mocha with whipped cream on top! They also have quite a good selection of croissants with meats and cheeses to enjoy :-)

Great staff, great drinks. But GOD WHAT A HORRIBLE OWNER.. I have many friends who recommended this spot, but have stopped going because the owner is always there, and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.. Ive always loved this place! And their friendly faces! But again, the owner is the problem. They need someone to take over her business, and then they would def be a 5 star!:)

The people who work here are super friendly. My kids and I come here before they go to school. They love the stuffed croissants. They are tasty and large enough to take the other half for lunch! They have a chessboard that we use from time to time. I wish they had more milk alternative options but overall everything is yummy.

They make magical ice blended coffees!I usually wake up as a terrifying monster that destroys buildings, sets fires, and kicks people in the shins, but when I have one of their ice blended coffees I am transformed into a benevolent goddess capable of bestowing blessings on humanity.I have brought many of my monster friends to this location and they were transformed as well. (Well...all but one). Highly recommended these potions!

Everything about Its a Grind is as good or almost as good as any other coffee shop in Austin. The only reason youd go here as opposed to a place like Starbucks is the staff. They have the best staff. They are always friendly. They bring your drinks out to you. They use your name when speaking with you. They smile all the time. If they dont like their jobs, theyre hiding it really well. Its amazing. I feel good when I go here because there are so many good vibes coming from the people, and its become one of my favorite spots to work.

Staff is always welcoming and friendly. I love their selection and the breakfast sandwiches are delicious, way better than any of the fast food breakfast you get elsewhere. These are made well and are worth the wait.

I was really excited about moving to area with a sweet and locally owned coffee shop so close by. However, every time I come here I’m disappointed with my order. Both times I’ve ordered a sandwich it was missing things I asked for, the pastries are better at HEB, they don’t have reusable anything, and I don’t feel like there’s anything particularly special about their coffee. Admittedly, I do have very high standards for coffee shops and it is very clean and affordable. I’m unfortunately not going to be a regular.

Grace is genuinely sweet, cheerful, and a bright light. We usually like to go into coffee shops to get that human touch and chat with the batista some. Today we went through the drive thru because that is what is open during Covid. Grace was working the window and makes people feel so comfortable! Not to mention the iced dirty chai latte is damn good!

Such a cozy coffee house. Plenty of seating with comfy chairs. Nice fireplace when the temperature drops. Very tasty, chocolate brownies. The employee even heated up our brownies! Employees are very friendly, pleasant. Had a cold drink, called Funky Monkey. Delicious!

I have different coffee shops for different drinks, and this is my go-to for if Im ever feeling just a drip coffee. Not sure what it is, but their drip coffee is amazing (I personally prefer I flavored coffee, but their vanilla nut is objectively very good)

Ive been going for 4 years. Today they started asking for a tip. Please pay your workers a fair wage and dont have them beg for tips.

Love this spot! Tried the seasonal vanilla bean latte with a sweet vanilla cream flavoring the drink. Very nice treat. I have been visiting this shop for years- have met friends here and even brought my mom!

I like the service here but they use way too much syrup. I went here once before and there was way too much syrup so today I just asked to put an extra shot and it was still way too sweet, honestly don’t even know if the shot was added. I got more of a sugar rush than a caffeine fix. Nice staff though.

Cool place with outdoor seating for work

Cup size is different than what menu states. I ordered a small and it was labeled as 16 ounces, but it was only 12 ounces. Normally not a big deal, but I took my dad who has measure out liquid and it was wrong. We did take it home and I measured it.However, the place merits another visit. Tried a blended drink and it was entirely too sweet. Again, maybe it was an off day for me. Give them a shot.

Had a great iced coffee and raspberry chocolate chip cookie as my lunch after donating. The service was friendly and quick and the coffee deliciously strong. The cookie was top notch as well.

Excellent lattes! I had an iced hazelnut latte that was delicous. They give generous portions, the large was a 32oz! As a caffeine fiend and coffee lover i really enjoyed this spot. Didnt get to try any pastries but the display looked really good, blueberry scones and all sorts of muffins, to name a few.

The coffee is delicious, highly caffeinated, and the sizes are HUGE!Its a very cozy little shop with not a lot of seating, but thats literally the only downside. Theres even plenty of parking.I would definitely recommend asking to see the sizes before going with that automatic large though.Also, bring cash for your tips. They dont accept electronic tips but there is a jar for cash.

Great ambiance. Friendly and cheerful staff. I typically have their cappuccino or latte but occasionally treat myself to some of their fancier drinks like blended mocha and have loved all of them. Their cinnamon rolls are the best!

I have not spent much time inside the coffee shop, but I go through the driveway pretty regularly. One of my favorite menu items is their egg sandwich—especially on their delicious sourdough bread! Another seasonal favorite is their ginger matcha latte! The employees are nice, prices are good, and the drive through has always been very fast!

Theyve got a nice atmospheric environment and the coffee tastes great. The wait isnt very long and the joint itself is spacious for when you might have a meeting or group gathering of some kind. Plus it has a corner with 4 tall chairs that I can see being used as a type of game corner for board games or card games. Definitely brownie points from me on that remark.

I love this place, & I come here all the time! However, Im leaving this one star because I got a drink here yesterday & I asked for Alamond milk instead of regular milk in my drink because Im highly allergic to milk. After I finished my drink I became VERY SICK, the sick I only get from consuming milk. It irritated me to no end. I understand mistakes happen, but when youre a food/beverage establishment you have to be very careful for customers who have special requests. Be careful if you need a substitute for milk here. Id recommend watching the person who makes the drink. Otherwise this is an overall awesome place with a nice staff.

The employees here are so friendly. I ordered a small ice coffee that came w/two shots of espresso for $4 and it was delicious. Go check them out you wont be disappointed.

This used to be our favorite place until they refused to make the funky monkey warm as they have done since they opened.

Being a local spot, i do appreciate the convenience of this place, but the inconsistent quality of product has kept me away for sometime now. Coffee was either too hot or too cold. The cup was either half empty or half full. Wait! Exactly! Thats why i stopped going.

I come here almost every morning and the staff always has a warm and welcoming smile, and the food is great.

The ice cold Java Blast is great. However it is about 5 bucks for a small. If you want to have a special treat for yourself try it. It has ground up roasted coffee beans in it for a little crunch. The regular coffee is good too.
