Went for my yearly check-up and to get new glasses. It was great! Staff were all extremely nice, doctor was amazing, and they had a nice selection of glasses to choose from. Extremely fast also, I didnt even have to sit in the waiting chair. I cant wait until my glasses come in!!

Going here for 15+ years (both locations). Superb docs. Office staff is always kind and works to resolve any need. I’ve experienced numerous docs in the past and these ladies are exemplary. Anyone posting below 4 stars likely hasn’t experienced enough eye care facilities.

This place is extremely expensive for my experience. I have vision insurance (spectera)and had to pay $170 out of pocket for a contact lense exam only.

High compliments to the doctors and staff at First Eye Care-North Arlington, especially Franklin.Being a current patient, Franklin was more than happy to assist me with a complicated repair of glasses that I have had for some time prior to being a patient there. I was amazed at how rapidly he was able to give me a solid repair ! He followed up and made sure it fit, like it did previously. Rude Dr. Vanessa and her assistant totally unprofessional and at the end I got a wrong prescription, I mean terrible wrong.Today I come back for a reexamination, with different Dr., diferent assistant, much better.Better find a real place with a real dr. I had an awesome experience here. I was struggling with soft contacts for 2 years (switched from RGP) and the optometrist immediately saw why I was having so much trouble and switched me to a different brand and something better suited for my astigmatism. I felt the difference immediately. Office is super clean and the appointment ran smoothly and very thoroughly. Ill be coming back for sure!

Did they change their name? Google shows two names for the same location. Anyways. Dont come here for lack of accountability. Ordered safety glasses back in summer, waited for a call that the order was ready but got nothing. Looks like someone else with the same name picked it up but the clinic didnt confirm ID or birthday anything so a few weeks later we called them and they said someone already picked it up. Well it wasnt us so the clinic said theyd reorder. Long story short 7 months later still dont have it, they say Justin is the ONLY one who can check on safety side shields. Apparently the bits of plastic have been on backorder but sure enough Im still charged the money for product that has ZERO eta. No one can give me an estimate. He seems to always work not the days I call so Im just unlucky but that just frustrates me they cant provide a reliable service to you unless all the stars allign. Theyve also said well call you back and I get nothing. Worst comes to worst Ill back charge the charge but yeah, its a hassle.

My experience here was amazing from start to finish! I felt really pleased with the quality of service this place showed me. Very impressed with the receptionists, Dr. Karanges, and the person who helped me at the end with my insurance stuff and picking/ordering my new glasses. I definitely recommend giving this place a try, Im glad I did!

Wait time was a bit long in my opinion (30 mins in waiting room). However, once I was seen everything was great. Dr. Nguyen was friendly,professional, and fast. The rest of the staff was great as well. I wish there was more selection of glasses, but I’m happy with the ones I got. Clinic was clean and up to date on machines. :)

Got my new lens in my old frames last week. Going to wait another week to wear as I am not sure the no lines are in the right positions. I am having to tilt my head to read signs instead of looking straight ahead. I realized when my setting were being done, I was not sitting up straight and the laptop was open directly in front of me. Suggest moving it off to the side so we are sitting up straight when the checks on position are being done and it is not being reached over to do the checks.The new office is nice...but a bit confusing as I thought the first desk was the one to make an appointment at...nope, it is the one in the back to the right of where the glasses are worked on. A bit confusing. Of course, if you call in for one, you would go to the front one. The front one is when you have an appointment and check in there.Staff is, as it always has been, very friendly.Got my contacts for distance that day and all set to go. The new use one day and toss is great...no mess with cleaning daily!Thank you!

When starting out with my appointment, the place was great! I would have loved to have been able to write a 5 star review if it had just been about the examination. But after selecting what glasses I had wanted was where my troubles began. I had went with an everyday, a pair of sunglasses, and wanted to get a pair of safety glasses as well. My everyday glasses and sunglasses are great, but when I tried to get safety glasses they were not sure and had to talk to the manufacturer to see what my pricing would be. When I went and picked up my other 2 pairs I put the order in for my safety glasses. I was told the safety glasses would be 3-6 weeks, which was understandable since it was around when COVID lockdowns were occuring. I waited for them to contact me for 8 weekds and ended up calling them. They had said they did not have any safety glasses ready for pickup and when they looked at my file they had marked down that the safety glasses were delivered 2 weeks prior. I had stated that I had not received this pair and had not been back to the store since picking up my other 2 pairs of glasses. They were able to get the glasses ordered again, but I had to wait another 4 weeks. Again, I had to call them to see what the status of my glasses was. When I went and FINALLY picked up my glasses (3 months after ordering them) I was told that the side shields for the glasses were on back order and they would have to contact me when they were available, estimated 2 weeks. It has now been 6 weeks and I have not received the side shields for my safety glasses. I have called several times and have been told that they needed to check on the status of the side shields and they would call me back, I never received a call back about this status. Contacted them again today and the individual said that he didnt have access to that information and the person who did will be in tomorrow and he would call me then (not sure if this will happen or not based on previous experiences).I appear to have been correct on my assumption that I would not have received a call the next day or apparently even the day after. This has been by far one of the worst experiences I have had with customer service, I would expect that after having been assured that I would receive a phone call that I could at least have received some status update on this. I understand that when they would be receiving the item may be out of their hands, but informing someone they are at least trying to find out the information and being able to give them an update is something they can control. I will be calling again today, hopefully I can get some information on where the side shields are...

