I purchased a 2014 Honda Accord Sport from them. Car looked nice, didnt drive absolutely smooth when I test drove so I sorta thought maybe it needed an alignment. The man told me when we were on the way to the Loan office that maybe thats what it was or it could be a bubble in one of my tires. He checks and says he does not notice anything. 3 weeks after my purchase I am broke down on the side of the road because the starter went out. I also noticed the inside of my front 2 tires where completely bald. I go to purchase new tires. Drive home and again stranded on the side of the road because my rim was bent. Apparently it was bent when they sold me the car because the tire fused to the rim to make it not go flat. So I purchased a new rim. (Mind you they are not cheap) my car still does not drive smooth. I have put more money in the past 5 months into the car then I have making an actual payment. Just really disappointed.UPDATE! Just had to fix 2 shocks, tire axel and tire rod. Still does not drive smooth. 😬Update:Absolutely did NOT test drive this car for 3 weeks before buying it. And for them to say they lost $2,000 is a joke. I bought the car for the price they asked for.

I bought a 2006 Ford Lariat f150 from Daniel Boone Agency! I had to make 2 trips from Greenwood SC in one day because of my bank, but IT WAS WELL WORTH the trip!! Everyone there was very friendly and were more than happy to let me test drive the truck. I have had it a month and everything is perfect!! No haggling or anything and actually got it cheaper than their asking price which was more than fair for this truck! Best decision I have ever made for a vehicle!! I will be purchasing from here again if I need a new vehicle in the future!!

I recently used The Daniel Boone Agency to sell my deceased fathers truck. I initially met with Marty, he told he what the truck was worth and explained their fees. Marty seemed confident that he could get me what I wanted out of the truck so I left it with him to sell. It only took them three weeks to sell the truck for exactly what we had discussed in our first meeting.Overall I was very pleased with the service Daniel Boone provided.

Came to look and get information about a truck. Guy kept saying... I will be there shortly with you, it’ll just a moment sir, just one more minute. I understand you were helping someone else, but I didn’t expect to stand and sit there for 30 minutes. Waste of my time. I don’t know if you had other workers to help out, you might I don’t know.. but one person on the lot, you’re losing money.

Carl was second in command and treated us with knowledge and courtesy. We purchased a truck which wasnt what we originally went for. Our trip was to the agency was two hours long, and we were at the store less than that! A good experience 😁 8/19 update: we had to take the truck back, spent over a week in the shop as soon as we got home!

Best car buying experience ever. I have purchased many vehicles in the past and I have never been treated as well as I have here with Marty Nelson and Mr. Boone. These are two of the most honest men I have ever delt with. They ONLY buy locally owned vehicles from the top dealerships. You will never have to worry about buying a lemon that has come from another state.Several family members have purchased their vehicles for their kids because Daniel Boone Auto can be trusted..Thank you guys for helping my family into our new family vehicle!!

Two words: TITLE KITING. Dealer openly admits to kiting their titles. This means they sell vehicles that they do not have the title for. No matter which way you spin it, its ILLEGAL. I purchased a vehicle from them and actually had to return it because they were never able to aquire the title for it. The other car I got in place of the first one ended up totally dead in the water after 3 weeks. About $2000 later and I finally have a working vehicle.I originally purchased the first vehicle from them in October (husband got one too) and it is only today (the end of February) that this mess has finally cleared up and I have a working vehicle. I was constantly reminded by the owner how much money he was losing on this transaction (as if I was somehow the cause of the problem? I have no idea). I really should have walked away after the first car had to be returned, but I wasnt familiar with what title kiting is. Some of the absolute worst customer service and questionable ethics I have seen. Save yourself the trouble. PLEASE SHOP A MORE REPUTABLE DEALER WHO DOESNT ENGAGE IN TITLE KITING.Update: Not too long after this post, BOTH my husbands vehicle and mine needed new engines. This could not have possibly been a worse experience. Well, nobody died, so it could have been worse. But the cars died.

I bought a 03 Volkswagen bug, he told me he has over 4000 in the car, I paid him 3500 cash, I had a bank card and was charged 200 to use it they told me they get charged, which I have never heard of .the car broke down on me on the way home, was missing a brake caliber. Which could have caused a accident with my children in the car. I WENT A COUPLE WEEKS LATER TO GET THE OIL CHANGED AND TOLD THE TIRES WERE UNSAFE DRY ROTTED, BOTH AXLES HAD TO BE REPLACED NEEDED BRAKES AND HAS A LARGE OIL LEAK SO I HAVE HAD TO PUT 1200 MORE TO FIX IT

