This cafe is awesome! Everything is divine. We drove to Athens for a day trip. Our day started here. Lunch was very delicious and strawberry cake was very tasty!

Worst place ever. They forgot to put our order in. Waited an hour. Soup was very good. Chicken salad really had a bad taste. Only ate one bite. Hope it doesn’t make me sick. They didn’t even offer to make it good.

This bakery is outstanding!!! Ive them bake cakes my wedding and birthday!!! They really want to make their cake your own and the flavor and moistness of them are out of this world! To tell ya how great they are I had none left of my wedding cake left and my daughter insisted her birthday cake to be somewhat like our wedding cake!! All were yummy!

I drive 170 miles round trip, each time for the past 15 years, gladly to pic up cakes from them for special occasions. I live closer to Dallas & I could go to any bakery, but the Cherry Laurel is special, their cakes are amazing. Try a Chocolate Ding Dong cake, 🍰or a carrot cake with apricot filling from them & you will never go anywhere else!

Wrap and soup was very good/tasty.Chicken Salad has such a pepper flavor thats all you taste. Its probably good if you can get past the overwhelming pepper.

OMG! This place is amazing. Had our Thanksgiving catered from them and everything was so good. The turkey was so delicious and I could eat the sweet potato casserole every day. The staff was so friendly and full of smiles. They even make us an amazing Carmel Macchiato while we waiting.

I had the amazing opportunity to eat food from this establishment for my birthday and saying I loved it is an understatement. THE BEST club sandwich and broccoli cheese soup I have ever tasted in my life. The club was toasted to perfection and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients with each bite. Highly recommend and cant wait to try again.

They are the best place around to order a birthday cake. Order the butter rum cake with butter cream icing, you wont be disappointed. I have been using them for years. I went to another bakery one time and learned my lesson, their cakes didnt compare to Cherry Laurels cakes.

Did not have the best experience here. They sent our food to the wrong table. No one explained anything to us or offered an apology. We just had to wait a very long time to get our food. We only heard about it through the arguing of the wait staff in the back and then it being explained to another customer who was checking on their order. When the food finally came it was less than stellar. The best Ruben in Texas was 90% Sauerkraut and 2 slices of pastrami and it cost $9. Probably will not be coming back here for the lunch ever again but I hear the cakes are delicious.

I was so excited about having the opportunity to visit this bakery again. I drove 50 miles, and I was so disappointed after getting my lemon bars. They were thin, flat and GUMMY . They lacked the lemon zest as well.. I should have went with my first mind and not purchased because they didnt look the same, The waitress was not knowledgeable regarding pastries in the bakery, but customer service was good.

Staff was unfriendly, male staff member ignored us and walked around us like we were not welcome. We had misunderstood the end of serving breakfast and he was very rude about it. The other staff member showed us a menu, but wouldnt go so far as to hand it to us. Bakery display was dingy and disappointingly small. Happy to spend my money elsewhere when we are welcomed.

Great bistro fare. Wonderful cake pops and unique desserts. Coffee concoctions better than the big name. Wish they were open longer.

The cakes are delicious and servers are very nice, but I am not happy with cake service. Today, I attempted to order a small round 2 layer blue gender reveal cake. I was told, 28 hours was not enough notice. They can fill my order for a white cake, but apparently the blue food coloring takes longer. Last year, I ordered and paid for a Harry Potter cake. My only request was Harry Potter and let them have free reign. I arrived to pick the cake up and was charged $15 due to the creativity on the cake. Then tone down the creativity or ask permission! I asked to speak to the owner and was told my original pay was a base price. After this, they have placed a notification by the register.

Even though it was very busy and a small place we got sat down, ordered, and received food in about 13 minutes. They had many people coming in to pick up their cakes..which look great! My step mother, Mary Lou, had a Cheery Laurel cookbook she would use often. We had 1/2 sandwiches and soups. The food is very good. Chicken salad sandwich and with tomato basil soup was just what I expected..very tasty. Would highly recommend anyone to stop by and try something. You wont be disappointed.

My daughter ordered a pink cake for her baby shower. Well the cake was orange. So being that there was no time, we had to set out on her pink table a bright orange cake that she paid $85 for. They were not apologetic. She was so upset! I do not recommend this place at all!!

House hunting makes you hungry so I checked on Trip Advisor and this came out as a top choice! It’s the day before Easter so there was a lot of people picking up orders. We got a Rueben and a turkey club on a wheat tortilla. Both were delicious!! Loved that they had quite a selection of iced teas and I chose Blackberry! Of course I had to try a dessert after I looked at the cakes and chose Hummingbird! Extra moist and a generous slice that we shared and brought home what was left. Highly recommend it’s a quaint setting and the staff very friendly! Look forward to coming back on my next visit to town!!

This site is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. Whenever I want to go to a good lunchon, this restaurant comes first to my head. superb and diverse food and a rich cuisine.professional staff members, and nice atmosphere. Really good food and outstanding service. Met one of the owners and she was as friendly as it gets. There was a confusion over the price of the extra pickle and I was having a rough day and did not handle it as graciously as I would have liked but she handled it (and me lol) really well. Our waitress was great too. Good service is hard to find so I wanted to make sure I got on here and said something.

They have a good selection of wraps and sandwiches and thier dessert is amazing. I had the brownie and the run cake, I was not disappointed! Theres very limited room to sit inside but its a cute little cafe.

I bought a chocolate cake from here for my moms 90th birthday. It was absolutely delicious! It was one of the taller cakes and all of my guests went nuts over it! 😁 Was worth every penny!

Cherry Laurel did my wedding cake 14 years ago & they are the best.

Where to begin.. First off, late notice cake needed for a graduation, no problem whatsover, delivered promptly! Second, consulted what was wanted, and what was at liberty to be designed freely, and looks are out of the park! Got exactly what I asked for, even on a smaller cake, was able to capture the moment perfectly. Third, the taste is amazing.. probably on of the tastiest cakes I have ever eaten. Im not much of a sweets fanatic, but I really ate WAY to much to feel good about afterwards! To conclude, I will absolutely recommend this bakery to anyone looking to get a beautiful, tasty, and so well put together cake! Please support these local business, you will not be disappointed!!!

I would rate this place as 0 there costumer service is bad i went in and ask them if they could make a cowboy jersey cake for my sons birthday the owner said yes then i go to get the cake and it didnt even look like a jersey so they said they would fix it and then i had to call to see if they fixed finally they did so i go back up there and they did fix it but not that good and the owner said i owed an extra $20 for the cake and i refused to pay for it cause i shouldnt have to pay for there mess up and the owner then tells me im not appreciative and she has better clientele that can afford her cakes she is very rude lady and i would recommend no one to go to this place for a cake unless you want to get screwed over and talked to like trash cause this lady is very rude and her workers are very rude so i rate this place as a 0.

We are new to this area and are looking for Breakfast locations. Cherry Laurel came up so we gave them a try. We won’t be back! All they have is breakfast tacos and the worst coffee around!

I love the Cherry Laurel but I cannot give them the review their truly delicous food deserves because of the ridiculous amount of single use plastic and styrofoam used even for dining in. Id love to have the option to use a washable coffee cup and plate!Great Ruben, great salad, severely lacking in environmental friendliness!

This our favorite breakfast place. He loves the breakfast taco and I always get quiche and cherry kolache! Best coffee in town, too! Visiting with Sarah is my favorite part!