The staff and doctors here are wonderful. I’ve been seeing Dr. Nguyen (spelling?) for 3 years now and she is so wonderful. She takes time to speak to me like a person. She doesn’t rush through my appointment and she answer any questions I have. The rest of the staff take time to explain all the procedures and tests and they are very helpful and patient. I highly recommend First Eye Care in Arlington!!!

The new location is really nice. All of the staff is helpful and friendly. The only reason I didnt give five starts is because they were out of stock on glasses that my plan would cover so I have to go back to pick out glasses when the shipment comes in.

I took my own frame to have my prescription added. When I picked up the glasses, the old nose cushions had not been changed. I wasnt given a new (even cheap) eyeglass case, no cleaning cloth and no cleaning solution. Really?? Being across the street from the Viridian does not give you permission to offer less and charge more. I could have gone to a less expensive place and received all of the above. Next time, I will.

I setup the whole family to have the eyes checked. The staff was courteous and efficient. The eye exams were thorough and Dr. Nguyen took time to explain her findings. They had a good selection of frames to choose from. My wife and I were very happy with our experience.

They have a great selection of frames and in very little time the staff helped me select a very nice pair of eyeglasses. Annual eye exam was a great experience as usual. Staff are always helpful and friendly. First visit at new location after many years at old location. Not as easy to get in and out of parking lot as before, but the new office is nice.

First Eye Care has been treating my eye care needs for several years now. The entire staff there is very professional. From the glasses department to the front desk to the contact fitting, the entire experience has always been quick and easy. I have seen both Dr. Karanges and Dr. Nguyen in the past. They are very friendly and knowledgeable and have always made me feel comfortable and taken care of! This is great place to receive eye care!

They are upfront about the cost of everything, work with eye insurances, answer questions, and are more helpful about my eye allergies than my allergist.As someone said, they may cost a bit more but honestly, they worth every dollar.I went to other eye doctors and places in the past and wasted money for a rushed exam ending in wrong prescriptions, mix ups with my contacts, cheap glasses and lenses that broke shortly after purchase, and they were not very kind or helpful at all.Lesson learned, you pay for what you get. Ive been going to First Eye Care North Arlington for years and havent looked back.

Overall, I did enjoy my visit here. The doctor was pleasant as well as the other staff. My only hesitation on giving this location a 5-star rating was I wish they had more of a selection on frame options. I do love a great, classic frame so they did suit my needs.

Dr. Karanges is patient and attentive! I had my eye exam with her last year in 2016 and all went well throughout my visit. Shes worth going back. The only issue at that time was that the glasses I purchased were expensive out of pocket and broke 2 times. The second time was not covered by insurance because of time frame. This year when I called to schedule an appointment and inquire about insurance coverage I was very disappointed with the customer service. I called on two different occasions and was misinformed about my insurance coverage. The representative was not friendly and acted reluctant to help me both times. I ended up calling back and speaking with someone else who actually took the 2 minutes to look up the correct insurance information. Further, when I asked to speak to a manager to voice my concern I was told she was unavailable with no office contact information. Months later I had to bring my glasses in for a scratch on one of the lenses and they were sent off to the lab to be fixed. When they were ready to be picked up I noticed that the new lenses were 3X as thick as the original lenses I purchased and were literally hanging outside the frames. It looked like I was looking through the bottom of a coke bottle. When I immediately brought it to the associates attention he acted as if he didnt notice a difference. He gave a weak explanation of how the insurance replaced the lenses with the exact ones that I brought in so therefore I must be mistaken and not remember my own glasses. He was not going to look into it any further until I persisted he give the lab a call. When he finally did (after 10 minutes of trying to convince him something was different) he discovered that the lenses were in fact different because a different curve was used in the lab. He then proceeded to say he had never known them to do that and did not apologize for his lack of knowledge. He went even further to say that insurance is not required to replace lenses with the same curve and it just depends on what is available. I had to be firm and insist he get it corrected since it wasnt what I paid for and I didnt want to walk around looking through coke bottles. I really like the doctor but can do without the poor customer service. I dont plan on making anymore purchases here.