RIPPED ME OFF!! I bought a 2011 Toyota corolla S from him. he told me the car had only body damage when he got it and that it was an easy fix. after I bought it I got the car inspected (yes I know I should have done that before I bought it but some things you couldnt notice unless you drove it for a while) the tires were bald and not the right size for the car. needed alignment. the left headlight was replaced, brakes were wore out, rotors were warped. rear window wont defog. radiator and radiator support were replaced, right front side shell of the car was bent and some parts were welded back on (looks like a 10 year old did it), window washers were never installed. rear seats didnt have headrests. he ripped me off and lied to my face while making a lot of money off of me. now im spending 2000 fixing everything

I stopped by this car lot on my way home one day and talked to an older man regarding buying a car. He steered me towards a Lincoln that he boasted about replacing the engine in and was selling for less than he had in it. Based on at least one previous review Ive read, this seems to be their gimmick.I test drove it and took a cursory look under the hood. At the time there were two things of concern: an air bag light on (which turned out to be unrelated to the air bags) and every tire was a different size and dry rotted with no tread (which is how I ended up at that awful J&W Tire place). But everything else seemed ok so I decided to go for it. Financing was easy.I tried going by there (which is on New Leicester Highway, and not Old Country Road) several times to pick up my tag afterwards and there was no one there. Eventually I did get a call saying to pick up my tag, which I asked them to mail given their history of leaving the lot unmanned. Week and a half goes by, no tag, so I go back and find Marty there, who tells me it was mailed only three days prior.About a month later I get my first oil changed. I use the factory spec 5w20 oil and found that I now had an oil pressure light on my dash. Being an amateur mechanic myself and knowing a couple of ASE certified mechanics, I investigated and between the three of us concluded that a thicker motor oil had likely been used to mask an existing oil pressure problem, given the timing of the light.Given that this lot had replaced the engine, I called and left a message explaining the issue and wanted to know how they wanted to handle it. I was attempting to to be diplomatic since you get more flies with honey than vinegar (or however that saying goes). I wake up Monday morning to a rather frantic message from Marty blaming the oil filter.Yes, a bad oil filter can in theory cause this, but weve since eliminated this, so I called back and left another message.Marty calls back and argues that they used the factory motor oil and that was that. I explained that multiple mechanics say he is wrong, and while I dont necessarily want to blame the lot, he cant argue with facts. Thats exactly what he did. Then he used the As Is argument. Basically, everything you expect from a car lot caught doing people wrong.Realistically there isnt much I can do. I do plan to pursue a few avenues including the consumer protection division of the Dept. Of Justice and possibly a civil suit, but moral of the story is DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!Seriously, what is with mechanics/car lots on New Leicester Highway being so shady?Follow up: shortly after getting the car, I received the title in the mail. Given that I had financed it, this didnt seem right, but I was already upset with the dealer pre-engine fiasco and decided to hang onto it until someone came looking for it.Well, a few weeks ago, someone came looking. It was the field manager for the finance company. He calls and asks if I have it, to which I tell him I do. He then tells me to call the title office of the finance company, where a very unpleasant woman ordered me to call the dealer, which I was very hesitant to do. So I called the original guy back, who then explains to me that the staff, particularly Marty, no longer worked there and left a huge mess behind (fired, maybe?).I call the dealer, and the dude who answers clearly does not understand or care about my problem. He says to mail the title to him, which I then pay $40 to overnight (have since moved to Maryland).Shortly after that, I get a letter from the state telling me to mail THEM the title. I call the dealer back, get the same guy, who says he gave it to the original guy I spoke with. I call him, and he says thats not true. He then puts us on a conference call to which we agreed the dealer would send back the title. I have yet to receive it.Months after my purchase and this place is still screwing me.Final follow up: six months into this car, the transmission goes out. Voluntarily relinquishing the car to the finance company, ruining my credit.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! DO NOT TRUST THEIR CARFAX!!!! Bought a 2004 Toyota Tacoma truck from them in April of 2015 and...like the others, should have had it looked at by a mechanic but we didnt We did buy it as is, no warranty...OUR BAD!! However, now...two weeks ago the back end of the truck fell off of the truck because the rust damage was so severe it gave way. It could have cause a major accident and we are lucky my son was able to steer it to safety. The underneath is entirely corroded away with rust and shows that someone tried to repair it but that now has given away. There is no way to repair it as there is nothing good to attach anything too that would hold...its all rusted. FLOODED is our mechanics guess but the CARFAX did not report any previous damage. Now we cant sell it or repair it! A TOTAL loss of $13, 000!!!! DO NOT TRUST CARFAX or this company...take it to a mechanic...my son could have been killed in an accident and now has no truck or way to recoup his money!!!
