I used this company to install shower panels and mirrors on homes I’ve built for eight years. they completely dropped the ball on my most recent project. Been trying to schedule work with them for a week and a half, was supposed to get called back several times with no response. when I finally got a representative on the phone who wanted to talk about my project they Tried to price gouge me when they knew I needed the work done. I recommend finding someone else

Price shopped and Binswanger Glass had the best price for a piece of glass for my desk. And they had it ready within 3 days of calling! Other places had a 2-3-week backlog. Paid over the phone when I arrived, and they loaded the glass in my trunk. Nice soft edges. Measured perfectly. Looks great! Thanks, y’all.

Brought a mirror in to be fixed, I was turned away because they said it “wasn’t worth their time” even though I was willing to pay all labor costs. I’ve never had a company straight up turn my business away even though they admitted to repairing a similar product before.

I was scheduled for auto glass services. However when scheduled, I was never told what location I had to go to. I had to drive across town to an appointment then was told it was going to take an hour or more (I specifically asked could I get right in due to the inconvenience). Safelife would never. I only came here because there was no appointments for 3 weeks. I wish my insurance never sent me here. Oh and their warranty policy sucks

I love Binswanger, have used them 2 or 3 times now and always been very satisfied with their work. Only complaint I have, and in 2 of the 3 times this has happened, they return the vehicle with glass on the floorboards. Easy fix, and once pointed out they took care of it. 5 stars all day every day.

After gathering two other estimates, Elka with Binswanger Glass was the quickest to respond to my request for shower glass estimates. All services were professional from estimate, to measuring, to installation!! We needed the glass installed before the Christmas holiday and the amazing crew even worked on an extra Saturday to get our glass installed in time. We could not be happier with our new shower and the service we received from Binswanger!!

I recently used Binswanger for my bath remodel glass requirements. Overall they did an outstanding job. Professional, responsive, and timely. One key to success is to establish a relationship with the account manager as it is easy to get lost in the process. I worked with Elka Alexander. She was fabulous. If I had a question or concern, Elka was on it.I had a moderately complex shower glass requirements for a borderless shower with a column between two glass panels. The installers were very precise in their measurements and meticulous in the install. The result was beautiful and no leads what so ever. During the install Robin noticed a small scratch on the interior of one of panel. I would have never noticed it. He pointed it out and they were back in a couple of weeks to replace.I recommend them highly. As Elka can tell you, I am very particular person. I am an engineer and do the majority of my remodel work myself. I pay attention to detail. Binswanger delivered.

I want to give a huge shout out to Serina at the South Austin location! I had contacted several local glass companies regarding a large broken window at one of our rental properties prior to reaching out to Binswanger and wasnt getting anywhere. Serina called me and was ready to help! She knew the labor cost to install the glass would be high so she provided contact info for a local handyman, Alvin, to help me out - hes amazing too! The glass ended up being a special order but she stayed on top of the order and kept me posted. I am so appreciative of Serinas willingness to help and her professionalism. Binswanger will be my first call from this point forward because of her excellent service!

Shame on me . After a bad customer service experience last year for home glass needs, I decided to try Binswanger again, this time for auto glass replacement. As before, customer service was not good. On Thursday, April 30, I called Binswanger at which time I was scheduled for Tuesday, May 4. On Monday, May 3, I called to confirm the appointment. I was told my appointment was pushed to Thursday, May 6 because the replacement glass would not be there for the 4th. Glass availability is not the issue, rather, the real problem is that they never contacted me to let me know the appointment was pushed. Had I not called, I would have driven to their location on the 4th only to find the glass was not there. Since my appointment was rescheduled for the 6th, and given their track record of poor communications, I called on the 5th to make sure the glass would be there for the 6th. I was told I would be called the morning of the 6th to confirm. However, I never received a call. So I called them 2 hours before the afternoon scheduled appointment for an update. The response was curt and disrespectful. Yes, its here as I told you it would be was the comment. There was no acknowledgement that they failed to contact me as committed. To the manager....since your calls are recorded for quality assurance, I suggest you review my calls to verify the accuracy of my review. Your staff needs to be coached on customer etiquette and trained to follow up with customers, particularly if a commitment is made to do so. Needless to say, I went elsewhere. Strike 2.

Went to have a regular non-beveled round piece of glass cut for a table measuring 36 inches. They said it would cost $465. Very expensive place. Found the same piece of glass for $50 on Marketplace. If you want something cheap, go somewhere else. Although, they do have beautiful pieces of glass.

