So, to share a little more detail - this place receives consistently high marks for a reason: they are professional, polite, friendly, and helpful. They obviously have good relationships with customers. They do not over-sell products and services. They are honest about what should or could be done and what should not be done. No, they are not cheap but you get a quality product/service for the money and they are far better than a dealership. J & F was very helpful, they worked fast and communicated effectively. I dropped off my car for a 30k mile service and for some issues it was having after hitting a pothole. They offer very high quality work but along with that comes higher prices.My insurance’s (GEICO) quote came in significantly below their charges and left me with a hefty bill on top of my deductible. Even though they gave me a 10% first time discount their costs came in much higher than other shops I had called however due to time constraints I went ahead with their services.If you are looking for top quality work with great service and willing to pay the extra dollar for it they are the place to go.

I came in on a whim because my backseat floor was flooded during the heavy rains. I had already taken the car a detailing guy to have the water vacuumed out, the sunroof channels unplugged and then picked it up desert dry. Charlie not only fit me in when their schedule was extremely tight but offered to fix it himself if needed because more rain was on the way. We thought it might the back passenger vapor seal (because that is where the 4” of water was) but after another rain they found out it was the drivers side. (?!) I got my car back all fixed and dry and the wait was MORE THAN WORTH IT. Customer service is five star. Not only will I be a returning customer but we will be bringing in our Z4 for some much needed spa time when we import it this year.

I have an aging 2008 model of a BMW 328xi, and the cost and quality of repairs are a critical issue. I gave up on local dealers largely because of cost, and their hard sell of optional repairs. J&F has always been a pleasure to deal with, set up appointments where work got done almost immediately, and sorted out any issues by phone, rather than waiting for me to come in. Costs have not been low -- nothing relating to BMW is -- but have been significantly lower than those of dealers. Best of all, my experiences have been consistently and repeated good.

The best BMW service on the planet as far as I’m concerned (includes Germany - stationed there many moons ago). Always give you the straight scoop and don’t overcharge or recommend unnecessary services. I took on ownership of a 1988 BMW M6 E24 over 10 years ago and entrusted the J&F team with its mechanical restoration. Through many projects, from major projects like removing the self-leveling system to minor fixes and replacing virtually all of the 30-year old hoses, gaskets, etc. the J&F team were creative, transparent and honest. Next, they are truly mechanical wizards...they know their stuff, which made diagnosis and repairs faster and much more durable. Finally, they seemed to be able to source hard to find parts and always provided me with a prioritized list of needed repairs so that I could plan for them over time. So I would highly recommend J&F for all things BMW (I can’t speak to other makes!)

FIVE STARS! I started using these guys after I received a $600 oil change bill from Porsche. I know right?? $600!!! Anyways, the interaction with them was top notch and I am very impressed with Charlie and everyone that I have interacted with there...even the dog. Just recently I had some leaking showing up on the passenger side. They took all day to test it out and couldn’t find anything. Charlie said, ‘I wish I could sell you something, but we didn’t find anything’. They didn’t even charge me for the time. They got my loyalty for life. The folks at J&F Motors are very professional and informative. They go above and beyond to make sure our questions are answered. When I took my Audi to J&F earlier for a general maintenance check-up and oil change after a year of very little driving during the pandemic I was eased with their honest plain talk assessment of my car. They inform me that my brake pads were all right but that they would probably need replacing when I brought my car in for its next routine service or prior to that if I noticed any problem. I did start to hear some squeaking and since we are now planning a road trip of more than 1000 miles next month I mad an appointment and took my car in. They are the nicest, friendliest folks. They remembered me, pulled up the record, I left the car and did the needed work and for exactly the estimate they had given me a few months ago. They also checked the tires which to not need replacing yet. I have the utmost confidence in Greg and Mike and their team at J & F. They are honest, they dont try to “upsell” you like dealership shops and they tell it like it is. They provide first class service at affordable prices. I will recommend J&F to anyone with a European car. In fact I sent my daughter to them after several unfortunate experiences at her VW dealership. Now there are two J&F fans in our family. Brought my 435i to them for the first time and let them know I was looking for a quality indy shop in the area and had heard they provided quality service at honest prices. They gave me an oil change for $165 which I thought was a bit high - thats about what I expected a dealer to charge but I didnt get a quote from a dealer to compare so I didnt complain. Then they recommended changing my cabin and engine air filters. Fair enough, they havent been changed yet and are probably due. They quoted me $52 for the engine air filter, $59 for the cabin air filter and $145 in labor for a total of $256.The genuine BMW engine air filter costs $35, the genuine cabin filter costs $46 and buying from an OEM supplier like Corteco cuts those prices in half. These are very easy to install as well, they both take about five minutes. An actual technician could install these with their eyes closed so I have no idea where they got $145 of labor from.Needless to say I realized I was bring ripped off and didnt have them change the filters. Its unfortunate because I wanted this to become my go-to shop but instead of getting all of my future business they tried to rip me off over some simple filters on my first visit immediately after I told them I heard they were a good place and wouldnt rip me off. My interactions with the staff were great, very friendly people, but I left insulted at that quote and wont be back as a result. Prioritizing a quick buck over a potential lifetime customer...