I always receive 5 star service from Dr. Karanges and I highly recommend her! She spends the time to ensure my contacts fit and most importantly that I can see well out of them!

Awesome office staff! What really sealed the deal was when I was picking out my frames Irfan not only helped me pick the best ones, he took notes sat down with me explained all the pros and cons of each style and lens type. He was very knowledgeable and a big help!

They have a great selection of glasses and the staff was pretty nice but they failed at getting my lenses correct 3 times. I paid for anti glare on my lenses but you can see everything in the lenses. After the first two lenses didnt work, they just stopped answering my phone call. I called twice and left messages and still havent received a call back. As much as I love their glasses selection, I will never shop with them again because they didnt even have the decency to call back and correct the mistake they keep making. Or even offer a refund for the special lenses that I asked for.

My family has been going to Dr. Karanges for several years now and we absolutely love her. She’s patient, thorough and listens to any and all concerns you may have with your eyes. I had major issues with wearing contacts due to my extreme astigmatism, but Dr. Karanges was patient with me and let me try out about 4 different brands over the course of a month so I could find the right ones for me. The staff are all very kind and they will always work with your schedule. I like that they are open one Saturday a month as well. Highly recommend First Eye Care!

Ive been going here for a few years now. First time I went they were incredibly nice and thorough and never had any issues.But the last few times that I have gone Ive felt incredibly rushed. When I went for my contact fitting the doctor only gave me 2 types of contacts to try. When I said I didnt like either during the follow-up she just gave me the same brand again. I asked for a specific brand that a friend recommended and had a coupon from the manufacturer but the request was totally ignored.If you need glasses the Opticians are both very helpful and knowledgeable and thats the only reason my review isnt any lower than it is.

I’m a first timer for anything regarding my vision. Thought it was slightly perfect lol until now. I arrived on time, and walked in. The front desk asked what she could assist me with and I stated I had an appt. I figured for a consult since that what’s I spoke with the person on the phone for and previously. So the lady asked for my insurance and stated my payment would be made later but still I don’t know what I’m getting done, who, etc etc IM NEW NEW. The lady then precedes to say “I take it you don’t have insurance” ... EXCUSE ME? I then removed my glasses to look her in her face. I took a seat as she verified my info. Stated I didn’t have vision insurance when I knew I did but I didn’t want to argue. Then, I wanna say a tech took me back: never asked my name, never stated her name, nor was this my first time. Therefore every reaction to what I was doing I was very hesitant. We sat down to see something and she blew some air in my eye. COME ON NOW, if you’re about to do that please announce what’s about to take place so I may be aware cause at this point I’m ready to leave. GRATEFULLY, the dr that came in was very upbeat, very uplifting and came in ready to assist and answer all my questions which calmed me down. In and out. Then the sweet lady at the front was the absolute sweetest. Overall I put in my order for my prescription and went about my day. 2-3 hours later, the office calls back to correct that I did have insurance and that it’ll be refunded etc etc. I am an entrepreneur and I am SO BIG on customer service it’s ridiculous lol I am a client is bae type of person therefore you’re not just a person; you’re a person I’m about to TAKE CARE of because that’s the position I signed up for and I did not feel that from my first 2 people I spoke with. My mom was very upset and I’m trying to prevent her from going up there but that just isn’t right. I’ll pray

Def recommd First Eye care. The last place I went made glasses that were not the correct prescription and didnt tell me about an eye issue that I could have had. Had paid $100s for glasses and never wore.After bringing them here, we realIzed why they hurt so bad. The staff here will take care of you and the doctor will take her time to help you understand.Would Recommend to anyone.

I asked up front for the cost of my exam, I was not only underquoted, I was charged an additional fee. My routine examame was double the price of my husband and also the prescription fee was 3 times higher.My husband went to a Accent Optometry in Arlington and received the same services. My total charge $164, my husbands total $75. PRICE GAUGING AT ITS BEST!!!

New building across from Veridian, but the waiting area is terrible. There is a long bench in the middle of the front entrance that resembles an ottoman. No chairs other than at the desks used for showing off frames. Had to wait a little longer due to all the exam rooms being occupied. Nothing remarkable, but nothing outstanding.