They are able to do some great custom cut glass with fast turnaround. Had some miscommunication around the measurements of glass cut when picking up, but they got it corrected ASAP.

Incredibly professional and understanding staff that got me in super-quickly to repair a car window that was smashed during a break-in. I would highly recommend working with Binswanger Glass.

If you intend to use Binswanger Glass on Congress Ave in Austin for your residential glass needs I suggest you send multiple emails, place multiple calls requesting a site visit for measurements and a quote, and be prepared to wait and wait for a response. My experience is that they do not return emails in a timely manner and they do not return phone calls. Over a 6 day period I sent several emails and left several messages. They finally called on day 6 and were unable to meet my need for a timely site visit. If this is the level of service available on the front end, I cannot imagine what it would be like during the installation phase. I went somewhere else for my glass needs and suggest you consider doing the same.

Don provided a quote that was much less than that other company. Curtis called to confirm when he would arrive and called again when he was on his way to my house. He arrived, replaced the rear glass, and cleaned up in a little over an hour. Exceptional, professional job from first contact until he completed the work. Excellent service!

Had custom mirrors installed in our dining room, so it could double as a dance studio. It looks perfect! There were a couple tricky cutouts needed and Benswanger got it right! Robin and Louis are wizards when it comes to measuring and install. Professional and friendly. The receptionist Elka was helpful and communicated any issues that arose or change to timeline. We needed a patio door fixed quickly and they were able to have it ready for us in 30 minutes and at far better prices than any of the other places we called. Service was friendly and professional. Cant recommend these people enough.

My car needed a new window recently, so I decided to go here because its close to home.Although there was a delay in delivering the window for installation, the service people and cashier were professional and helpful.The window looks great and the car was vacuumed completely. I really recommend this business!

My rear view mirror came off the windshield, I took the car to Toyota service and after 4 hours they said they could not reattach it. I called Binswanger and they said to bring it over. They were very courteous and helpful. one the the techs came out looked at the problem and said let me take it around back. less than 10 minutes he was back. Gave me my keys and said your good to go. I asked him how much and he said NO CHARGE, have a nice day. Well guess who will be getting all my business. Great People At Binswanger!!!!!

We have had much work over the years done by this location...both commercial and residential, but lately it appears their customer service has become unfavorable.Whatever job they quote you, add 1-2 weeks before completion and be prepared to chase them down on completing the job and their excuses which really only apply to their internal workings.They claim to put the customer first when in reality it only applies if you work to their schedule.We would use them again knowing of the obstacles we may encounter.I can recommend their service for shower enclosures and Lewis/Robin are very adept and caring about their installs.

All I can say is wow...I have heard and I also truly believe that any company is only as good as their employees and the face and actions of a employee is a good representation of a company as the face and image.This morning 7-23-19 at apx 6:45 - 7:10. One of their drivers in Truck# 4 Showed me as well as other motorists what type of company they are. The driver of truck# 4 was so close on my behind that if I had to hit my brakes for any reason, my daughter and I would have been severely injured. We all have seen the signs on Trxas roadways about the deaths on TX highways. Well, drivers like this and the company that employ them are a portion of the reason so many people die on TX roadways.I have front and rear facing dash cams and will do my best to bring the driving habits of truck #4 and this company to the attention of TX DPS, as well as the state troopers and share on YouTube....ASK YOURSELF, IS THIS THE TYPE OF COMPANY YOU WANT INSTALLING YOUR GLASS OR CARING FOR IT.......

If I could leave less than a 1 star review I would. This company was contracted to install glass for a commercial project, you would think with a job of this scale (or any scale) I would receive some sort of customer service. NOPE. The install crew was scheduled to arrive at 7am to begin before opening (Keep in mind I had to be present) after numerous calls they finally arrived at 9am. The install guys were friendly, helpful, and respectful. 30 minutes into the install they realized something was incorrect in the manufacturing of the glass and they would have to come back, 2 days to get new glass. It has now been over a week and I was told it will be another week before I can expect to see anyone here. What kind of business can operate in such a lackadaisical manner. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

Binswanger has been doing this for a loooong time. They are good at what they do. The staff is helpful, efficient, and nice. The cover a broad spectrum of glass needs.

Had windshield replaced some months ago, a problem with it arose and when my husband called and explained the problem they were quick to act and replace it. The staff was friendly and professional, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

I went to the Burnet Rd. location to get glass for my coffee table. The table is curved in places so they told me make a pattern. When I went to pick it up, the glass wasnt close to the dimensions I asked for and the pattern wasnt followed. They apologized and cut another one. This one was better but I had to take it back because the corners were sharp. The pattern called for rounded corners. After three trips, it is right. I wont use them again.

