I have ordered vegan food from here about 20x including their holiday pies, biscuits, and Christmas cookies. I loooove the orzo salad, their soups, and the vegan egg/tempeh English muffin sandwich!! And all the sweets, oh my! Their dessert case is always rotating so I tend to get 3-6 options. Some highlights include the lemon meringue pie, key lime cake, thumbprint cookies (basic, I know, but perfect), and many more. I dont care for their cupcake frosting (which is different than their cake frosting for some reason) or how their pieces of cake/pie got smaller over time (I dont mind small pieces but I do like consistency). Good customer service, too. I had an issue with an apple pie being undercooked and they offered my money back.

I love this place so much - if I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. I tell everyone I know to go here. The employees are nice; everything on the menu is very tasty - Ive tried salads, breakfast sandwiches, both meat and vegan options. Sandwiches and their seasonal specials are so good like the crabless cake sandwich, and all the different oatmeal they come up with (the flavored nut butters they use are out of this world). The coffee is great; they have dairy alternative milks. The cafe is so cute and very clean and tidy. Their baked goods are also a nice sweet treat and there are usually many options to try. The online ordering system could not be any easier - I order from Bonafide at least twice a week. This is my go to place for a quick, healthy meal. They are open 7-8 every day and that is very convenient for an early riser like me who likes to get up and going. Thank you Bonafide for being in this community and offering lots of yummy food for meat and non meat eaters alike!

This place is a great find! I drove past multiple times and finally decided to stop. The deserts are super tastyyyyy. I ordered a jam thumbprint, a chocolate chip cookie and a treacle tart (major points for the harry potter reference). I was surprised how big the cookie and tart were. I ended up saving half for later. I also decided on the pesto sandwich while I was there. I was surprised how fresh the Sandwich tasted! And the bread was delicious. I only have half a picture because it was so tasty I forgot to snap a photo. I didnt stay because I had errands, but this place seems nice and cozy. Ill definitely come back to try the cinnamon rolls! If you are looking for a bakery with vegan options this could be your new spot!

It is... amazing okay? The chairs are comfy. The music is just on point. The food!! Fairly priced, delicious, and the portion is just right to fill you up but not be heavy. The beyond florentine sandwich with a vegan sausage was SO good! Cant wait to try all their baked sweets😍

Do not skip the cinnamon rolls!! (SO good). My chicken pesto focaccia was delicious, albeit a little oily (which I have no problem with, but it might bother some ppl). Definitely worth a visit.

I had a lovely time at Bonafide on 4th of July with my family! I had been creeping them on social media for quite awhile, and am glad to have finally made it over (and am looking forward to going back!) As a vegan, the menu was extremely accessible and exciting! Having the vegan assortment of sandwiches and desserts that they did is a beautiful exception to my typical cafe experiences. My choices werent limited, and it was a treat to find an array of yummy food and sweets. Yet the menu wasnt overwhelming, as my non-vegan parents also throughly enjoyed what they ordered. I ordered the southwest tempeh sandwich, which was fresh and flavorful and nourishing. My dad and I were both very pleased with the bread-to-stuff ratio of our sandwiches. I also value the incorporation of local producers throughout Bonafides food and cafe! I took home a glorious slice of blueberry cheesecake, which was damn good, and the last one of their vegan magic bars. The magic bar, with coconut, white and dark chocolate, and graham cracker, is what dreams are made of. In fact, trying it this morning expedited my need to write this review haha. So many good options, so little time! Great for grabbing a quick coffee and treats - you cant stop with one... One of my favorites is the Maple Pecan Blondie but running with any of the other treats will not do you wrong. When things get back to normal, nestled in quiet space, you can meet up with friends and enjoy the great space the owners have made.

Absolutely delicious vegan baked goods and sandwiches. The vegan tomato basil soup was also incredible. So grateful to have a bakery/cafe with super solid vegan options in Apex!

I try to give 10 stars, but thats not an option I guess. This is my second time here, and it appears that you cant go wrong with ordering anything. So, get what you want because youll enjoy it!

Seriously...how can you not love a place that puts their coffee in such awesome cups!!😂Breakfast sandwiches are great and served all day long. They will customize your meal in what ever manner suits you best.Also, Make sure you don’t miss the hand written specials on the chalkboard....I missed out on crab cakes because I didn’t notice it until it was too late.Did I mention the coffee beats the pants off of the Starbucks a few doors down😳

I ordered a tray of brownies, another tray of brownies with walnuts and some maple pecan blondies for my husband’s birthday party and they were all sooo good. Everyone raved over them. I only wish people had let me send them home with leftovers because now we can’t stop eating them! Highly recommend!!