Very professional and thorough. I brought my 2016 BMW X6 in for new front brakes. Ended up being the rear brakes. As always they did a thorough analysis by liking at the brakes. Informed me that I had some time before the front brakes were due. Charlie is always friendly and this time Skylar was happy to take me to Shirlington while I waited. They were right on time, less than 3 hours. I really don’t know why anyone whose car is past warranty would take it to the dealer. I have really appreciated the work they do, even during the pandemic when I am sure it was hard to stay open. I truly believe doing business here has made me enjoy my X6 even more. Highly recommend to others.

J&F is my independent shop of choice. The guys are generally a pleasure to work with. They get 5 stars from me for quality of service, communication, advice, customer service and standing behind their work. Other shops may be slightly less expensive at face value but, in my experience, it’s worth paying to have the job done right the first time. If an issue arises they take care of it. They fixed an oil leak which subsequently returned after about 13 months. Dropped it off with J&F and they handled all the repairs and called to tell me the job was covered by their shop guarantee; my cost was $0. This was done without me having to ask.Because of the loyal client base, you’ll usually need to call a few days ahead for an appointment. But they often get the work done early and keep you updated if the timeline is going to be extended.Another big plus: the facility is very clean and has a good amount of well-organized parking, so no worries about your car being in harm’s way when it’s waiting. Can’t say that about most shops.

J&F have been a blessing to me and my X3 especially since she is no longer under BMW warranty. Ive called last minute with emergencies and for scheduled services. They have always explained everything and provide options for ensuring my issues were resolved. The shuttle service is an added plus as it drops off right next to my job. I bought a used BMW and J&F has serviced it since Ive owned it. They have been great taking time to explain issues and repairs as well as discuss potential issues in the future. Their cost and time estimates have been accurate, although one time due to a decrease in the cost of parts, the cost was several hundred dollars less than the estimate. Their drop off service has been helpful and prompt. Based on my experience I would consider them trustworthy. Their prices arent cheap but I feel good taking my vehicle to a shop that knows how to properly service a BMW.

On Friday, my 80 year old mother was gracious enough to bring my car in for me to this shop. I needed an alignment and hoped they would check over the car. They were upfront with her, once she got there, that the alignment cost more than the dealership, $350. They also found a problem with the air conditioning. It was not time for an oil change they told me and yet my mother left after 4 hours with a $1000 bill. Truthfully, about 5 dollars under $1000. Today its Tuesday and one of the tires that was aligned has a massive hole in it. They seemed to not be concerned about solving any of these issues for me. I cannot recommend them unless donating cash to mechanics is on your charity priority list.

$3600 estimate was a $3900 charge. Promised for Wednesday early afternoon. I emailed Id be there Thursday at 7:30 AM open.They got busy. To busy to let me know.Were nice enough Thursday morning offering me a rental apologizing for not letting me know... Car was done at one.My second time there. $125/hour and everything seems billable. Must be careful about what I ask about, mention!? $3900 included a good will discount.Do like them. Think they do good work. Curious about replacing not just belts but also pulleys, Not heard that before. 2003 330xi in for its 90k, Also did front end bushings and rear brake overhaul.Thinking twice before going back...

Great experience, very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I came in with a very difficult problem to diagnose after trying several other places with no luck. They not only found the problem, but also found out that there was an extended warranty on the piece due to manufacturer error, and sent me to the dealer to get it replaced for free for nothing more than the inspection fee. Great guys all around!Edit: Just updating to add that two years on, this is still the only place I trust with my aging Mini Cooper. ☺️Though BMW prices can be steep, they always work so hard to get it done as efficiently as possible. If they say something needs doing, you can trust them 100%. Couldnt meet a nicer team.