Extremely professional, courteous, and friendly. Within 24 hours of initially contacting Binswanger, I had a new windshield in my car. They came to my office, respected my last minute schedule change, and did a great job.

Their prices are crazy expensive. I wanted to order a 1/4 round glass for a coffee table, they quoted me for $298. I was able to get the same glass, same size for $168 from Alamo glass.

The first visit went very smoothly though the wait seems to always be long due to too few employees. The second visit was pretty awful. The customer service was great, but they got my order wrong. The first order took only 3 days but after a week I called on the 2nd almost identical order and it was not complete. When they completed the order, they had cut to incorrect measurements. They cut it while I waited for 10 minutes so it should have been ready days earlier. Im going back to Alamo Glass - theyve always been great.

Provided specific sized cut glass at a very reasonable price and in a minimal amount of time. The customer service when I called was great.

These guys are terrific. Customer service was impecable, honest, and sympathetic. My truck was broken into via the driver-side window Thursday after-work; the glass shattered everywhere. I called Binswanger on South Lamar that following Friday morning. Despite their severely busy schedule, they made an exception and fit me in the afternoon. I was told to come in at 2pm and it would be ready at the latest by 5pm. They exceeded my expectations by finishing the work by 3pm. I find it extremely satisfactory they fit me in the schedule, and did it in a timely manor. Ask for the service guy Leo; hes been repairing windows for over 20 years and a great guy. Lastly, the price was very competitive. Binswanger was $50 cheaper than Safelite. Great work!

They left me waiting and didnt call me back for a couple of hours. They obviously had better things to do. Ive been in construction for 35 years and this may be the worst Ive been treated by any trade.

Remodeling 2 bathrooms - 2 different types of tiles used - Elka the very professional sales representative asked questions in reference to the type of tile/color we had chosen. We thought we were going in to buy 2 frameless shower doors and be out of there quickly. Elka helped us realize why we need to have 2 different types of doors due to the coloring of our tiles. {1} White square tile with borders of black & white tile with grey grout and black dotted drain - Need a clear door to bring out the vibrant colors of the tiles.{2} Light and Medium brown tile with rock style drain - Tinted doors with round handles to help with the slamming of the door.Robin and Louis - Installation Guys - AWESOME - Very knowledgableand professional structured installation. After a month the plastic guard was dragging against the door when opened. I called to set an appt. - no problem. They showed up on time and made an adjustment to guard. Very friendly and told us if we had anymore problems to call them and they would be out again.

Completely understaffed! I was told to bring in a window and they could have it knocked out in a day! The girl laughed and said it would take a week and a half. I asked for an alternative vender and she replied I have no idea I am not from Austin! Wonderful customer service! Maybe you will laugh at this review!

Had to get my windshield replaced somewhere else a few months ago and it ended up being leaky. They wouldn’t fix it, but Binswanger did for really cheap, I’ll definitely go there if I have another issue with my windshield.

They do excellent work, but can be outrageously expensive. I had 4 panes of glass replaced on my garage door after the hail storm. The bill totaled $450 dollars for 4 single panes of glass. I cant imagine what a real window might cost.

Other than having to wait for service to my vehicle (I had an appointment), the service was very good.

Scheduled my BMW 3 series to get a new windshield - they opened right before 8 and started working on my car very soon after that. They even called to warn me about a pre-existing problem with my car and re-set a piece of trim that I couldnt get to with the windshield in. Very reasonable price and they did a great job!

I had binswinger glass cut a conference table top for a coustomer of mine.They installed it 2 days later then promised.They did not call and let anyone know they were coming.When they installed the conference table top they left finger marks all over the botom side of the glass.I called them the next day and asked them to come clean the glass.They told me they did not do that job and would not go and fix the problem .A month went bye. I had not see a invoice come in from Binswinger at this point.They called me being ugly about geting there payment right away.I explanded that there was a problem with the job.The lady who called was outraged that I would not pay for the table top right there on the spot.I explanind that I would be happy to take care of the invoice once my coustomer was taken care of.They finaly went back to clean up there mess.When they talked with the coustomer they told my coustomer that it was not there fault the glass had finger prints because the desk had too much polish on it.The next day after they went to the job site they called demanding payment.I asked them to submit a invoice.I still have not seen the invoice.They have now turned me over to colections witchs calls daily.The invoice did not match the orignal quote submited. They charged me a extra charge to go and clean the finger prints.I would not use them again.