Cozy bake shop next to good shopping options. Small selection, but all options looked delicious and made with passion. Bonfide had some of the staples--pies, cheesecake, cakes, cookies, etc--but also some items that set them apart--violet tarts and strawberry-basil scones. They carry several local goods such as teas and nut butters. Staff were polite and helpful, checkout was fast and easy. Location was small, but sufficient. My only regret was not being able to stay longer and try more of their treats.

Ive eaten here twice now since its in my work complex and havent been disappointed yet. My first time there I had the Medi Eggplant Sandwich which was fantastic. Today I got the Buffalo Tofu Sandwich. I am not a vegetarian, but these two sandwiches have me thinking I could be. The desserts look amazing too. Its an excellent little Cafe for those looking for a quick bite!

Such a beautiful, cozy and delightful cafe. We loved everything we ordered. Lemon blueberry cheesecake, choco chip scone, cinnamon role, banana pecan pie and more :). Didn’t even get a chance to take pictures, everything disappeared quickly out the box. We will definitely be back to try the breakfast and lunch menu.

Wish I could give this AMAZING place 7 stars.... The vegan baked items I tried were just unbelievable... We tried the lemon poppy seed muffins, thumbprint cookies, mocha cheesecake, and coconut cake (ALL VEGAN!) Nice to finally find a place that sells exceptional items at an exceptional price as well...cake wasnt $80 like some other bakeries in this area. Wish I would have taken pictures!!!

Delightful and quaint place. Have been and ordered the Cobb salad twice, to go. I was pleasantly surprised in the freshness and amount of ingredients. The blue cheese was not strong, the chicken and bacon was very flavorful. But the salad dressing tastes watered down. Will try something else next time if I’m by there again.

Oh my goodness. Ive been following them on social media for a few months and their food looked so good. We finally made it out to them and I wasnt prepared for it to be THAT GOOD. The BEST breakfast sandwich Ive had in my life! The perfectly crunchy typing on the delicious crumb cake! The fresh and flavorful crabless cake sandwich! I have been thinking of this food ever since! I wanna try everything! Plenty of exciting vegan options to choose from and a lovely atmosphere.

Perfect portion and price compared $9 from your well known cheesecake factory.Environment is comfortable, clean and inviting. The music is perfect for the vibe as well.Will be back for more!

I love this bakeshop! Their coffee is great and the espresso is nice and strong. I have never been disappointed with any of their baked goods. We ordered a Bourbon Pecan pie for Christmas and it was a real hit! But, I will say that the item that put it over the top for me was the Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a Kaiser Roll. As a NY transplant, this is the item that I miss the most from the Northeast and Bonafide has nailed it. The roll is on point and the ingredients are high quality. I wholeheartedly endorse this cafe. My husband and I are new to Apex and stopped in for breakfast today. Wow! Im vegan and my husband isnt and Bonafide had excellent options for both of us! Its rare you find a breakfast/brunch place with so many vegan options! We both tried the apple cinnamon and chocolate espresso oats and they were absolutely delicious. My vegan breakfast sandwich with tempeh bacon, vegan cheese and the Just egg was fantastic! Definitely coming back, as this place is only 3 minutes away from us, cant wait to try some of their pastries! 10/10~

Excellent!!! What a great little treasure here in Apex!! I stopped In today for a roast beef sandwich and it was delicious!!!! Nice thin sliced roast beef with this delicious horseradish Mayo, it was perfect!I couldnt leave with trying the baked goods too, I took home the Chocolate peanut butter brownie, let’s just say I’m not sharing! I have beautiful pies cakes cookies, crumb cakes, etc. All the deliciousness right in one place! I just love it and I’m so excited to have a nice little shop like this in Apex to go in and grab a sandwich or sit down and have a nice lunch. By the way the staff was excellent super friendly super helpful and just really nice guys

Coffee roll was great, but frosting was a bit too sweet. Tried the blueberry cobbler, strawberry shortcake, artichoke quiche, ham gruyere quiche and they were all decent.Americano and drip coffee were good, too!

This has become my absolute favorite shop because of all the wonderful vegan goodies! Its so nice to have a variety to choose from. Favorites include the Mediterranean eggplant sandwich, just egg breakfast sandwich, and all the cheesecakes!

They make excellent food and baked goods. The staff is always friendly. The German chocolate cake is phenomenal. I love ordering a cup of hot Earl Grey tea and a jam thumbprint cookie or two. The buffalo tofu sandwich great. I wish it was spicier, but that is a minor complaint at most. Overall, I highly recommend a meal at Bonafide.

I ordered the vegan “just egg “sandwich with cheese and tempeh bacon on a biscuit. My sandwich came to my table and the cheese looked too real and the tempeh bacon looked more like unreal brand meat,& the egg was fried just right, oh and the biscuit looked great 👍. I took a few bites and relished how far vegan food has come, that is until the chef came out and took my plate away from me. I said this isn’t mine and he said no it isn’t. A few minutes later my vegan sandwich arrived looking very vegan and I apologized to the lady behind me for eating her steak, egg& cheese on a biscuit. That was my first taste in over 5 years. Thankfully I wasn’t allergic to egg .

Have tried numerous sandwiches and cakes, pies, cupcakes from this place and most are solidly mediocre at best.Every cupcake Ive had has been DRY and stale tasting. The icing just dropped off completely from the cupcake. Once I got into the cupcake itself, it separated b/c of the dryness.The Turtle cake was so dry and just a mix of unpleasant flavors.The Chicken Salad was one of the worst tasting chicken salads Ive ever had. Pesto Chicken sandwich wasnt good either. BBQ Jackfruit was more like a slaw sandwich with little BBQ.I must be missing something. Have given this place numerous times to prove their competence but, alas, Im disappointed and cant return. Im wondering if all the glowing reviews are family and/or friends of the family.

I am SO HAPPY that a locally owned coffee shop has opened in Beaver Creek! They make their coffee great and you can actually taste the espresso, which I don’t seem to get at a chain like Dunkin. Also, the fact that they have gluten free and vegan options and mark them for you to easily read is amazing. As someone with dietary restrictions this is so helpful. We have tried their cheesecake, cupcake, peach cobbler, and ice lattes. All have been excellent!

I love love LOVE this place! I’m new to NC and this place is magically right around the corner from me. I’m also about 97% vegan and can’t believe how many delicious, filling, fun and satisfying vegan options there are. When there’s that many options and they’re all fantastic, it’s hard for me to justify a non-vegan selection like I might at another place. They also have fantastic oat milk lattes, and I want to try their chai as well. I’m so happy they have a rewards program because they can take all my money- and give me a little back haha I love their soups, vegan chili, Buffalo Chik’n sandwich, both vegan breakfast sammies, and their Florentine salad. Still several things yet for me to try. Just had to give some love and appreciation for this place- they’re wonderful, and I hope they have continued success and growth! Thanks, Bonafide!

Absolutely enjoyed this new locally owned bakeshop! Everything is scratch made and made fresh daily. I highly recommend the thumbprint cookie with homemade strawberry jam (vegan) and the coconut cake (vegan)! They pride themselves on using fresh and local ingredients. There is a wide variety of sweets and lunch items, including Vegan options! The menu items are incredibly affordable and well priced. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming to all. They put their passion and love into everything they create. Do yourself a favor, and head into this bakeshop to cool off from the summer heat with a delicious sweet treat or lunch! If you’re looking for a great local cafe with delicious baked goods (muffins, scones, various pastries, etc.), flavorful sandwiches, and coffee, give Bonafide a try. Apex, and more specifically Beaver Creek Commons, is full of your typical chain restaurants which is fine, but to finally have a local cafe is really refreshing. The food is priced well and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back!

I was very pleased with a vegan spice layer cake with cream cheese frosting-a special order. It was delicious and the cake layers had the perfect balance of texture and moisture. Bonafide has my recommendation. I will be back!

My family was lucky enough to find this Cafe on opening day on 7/11/20. I was concerned with two picky eaters in the family. Food was great, and my son to got to order his favorite meal for lunch...breakfast. Portions were large (my wife brought home half of her sandwich) and prices were good. If youre stuck shopping at Beaver Creek Commons (as I was), this is a great place to get a break and some food, right across the street! Great selection of NC local products too!

I love this place. This the only place I know of that has both vegan and traditional menu items and pastries. I’m vegan and my wife isn’t we both get all the boxes checked here. They have the best vegan cheesecake I’ve ever had.

Amazing!!!! So yummy I got the BBQ jackfruit sandwich. I havent had a bbq sandwich in ages and I used to love them it was sooo good. So thankful for vegan friendly shops and especially ones that are THIS good. So nice to eat at restaurants without fear of something making me vomit because staff doesnt know ingredients... anyways. Love this place! You should try it out vegan or not. It is such a lovely yummy cafe!

I attended opening day of Bonafide Bakeshop & Cafe! It is adorable with friendly staff, easy to find and smells wonderful. So wonderful that I bought a whole Lemon Meringue Pie and will be going back this week for lunch!
